Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of income inequality, human development index, and minimum wage on poverty in Aceh Province. It uses secondary data in the form of time series for the period 2009-2023, published by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Aceh Province. The data analysis method employs multiple regression analysis using Eviews 10 software. The results show that income inequality has a negative and insignificant effect on poverty in Aceh Province. Furthermore, the human development index (HDI) has a negative and significant effect on poverty in Aceh Province. Meanwhile, the minimum wage has a positive and insignificant effect on poverty in Aceh Province. Simultaneously, income inequality, the human development index (HDI), and the minimum wage significantly affect poverty in Aceh Province.

Abstract

Economic growth in Aceh Province is an important issue that shows regional development through the increase in goods and services produced. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Aceh's economic growth only reached an average of 3.88% in 2018, far below the national average of 5.01%, which reflects challenges in resource utilization. Inflation in Aceh has experienced significant fluctuations between 1.53% and 8.09% from 2019 to 2023, which has the potential to hinder economic growth. Government expenditure also plays a crucial role in driving growth, where during the 2019-2023 period, the average development budget reached Rp 12.96 trillion, but the budget realization was only around Rp 12.29 trillion. This shows that despite large expenditures, the impact on economic growth has not been significant. In the theory of economic growth, there are various views on the factors that affect growth. Classical theory emphasizes the role of capital, labor, and technology, while Schumpeter's theory highlights innovation as the main key to growth. Inflation can serve as a barrier or driver, depending on economic conditions, while government spending is expected to stimulate economic growth through an increase in aggregate demand. This study uses inferential statistics to analyze the influence of inflation and government spending on Aceh's economic growth during the 2015-2023 period. The results of the analysis show that government spending has a positive and significant influence on economic growth, while inflation does not show a significant influence.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the Level of Education, Economic Growth, and Population Density on Quality of Life in Aceh, using a descriptive-quantitative approach in the form of time series data, for 5 years in the form of secondary data selected from the total of Aceh Province. The model used in this study is a multiple linear regression analysis model (Multiple Linear Regression) based on the OLS (Ordinary Least Square) method. Simultaneously, the F test shows that the three independent variables together have a significant effect on quality of life, with a calculated F value = 85.495, sig. = 0.000, and F table = 2.70. The coefficient of determination shows a value of R Square = 0.728, which means that 72.8% of the variation in quality of life can be explained by education level, economic growth and population density, while the rest is influenced by other variables outside the model.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how hard skills and soft skills change in the embroidery MSME group in Gampong Sidorejo, Langsa City before and after the Workshop activities. In this study the authors used a qualitative descriptive research type, with data collection methods through observation, interviews and documentation. MSMEs are an important part of the economy of a nation. The activities carried out in MSME activities are producing goods and trading in order to obtain large profits/income, but previously in order to produce quality goods, MSME groups must have adequate HR skills. The results showed that workshops can provide skill changes to the HR of the MSME group, which is seen from the level of knowledge and skills regarding the technique of designing embroidery motifs, the mothers of the MSME embroidery group have begun to understand the techniques of designing embroidery motifs and are able to make beautiful embroidery motif designs. At the level of increasing sales revenue, it can be seen that there was an increase in income of around 50% after the workshop activities were held. The economic growth of the people of Gampong Sidorejo, Langsa City, especially the embroidery MSME group, is at a good level, this is measured by an increase in embroidery production and income in the community's economic activities.

