Abstract

Desa Melintang is one of the villages in East Kalimantan Province located in the Kota Bangun area, Muara Wis District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province. The area is a water or lake region, so Desa Melintang is situated above the water. With such regional conditions, Melintang village does not have land that can be used for gardening or farming due to the absence of land or soil. This affects the vegetable needs, which cannot be produced by the people of Melintang Village themselves, so they have to be brought in from outside the region to. The long distance traveled to obtain vegetables makes it necessary for the community to spend more time dan money if they want to get vegetables. Based on the aforementioned issues, the PKM team conducted community service activities by providing hydroponic plant training to the PKK mothers' group in Melintang Village, while also donating hydroponic equipment dan supplies to the community. The results of the activity are expected to be beneficial in increasing the community's knowledge about hydroponic plants. In addition, by producing their own vegetables, the quality or freshness of the vegetables can be better guaranteed, dan the community can also save on expenses, which is expected to impact food fulfillment dan improve the welfare of the community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh pentingnya peran sumber daya manusia dan kepemimpinan dalam meningkatkan efektivitas kerja dan pencapaian tujuan organisasi, khususnya dalam sektor publik. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dengan metode survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 83 responden yang merupakan pegawai negeri sipil di instansi tersebut. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel jenuh. Data dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 27, dengan uji validitas, reliabilitas, asumsi klasik, dan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai dengan nilai koefisien regresi sebesar 0,84 dan nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,455. Artinya, 45,5% kinerja pegawai dapat dijelaskan oleh gaya kepemimpinan. Temuan ini memperkuat pentingnya penerapan gaya kepemimpinan yang adaptif dan komunikatif dalam meningkatkan motivasi, kerja sama, dan produktivitas pegawai. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi kepada instansi pemerintah untuk terus mengembangkan kemampuan kepemimpinan sebagai strategi peningkatan kinerja organisasi secara menyeluruh. Abstract

This research examines the influence of training and human resource development on employee performance at theSamarinda City Manpower Service. This study was motivated by a lack of awareness of training and development of human resources for work in the field, so that the training received by the workforce was less than optimal. Data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to 60 employees using a simple random sampling method and analyzed using multiple linear regression via SPSS version 29. The results of the study showed that training had a significant negative effect on employee performance due to inappropriate methods, irrelevant material, and incompetent instructors. Meanwhile, human resource development has a significant positive effect because it is carried out in a structured manner through competency-based division of tasks, advanced training and ongoing coaching. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and organizational culture on employee performance at the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) of East Kalimantan Province. The background of this research is based on the importance of the ESDM Department's role in the sustainable management of natural resources, as well as the challenges faced in improving employee performance. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method (Questionnaire). Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 68 employees of the ESDM Department of East Kalimantan Province. Data analysis techniques include validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, and multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that transformational leadership and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.162 indicates that 16.2% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by these two variables. This research concludes that improving transformational leadership and organizational culture can enhance employee performance at the ESDM Department of East Kalimantan Province. This research has limitations in the use of quantitative methods only, a sample limited to one agency, and limited independent variables. Suggestions for further research include using a mixed-methods approach (quantitative and qualitative), expanding the sample to other agencies, and adding other relevant independent variables.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the observed gap between the performance targets set by management and the actual achievements of several employees at PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Mahakam. This discrepancy is suspected to be influenced by varying levels of work motivation among employees. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the effect of work motivation on employee performance. A quantitative approach was applied using a survey method and simple linear regression analysis. The sample consisted of 50 active employees selected using a total sampling technique. The primary instrument used was a closed-ended questionnaire based on a four-point Likert scale. The validity and reliability tests confirmed that all questionnaire items were valid and reliable. The results of the regression analysis show that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05) and a regression coefficient of 0.927. This implies that an increase in work motivation tends to be followed by an improvement in employee performance. These findings support Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory and Herzberg’s two-factor theory, which emphasize the importance of both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in enhancing job performance. Therefore, it is recommended that management strengthen motivational factors to sustainably improve employee productivity and effectiveness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh etos kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai dengan budaya kerja sebagai variabel mediasi pada Biro Administrasi Pimpinan Kantor Gubernur Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui kuesioner. Sampel sebanyak 69 responden diambil secara total sampling dari seluruh populasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan SEM-PLS dengan bantuan SmartPLS 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa etos kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai serta budaya kerja. Namun, budaya kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai dan tidak mediasi hubungan antara etos kerja dan kinerja. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya penguatan etos kerja sebagai faktor utama dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa organisasi perlu fokus pada pembinaan etos kerja secara berkelanjutan, serta mengevaluasi penerapan budaya kerja agar lebih berperan dalam mendukung kinerja pegawai.   This study aims to analyze the effect of work ethic on employee performance with work culture as a mediating variable at the Chief Administrative Bureau of the East Kalimantan Provincial Governor's Office. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through a questionnaire. A sample of 69 respondents was taken by total sampling from the entire population. Data analysis was carried out using SEM-PLS with the help of SmartPLS 3. The results showed that work ethic has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and work culture. However, work culture has no significant effect on employee performance and does not mediate the relationship between work ethic and performance. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening work ethic as a major factor in improving employee performance. The implication of this study shows that organizations need to focus on fostering work ethic on an ongoing basis, as well as evaluating the implementation of work culture so that it plays a greater role in supporting employee performance

