Abstract

The most-high matter of COVID-19 in West Sumatera Province was found in Padang City. Some researchers argue that the environment greatly influences contagion of COVID-19. This research aims to anatomize the COVID-19 climate environment in Padang City in the period March 16th 2020 – May 20th 2022. The study used secondary data in the form of COVID-19 surveillance data, namely the number of patients who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 from the Padang City Health Office and the climate from the Meteorology and Climatology Agency of Padang City. Weather elements include maximum temperature (°C), minimum temperature (°C), average temperature (°C), humadity (%), and rainfall (mm). Data analysis used pearson correlation. The result of the study indicated that minimum temperature and rainfall had a significant relationship to positive matters of COVID-19 in Padang City which were marked with p-values of 0.004 and 0.

Abstract

One of the efforts taken by the government to help people boost their immunity and prevent transmission is the Covid vaccination program. There are a number of government entities that collaborate with local institutions to distribute vaccines to the general public. Tourism's long-term sustainability is dependent on good health. However, the difficulty is that the community, in general, and tourism actors, in particular, continue to oppose the implementation of this program. There are different causes, and challenges that make some community members reject this initiative. These issues must be addressed, and one way to do so is through health education. This activity was carried out utilizing a mixed method approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The community in Jorong Aie Malanca, Nagari Harau, Payakumbuh is the object of the activity. The implementation of the activities collected demonstrated that the community is enthusiastic about vaccination; although information about the ease and safety of vaccines is still insufficient, this program has been successful in assisting the community in overcoming these issues.

Abstract

Beberapa tahun belakang ini bisnis yang sukses telah banyak dilakukkan oleh generasi muda (young entrepreneurship). Pemerintah Kabupaten 50 kota berusaha meningkatkan ekonomi kreatif di kalangan anak muda, salah satunya memfasilitasi pendirian Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) AN-NUR di Nagari Sungai Kamuyang. Namun Pelatihan yang diadakan oleh PKBM AN-NUR masih terbatas. Di masa ketidakpasian terkait pandemik Covid-19 kelompok wanita kesetaraan paket C membutuhkan pelatihan make up wisuda dan totok wajah agar dapat membuka peluang usaha. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan make up wisuda serta perawatan totok wajah kepada wanita kesetaraan paket C. Kombinasi ceramah, demontrasi, pelatihan, video tutorial serta praktek langsung oleh mitra merupakan motede yang digunakan dalam penyampaian materi product knowledge, teknik make up, pengetahuan titik akupuntur, teknik massage dan totok wajah. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan di PKBM AN-NUR dengan menerapkan protokol kesahatan dan dapat berjalan lancar. Kelompok wanita kesetaraan paket C dapat melakukan make up wisuda dan terampil dalam melakukan perawatan totok wajah. Dengan pelatihan keterampilan saat situasi pandemik Covid 19 ini, kelompok wanita kesetaraan paket C dapat memiliki keahlian untuk kedepannya membuka peluang usaha tipe home service (panggilan ke rumah) maupun beauty parlor (mendatangi ke tempatnya langsung) yang tidak membutuhkan modal terlalu besar.

Abstract

Academic Culture is the habituation that can characterize an institution in college; good quality culture ensures the development of proper academic services. Technology advancement that threatens morality and academic culture must be anticipated with spiritually nuanced programs like the Subuh Mubarokahh program. As with any program, evaluation must be carried out. This research aims to evaluate behavior change and the benefits of academic culture activities. This is descriptive quantitative non-associative research, with a questionnaire as the instrument; participants included 43 lecturers and 504 students from Padang State University's Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality. According to the research results, the benefits of improving personal qualities that encourage the quality of faith and pious deeds as a Muslim are very high, and the development of a quality academic culture of kriya, ruhiyah, and badaniyah from personal lecturers and students. The program evaluation recommends that the Subuh mubarokah always be carried out by developing studies that align with the needs of lecturers and students to ensure the program's benefits in the realization of an academic culture that becomes the self-image of a quality institution.

Abstract

Materi pembelajaran produktif khususnya pada materi perawatan wajah sangat kurang diminati oleh siswa karena materi pembelajarannya yang sangat sulit dan banyak. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut diperlukannya media pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan minat dan motivasi belajar siswa dengan melakukan pembelajaran menggunakan media berbasis teknologi. Di zaman sekarang siswa lebih banyak beraktivitas menggunakan android sehingga pembelajaran menggunakan media berbasis android ini sangat cocok digunakan untuk pembelajaran yang kurang diminati siswa karena pada media ini berisi materi yang sangat lengkap dan mudah diakses yang pada kontenya dilengkapi dengan handout, video, gambar dan soal evaluasi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R & D) dengan menggunakan model Four D (4 D) a. Tahap pendefinisian (Define); b) Tahap Perancangan (Design); c) Tahap Pengembangan (Develop); d) Tahap Penyebaran (Disseminate). Penelitian ini hanya dilakukan sampai batas mengembangkan dan menghasilkan sebuah aplikasi media pembelajaran yang valid untuk diimplementasikan berdasarkan penilaian validator. Instrument pengumpulan data terdiri dari lembar validasi ahli media (3 ahli) dan validasi ahli materi (3 ahli). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil validasi yang dilakukan diperoleh persentase rata-rata penilaian sebesar 97, 5 % dengan kategori valid. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi media pembelajaran berbasis android sudah valid untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran perawatan wajah.