Abstract

AbstrakKegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di Desa Sukaramai Satu, Kecamatan Seruway, Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang, telah berhasil dengan baik, memberikan dampak signifikan pada dua aspek utama: peningkatan pengetahuan dan peningkatan produktivitas ekonomi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang berfokus pada peningkatan kapasitas usaha kelompok produksi kue Desa Sukaramai Satu ini bertujuan untuk mendorong kemandirian ekonomi desa. Melalui berbagai tahapan, mulai dari survei lokasi hingga praktik perhitungan harga pokok penjualan, diharapkan kelompok usaha ini dapat meningkatkan kualitas produk, memperluas pasar, dan pada akhirnya meningkatkan pendapatan. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa kelompok usaha kue menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam berbagai aspek usaha mereka. Mereka mampu meningkatkan produksi dengan efisiensi yang lebih baik, memisahkan keuangan usaha dari keuangan pribadi, dan mengakses pasar yang lebih luas. Penjualan meningkat, keuntungan usaha menjadi lebih stabil, dan mereka mampu mengembangkan usaha dengan lebih mandiri. Pelatihan capacity building terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan kelompok usaha produksi kue di Desa Sukaramai Satu. Dengan penerapan manajemen yang lebih baik, efisiensi produksi, dan pengelolaan keuangan yang tepat, kelompok usaha mampu mencapai kemandirian ekonomi dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan mereka. Kata kunci: capacity buiding; kemandirian ekonomi. AbstractCommunity service activities carried out in Sukaramai Satu Village, Seruway District, Aceh Tamiang Regency, have been successful, providing a significant impact on two main aspects: increasing knowledge and increasing economic productivity. This community service activity which focuses on increasing the business capacity of the Sukaramai Satu Village cake production group aims to encourage the village's economic independence. Through various stages, starting from location surveys to practicing calculating the cost of goods sold, it is hoped that this business group can improve product quality, expand the market, and ultimately increase revenue. The results of this activity show that the cake business group showed significant improvements in various aspects of their business. They are able to increase production with better efficiency, separate business finances from personal finances, and access wider markets. Sales increase, business profits become more stable, and they are able to develop their business more independently. Capacity building training has proven effective in improving the skills and knowledge of cake production business groups in Sukaramai Satu Village. By implementing better management, production efficiency and proper financial management, business groups are able to achieve economic independence and improve their welfare. Keywords: capacity building; economic independence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak belanja pemerintah di sektor kesehatan, pendidikan, dan perlindungan sosial terhadap Indeks Pembangunan Manusia di Provinsi Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan mengandalkan data sekunder. Periode sampelnya adalah tahun 2008 hingga tahun 2022. Penelitian ini menerapkan teknik analisis data regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan software Eviews 10. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pengeluaran pemerintah di sektor kesehatan mempunyai dampak yang dapat diabaikan dan tidak signifikan secara statistik terhadap Indeks Pembangunan Manusia di Provinsi Aceh. Sebaliknya Belanja Pemerintah pada sektor Pendidikan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan secara statistik terhadap Indeks Pembangunan Manusia di Provinsi Aceh. Dampak Belanja Pemerintah pada sektor Perlindungan Sosial terhadap Indeks Pembangunan Manusia di Provinsi Aceh cukup baik, namun tidak signifikan secara statistik. Alokasi kolektif Belanja Pemerintah pada sektor Kesehatan, Pendidikan, dan Perlindungan Sosial mempunyai dampak yang cukup besar terhadap Indeks Pembangunan Manusia di Provinsi Aceh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh belanja modal belanja bantuan sosial dan pertumbuhan ekonomi terhadap tingkat kemiskinan di Kabupaten Langkat. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang berasal dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) periode 2012-2021. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis regresi linear berganda dengan program eviews 10. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial variabel belanja bantuan sosial berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kemiskinan dan pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kemiskinan. Kemudian secara simultan pengaruh belanja bantuan sosial dan pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap kemiskinan di Kabupaten Langkat.

Abstract

Development can be driven by the population as the subject of development itself, and economic growth will increase if the population has high quality productivity. This research aims to analyze the impact of population growth, occupational education levels and also the workforce in Langsa City. . In this research, the data used is panel time series data.. This research uses the Pearson correlation approach method using the SPSS version 23 application. The results of the research show that the Population Growth variable (X1) is negatively related to economic growth with a strong correlation level in Langsa City; the Education Level variable (X2) is negatively related to economic growth with a moderate level of correlation; and the labor variable (X3) is negatively related to economic growth with a weak correlation in Langsa City. However, it should be remembered that the influence of labor on economic growth can vary depending on the conditions and other factors that exist in an area.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how Simalungun poverty rate fluctuates by the Human Development Index (IPM) and Open Unemployment Rate (TPT). Secondary data from the Simalungun Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) has been utilized in this study. For 23 districts and cities in Simalungun, a panel random effect model was utilized from 2023. The findings indicated that HDI and TPT decisively and adversely impacted Simalungun poverty levels. The government must thus confirm the riil data on the unemployment rate by address and encourage more unemployed others to develop their skills and knowledge by offering mentoring, funding, and more help for MSMEs, as well as by recruiting in new industries. The administration is anticipated to keep raising the bar regarding human development.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to determine the effect of roads on economic growth and to determine the effect of electricity on economic growth in Indonesia. This research uses Multiple Linear Regression analysis techniques. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. This type of data is secondary data. The results of this research show that road infrastructure has a probability value of 0.0858 > 0.05, so it can be concluded that road infrastructure has an influence but is not significant on Indonesia's economic growth. The probability value for electricity infrastructure is 0.0728 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that electricity infrastructure has an influence but is not significant on Indonesia's economic growth. This research uses data for 20 years, namely from 2003-2023.
