Abstract

The case of the Covid-19 corona virus infection in Central Java is in a critical situation because it is ranked number 3 in Indonesia. The spread of cases outside the cluster was due to the lack of discipline by the community in wearing masks. Kudaile is one of the sub-districts located in the Slawi sub-district with a fairly dense population so it is very vulnerable to the spread of Covid-19 if it is not balanced with public awareness of using masks appropriately. The service activities that we will carry out are creative competitions / fights using masks in Kudaile Village, Slawi District. With this service activity, it is hoped that the public will be aware of the importance of using masks appropriately to prevent transmission. The result of this community service is the collection of videos of yells wearing masks which prove that the public is increasingly aware of how to use masks and the discipline of using masks is getting tighter to prevent the transmission of the spread of the corona virus.

Abstract

Along with the development of technology, children prefer to spend time playing alone using game media called gadgets. Children who play with gadgets for 30 minutes increase their risk of being late in movement and speech by 49%. Cadres as implementers of posyandu activities have a large role in monitoring the growth and development of toddlers. Efforts that can be made by cadres as the spearhead of Posyandu are by disseminating knowledge about health, one of which is about children's growth and development. Cadres perform well in carrying out their duties as cadres. This is necessary to obtain accuracy in measurements and identify growth deviations, so that management can be carried out as early as possible to prevent stunting. This research aims to determine the knowledge of mothers of toddlers in stimulating development using active play methods and simple play media through evaluating the performance of posyandu cadres. The population in this study were mothers of toddlers in Pagongan Village who attended regular meetings at Posyandu. The instrument used in this research was a questionnaire containing the characteristics of respondents, knowledge of mothers of toddlers and measuring cadre performance. Quantitative data analysis uses descriptive analysis. The results obtained by mothers about active play methods and simple play media were less than 51 people (63.75%) and the majority of mothers assessed that the performance of cadres was still less active in conveying this information, namely 49 people (61.25%). The suggestion is that there needs to be a maximum role for cadres at the posyandu in providing information to mothers, as well as motivating mothers to continue bringing their children to the posyandu regularly.

Abstract

Myths are traditions that are widely spread throughout society. One myth that often arises and spreads quickly is related to health issues. West Tegal is a region in Indonesia located on the north coast of Java, with easy access to sources of protein or seafood. However, there is a myth that makes pregnant women reluctant to consume seafood because it is considered dangerous for the fetus. This study aims to examine myths related to pregnancy from the cultural perspective of the West Tegal community, Tegal City, using a qualitative approach with pregnant women as respondents. Respondents were selected using purposive sampling and accidental sampling techniques, namely pregnant women who underwent antenatal care (ANC) at the West Tegal Community Health Center and were willing to be informants. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews to explore the experiences, views, and beliefs of four pregnant women regarding food myths during pregnancy. The results showed that pregnant women in the working area of the Tegal Barat Community Health Center, Tegal City, still practiced pregnancy care that was not in accordance with health theory. During pregnancy, they believed in myths about food restrictions, such as not eating fish because it causes itching/allergies in the fetus, squid because it causes the fetus's skin to turn black, and shrimp because it causes the fetus's skin to become scaly.
