Abstract

This research was motivated by complaints that are made by the guest to the front office employee regarding low responsive and low empathie by the guests, the absence of confirmation and clarification of issues that the guest had given to the employee. The research uses consisted of four indicators witch are hear them out, emphatize, apologize, and taking action and follow up. The research use descriptive study with qualitative data, and collected using Method interviews, observation, and documentation, for the sample use snowball sampling. These results indicate that the handling of guest complaints by front office employees at Grand Rocky Hotel Bukittinggi using the HEAT are as follows: 1)the front office employees had conducted hear them out by listening carefully, respect and respond actively and understand guests,2)the front office employee had conducted emphatize to guests 3)the front office employee had conducted apologize and humble to guest 4)the front office employee had conducted taking action by clarified, give a solutions, approval and take action and follow-up. Key Word : Hear them out, emphatize, apologize, taking action and follow up.

Abstract

The purpuse of research is to see how big the influence of variable Motivation (X) towards the visited decession (Y) to the tourist attraction of Pasir Jambak Beach in Padang City. The sample of this research were 80 people taken using purposive sampling technique. The data collection was done with the questionnaire using likert scale that had been tested its validity and reliability. The research results indicate that: (1) Motivation is in good category (37,50%), (2) The decision to visit is in good category (52,50%), (3) Motivation influence toward decision to visit are 16,6% and 83, 4% are influence from other factors. the regression coefficient value of this research are 0.162 with a value of t arithmetic 3.935 on sig. 0,000 ≤ 0.05. This means that each increase of 1 unit of motivation will increase 0.162 Decision to visit units.

Abstract

In General purpose, this research is to make an inventory of potential Nagari Barulak to be a tourist village. This study was a descriptive study with qualitative approach. The sampling technique is done by purposive sampling, data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation involving informants and respondents. According to the research, the authors found some potential, Barulak has (1) Cultural Attractions, they are Masjid Taqwa Barulak, Randai Sawahliek, Silek Kampuang Datuak Malano, Pulang Padi Limo Boleh, Batagak Panghulu, Yasinan Nagari, Khatam Alqurán, Pawai Pusuang, Pangek Lapuak, Saka Anau, Tujin Jaguang, Sambalado Baluik, Randang Talua dan Kawa Daun, (2) Nature Attraction : Siboji, Puncak Kubu, Puncak Batu, Batu Baroda, Batu Kursi, Kebun Kol, Ghimau Aka (Macan Tutul), Kambing Super Boncah (3) Sepcial interest tourism: Manyuluah, Malukah, Tambakau, Baburu Kondiak. Nagari Barulak adequate public transportation such as public transportation and buses, besides Nagari Barulak have a tourist village infrastructure, such as irrigation systems, communication networks, health facilities, terminals, power supply, sewerage, roads to the security system. Barulak also has a complete tourist facilities such as Tower House, Rumah Gadang and Villa boncah highway as accommodation, 3 restaurants, traditional markets, and Barulak has public facilities such as mosque and toilet. And the important thing, Barulak communities themselves also have the courtesy, respect and hospitality to tourists.Keywords: Inventory, Potential, Tourism Village

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the employee interpersonal communication with employees purchasing food and beverage division which in terms of openness, confidence, verbal and nonverbal communication, empathy, positivity, and conflicts in interpersonal relationships. This type of research is descriptive qualitative data. Techniques of collecting data using interviews, observation, and documentation. From the results of this study concluded that the openness indicator is only a fraction of employees are open in communicating about the interpersonal realize yourself, accept yourself, the desire to respond honestly and desire to convey information. In the case of most of the employees have confidence build confidence and mutual trust. Verbal and nonverbal communication only some employees are to communicate effectively and listen while understanding. Most employees have empathy in terms of feel the problems of others. Most give positive attention and gives a feeling of positive and most participated in solving the problem if there is a conflict. Abstract

This study aims to determine the employee's satisfaction Aliga HotelPadang. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. Population of thisresearch is all employees Aliga Hotel Padang, amounting to 58 people. The sampleselection of this study using total sampling technique (58 people). Collecting datausing a questionnaire based on Likert Scale which has proven its validity andreliability. The results showed that overall job satisfaction of employees belong to acategory quite satisfied with the average value of 104.74 which were in the range of87.7 - <107.2. While based on individual indicators, namely: 1) The contents belongto the category of work is quite satisfied with an average of 18.84 in the range of15.7 - <19.2; 2) Supervision classified in categories quite satisfied with an averageof 19.19 in the range of 15.7 - <19.2; 3) Opportunity to advance classified incategories quite satisfied with an average of 18.24 in the range of 15.7 - <19.2; 4)Wages belong to the category quite satisfied with an average of 12.86 in the rangeof 11.2 - <13.7; 5) Co-workers belong to a category quite satisfied with an averageof 19.02 in the range of 15.7 - <19.2; 6) Working conditions are satisfied belong tothe category with an average 16.59 in the range of 16.5 - <19.5.