Abstract

Abstract: Indonesia as a region with a tropical climate has a variety of plants spread across various regions. These plants contain many chemicals that can easily be used as traditional medicine, one of which is bidara leaves (Ziziphus Mauritiana). Bidara leaves are not only used by people in China, but Indonesian people also use Ziziphus Mauritiana as a medicine for dysentery, diarrhea and gum swelling. Wide distribution and in large quantities in Indonesia makes it easy for people to cultivate and use it. Much research has been conducted to discuss the efficacy of Ziziphus Mauritiana. The research aims to determine the various benefits of Ziziphus mauritiana leaves which have been scientifically proven through research in Indonesia. Method: Conduct a literature search using the Google Scholar application and analyze the literature that meets the inclusion criteria. Results: From the search results and research results, we concluded about the benefits of Ziziphus mauritiana leaves. Conclusion: The greatest benefit of Ziziphus mauritiana leaves is as an antimicrobial, apart from that there are many other benefits such as analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and functions as a plant that can reduce cholesterol levels in the leaves.

Abstract

Skin aging is a phenomenon of decreasing the size, number of skin cells and changes in the organic function of the skin caused by a process of deterioration of the skin structure and a decrease in normal skin function. This study aims to make cosmetic face masks for the care of aging facial skin using a mixture of oatmeal and gambir ingredients. This research uses an experimental method with a quantitative descriptive approach. The types of data sources used are primary data and data collection techniques using observation and documentation methods. This study used organoleptic tests (texture, aroma, adhesion), hedonic tests (panelists' preferences) and laboratory tests. The panelists used consisted of 7 people. The proportion of oatmeal and gambir masks used is 20:80, 30:70 and 40:60. In the organoleptic test, the highest texture was found in the ratio of 20:80, in the highest aroma test it was found in the comparison of 20:80 and in the highest adhesion test it was found in the ratio of 20:80 and 30:70. Meanwhile, the highest hedonic test results (panelists' preferences) are found in a ratio of 30:70. In the results of laboratory tests on the proportion of masks of 30:70, there was a content of vitamin C as much as 11.66% and vitamin A as much as 0.26% in 100 gr of mask samples.

Abstract

Education will produce scholarly, intellectual and technological human resources to increase competitiveness. Black and white photo and color makeup is one of the core competencies of a beautician. There are still limitations in learning black and white photo and color makeup in the Department of Makeup and Beauty, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, Padang State University. Students are still struggling to master the basics of black and white and color photo makeup and have not been able to apply materials and cosmetics correctly. This study aims to develop interactive multimedia learning media for black and white photo and color makeup. This research is a development using the 4-D method (define, design, develop and disseminate). Quality and practicality were observed in teachers, students and practicing professionals. The results show the following; (1) The validity of interactive multimedia as a valid medium (2) The practicality of interactive multimedia as a practical medium based on the responses of teachers and students after the test (3) Effective efficacy in increasing the learning activities of the students with a very good category and the learning results of the students before and after using interactive multimedia as a medium. Based on the findings of this study, it is concluded that interactive multimedia as a medium is valid, practical and effective to be used as a learning medium in black and white photo and color makeup lessons.

Abstract

Prevalensi penyakit gigi, terutama caries dentis, menjadi masalah kesehatan terutama di kalangan anak-anak. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendeteksi dini caries dentis dan memberikan edukasi kesehatan gigi mulut pada anak-anak SDN 16 dan 26 Air Tawar Barat, Kota Padang. Masalah kesehatan gigi pada anak-anak di wilayah tersebut menunjukkan kebutuhan akan intervensi preventif dan edukatif yang lebih efektif. Pengabdian ini dilakukan saat kegiatan classmeeting pada tanggal 11-12 Desember 2023. Metode deteksi dini melibatkan pemeriksaan gigi bersama mahasiswa koas FKG UNAND secara menyeluruh dan pemetaan kondisi kesehatan gigi. Edukasi dilakukan dengan audio visual menggosok gigi yang benar. Hasil deteksi caries dentis pada SD 16 Air Tawar anak penderita caries dentis sebanyak 68 siswa dari 94 siswa yang diperiksa. Sementara SD 26 Air Tawar anak penderita caries dentis sebanyak 94 siswa dari 100 siswa yang diperiksa. Hasil deteksi caries dentis menjadi dasar untuk menyusun program perawatan gigi yang sesuai, sedangkan kegiatan edukasi bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan anak-anak dan guru tentang pentingnya perawatan gigi mulut. Dengan melibatkan peranan guru, diharapkan adanya perubahan positif dalam perilaku kesehatan gigi anak-anak. Melalui kolaborasi aktif antara pihak sekolah, keluarga, tenaga kesehatan, dan masyarakat, diharapkan terwujudnya peningkatan kualitas hidup dan kesehatan gigi pada anak-anak SDN 16 dan 26 Air Tawar Barat, Kota Padang.