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh budaya organisasi dan beban kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT PLN Indonesia Power Unit Bisnis Pembangkitan (UBP) Mahakam. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 106 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan regresi linier berganda, uji t, uji F, serta uji determinasi menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 25. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa budaya organisasi dan beban kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Budaya organisasi yang kuat terbukti mampu mendorong kinerja individu melalui penciptaan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif, sementara beban kerja yang seimbang turut memperkuat produktivitas. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya manajemen budaya dan pengelolaan beban kerja dalam meningkatkan efektivitas organisasi, khususnya dalam industri strategis seperti pembangkitan tenaga listrik   This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture and workload on employee performance at PT PLN Indonesia Power Generation Business Unit (UBP) Mahakam. The study was conducted on 106 respondents who were selected through a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaire instruments and analyzed by multiple linear regression, t-test, F test, and determination test using SPSS software version 25. The test results show that organizational culture and workload have a positive and significant effect on employee performance both partially and simultaneously. A strong organizational culture has been proven to drive individual performance through the creation of a conducive work environment, while a balanced workload also strengthens productivity. These findings confirm the importance of cultural management and workload management in improving organizational effectiveness, particularly in strategic industries such as power generation

Abstract

enelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh teknologi informasi dan kompetensi terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Badan Kepegawaian Daerah (BKD) Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survei terhadap seluruh populasi sebanyak 95 pegawai, melalui penyebaran kuesioner berbasis Google Form. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, asumsi klasik, regresi linier berganda, serta uji hipotesis parsial dan simultan menggunakan SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa baik teknologi informasi maupun kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Namun, kompetensi memiliki pengaruh yang lebih dominan dibandingkan teknologi informasi. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,223 menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel menjelaskan 22,3% variasi kinerja pegawai. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan kompetensi aparatur serta optimalisasi sistem informasi untuk mendukung peningkatan kinerja dalam birokrasi publik.   This study aims to analyze the influence of information technology and competence on employee performance at the Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) of East Kalimantan Province. The research used a quantitative approach with a survey method involving the entire population of 95 employees, using a Google Form-based questionnaire. Data were analyzed through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and both partial and simultaneous hypothesis testing using SPSS version 25. The results show that both information technology and competence have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. However, competence has a more dominant influence than information technology. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.223 indicates that these two variables explain 22.3% of the variance in employee performance. These findings emphasize the importance of developing employee competencies and optimizing information systems to support improved performance in public sector bureaucracy

Abstract

                Employee productivity is a crucial element in determining the operational success of a company, which is influenced by internal factors such as technical skills and working conditions. The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent to which technical skills contribute to increasing employee productivity at PT Sumber Bara Abadi, considering the role of the work environment as a mediating variable. The research approach is quantitative, using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique. The population in this study includes all 70 permanent employees of the company, where the entire population was used as the sample through saturated sampling due to its limited size. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire designed to assess aspects of technical skills, work environment, and employee productivity levels. The analysis results indicate that technical skills have a positive and significant influence on productivity, and technical skills also have a positive and significant influence on the work environment. Additionally, the work environment is also proven to have a positive and significant influence on employee productivity. Other findings confirm that technical skills influence employee productivity through the work environment. Based on these results, it is recommended that companies develop technical skills training programs integrated with strategies for creating a conducive work environment to promote optimal and sustainable productivity.
