Abstract

Bitcoin’s extreme price volatility has long posed challenges for both investors and researchers seeking reliable forecasting models. Conventional financial approaches often fail to capture the highly complex, nonlinear, and fast-moving nature of cryptocurrency markets. To address this gap, this study develops a Bitcoin price prediction model using Random Forest Regression based on on-chain market data. The dataset was obtained from publicly available historical Bitcoin daily trading records spanning more than five years. Key features include opening price, daily high and low ranges, trading volume, and percentage change. The research was carried out in several stages. First, data preprocessing was conducted through normalization, handling of missing values, and feature engineering. Second, model training was performed with Random Forest, including parameter tuning to optimize predictive accuracy. Third, model evaluation employed R² and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) as primary performance indicators. Fourth, visualization was implemented using interactive charts to allow users to observe short-term price fluctuations and long-term market patterns. The system development followed an iterative methodology inspired by the Streamlit Framework, which is an open-source Python library that simplifies building interactive web applications for data science and machine learning. This approach provides flexibility, enabling rapid experimentation and adaptation to evolving market conditions. The results show that the proposed model achieves near-perfect R² values (approaching 1.0) with consistently low MAPE, highlighting its reliability. Beyond predictive performance, the framework is designed to be scalable, supporting future integration with deep learning methods such as LSTM and external macroeconomic indicators, thus offering both practical utility for investors and academic contributions to decentralized finance research.

Abstract

Telkom Regional 1 Sumatra, as a unit of PT. Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk—a state-owned enterprise (SOE)—provides a Community Development Program aimed at improving the welfare of the community. However, the selection process for aid recipients faces obstacles due to the large number of prospective recipients and the variety of their conditions. This study aims to design a Decision Support System (DSS) to determine the recipients of the Community Development Program assistance by combining two methods, namely SAW and SMART. The SAW method is used to calculate the total score of each prospective recipient, while the SMART method serves to determine the weight and ranking of attributes that are considered important in determining the recipients of assistance. With the combination of these two methods, the system can assess and select prospective recipients who best meet the established criteria. This system was developed using a waterfall model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The results of this research are in the form of a DSS prototype that is expected to improve efficiency and accuracy in the process of determining aid recipients, thereby supporting Telkom Regional 1 Sumatra in distributing aid more fairly and effectively.

Abstract

The rapid growth of tourism in North Sumatra has increased the demand for accommodations, particularly villas. The abundance of villa choices often causes difficulties for tourists in selecting the most suitable option according to their preferences. This issue highlights the need for a Decision Support System (DSS) that can assist both customers and providers in making structured and objective decisions. This study aims to design a DSS for villa selection by applying the Weight Product (WP) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methods. The research steps include determining criteria, assigning weights, calculating preference values, and testing the results using both methods. WP recommended Villa Bukit Indah as the best option with a score of 0.2154, while TOPSIS identified Villa Block F–G as the best alternative with a score of 0.5811. Through the aggregation process, the final result showed that Villa Block F–G ranked first among five alternatives with the highest average score of 0.39145. The findings indicate that WP and TOPSIS can be applied complementarily to produce more accurate accommodation recommendations. Therefore, the proposed DSS supports companies in marketing strategies while helping customers choose villas that match their needs and preferences.Keywords - Customer Preference, Decision Support System, TOPSIS, Villa, Weight Product.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and apply the Activity-Based Costing (ABC) method in determining overhead costs in the rice processing industry at MGS Tanjung Selamat Rice Mill. Conventional methods often cause distortions in the allocation of overhead costs, which have an impact on the inaccuracy in the calculation of the cost of goods manufactured (COGS). To overcome this problem, this research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with a system development model based on the Waterfall method. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation studies, which were then analyzed to identify the main production activities and the most influential cost drivers. The results showed that the ABC method was able to improve the accuracy of overhead cost calculation, optimize cost allocation to each production activity, and support more strategic business decision-making. In addition, this research produced a software-based system to facilitate the implementation of the ABC method in the company. With the implementation of ABC, MGS Tanjung Selamat Rice Mill can set a more competitive selling price and identify less efficient activities to be improved.

