Abstract

The rapid advancement of telemedicine has revolutionized healthcare delivery, particularly in rural areas where access to healthcare services is often limited. This study explores the impact of telemedicine on improving healthcare access in rural communities, aiming to evaluate how virtual healthcare platforms can overcome geographical barriers and enhance patient outcomes. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative interviews with healthcare professionals and patients in rural settings, along with quantitative surveys to assess healthcare accessibility, satisfaction, and perceived effectiveness. The findings reveal that telemedicine significantly improves access to healthcare by reducing travel time, minimizing wait times for appointments, and offering continuous care, which is crucial for managing chronic conditions. Furthermore, patients expressed high satisfaction with the convenience and affordability of virtual consultations. However, challenges such as limited internet connectivity, technological literacy, and concerns about the quality of care were noted. In conclusion, telemedicine holds great potential in expanding healthcare access in rural communities, but it requires tailored strategies to address infrastructure gaps and ensure equitable access to all individuals. Future research should focus on the long-term outcomes and scalability of telemedicine initiatives in diverse rural settings.

Abstract

Background. Rapid urbanization in Jakarta has intensified challenges related to food security, limited land availability, and environmental degradation, prompting the need for sustainable household-scale food production systems. This study explores the application of smart aquaponics technology as an integrated model combining aquaculture and hydroponics for efficient food production within urban households. Purpose. The research aims to assess the technological feasibility, productivity outcomes, and environmental benefits of smart aquaponics as a sustainable alternative to conventional urban farming methods. Method. A mixed-method design was employed, incorporating experimental trials, sensor-based monitoring, and household surveys conducted between January and August 2024 across five Jakarta districts.. Results. Results indicate that smart aquaponics systems increased vegetable yield by 38% and reduced water consumption by 42% compared to traditional hydroponic setups. The integration of IoT sensors enabled automated nutrient control, improving fish growth rates and system stability. Respondents reported enhanced household food self-sufficiency and reduced monthly food expenditure. Conclusion. The study concludes that smart aquaponics offers a scalable and environmentally friendly solution for urban food resilience, aligning with Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals on food security and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Indigenous knowledge systems represent vital cultural resources that sustain community identity, social cohesion, and adaptive capacity, yet they face increasing erosion under the pressures of modernization and standardized development practices. Community service programs have been widely implemented as instruments of social engagement, although their role in strengthening cultural resilience and revitalizing indigenous knowledge remains insufficiently examined. This study aims to analyze how community service programs contribute to cultural resilience through the revitalization of indigenous knowledge systems within local communities. The research employs a qualitative approach grounded in participatory and interpretive frameworks, combining in-depth interviews, participant observation, and analysis of community service program documents. The findings reveal that community service programs foster cultural resilience when they are designed as participatory processes that recognize indigenous knowledge holders as central actors. Such programs facilitate intergenerational knowledge transmission, strengthen cultural pride, and support the adaptation of traditional practices to contemporary contexts. The results also indicate that cultural revitalization extends beyond preservation, functioning as an active process embedded in everyday social life. The study concludes that community service programs can serve as effective platforms for sustaining indigenous knowledge systems when they emphasize reciprocity, local agency, and cultural authority. These findings underscore the importance of culturally responsive community engagement in promoting sustainable and resilient development.

Abstract

Background. Service learning has gained recognition as a valuable pedagogical approach in higher education, aiming to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world practice. In the context of educational institutions, the role of leadership, particularly transformational leadership, plays a significant role in shaping the effectiveness of such programs. Purpose. This research explores the influence of principal transformational leadership on teacher performance within the framework of service learning in higher education institutions. Method. The study aims to assess how transformational leadership behaviors of school principals impact the engagement and performance of teachers involved in service learning programs. Using a quantitative research design, this study surveyed 150 teachers across several higher education institutions that implement service learning programs. Data were collected through questionnaires that assessed principals’ leadership styles and teachers’ performance in service learning contexts. Results. The results indicate that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, particularly in areas related to motivation, professional development, and commitment to service learning objectives. Teachers reported higher levels of engagement and effectiveness when their principals exhibited transformational leadership behaviors, such as inspirational motivation, individualized consideration, and intellectual stimulation. Conclusion. This study concludes that principals who embrace transformational leadership can significantly enhance teacher performance, thereby strengthening the impact of service learning programs.

Abstract

Background. The emergence of autonomous vehicles (AVs) presents a transformative challenge to traditional legal systems that were constructed around human-driven transportation. In Indonesia, where the regulatory framework for vehicle liability remains rooted in fault-based principles, the advent of driverless technology demands a fundamental rethinking of accountability, risk distribution, and consumer protection. Purpose. This study aims to examine the legal implications of AV accidents and propose a model for liability allocation that aligns with Indonesia’s socio-legal context and evolving technological landscape.   Method. Using a qualitative normative legal research method, the study analyzes statutory frameworks, comparative legal systems, and case precedents from jurisdictions that have begun regulating autonomous mobility. Results. The findings indicate that existing Indonesian traffic and consumer laws inadequately address the complexities of autonomous decision-making and manufacturer responsibility. A hybrid liability framework combining strict product liability with adaptive insurance mechanisms is proposed to balance technological innovation with public safety. Conclusion. The research concludes that establishing comprehensive legislation on AV accountability is essential for fostering legal certainty, ethical responsibility, and technological trust. These legal norms must evolve in tandem with technological progress to ensure justice in a driverless future.

