Abstract

Welfare is one of the main goals in human life, encompassing both material and spiritual aspects. Despite the complexity of modern life, pursuing prosperity involves achieving balance in these areas. This study investigates the contribution of Naqsabandiyah Tariqa's spiritual guidance to the community's welfare in Harjosari II Village, Medan Amplas District. Additionally, it explores the congregation's role in forming strong spiritual and social values. The research method used is a qualitative approach, a case study. Data collection with field observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. Data validity using triangulation and analysis using reduction steps, data display and verification. The research findings show that Naqsabandiyah Tariqa's spiritual guidance significantly enhances the spiritual and social welfare of the community. This order emphasizes the importance of maintaining a balance between one's relationship with Allah (hablu minallah) and with fellow humans (hablu minannas), which is demonstrated through various acts of worship and rituals such as dzikr, khataman, tawasul, and manaqib. Additionally, spiritual guidance promotes inclusive values, social equality, and active participation in social activities, thereby strengthening social ties and fostering a harmonious and supportive environment. Therefore, this study concludes that the spiritual guidance of the Naqsabandiyah Tariqa plays a crucial role in shaping strong spiritual and social values and significantly contributes to the community's welfare in Harjosari II Village.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the tahfidz Al-Qur’an programme as a medium for developing cognitive and character aspects of early childhood at Rumah Qur’an Humairah, Stabat District, Langkat Regency. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving one tahfidz teacher, four parents, and four children aged 4–5 years. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observations, and documentation, and analysed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings reveal patterns of cognitive and character development emerging through the talaqqi method and gradual repetition adapted to the children’s age and learning styles. Support from teachers and parents played a crucial role in maintaining the children’s motivation and consistency in memorisation. The tahfidz programme contributes to fostering religious behaviour, discipline, and focused memory, although challenges such as limited classroom space and novice teacher capacity remain. This study emphasises that integrating tahfidz into early childhood education can serve as a contextual pedagogical approach to nurture spiritual intelligence and character. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan implementasi program tahfidz Al-Qur’an sebagai media pengembangan kognitif dan karakter anak usia dini di TK Rumah Qur’an Humairah, Kecamatan Stabat, Kabupaten Langkat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, melibatkan satu guru tahfidz, empat orang tua, dan empat anak usia 4–5 tahun. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pola pengembangan nilai kognitif dan karakter anak yang tumbuh melalui metode talaqqi dan pengulangan hafalan bertahap sesuai usia dan gaya belajar anak. Dukungan guru dan orang tua menjadi faktor kunci dalam menjaga motivasi dan konsistensi hafalan anak. Program tahfidz di lembaga ini berkontribusi dalam membentuk perilaku religius, disiplin, dan daya ingat yang lebih terarah, meskipun masih terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan ruang dan kapasitas guru pemula. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi tahfidz dalam pendidikan anak usia dini dapat menjadi pendekatan pedagogis kontekstual untuk menumbuhkan kecerdasan spiritual dan karakter anak.

Abstract

This research investigates the role of Pondok Pesantren Hadharatul Islamiyah in Sipispis Subdistrict, Serdang Bedagai Regency from 2009 to 2023, employing a qualitative descriptive method and a historical approach. The study focuses on the pesantren's involvement in education, religious affairs, and socio-community aspects. The findings highlight the pivotal role of the pesantren in religious education, serving as a platform for students to deepen their understanding of Islam. Moreover, the pesantren contributes to molding the community's character by instilling Islamic values. Economically, it empowers the community through skill-building initiatives and fosters economic self-sustainability. Additionally, the pesantren fosters social awareness and tolerance among residents by promoting positive social ethics. This research offers a comprehensive understanding of the pesantren's impact on community development, providing insights that can inform further efforts to enhance its role and promote regional development.

Abstract

The Minangkabau people are one of the dynamic groups of traders in Indonesia. This study follows a Field Study approach, and it aims to reveal the influence of inheritance when it is used as business capital. The study starts by discussing theoretical debates about inheritance in Islam. Then, it is followed by new construction of inheritance within the Minangkabau tribe. The findings of this study indicate that the management of inheritance into business capital in Minangkabau is a new idea that was never carried out in the past. Furthermore, the productive pattern of inheritance is positively correlated with the economic welfare of a family. Finally, the development of businesses built from inheritance can automatically encourage new Muslim entrepreneurs to compete with other entrepreneurs in Indonesia.

Abstract

The museum is an institution that preserves historical objects for conservation and preservation purposes. The Museum Daerah Deli Serdang plays a role in preserving historical relics, one of which is the legacy of the Serdang Sultanate. This study aims to examine how the Museum Daerah Deli Serdang preserves the historical heritage of the Serdang Sultanate. The research employs a qualitative approach and descriptive method by conducting direct observation of the research object and documenting the findings as they occur at the research site. The results obtained from this study indicate that the museum's role can be described as an institution that collects, records, preserves, and conserves cultural heritage objects. The Museum Daerah Deli Serdang role in preserving the legacy of the Serdang Sultanate involves various activities such as acquiring collections, participating in events organized by the Serdang Sultanate family, and organizing public events such as museum learning sessions, collection reviews, and others. To preserve the legacy of the Serdang Sultanate, the Museum undertakes conservation efforts including maintenance, protection, restoration, development, and utilization.