Abstract

Penyaluran bantuan benih padi merupakan salah satu program pemerintah dalam meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian dan ketahanan pangan. Namun, proses seleksi penerima bantuan sering mengalami kendala karena keterbatasan kuota dan banyaknya kelompok tani yang mengajukan permohonan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sistem pendukung keputusan (SPK) yang dapat membantu menentukan penerima bantuan secara objektif dan tepat sasaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah kombinasi Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) untuk menentukan bobot setiap kriteria, dan Multi Factor Evaluation Process (MFEP) untuk menghitung skor dan peringkat setiap alternatif. Kriteria yang digunakan meliputi terdaftar di simluhtan, mengajukan proposal, produktivitas lahan, luas lahan, dan status penerimaan bantuan sebelumnya. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu memberikan rekomendasi yang sesuai dengan kebijakan penyaluran bantuan. Sistem ini dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basis data MySQL. Implementasi sistem ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan transparansi, efisiensi, dan keadilan dalam proses pemberian bantuan benih padi.

Abstract

School assets play a vital role in supporting learning activities and administrative operations, yet many schools still manage assets manually, leading to data inaccuracy, difficulty in monitoring conditions, and inefficiency in reporting. This study aims to design and implement a School Asset Management Information System (SIMAS) using the Performance-Based Asset Management (PBAM) method to address these challenges. The research applies a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and literature study to identify asset management problems in schools. The system was developed using the Waterfall model, consisting of analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation. PBAM principles were integrated to support planning, maintenance, monitoring, and continuous improvement of asset utilization. The results demonstrate that SIMAS provides structured asset registration, facilitates real-time monitoring, generates performance-based reports, and issues automatic notifications for urgent maintenance. This contributes to improving decision-making, enhancing efficiency in school asset management, and ensuring long-term sustainability of educational resources. The findings highlight that the application of PBAM in the education sector, particularly in schools, provides a novel contribution compared to previous studies that mainly focused on asset recording and depreciation methods

Abstract

Counseling guidance is a place for students to consult in overcoming problems and developing the potential of students. In order for counseling guidance to run effectively, scheduling is needed. The preparation of counseling guidance schedules takes a long time so that it causes increasingly long queues. In this study, the method used in research is Research and Development and the system development method uses Rapid Application Development. A website-based scheduling system that uses the Shortest Job First algorithm was developed to shorten long queues. Average waiting time can be reduced by finding the shortest job first, which solves the smallest average waiting time for various operations. By implementing Shortest Job First it can produce a good counseling schedule with a smaller waiting time thus reducing the level of long queues. The accuracy rate of this system is 98.18% accurate.

Abstract

Penyakit adalah kegiatan abnormal dimana tubuh ataupun pikiran mengalami ketidaknyamanan atau disfungsi terhadap orang yang dipengaruhinya. Banyaknya data penyakit pada sebuah instansi yaitu Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Mandailing Natal berdasarkan wilayah yang luas menyebabkan instansi tersebut sulit untuk memonitoring daerah penyebaran penyakit. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sebuah sistem informasi monitoring yang dapat memantau dan memberikan informasi mengenai penyebaran penyakit di daerah Mandailing Natal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sistem informasi monitoring penyebaran penyakit berbasis web yang dilengkapi dengan pemetaan lokasi penyebaran penyakit. Adanya sistem informasi monitoring penyebaran penyakit ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi mengenai penyebaran penyakit sehingga dinas kesehatan dapat melaksanakan sosialisasi dan penanganan serta evaluasi terhadap penyakit tersebut.

Abstract

Cloud computing is a new era of the modern world. It is an emerging paradigm and has become one of the hottest research to date, because of its ability to reduce the costs associated with computing. The main issues associated with cloud computing are data privacy, security and authenticity. The aim of the researcher is to find out how the model of cloud data storage and data security of cloud computing systems. In this research, researchers propose an efficient method for providing data storage. Security in cloud computing uses a new public key algorithm based on a linear block cipher. This algorithm has been proven by previous studies such as Data encryption, E-commerce, Digital signature. In research, researchers apply the same algorithm, namely cloud computing. In this algorithm several important security services are included such as key generation, encryption and decryption provided in the cloud computing system. The scope of this research is to solve security problems in cloud provisioning and cloud consumers by using new cryptographic methods.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an expert system in diagnosing diseases in potato plants using the Case Based Reasoning (CBR) method approach combined with the K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) algorithm. The system is designed to help farmers identify the type of disease based on the symptoms that appear, as well as provide relevant solutions to increase crop productivity. In previous research, the CBR method showed a limited accuracy rate of 74% because it only relied on one algorithm. Through the application of two methods in data analysis, namely CBR and K-NN, this study succeeded in increasing the diagnosis accuracy to be higher than the previous approach of 80%. The system is implemented in the form of a web-based application that is easily accessible by farmers. The results show that the integration of these two methods provides more optimal, effective, and accurate results in detecting potato plant diseases based on symptom data. The findings are expected to contribute significantly to the development of agricultural technology, especially in improving the harvest success of potato farmers in Indonesia.