Abstract

This reseach aims to determine the effect of compensation towards employee performance at Premier Basko Hotel Padang. The compensation indicators are salaries, incentives, benefits and facilities. The employee performance indicators are general and personal skills, managerial skills, and departmental performance. The type of this research is descriptive quantitative, with population of all employees of Premier Basko Hotel Padang, totaling 106 employees. As for the number of samples in this reseach as many as 50 people. Sampling technique is purposive sampling, that is in taking the basic sample based on certain criterion. Data collection techniques were done by distributing questionnaires using Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. Further data is analyzed through descriptive analysis with categorization method of assessment based on the average score and percentage of assessment. While the technique of data analysis using simple regression linear and hypothesis testing using statistical t test. The results showed average compensation variable is 4.37 with TCR of 87.4%. This means that compensation falling into the category of often given. Furthermore from the data processing can be seen that the average employee performance variable is 3.68 with TCR of 73.7%. This means that employee performance is included in good category. The hypothesis in this reseach knows that compensation has a significance value of 0.000, this can be interpreted that the compensation has a significant effect on the employees performance of Premier Basko Hotel Padang. While for the regression coefficient of variable compensation is 0.973 units. This means that if there is an increase in compensation of the unit it will increase the employee performance of 0.973 units. Keywords: Compensation and Performance

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Describe the employee discipline Hotel Daima Padang, 2) Describe the employee's performance Daima Hotel Padang, and 3) Analyzing there a positive and significant relationship between the work and performance of employee discipline Hotel Daima Padang. This research is correlational research. The population in the study were employees of Hotel Daima Padang totaling 50 people. The sample totaled 50 employees taking the total sampling technique. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed through description and correlation analysis using SPSS. The results showed that: 1) Discipline Employees are in the good category (72%), 2) Employee Performance are the good category (56%), 3) Results Corelasi Product Moment test with significance level of 5%, there is a positive relationship and significantly between Discipline Working with Employee performance with r value of 0.0418 with the interpretation of the relationship is quite strong. Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of infrastructure and facilities in the tourism site Candi Padang Roco. The purpose of research is to determine the development strategy of infrastructure and facilities of tourism site Candi Padang Roco.This research is a descriptive study with qualitative data. Data was collected using interviews, observation and documentation involving informants with snowball sampling technique, namely: four managers (Department of Tourism), three people Kenagarian Siguntur and three travelers. Data analysis techniques in the study include: data reduction, data presentation and conclusions.The results of this study stated that: 1) The strength of the infrastructure and facilities of tourism site Candi Padang Roco, has been the availability of infrastructure and facilities most tourism site. 2) The weakness of infrastructure and facilities of tourism site are the road conditions are not good, there is no electricity, clean water is not available, there is no public transport to tourism site there is no shop, café or restaurant and not a home stay. 3) Opportunities that have the infrastructure and facilities to complement the tourism site is their discourse managers for the development of infrastructure and facilities of tourism site like building a bridge. 4) Threats to infrastructure and facilities of tourism site is the presence of the other attractions that are superior, lack of awareness of travelers to keep the tourism siteDevelopment strategy of infrastructure and facilities for tourism site Candi Padang Roco are improv road infrastructure. Using the river as a source of clean water and lighting. Provide nurses and first aid required by tourists. Provide homestay which have unique characteristics. Build a restaurant or café. Provide rental bikes as transportation to tourism site. Conducting conduct training to the community and invite the community to participate actively in creating tourist charms, tourism attraction at least once a week.Key words: Development Strategy, Infrastructure and Facilities of tourism site

Abstract

This reseach aims to find out how big the influence of interpersonal communication (X) on employee performance (Y) in Daima Hotel Padang, with total populations of 74 employees and Sample with 43 permanent employees. Data collection techniques were conducted by using questionnaires, and documentation by using Likert scale that has been tested for its validity and reliability. Further data is analyzed through description and correlation analysis with the help of computer program SPSS version 16.00. The results of this reseach found that: 1) Interpersonal Communication is in good enough category (84%), 2) Employee performance is in good enough category (42%), 3) Influence of Interpersonal Communication on Employee Performance Daima Hotel Padang, with Asymp Sig for variable Interpersonal communication is 0.849 and for employee performance is 0.115. With the value of Sig> from 0.05, it means that the better communication interpersonal employees the better the results of employee performance in Daima Hotel Padang and vice versa. The effect of variable X to Y is 14.4%, while 85.6% is influenced by other factors such as work environment, work discipline, work motivation, and work atmosphere. It is recommended for the management of Daima Hotel Padang to foster the cohesiveness of employees in working and in communicating in order to achieve good performance.Kata kunci : Komunikasi Interpersonal, Kinerja

Abstract

This study aimed to describe students perceptions about the quality of service at Kantin Dede Universitas Negeri Padang,analyzed by five indicators. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The population of this research are students who visit the Kantin Dede Universitas Negeri Padang totaling 7250 people. The sampling technique is non-probability sampling, by using incidental sampling. The number of samples in this research amounted to 99 people. Data was collected using a questionnaire with Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that: 1) reliability are categorized quite amounting to 49.49%, 2) responsiveness are in good category that is equal to 39.39%, 3) assurance that are in enough category amounting to 53.54%, 4) empathy that are in the category enough that is equal to 49.49%, 5) physical evidence are in good category that is 44.44%.Keywords: Perception, Quality of Service
