Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi kemampuan pemecahan masalah ditinjau dari karakteristik siswa dalam model Problem Based Learning. Anthony Gregorc, dalam DePorter & Hernacki, membagi siswa ke dalam 4 tipe karakteristik cara berpikir antara lain sekuensial konkret, sekuensial abstrak, acak konkret, dan acak abstrak. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 8 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Semarang, yang dipilih dari masing-masing tipe 2 subjek penelitian secara purposive sample. Subjek dalam penelitian ini dipilih dengan mempertimbangkan penjelasan guru mengenai kemampuan siswa mengemukakan pendapat atau jalan pikiran secara lisan. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket karakteristik cara berpikir siswa, tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, dan wawancara. Analisis data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tahap-tahap yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dengan karakteristik cara berpikir tipe sekuensial abstrak lebih tinggi daripada siswa dengan karakteristik cara berpikir tipe sekuensial konkret, acak konkret, dan acak abstrak

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the thoroughness of VII grade students who taught by the Selective Problem Solving (SPS) model and to know the description of students' mathematical problem solving ability based on Polya's stages on SPS learning model. Data collection method used the method of participant observation, tests, interviews, and documentation.The method used in this study is a mixed methods with sequential explanatory design where the first stage of research used quantitative methods, and the second stage used qualitative methods. The subjects of this research are six students from VII D grade of SMPN 41 Semarang consist of: two students from top group, two students from middle group, and two students from lacking group in mathematical problem solving ability test. The results showed that: (1) mathematics learning in VII grade with SPS models can achieve learning completeness; (2) the students from top group were able to solve the problem through Polya's stages except looking back stage; (3) the students of middle group were able to understand the problem well, but have not been able to carry out thoroughly stage of planning, implementing problem­solving, and looking back; (4) the students from less group have not been able to solve the problem through the Polya's stage which includes understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and looking back.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pencapaian ketuntasan klasikal kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas X SMA dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition dan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas X SMA berdasarkan kelompok atas, sedang, dan bawah dalam pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition. Jenis penelitian ini adalah mixed methods. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi, tes dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-6 SMA Negeri 9 Semarang. Dipilih 6 siswa untuk dilakukan wawancara kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang terdiri dari 2 siswa pada masing-masing kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dengan pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition mencapai ketuntasan klasikal 2) siswa kelompok atas mampu memahami masalah, mampu merencanakan penyelesaian, mampu melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian dan mampu melihat kembali hasil serta proses 3) siswa kelompok sedang hanya kurang mampu memahami masalah 4) siswa kelompok bawah kurang mampu memahami masalah dan kurang mampu melihat kembali hasil dan proses. Abstract The aim of the research is to determine the achievement of the classical completeness problem solving ability class X in Senior High School using Auditory Intellectually Repetition learning model and to describe the problem-solving skills class X in Senior High School based on the higher student group, the middle student groups and the lower student group in the learning Auditory Intellectually Repetition. This type of research is a mixed method. Data collection methods used were documentation, testing, and interviews.The subjects were students of class X-6 Senior High School 9 Semarang. The sixs selected students do the interviews troubleshooting capabilities consisting of two students in each group. The results showed that: 1) the problem solving ability of students with learning Auditory Intellectually Repetition reach the classical completeness 2) the higher student group able to understand the problem, able to plan completion, able to carry out the settlement plan and were able to look over the results and process 3) the middle student groups are less capable of understanding the problem 4) and the lower student groups are less able to understand the problems and less able to look back results and processes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is (1) to find out the achievement of ability problem solving learners through learning model PBL with the assistance LKPD; (2) to know the ability problem solving learners through learning model PBL with the assistance LKPD than by the application of learning model PjBL. (3) to find out the influence of IQ toward the ability of problem solving learners through PBL model with the assistance LKPD; (4) to find out disposition mathematical influence on ability toward problem solving learners through PBL model with the assistance LKPD. This research uses quantitative methods and supported by quasi-experimental designs. The subject of this research is students SMPN 41 Semarang grade VII .The data on this research using documentation , the disposition mathematical and tests the ability of solving problems . The end of the results of data , where analyzed by test the average , two test in common an average of , linear regression test and test it simple linear regression double . The research results show that the ability of the solution of a problem learners use the model of learning PBL with the assistance LKPD reached thoroughness and more effective than the application of PjBL kind of classroom . There is a positive influence significantly between IQ and disposition mathematically of the ability of problem solving learners through learning model PBL with the assistance LKPD. Disposition mathematically significantly most influential of the ability of problem solving learners through the application of learning learning model PBL with the assistance LKPD to the matter social arithmetic compared with IQ .