Abstract

Background. The rapid development of artificial intelligence has profoundly transformed creative and innovative practices, raising complex challenges for existing intellectual property law frameworks. Legal regimes governing copyright and patents were historically constructed around human authorship, inventorship, and intentional creativity, assumptions that are increasingly strained by the emergence of autonomous and generative AI systems. Purpose. This study aims to critically review how contemporary intellectual property law responds to the growing role of artificial intelligence and to assess whether current doctrines remain conceptually and normatively adequate. Method. The research adopts a qualitative doctrinal and critical review method, analyzing statutes, policy documents, judicial decisions, and peer-reviewed literature related to artificial intelligence and intellectual property law across multiple jurisdictions. Results. The findings reveal persistent legal uncertainty, doctrinal rigidity, and fragmented regulatory approaches, with most legal systems favoring reinterpretation of human-centric concepts rather than substantive reform. The analysis also highlights significant divergence between jurisdictions in balancing innovation incentives, ethical concerns, and legal certainty. Conclusion. The study concludes that incremental doctrinal adaptation alone is insufficient to address the structural challenges posed by artificial intelligence. A more integrated and forward-looking legal framework is required to reconcile technological autonomy with the foundational objectives of intellectual property law and to ensure its continued relevance in the age of artificial intelligence.

Abstract

Background. The rapid expansion of the digital economy has transformed global market structures, creating new opportunities for innovation while raising significant concerns regarding consumer protection, data governance, and regulatory coherence. Existing legal frameworks often struggle to address the complexity of cross-border digital transactions and platform-based business models, resulting in gaps that affect both market efficiency and user trust. Purpose. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of legal frameworks in regulating the digital economy, with a particular focus on balancing consumer protection and innovation. Method. A qualitative doctrinal and comparative legal research design is employed, analyzing statutory instruments, policy documents, and regulatory practices across selected jurisdictions. Data are systematically evaluated using thematic analysis and comparative legal matrices to identify patterns, strengths, and limitations in regulatory approaches. Results.The findings reveal that jurisdictions with coherent, adaptive, and enforceable legal frameworks demonstrate higher levels of consumer trust and innovation performance. Evidence indicates that regulatory quality, rather than regulatory intensity, determines the success of digital governance. Conclusion.The study concludes that an integrated and flexible legal framework is essential for sustaining digital market growth while ensuring consumer protection.

Abstract

Background. The rapid development of educational technology has shifted learning environments from traditional classroom settings toward flexible, technology-enhanced ecosystems that allow students to access materials anytime and anywhere. However, the integration of interactive platforms in Arabic vocabulary learning remains underexplored Purpose. This literature study aims to analyze how ClassPoint and selected interactive applications support ubiquitous learning principles, enhance student engagement, and improve vocabulary mastery. Method. The analysis indicates that ClassPoint, with its interactive quiz features, annotation tools, and immediate feedback system, contributes to active participation and fosters learner autonomy. Results. Similarly, other interactive applications such as Quizizz, Quizlet, and Kahoot facilitate repeated exposure to vocabulary, multimodal reinforcement, and context-based learning, all of which are essential for mufradat acquisition. The findings also show that ubiquitous learning environments provide greater flexibility for students to practice language skills beyond the classroom, thereby increasing retention and motivation. Conclusion. In conclusion, the literature supports the view that combining ClassPoint with interactive applications offers an effective and engaging approach to mufradat learning, particularly when aligned with ubiquitous learning principles.

Abstract

Background. The rapid evolution of digital technologies has significantly impacted corporate training methods. Traditional e-learning environments have been widely adopted, yet the emergence of ubiquitous learning (u-learning) presents a shift towards more flexible, context-aware learning experiences. Despite the growing interest, limited studies provide a comparative analysis between e-learning and u-learning in corporate settings. Purpose. This research aims to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of e-learning and u-learning environments in corporate training, focusing on learner engagement, content delivery, and overall performance. Method. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with corporate employees who participated in both e-learning and u-learning training programs. Data were collected across several multinational companies, and analyzed using statistical tools to identify performance trends and engagement metrics. Results. Findings reveal that u-learning environments enhance learner engagement and adaptability due to their flexibility in accessing content across diverse devices and contexts. Conversely, e-learning showed better outcomes in structured, course-driven scenarios but lacked the same level of interaction and contextual learning. Conclusion. The study concludes that u-learning environments provide a more personalized and engaging training experience, particularly for employees with diverse learning needs. Organizations should consider integrating u-learning strategies alongside traditional e-learning for more dynamic corporate training programs.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation technologies has transformed various aspects of modern life, from labor markets to public services. While AI offers potential for innovation and efficiency, it also raises significant concerns regarding social equity, especially for marginalized and underrepresented communities. These concerns highlight the need for a critical examination of how AI systems may reinforce or mitigate existing societal disparities. This study aims to explore the challenges and opportunities that AI poses to social equity in the age of automation. The research focuses on identifying potential biases in AI-driven decision-making processes and assessing the impact of automation on employment, education, and access to services. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study combines qualitative interviews with stakeholders from policy, tech industry, and affected communities, alongside quantitative analysis of labor and demographic data. This methodological design allows for a comprehensive understanding of both structural and experiential dimensions of AI’s impact. The findings reveal that while AI has the potential to improve service delivery and expand access to information, its deployment often reflects and amplifies existing inequalities when ethical and inclusive frameworks are absent. Particularly in automated hiring systems and predictive policing, biases embedded in algorithms disproportionately affect vulnerable groups. The study concludes that addressing AI's social equity implications requires intentional design, inclusive policy, and sustained public engagement. As automation continues to reshape society, equity must become a central consideration in AI development and governance.
