Abstract

In today's digital age, the need for easily accessible information is essential. One of the efforts that can be made is to make a geomapping map of the layout of small micro businesses in Menenga village, with this information board, the village community and outside parties can easily find the existence of small micro businesses in order to help increase the visibility of small micro businesses, increase the attractiveness of the village, and encourage local economic growth. The approach method used in this activity is Participatory Action Research. This method emphasizes the active involvement of the community, village officials, and small and medium-sized micro business actors in every stage of activities, starting from problem identification, planning, implementation, to evaluation of results. This approach was chosen because it is in accordance with the main goal of the program, which is to empower village communities in the use of geomapping to support the promotion of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in a sustainable manner. By directly involving the community, it is hoped that they can understand, master, and continue the management of micro and small and medium-sized business data independently in the future. Through this activity, a database of small and small micro businesses has been produced, digital geomapping maps, and banners of small micro businesses that are installed on village information boards. These results make it easier for the public and visitors to access information, as well as being an effective means of promotion for small and medium-sized micro business actors.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the marketing strategy of educational services at MAN 3 Jombang in facing competition between educational institutions. The focus of the study includes the characteristics of educational services, market segmentation, implementation of marketing mix (product, price, place, promotion), as well as challenges and innovations carried out to increase the attractiveness of the institution. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with in-depth interview techniques with leaders, teachers, public relations staff, students, prospective students, alumni, and guardians of students. The results of the study show that MAN 3 Jombang integrates general and religious curriculum, with market segmentation that includes students from outside Jombang and promotion through social media and alumni. The marketing mix strategy is implemented comprehensively, with the main products being educational services, scholarship programs, and the Center for Achievement and Innovation (PPI). The challenges faced include limited cost information, digital promotion competition, and teacher time for external promotion. Innovation is carried out through digitalization of services, student involvement in promotional content, and utilization of alumni as promotional agents. Abstract

The PKK of Nglele Village plays an important role in supporting family development and welfare through various work programs. In implementing these programs, PKK cadres are required to be able to manage administration, compile activity reports, and create accountability reports (LPJ) independently. The main problem faced by PKK cadres of Nglele Village is limited skills in operating Microsoft Word and Excel, so that the creation of accountability reports (LPJ) and administrative documents still depends on external parties. The Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) training program for PKK cadres of Nglele Village aims to: (1) Equip PKK cadres with basic Microsoft Word skills for document and report preparation. (2) Train PKK cadres in the use of Microsoft Excel for data processing and administrative recording. (3) Encourage PKK cadres' independence in compiling accountability reports (LPJ) without relying on external parties. Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of PKK cadres' work in carrying out organizational administration. The method applied in this training is a Hands-on Training-based Workshop combined with a Service Learning (SL) approach. Service Learning is a learning approach that integrates theory with real-world practice in the community. The conclusion of this community service activity is that it can increase the independence of PKK cadres, eliminating their reliance on external parties for administrative document management. This activity supports the capacity building of PKK cadres and empowers the Nglele Village community in the digital era, resulting in more structured, efficient, and professional work.

Abstract

This community service was carried out to address water and environmental management issues in Kromong Village, Ngusikan District, Jombang Regency, which often faces flooding during the rainy season and drought in the dry season. This issue is exacerbated by the low level of public awareness regarding organic waste management and degradation of soil quality. The main focus of this service is to introduce biopori as a solution to increase water absorption, reduce puddles, and improve soil quality through organic waste management. The aim of this activity is to provide understanding to the community about the importance of the biopori technique and how its application can help overcome environmental problems faced by villages. The approach used is the service learning (SL) method, where the community is actively involved in socialization and training on the practice of making biopores. This research strategy includes several steps, such as problem identification, outreach, training, and monitoring the program's impact on the environment. The results of the service show success in increasing rainwater absorption, reducing the risk of flooding, and improving soil fertility through the decomposition of organic waste. In addition, there has been an increase in public awareness regarding the importance of sustainable environmental management. This program has also succeeded in reducing the amount of organic waste produced by households, while providing long-term benefits for groundwater security in the village. With positive results, it is hoped that this program can be replicated in other regions that face similar issues.

