Abstract

Sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan cakrawala ilmiah dan informasi siswa yang terus berkembang, pemahaman membaca adalah keterampilan yang penting untuk dikembangkan. Pemahaman membaca siswa masih buruk dan belum adanya media pendukung pembelajaran. Siswa tidak sepenuhnya terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran karena pendekatan ceramah dan terbatasnya penggunaan materi pembelajaran (karena keterbatasan waktu dan biaya), sehingga berdampak pada nilai mereka karena mereka gelisah dan tidak memperhatikan di kelas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa baik siswa kelas IV SDN 3 Kawak memahami komik digital sebagai salah satu jenis media. Tiga puluh siswa kelas empat SDN 3 Kawak berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Observasi, wawancara, angket, dan tes (baik sebelum dan sesudah tes) digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data untuk penelitian ini. Kita dapat menyimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima berdasarkan hasil uji-t sampel berpasangan yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan SPSS 25 sig (2-tailed), karena nilai uji-t adalah 0,000 0,05. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa bervariasi secara signifikan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media komik digital.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of using Literacy Tree media on students' reading interest in Indonesian language subjects in grade 4 of SDN 1 Tigajuru Mayong. The method used in this study was a pseudo-experiment with a pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 30 randomly selected 4th grade students. Data were collected through reading interest questionnaire and analyzed using t test to determine the difference in reading interest before and after using Literacy Tree media. The results showed that there was a significant increase in students' reading interest after using the Literacy Tree media. This finding indicates that the Literacy Tree media is effective in increasing students' reading interest in Indonesian language subjects. The implication of this study is the importance of using innovative and interesting learning media to increase students' interest in reading

Abstract

Sex education is important in the world of education because of the rise in cases of sexual harassment due to the lack of understanding of sex education from an early age. The partner school, namely KB Mentari Kudus, has a problem with the behavior of early childhood jokes that lead to pornographic words as well as verbal bullying and actions. In addition, teachers also have not presented digital learning media in the learning process. The mentoring activity for making audio visual based flashcard media as a solution offered to partners has the aim of increasing students' understanding of sex education. Teachers are expected to be able to increase creativity in providing learning media, especially related to sex education. The method used in this service includes 5 stages namely socialization, training, application of technology, mentoring, and sustainability. Community service activities get the result that partners feel able to develop competence in making innovative learning media for early childhood. Sex education is important to be taught to early childhood where 93.75% of partners strongly agree with this statement. Media needs are also approved by partners with 81.25% and are also supported by the importance of innovation in learning. Partners are also very helpful in making audio visual based flashcard media. The implementation carried out by partners and the service team obtained 93.75% results audio visual flashcard media is suitable for sex education material for early childhood.

Abstract

In the current millennial era, cases of sexual violence in Indonesia continue to increase, making it necessary to provide sex education to children. The partner school in this research is the teacher working group (KKG) of Dabin IV SD Nakula Sadewa cluster in Bangsri sub-district, Jepara district, which consists of 9 elementary schools. They face issues with some elementary school children making jokes that lead to pornographic remarks or engaging in verbal and physical bullying. The aim of this community service program (PKM) is to enhance students' understanding of sex education, improve teachers' ability to master sex education material, and increase teachers' ability to innovate in creating learning media based on Capacitive Sensor technology and Arduino Uno. This research method is carried out in 5 stages: socialization, training, technology application, mentoring, and sustainability. As a result, the partners can improve their competence in developing innovative capacitive sensor technology learning media for elementary school children. From the implementation of this community service activity, the use of capacitive sensor technology-based learning media with Arduino Uno successfully addressed the problems faced by the partners.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation and impact of the Nationalism Character Education Strengthening Program in Grade IV at SD Negeri 6 Suwawal, as well as to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its execution. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected via in-depth interviews and questionnaires involving both teachers and students. The study analyzed three core activities: cleaning the school environment, singing and playing national songs, and the implementation of the 5S program (Smile, Greet, Salute, Be Polite, and Show Courtesy). The findings indicate that the school cleaning activity not only creates a clean and conducive learning environment but also fosters a sense of pride and love for the country among students. Moreover, the activity of singing and playing national songs has proven effective in internalizing patriotism, honoring national heroes, and strengthening cultural identity. Meanwhile, the 5S program contributes to developing disciplined, courteous, and mutually respectful behaviors between students and teachers, indirectly reinforcing nationalistic character values. The study underscores that the success of the program largely depends on the active involvement of all stakeholders and the consistent implementation of activities accompanied by periodic evaluations. This research offers significant contributions to the development of character education strategies at the elementary level and advocates for reinforcing national values from an early age to meet the challenges of globalization. Consequently, integrating such activities into the curriculum can serve as an effective model for shaping young citizens with a strong national identity and loyalty to their homeland. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi dan dampak program Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter Nasionalisme di kelas IV SD Negeri 6 Suwawal serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaannya. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan kuesioner yang melibatkan guru serta peserta didik. Adapun kegiatan yang dianalisis meliputi tiga program inti: pembersihan lingkungan sekolah, penyanyian dan pemutaran lagu nasional, serta program 5S (Senyum, Salam, Sapa, Sopan, dan Santun). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas pembersihan lingkungan sekolah tidak hanya menciptakan suasana belajar yang bersih dan kondusif, tetapi juga membangkitkan rasa bangga dan cinta tanah air di kalangan peserta didik. Penyanyian dan pemutaran lagu nasional terbukti efektif dalam menginternalisasi nilai-nilai patriotisme, menghargai jasa para pahlawan, dan memperkuat identitas budaya. Sementara itu, penerapan program 5S membantu membentuk perilaku disiplin, sopan, dan saling menghormati antar siswa serta guru, yang secara tidak langsung mendukung pembentukan karakter nasionalisme. Temuan penelitian juga menekankan bahwa keberhasilan program ini sangat dipengaruhi oleh keterlibatan aktif seluruh pihak dan konsistensi pelaksanaan aktivitas yang disertai evaluasi berkala. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan strategi pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar dan mengusulkan agar nilai-nilai nasionalisme terus diperkuat sejak usia dini untuk menghadapi tantangan globalisasi. Dengan demikian, integrasi kegiatan-kegiatan tersebut dalam kurikulum dapat menjadi model efektif dalam membentuk generasi muda yang memiliki identitas bangsa yang kuat dan loyal terhadap tanah air.

