Abstract

Rawa Buaya Village is one of the villages in the West Jakarta. This village is a densely populated village with a limited number of health facilities. Based on the 2018 DKI National Basic Health Research (RISKESDAS) data, the proportion of the population aged over 10 years in West Jakarta who behaved properly in washing their hands was only 49.11%. Hand washing is the most important basic technique in the prevention and control of infection transmission because it mechanically removes dirt and dust from the skin surface and reduces the number of pathogenic microorganisms. Because knowledge of clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) by washing hands with soap is a determining factor in the transmission of infectious diseases such as diarrhea, respiratory infections including Covid-19, education is needed to increase this knowledge. Education by counseling and training activities are carried out online through the Zoom teleconference on April 23, 2022, followed by 45 village residents. Participants' knowledge was assessed by pre-test and post-test using Google Form. From the post-test’s results, there is an increase in the participants’s knowledge by 22.9% with an increase in the percentage of correct answers from the pre and post test ranging from 6.6% - 35.6%, which is also expected to change in habits or behavior.

Abstract

Dengue hemorhagic fever (DHF) is an infection caused by dengue virus. Dengue is a virus that is transmitted from Aedes Spp mosquito, the fastest growing mosquito in the world and has transmitted dengue virus. The prevalence of DHF until July 2020 has reached 71.633 in Indonesia, and 4.227 cases only in DKI Jakarta province. We usually don’t find new case on July, but this year we still find new cases on July. This should increase our vigilance, especially at this time when there is a pandemic of COVID-19 cases. The purpose of this activity is to increase public knowledge about dengue fever so that they can prevent dengue fever in their area. This activity is carried out through seminar using the zoom application because conditions in the field do not allow offline activities to be held. The activity will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022. The results obtained through this PKM activity is an increase in the level of participants' knowledge about DHF as evidenced by an increase in post-test scores after attending the seminar. The conclusion of this PKM activity went well because of the support from all related parties from institutions, solid teams, and partners who actively participated. The shortage of this PKM activity is that the activities are carried out online because the conditions are still not conducive to do an offline activity. The advice we can give is to carry out PKM activities again with the same partner with different health topics according to the conditions that exist in the partners.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is caused by the dengue virus and is still a public health problem today, especially in urban areas. The death rate caused by this disease is very high if not treated immediately. Dengue virus is mainly transmitted by female mosquitoes Aedes aegypty and Aedes. albopictus. Aedes spp mosquitoes are mosquitoes that have the ability to reproduce quickly because the eggs of these mosquitoes can live in dry conditions. Indonesia implements the Jumantik program (Larva Monitoring staff) as a way of eradicating mosquitoes. However, with the current implementation of PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions) in DKI Jakarta, this program has become a bit difficult to implement. This counseling was carried out as part of increasing public literacy in understanding dengue fever from symptoms to prevention at the household level, so that people became aware of this disease even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The counseling was conducted online and prior to the counseling, an initial survey of understanding about DHF was conducted and a final survey was conducted after the counseling to assess the level of public understanding about DHF. The results achieved in the form of benefits, especially for the community, namely residents understand about dengue fever and its prevention through eradicating mosquito larvae in their respective homes, which in turn can reduce the number of dengue cases in Jakarta.

Abstract

Jakarta is listed as one of the cities in the world with the most polluted air quality, with an annual average PM 2.5 of 49.4 g/m³ in 2019. The sources of air pollution in Jakarta among others are the large number of motor vehicles that are not in accordance with the guidelines of safe vehicles for the environment. Not to mention air pollution from industries and factories fueled by coal or other fossils. Online motorcycle taxi drivers are a profession that is at risk of experiencing the effects of this air pollution. Respiratory disorders that can occur such as acute respiratory infections, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), decreased lung function and lung malignancy. To reduce the risk of respiratory problems that can arise in online motorcycle taxi drivers, efforts are being made to prevent and stop exposure to air pollutants through counseling activities which carried out on November 12, 2023. This activity was attended by 42 online motorcycle taxi drivers. Participants' knowledge was assessed by pre-test and post-test using the Google form to assess participants' cognitive changes. From the results of the pre-test and post-test evaluation, it was found that there was an increase in knowledge about the risks and respiratory tract disorders that could arise, namely 25.5%, with an increasing percentage of correct answers of pre-test and post-test ranging from 4.8 % - 40.5%. It is hoped that this increased knowledge will change the behavior of online motorcycle taxi drivers to always pay attention of prevention and stop exposure to air pollutants.

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia bears a triple burden of malnutrition, namely undernutrition, overweight, and micronutrient deficiencies. The global economic crisis due to COVID-19 has produced lifestyle changes, including changes in dietary intake, that may increase malnutrition risks. The Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey 2022 data show an incidence of stunting of 15.2% in West Jakarta, well above the 2024 14% target determined by Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo in Presidential Regulation No. 72 for 2021 on accelerated stunting reduction. Various strategies have been formulated by West Jakarta’s municipal government, such as 3-month courses of nutritious food for children at risk of stunting. Available studies show that knowledge is associated with attitude and behavior.  At present, however, the effect of improving child growth monitoring knowledge through health promotion to cadres and early childhood education (PAUD) teachers in Kelurahan Jatipulo, West Jakarta, is still unknown. Therefore West Jakarta’s Administrative City Health Department invited the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Trisakti to organize health promotion for family guidance team cadres and PAUD teachers as vanguards in child growth monitoring. Child growth standard usage questionnaires were distributed before and after health promotion, the results being that most respondents were ignorant or uncertain about growth chart usage, had never used growth chart in the previous year, and had never participated in growth chart usage training. Post-promotion knowledge level of cadres and teachers increased by 55% (p<0.001). Promotional activity on growth curve usage for more respondents and in a wider work area in West Jakarta may become the next public service program.

Abstract

Abstract

The coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) has become a challenge for the media world. Even though they have been declared cured, some Covid-19 survivors still have health complaints. Abnormal symptoms, signs, or clinical parameters that persist two weeks or more after the onset of COVID-19 and do not return to their initial healthy state are potentially considered long-term effects of the disease. Although such changes are primarily reported in people with severe and critical illness, lasting effects also occur in individuals with mild infections that do not require hospitalization. This study aims to explore the role of antioxidants on the pathogenesis of Covid19 and its relationship with SOD1, 2 and 3 genomic variations. Getting alternative biomarkers for long covid19 detection. Research Method: The research sample is blood and questionnaires that will be taken from respondents affected by Covid19 a maximum of 6 months before data collection is held. Furthermore, DNA isolation, DNA amplification, cutting with restriction enzymes, and DNA band documentation with gel electrophoresis will be carried out. Symptoms related to systemic are the most common symptoms found in respondents with Long Covid19. A total of 8 respondents had systemic related symptoms, namely weakness, lethargy and sweating, while skin-related complaints were found in three respondents and one respondent had lung-related complaints. The average SOD activity value of respondents was 2.19 U/ml. In this study, more symptoms of long COVID-19 were found associated with systemic and cardiovascular symptoms. The complaints were not differentiated by the sex of the respondents. The output draft will be processed immediately after getting other results.
