Abstract

Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara yang rawan terhadap bencana erupsi gunungapi. Oleh karena itu, upaya transformasi pengetahuan tentang erupsi gunungapi perlu diberikan kepada siswa dengan tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis tingkat pengetahuan dan miskonsepsi siswa terhadap materi bencana erupsi gunungapi di SMP Muhammadiyah Srumbung, Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMA Muhammadiyah Srumbung, sedangkan teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah sensus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dan pedoman wawancara yang telah divalidasi dengan Teknik expert judgment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat pengetahuan siswa terhadap materi bencana erupsi gunungapi pada materi definisi bencana 99,12%, jenis-jenis bencana 98,87%, dampak bencana 91,57% dan penanggulangan bencana 93,6%. Tingkat miskonsepsi materi kebencanaan gunung api SMP Muhammadiyah Srumbung berada di bawah 2,5%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan tidak terdapat miskonsepsi siswa SMP Muhammadiyah Srumbung terhadap materi bencana erupsi gunungapi. Hal tersebut terjadi karena kebijakan sekolah yang telah mengintegrasikan materi kebencanaan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

An earthquake is a type of natural disaster which occurs due to the movement of tectonic plates. The time and location of an earthquake cannot be predicted, so people living in earthquake-prone areas should have good knowledge of earthquake disasters as capital in anticipating earthquake disasters. Various efforts need to be made to increase knowledge about earthquake disasters, one of which is through education. In the education sector, efforts to increase knowledge about earthquake disasters can be done through the integration of game-based learning in schools. One of the schools that is vulnerable to earthquakes is SMP Negeri 1 Polanharjo, Klaten Regency. This school is one of the schools that was affected by the earthquake disaster in Klaten Regency in 2006. The aim of this activity is to (1) increase knowledge about earthquake disasters through the implementation of game-based learning media (disaster SOS and puzzles) for social studies teachers and students at SMP Negeri 1 Polanharjo and (2) increase the capacity of teachers and students in dealing with earthquake disasters. The targets of this activity are social studies teachers and OSIS administrators at SMP Negeri 1 Polanharjo. The implementation method is through socialization and practice in using game-based learning media, namely disaster SOS and puzzles. The results of the activity showed that (1) the implementation of game-based learning media (disaster SOS and puzzles) can increase the motivation of teachers and students in studying earthquake disasters and (2) this media can increase the capacity of teachers and students regarding earthquake disasters.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 saat ini tak hanya mengkhawatirkan di negara Indonesia bahkan seluruh dunia merasakannya. Banyak masyara-kat yang merasa takut dan khawatir akan terjangkitnya virus ini pada dirinya atau orang terdekatnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan un-tuk mencegah penularan dan mencegah terjangkitnya tubuh dari virus covid-19. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini yaitu untuk menjaga pola hidup sehat pada masa Pandemi Covid-19 di desa Banjarsari RT 01/ RW 09 Tawangmangu, Karanganyar. Penelitian dilakukan karena kurang sadarnya masyarakat desa Banjarsari RT 01/ RW 09 Tawangmangu, Karanganyar tentang pentingnya menjaga pola hidup sehat, memakai masker dan saling menjaga jarak pada masa Pandemi seperti sekarang ini. Masyaraat desa menganggap banha virus Covid-19 tidak akan menyerang di lingkungan mereka yang termasuk lingkungan yang dingin, sehingga mereka tidak menggunakan masker dan tidak menjaga jarak dalam kerumunan. Metode yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian ini berupa pem-berdayaan secara langsung kepada masyarakat dan data yang didapat berupa hasil wawancara kepada narasumber, kemudian dilakukannya penyuluhan untuk mengubah pandangan masyarakat agar selalu menjaga pola hidup sehat dengan selalu memakai masker dan cuci tangan setelah beraktivitas di luar. Hasil yang ditunjukan setelah dilakukannya penyuluhan yaitu masyarakat lebih patuh akan protokol kesehatan Covid-19 dengan memakai masker, saling menjaga jarak dan mencuci tangan setelah aktivitas dari luar. Selalu menjaga pola hidup sehat dan menjaga protokol kesehatan saat masa Pandemi Covid-19 menjadi sangat penting dimasyarakat karena dengan kebiasaan tersebut dapat mempekecil kemungkinan penyebaran virus Covid-19 di ling-kungan masyarakat.

Abstract

Potensi yang dimiliki oleh siswa akan menjadi bakat apabila diarahkan dengan tepat. Salah satu cara untuk mengasah bakat tersebut yaitu melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Pengabdian ini dilakukan MI Muhammadiyah Sabrang Lor, Trucuk, Klaten. Pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan observasi partisipasi penuh pada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. MI Muhammadiyah  Sabrang Lor, Trucuk, Klaten mempunyai lima program ekstrakurikuler yang berjalan dengan baik. Tiap ekstrakurikuler didampingi oleh guru pendamping atau instruktur yang profesional. Tujuannya agar bakat dan kreativitas siswa dapat dimunculkan secara optimal. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dilaksanakan setiap hari setelah jam belajar sekolah selesai. Siswa terlihat tampak antusias dan bersemangat setiap mengikuti ekstrakurikuler. Hal itu karena, siswa diberikan kebebasan untuk memilih ekstrakurikuler yang diminati. Luaran yang dicapai tidak hanya predikat juara dan partisipasi dalam kompetisi-kompetisi yang diikuti tetapi juga keberhasilan dalam menggali bakat, kreativitas serta membangun mental untuk membentuk pribadi siswa yang baik.

