Abstract

ABSTRAK Pedaq Api merupakan ritual adat pascakelahiran yang diwariskan turun-temurun oleh masyarakat Sasak, mengandung makna spiritual, religius, dan nilai-nilai sosial seperti kerja sama, penghargaan terhadap leluhur, dan simbol budaya. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara kepada tokoh adat dan warga setempat. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi ini merupakan representasi dari solidaritas mekanik sebagaimana dijelaskan oleh Durkheim, yang terlihat melalui kesamaan nilai dalam komunitas, keterlibatan kolektif masyarakat, penggunaan simbol-simbol adat, serta adanya kontrol sosial untuk menjaga keteraturan. Tradisi Pedaq Api berfungsi sebagai alat pengikat sosial, sarana pelestarian nilai budaya, serta mekanisme mempertahankan identitas kolektif masyarakat di tengah arus modernisasi. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya menjaga tradisi lokal sebagai fondasi dalam memperkuat ikatan sosial masyarakat tradisional.

Abstract

Misconceptions at the elementary school level represent a serious cognitive barrier in establishing students' scientific foundations. This article aims to map the science concept areas most prone to misconceptions and analyze the effectiveness of remediation strategies based on scientific publications from 2015–2024. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 10 core articles screened using the Publish or Perish application. The analysis reveals that misconceptions predominantly occur in abstract topics such as force and motion, electrical circuits, and photosynthesis. The primary causes include students' intuitive preconceptions, conventional teaching methods, and ambiguous textbook illustrations. These findings confirm that remediation strategies based on the Conceptual Change Model (CCM) and Predict-Observe-Explain (POE), integrated with immersive technologies (AR, virtual simulations, and gamification), are proven most effective in correcting students' cognitive structures. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of routinely using diagnostic instruments to detect misconceptions at an early stage.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential competencies in 21st-century science education, yet Indonesian students' achievements in scientific literacy and reasoning remain relatively low. This study aims to map and analyze trends in effective science learning strategies to enhance students' critical thinking skills through a systematic literature review. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 10 national and international scientific articles published between 2014 and 2023 across Google Scholar, SINTA, and ERIC databases. The review results indicate that student-centered learning strategies consistently have a positive impact on critical reasoning. The findings are classified into four main groups: (1) discovery and inquiry strategies; (2) problem-based and project-based learning (PBL & PjBL); (3) information and communication technology (ICT) integration; and (4) contextual and cooperative approaches. The synergy between active learning models and interactive digital media support is proven to be the key factor in transforming students' evaluation and analysis skills.