Abstract

This research aims to study the history of the development of the Urung Senembah kingdom in Patumbak from 1620 to 2023, with a focus on the development of the kingdom, history and Islam. This research uses historical research methods in four steps: heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Data was collected from relevant archives, books, articles and reports. This research focuses on the Urung Senembah kingdom, which was founded by the Barus family and had authority over the Deli and Serdang Sultanates. The territory of this kingdom stretches from the Seruai River to thelumai River. This research uses primary and secondary sources, including history books, government reports, and contemporary documents. This study aims to complete research on the Urung Senembah kingdom and its significance in the history of Patumbak.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the problems and formulate solutions related to the implementation of halal certification for MSMEs in Indonesia. Employing a qualitative content analysis approach, ten articles published between 2019 and 2024 were analyzed using a mind map chart to identify key issues and integrated solutions. The findings highlight five major areas of concern: regulations, business actors, support systems, implementation processes, and public outreach. Key challenges include an underdeveloped legal structure, high certification costs, low awareness among business actors, and inadequate infrastructure and support. Proposed solutions involve offering free halal certification, enhancing outreach efforts, digitizing the certification system, strengthening institutional support, and providing technical assistance. This research offers a comprehensive mapping of problems and solutions, an approach not previously undertaken. It underscores the need for synergy between the government, support institutions, and MSMEs to build a more inclusive and effective halal certification ecosystem in Indonesia.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi problematika dan merumuskan solusi dalam pelaksanaan sertifikasi halal bagi pelaku UMKM di Indonesia. Dengan pendekatan analisis konten kualitatif, 10 artikel terpilih dari tahun 2019-2024 dianalisis menggunakan alat pemetaan mind maps chart untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan utama dan solusi yang terintegrasi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan lima aspek problematika utama: regulasi, pelaku usaha, sistem pendukung, implementasi, dan sosialisasi. Tantangan meliputi ketidaksiapan struktur hukum, biaya yang memberatkan, rendahnya kesadaran pelaku usaha, serta keterbatasan infrastruktur dan pendampingan. Solusi yang diusulkan meliputi program sertifikasi halal gratis, peningkatan sosialisasi, digitalisasi sistem, penguatan dukungan kelembagaan, dan pendampingan teknis. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dengan menyajikan pemetaan komprehensif problematika dan solusi tentang pelaksanaan sertifikasi halal bagi pelaku UMKM di Indonesia. Dalam implikasinya diperlukan sinergi antara pemerintah, lembaga pendukung, dan UMKM untuk menciptakan ekosistem sertifikasi halal yang lebih inklusif dan efisien di Indonesia.

Abstract

The vast territory of Indonesia stretches from Sabang to Merauke and from Miangas Island to Rote Island. Apart from its vast land and abundant natural resources, Indonesia also has a very diverse culture, this can be seen from the disparities in race, religion, ethnicity and inter-group (SARA. Using a qualitative approach method, the researcher wrote this scientific paper. The study's findings indicate that individuals have greater faith in every item in the Munggah Muluh procession. The blending of local knowledge with the Islamic faith led to the acculturation of Islam and Javanese culture in the Munggah Muluh tradition, resulting in the creation of several customs rather than just one. Islam and local communities' teachings, like Selamatetan, which was once a local culture before evolving and appearing to become a shared culture since in reality both aspects of Islam and local wisdom meld into one, are examples of this blending.

Abstract

Direktorat Jenderal Imigrasi yang berada dalam naungan Kementerian Hukum dan HAM Republik Indonesia sebagai organisasi publik memiliki kewajiban untuk menyediakan pelayanan publik kepada masyarakat. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan untuk memberikan pelayanan terbaik dalam pembuaan paspor, namun masih ada beberapa pengaduan dari masyarakat serta permasalahan dalam pembuatan paspor. Oleh karena itu penting untuk dilakukannya strategi komunikasi dalam sosialisasi untuk mengetahui cara pembuatan paspor bagi warga negara Indonesia. Adapun permasalahan yang di bahas dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana program dan strategi komunikasi dalam sosialisasi pembuatan paspor yang dapat diterapkan oleh Kantor Imigrasi Kelas 1 Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat program dan strategi dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pembuatan paspor.

Abstract

The concern surrounding halal and haram products is a focal point for legal scholars and historians, sparking ongoing debates within various societal sectors. This study delves into the historical evolution of halal branding within the culinary industry in Medan. Historical methods and qualitative approaches, encompassing literature reviews, observations, interviews, and documentation, were employed to gather data. Findings emphasize the pivotal role of halal branding in ensuring the safety, comfort, and availability of halal products, impacting the well-being of a diverse population. The journey began in 1976 with the introduction of a logo signifying the presence of pork, subsequently gaining momentum in 1988 when researchers from the University of Brawijaya Faculty of Enforcement identified food products suspected of pork content. A year later, the Indonesian Ulema Council (Majelis Ulama Indonesia - MUI) established the Food, Drug, and Cosmetics Assessment Institute (LPPOM) to oversee halal certification. The enactment of the Halal Product Assurance Law (UUJPH) in late 2014 mandated that all products circulating within Indonesia must hold halal certification, coinciding with the establishment of the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) under the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