Abstract

Based on initial observations, it was found that there was a problem in the form of low discipline and student learning outcomes, and reward and punishment had not been implemented yet. The study was conducted with the aim of improving discipline and student learning outcomes in mathematics, focusing on the subject of time for 1st grade students at SD Muahmamdiyah 22 Sruni Surakarta, with a total of 18 students. The activities were carried out in 2 cycles, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data acquisition techniques included observation and written tests. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. It was found that discipline improved overall, with a percentage of 46.7% in the pre-cycle, increasing to 71.1% in cycle 1, and further increasing to 87.8% in cycle 2. Meanwhile, student learning outcomes showed an improvement, with a mastery rate of 33.3% and an average score of 58.9 in the pre-cycle, increasing to 55.6% and an average score of 65 in cycle 1, and further increasing to 83.3% with an average score of 86.7 in cycle 2. The data obtained indicate that the implementation of reward and punishment can improve both discipline and student learning outcomes in mathematics.

Abstract

There are 18 students at SD N 1 Jatiwarno whose reading, and writing skills are still relatively low. The ability to read and write is a basic ability that must be mastered by students when entering school and has a relationship with good character values in students. The government program currently being developed is a campus teaching program in which all Indonesian students can participate. Students have an important role in developing education in Indonesia to achieve national education goals. The part of campus students who teach can be identified through research using a step-by-step method starting from activity planning, the implementation phase, and corrective and follow-up activities. Based on this research, the results obtained are teaching participation of campus students in improving literacy skills and character values through learning in class, providing additional hours, assisting in using the AKM class application, getting used to Duha prayer, and making a place to save. Duha prayer activities are implemented at SD N 1 Jatiwarno as a daily routine to increase the value of religious character in students.

Abstract

Adopsi teknologi dalam pembelajaran menjadi suatu keharusan bagi guru, tidak terkecuali guru geografi. Adopsi teknologi dapat berupa pemanfaatan sumber belajar digital dalam pembelajaran geografi. Pemanfaatan sumber belajar digital oleh guru geografi sudah dilakukan oleh beberapa peneliti dan hasilnya tidak begitu menggembirakan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat adopsi teknologi dalam pembelajaran SIG oleh guru geografi di Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Kabupaten Sukoharjo dipilih karena wilayah ini berbatasan langsung dengan wilayah urban Surakarta dengan fasilitas pendukung digital yang baik. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru geografi di Kabupaten Sukoharjo yang berjumlah 33 guru. Seluruh populasi dijadikan sebagai sampel. Pengukuran tingkat adopsi teknologi informasi oleh guru geografi di Kabupaten Sukoharjo dilakukan dengan menggunakan model The unified  theory of acceptance and use of  technology  (UTAUT). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistic deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sumber belajar digital yang paling banyak digunakan oleh guru geografi dalam pembelajaran SIG adalah YouTube, disusul dengan sumber peta dan Google Earth. Tingkat adopsi teknologi pada pembelajaran SIG oleh guru geografi di Kabupaten Sukoharjo termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan skor rata-rata 64,5. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa perlu adanya pelatihan mengenai pemanfaatan teknologi dan sumber belajar digital untuk pembelajaran SIG bagi guru geografi di Kabupaten Sukoharjo.

Abstract

The learning media are needed to support teaching and learning activities during the Covid 19 pandemic. The pandemic condition caused limited teaching and learning activities in class. The situation made the learning activity becomes an online class. Geography is one of the subjects that is affected by the situation. Geography learning activities need direct explanation and practice. So the students can understand easily. The learning media using WebGIS technology can offer a solution to overcome these limitations. WebGIS can be operated online with interactive menus. Both teachers and students can do together in the learning activities. This study purposed to introduce WebGIS to support geography subjects in online classes. The development of GIS technology is currently moving very fast and is leading to a web form. Geography Education teachers need to know and know what GIS is to stay abreast of technological developments. In collaboration with the Geography MGMP in Sukoharjo Regency, this activity was carried out to introduce WebGIS to teachers and upgrade the GIS material.

Abstract

Natural disaster that have occurred in several regions in Indonesia in recent years have increased public attention to disasters. In addition in disaster caused by endogenous energy, disaster in Indonesia are also caused by exogenous forces such as disasters related to hydrometeorological conditions, including tornadoes, drought, floods, and fires. Munggur Villaged in Andong District Boyolali Regency has the potential for drought, tornado, and fire disasters. However, information regarding these disasters is minimal received, so it is necessary to increase understanding of the concept of disaster and disaster mitigation to support disaster risk reduction. The aim of this activity was to increase the understanding about the concept of disaster and disaster mitigation. The method of implementation was by conducting disaster and mitigation socialization to residents of Munggur Village. Based on the result of this community service implementation, it was found that there was an increase in understanding of the concept of disaster and disaster mitigation. However, Further socialization or training is needed to strengthen the understanding and skills of the residents.

Abstract

An earthquake is a type of natural disaster that cannot be predicted in terms of time or scale. Klaten Regency is one of the earthquake-prone areas of Indonesia. The occurrence of earthquakes in Klaten Regency has indeed surprised many parties. Implementing disaster mitigation measures is crucial in areas prone to disasters. Disaster mitigation education has been implemented in schools through intracurricular and extracurricular activities. This study aims to analyze (1) the student's understanding of earthquakes at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in Klaten Regency and (2) the impact of student attributes on an understanding of earthquakes. Students' Students comprise age and gender. This is a quantitative study with a correlational research approach. The study was 173 students from junior high school. Techniques for collecting data include questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques employ descriptive statistics; furthermore, the tests used to answer the hypothesis are the Mann-Whitney test, kruskall Wallis, and Spearman rank. The Mann-Whitney test. According to the study results, (1) students' students' of earthquakes was 22% high, 75% moderate, and 3% low, and (2) The test results pointed out that student characteristics had no significant impact on students' student's knowledge.Keywords: Earthquake; Disaster; Students; Understanding of Disaster