Abstract

The aims of this study were to know student’s mathematical communication ability reach minimum criteria of mastery learning, know teacher’s and student’s activity, and describe student’s mathematical communication ability viewed from learning styles. The learning methode used in this study was mix mehod. The population were ninth grader of students from MTsS Hidayatul Athfal Pekalongan and obtained the sample was class IX D as research class. The methods which have been used to collect data were documentation, questionaire, observation, test, and interview. The result in this study show that (1) student’s mathematical communication with Project Based Learning models reach minimum criteria of mastery learning, (2) teacher’s activity on Project Based Learning from first meeting tol fourth meeting was in very good category, (3) student’s activity on Project Based Learning from first meeting tol fourth meeting was in very good category, (4) subject with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles on the top category were able to fulfill entire mathematical communication indikators. Subject with visual learning styles on the middle category was able to fulfill two indikators. Subject with auditorial and kinesthetic learning styles on the middle category were able to fulfill three indikators. While subject with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles on the bottom category were able to fulfill just one indikator.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy ability is an important ability that possessed by students for understanding and solving problems in daily life. In fact, the student’s mathematical literacy ability is still low. Due to that fact, the purpose of this research are (1) to know the learning mastery of mathematical literacy ability on PjBL model assisted by observation independent task; (2) to know the increasing of mathematical literacy ability on PjBL model assisted by observation independent task; and (3) to know the student’s mathematical literacy ability on PjBL model assisted by observation task. This research uses mixed methods with the concurrent embedded model. The population of this research is students of 8th grade in SMP Negeri 29 Semarang academic year 2017/2018. In addition, the sampling technique in quantitative is random technique and the research subject determination is by using certain consideration. Eventually, the results of the research are (1) the mathematical literacy ability on PjBL model assisted by observation independent task achieves learning mastery; (2) there is an increase in mathematical literacy ability on PjBL model assisted by observation independent task; (3) upper group students have excellent mathematical literacy ability, middle group students have good mathematical literacy ability, and lower group students have less mathematical literacy ability.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the ability to interpret the information in the student's algebraic critical thinking. The type of research is a mixture of quantitative and qualitative. Methods of data collection are tests and interviews. The results of the algebraic critical thinking test referring to Watson-Glaser were analyzed descriptively quantitatively, then 6 subjects were selected each of 2 subjects including the upper, middle, and lower groups for interviews. Triangulation was carried out using 2 different subjects for each level and comparison of test results and interview results. The results of this research indicate the average Algebraic Critical Thinking ability of 31 students was 50.14 and the standard deviation was 9.09, with the lowest average inference ability was 32.64, and the highest average argument was 62.63; the correlation coefficient of algebraic critical thinking skills with indicators of inference, recognition assumptions, deductions, interpretations, evaluations of arguments, each of which amounted to 0.3264, 0.5126, 0.5417, 0.4602, 0.6263; and that the upper group subjects were able to interpret information in the medium category, the middle group subjects were able to interpret information in the medium category, and the lower group subjects were able to interpret the information in the low category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) to find out the mastery learning achievement of students mathematical communication ability in Guided Discovery learning assisted by educational props, (2) know the improvement of mathematical communication ability in Guided Discovery learning supported by educational props (3) describe students mathematical communication ability for each category curiosity in Guided Discovery learning assisted by educational props. This research method is mixed methods with sequential explanatory design. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMP N 33 Semarang in 2019/2020; sampling was done by random sampling selected to be a sample is class VII-F. The research subjects were taken by using a purposive sampling technique. The research subjects consisted of 9 students. Subjects were interviewed based on mathematical communication ability test results. The results showed that (1) students mathematical communication ability in Guided Discovery learning assisted by educational props reached mastery learning, with an average grade reaching 80 and classical completeness exceeding 75%, (2) there was an increase in students' mathematical communication ability in Guided Discovery learning assisted by educational props. Improved mathematical communication ability is medium. (3) Subjects with high curiosity have four indicators of mathematical communication ability; subjects with curiosity have three indicators of mathematical communication ability; subjects with low curiosity only have two indicators of mathematical communication ability.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were to (1) know the achievement of the guidance to learn the skills of mathematical creative thinking students in Treffinger learning, (2) know the increase of students ' mathematical creative thinking skills in Treffinger learning, and (3) describe students' mathematical creative thinking skills for each category of learning motivation in Treffinger learning. This research method is a mixed methods design with sequential explanatory. The population in the study were all students of class VII Junior High School 3 Semarang Year 2019/2020, and sampling was conducted by random sampling selected to be sampled is a class VII-H. The subject of research conducted by purposive sampling technique. Subjects consisted of 6 students. Subjects were interviewed by the results of tests of creative mathematical thinking skills and student motivation. The results showed that (1) students' mathematical creative thinking abilities in Treffinger learning achieve mastery learning. (2) There is an increase in students' mathematical creative thinking skills in Treffinger learning. Increased mathematical creative thinking skills are medium. (3) Subject to high learning motivation can meet the indicators flexibility, fluency, and novelty. Subject to being able to meet the learning motivation fluency and novelty or just fluency. Subjects with low learning motivation are only able to meet one indicator fluency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai penentuan nilai eigen dominan dan tak dominan suatu matriks dengan metode pangkat (power method). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan kajian pustaka. Pada penelitian ini disimpulkan: 1) Nilai eigen dominan suatu matriks A dengan metode pangkat langsung ditentukan dengan langkah-langkah berikut. (i) Menentukan sebarang vektor taknol x0. (ii) Mencari vektor yk = Axk untuk k = 0, dan vektor xk+1 untuk k = 0 yaitu membagi yk dengan λ(k+1), elemen yk dengan nilai mutlak terbesar. (iii) Mencari vektor yk dan xk+1 untuk k dari 1 sampai n hingga λ(k) mendekati λ(k+1). (2) Nilai eigen tak dominan suatu matriks A dengan metode pangkat invers ditentukan dengan mencari nilai eigen dominan A invers dimisalkan λinvers, dan nilai eigen tak dominan A adalah 1 dibagi λinvers. (3) Nilai eigen tak dominan suatu matriks A dengan metode pangkat tergeser ditentukan dengan mencari nilai eigen dominan A yang digeser dimisalkan λshifted dengan nilai geseran s, dan nilai eigen tak dominan A adalah λshifted ditambah s. (4) Nilai eigen dominan suatu matriks A dengan metode pangkat invers tergeser ditentukan dengan mencari nilai eigen dominan A yang diinvers dan digeser dimisalkan λshiftedinvers dengan nilai s dan nilai eigen dominan A adalah 1 dibagi λshiftedinvers ditambah s.