Abstract

The main issue addressed in this study is the low learning outcomes of Class VIII H students at SMPN 3 Jombang in the 2024/2025 academic year in the subject of Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam/PAI), primarily due to the dominance of lecture-based, teacher-centered methods that hinder active student participation in the learning process. This study aims to improve learning outcomes through the implementation of a constructivist teaching method based on problem-based learning (PBL). The approach used is Classroom Action Research (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) conducted in three stages: pre-test, implementation of the constructivist method, and post-test, involving 32 students as subjects. The results show a significant increase in learning mastery, from 69% of students achieving scores above the Minimum Mastery Criteria (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal/KKM) with an average score of 87.18 in the pre-test, to 97% in the post-test with an average score of 92.37. This improvement reflects the effectiveness of the constructivist method in fostering understanding and active student engagement in PAI learning. The study implies that integrating a constructivist, problem-based learning model into PAI instructional strategies can enhance student learning outcomes and promote more meaningful and contextual learning experiences.

Abstract

Kegitan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningaktkan soft skill karang taruna desa Sumbersari Jombang dengan memberikan pelatihan desain grafis dengan mengunakan aplikasi Canva. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah PLA (Participatory Learning and Action), metode pemberdayaan masyarakat yang terdiri dari proses belajar tentang suatu topik dan selanjutnya diikuti dengan aksi riil yang relevan dengan materi pemberdayaan. Pendekatan yang dijalankan dalam program ini adalah sosialisasi, praktik, dan pendampingan sampai peserta pelatihan dapat mengenal tentang aplikasi Canva, bagaimana cara memanfaatkan atau menggunakan aplikasi tersebut. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada 7 Oktober 2022 dengan melibatkan 20 anggota Karang Taruna sebagai mitra. Dengan mendapat dukungan dari pemerintah desa Sumbersari Jombang, kegiatan pengambdian ini dijalankan di balai desa Sumbersari Jombang. Kegiatan dapat berjalan dengan baik dilihat dari antusias mitra dalam mengikuti tahapan-tahapan pelatihan, praktek, diskusi dan pemberian motivasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan kemampuan softskill peserta dalam memanfaatkan teknologi, salah satunya penggunaan aplikasi Canva. Anggota karang taruna secara kreatif dapat membuat desain promosi usaha logo dan kemasan yang mudah dan menarik sebagai bahan konten dalam digital marketing. Berdasar pada hasil angket yang telah disebarkan kepada 20 peserta menunjukkan hasil 95% dari 20 mitra peserta setuju bahwa setelah mengikuti dan menlakukan praktik dari program yang telah diikuti, peserta sudah dapat membuat desain grafis melalui aplikasi Canva

Abstract

This research designs and builds a WhatsApp chatbot as a provider of community service information in Kromong Village, Ngusikan District with the aim of increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of community services. The tool used is WhatsApp Bot using the Service Learning (SL) method/training and a direct approach to residents, the village can provide information that residents need in real-time, answer questions automatically within 24 hours, and residents don't need to go to the village hall. just to ask about the requirements for managing, making, and so on. From the tests carried out using a questionnaire, pretest and posttest results were obtained, namely with a percentage of 13.33% (very poor) and 88.33% (very good). This shows that respondents strongly agree that this chatbot is capable of being an effective and efficient provider of public service information

Abstract

Madiopuro Village, located in Sumobito District, Jombang Regency, is an area where most residents work in the agricultural sector. However, the utilization of home yards remains limited and is often left unused or only partially utilized, causing households to rely heavily on markets to meet their daily food needs. This condition increases household vulnerability to food price fluctuations and supply limitations. This community service program aims to improve household food self-sufficiency through the utilization of limited land by implementing an aquaponic system integrated with the cultivation of family medicinal plants (TOGA), fast-growing vegetables, and fruit crops. The implementation method used a direct approach through hands-on field practices by utilizing residents’ home yards as demonstration sites. Activities included the construction of a simple aquaponic system, cultivation of medicinal plants, vegetables, and fruits, as well as assistance in plant and fish maintenance. The results showed an increase in community knowledge and awareness regarding the productive use of home yards as an alternative food source. The aquaponic system successfully produced catfish as a source of animal protein and fresh vegetables in a sustainable manner. This program has a positive impact on enhancing household food self-sufficiency, reducing household expenditures, and promoting environmentally friendly agricultural practices. With continuous assistance, this program has the potential to be developed as a sustainable household-scale agricultural model to improve community welfare.