Abstract

The occurrence of child sexual violence in the digital era has witnessed a concerning increase, exemplified by an escalation from 8,730 cases in 2020 to 2021. As of January 2022, there were already 797 recorded cases. This research aims to develop and evaluate an audio-visual-based poster media as an educational tool for children's sexual education, focusing on enhancing understanding to prevent sexual violence. Adopting a Research and Development approach, the study follows the developmental stages outlined by Plomp's model, involving needs analysis, initial design, field trials, and revisions. Data were gathered through literature reviews, interviews with sexual education experts, and field observations to formulate content suitable for children's comprehension. The development method includes designing posters with audio-visual elements such as images, diagrams, and short narratives. Expert validation was conducted to ensure the accuracy and suitability of the poster's content and design. The results of expert validation contributed positively to improvements and refinements in the design. Subsequently, the poster media underwent field trials with children to measure its effectiveness. The results of the field trials indicated an improvement in children's understanding of sexual education materials. Media validation was performed by collecting data from various sources, including feedback from teachers and parents. The results of media validation demonstrated that the audio-visual-based poster is effective in supporting children's understanding of issues related to sexuality. This study contributes to the development of an innovative and relevant sexual education media model for children in the modern era, aiming to mitigate the alarming prevalence of child sexual violence.

Abstract

Character education is one of the most important things that young children should get as 80% of their brain development occurs during that time. A lack of respect and regard for others might be influenced by the absence of character education in early life. One of the key institutions in helping kids develop their character is their school, and instructors there have a significant influence on how kids behave. The purpose of this study is to explain how a daily activity program that uses magic words to develop polite character is implemented. This study employs a case study methodology and a qualitative research strategy. Interviews and observation were the research methods employed in this study. According to the study's findings, kids are becoming more aware of the usage of "magic words" (sorry, please, thank you, and excuse me) and their conduct is changing as a result. After executing the daily activity program that uses magic words in the construction of polite character, children who had not previously understood the value of utilizing them in everyday life to create polite character now understand it better and are able to use it in their daily lives.

Abstract

It's critical to understand the language intelligence of pupils in elementary school, especially within the lower grades, especially the ability to read, write and tell stories. Researchers will take advantage of current technological developments as an effort to minimize this. The technology that researchers use is through utilizing media in the manner of animated videos. This research seeks to evaluate how well animated video content works on the linguistic intelligence of class II students at SD Negeri 2 Bawu.Quantitative research is employed in this investigation. The approach taken in this study uses thePretest posttest methodology for one group in a Pre-Experimental Design. Techniques for analyzing data include normalcy, validity, and reliability tests, and homogeneity tests and T-Test using SPSS. The subjects in this study there were 23 class II students. The study's findings suggest that animated video content can improve linguistic intelligence in class II students at SD Negeri 2 Bawu by obtaining T-test data, namely tcount>ttable 3,192>1.714 using a significant value that of 0.04 this implies that there are differences and improvements by using animated video media on the linguistic aptitude of SD Negeri 2 Bawu’s class II pupils.

Abstract

The background of this study focuses on the low understanding of the Javanese script caused by a monotonous and uninteresting learning approach. This study aims to identify the effectiveness of joyful learning in increasing students’ interest and knowledge of the Javanese script. This study was conducted at SD 1 Padurenan, focusing on fourth-grade students. The method used is a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design, involving 17 students as the sample. Data were collected through written tests, interviews, and documentation. The study showed a significant increase in understanding of Javanese script after implementing joyful learning, with an average pretest score of 50 and a posttest score of 82.49. The N-Gain test yielded an average score of 0.6564, indicating a fairly substantial increase. The conclusion of this study shows that applying the principle of joyful learning effectively improves students’ understanding of Javanese script concepts, with implications for the importance of using innovative approaches to learning. The joyful learning principle was applied in this study through the use of the Teams Games Tournament learning model, Javanese script snakes-and-ladders learning media, and student feedback during the learning process.

Abstract

Penurunan penggunaan bahasa krama di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar akibat dominasi bahasa Indonesia dan teknologi digital menimbulkan kesulitan dalam memahami serta menerapkan unggah-ungguh Jawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji kelayakan media komik digital interaktif Wasis Krama Bareng Jalu berbasis prinsip multimedia Mayer. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), melibatkan ahli media, ahli materi, guru, dan siswa kelas IV di SDN 1 Geneng. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, angket, wawancara, serta validasi ahli, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan persentase skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media komik digital interaktif yang dikembangkan memperoleh kategori “sangat valid” dari ahli media dan ahli materi, serta dinilai “sangat praktis” oleh guru dan siswa. Media ini terbukti menarik, mudah digunakan, serta membantu siswa memahami penggunaan bahasa krama dalam konteks sehari-hari. Rekomendasi penelitian ini adalah pemanfaatan komik digital interaktif sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran unggah-ungguh Bahasa Jawa di sekolah dasar untuk mendukung pelestarian bahasa daerah sekaligus penguatan karakter siswa.
