Abstract

This study aims to analyze the denotative and connotative meanings found in the lyrics of the song “Mangu” by Fourtwnty using a qualitative semantic approach. The song was selected due to its rich lyrical structure, filled with symbolism, emotional depth, and spiritual reflection, making it a compelling subject for linguistic analysis. The data was obtained through the documentation of the song’s lyrics and then analyzed by identifying, classifying, and interpreting words or phrases that potentially carry dual meanings. The findings indicate that the lyrics of “Mangu” contain denotative meanings that refer to the literal definitions of words, as well as connotative meanings that imply emotional, symbolic, and spiritual messages. Several phrases, such as “arah kiblat” (direction of prayer), “cara berdoa” (way of praying), and “kumadah” (I offer), carry deep connotations reflecting differences in life perspectives and spiritual values within a relationship. The analysis reveals that the conflict in the song is not merely romantic but also existential, highlighting a separation driven by differing beliefs and life interpretations. This study emphasizes the importance of understanding connotative meaning in interpreting song lyrics as a form of complex language expression and contributes to the enrichment of semantic studies in popular literary works.

Abstract

This research was designed to find the effect of Contextual Teaching and Learning on student’s writing recount text at grade ten of SMA Negeri 6 Pematangsiantar. To answer the problems the researchers used theories such as Berns & Erickson (2001), Harmer (2004), Knapp and Watkins (2005). The study employed a quantitative research design. As an experimental investigation, its goal was to determine whether the implemented method had any impact on the subject. In this research, in collecting the data the researchers had to do three steps: pre-test, treatment, post-test. The researchers discovered that CTL has a significant impact on students' ability to write recount texts. This is evident from the post-test scores of the experimental class, where the writer applied the CTL treatment. After calculating the data, the researchers found the mean of experimental class was 76,76 and the mean of control class was 61,83. The calculation of t-test, the total t- obtained value of the research is 4.63 with the degree of freedom (df) was (30+30)-2=58 and level of significant 2.5% (0.025), so the value table of t-table was 2.00. It shows that t- obtained value is higher than t-table (4.63> 2.00). Therefore, the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the Null Hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It means that Contextual Teaching and Learning was more significant than Grammar Translation Method in writing recount text at grade ten of SMA Negeri 6 Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimization of seaweed seedling inventory management using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to enhance cost efficiency for farmers in Tarakan City. The research employs a quantitative descriptive approach, integrating EOQ with forecasting techniques (Moving Average and Exponential Smoothing) to predict raw material needs accurately. Data were processed using Microsoft Excel and POM-QM for Windows to ensure precision. The results indicate that EOQ yields an optimal order quantity of 878 ropes per order, with a frequency of 6 orders per year, a reorder point of 16 ropes, and a total inventory cost (TIC) of IDR 842,681. Compared to traditional methods (TIC IDR 2,132,083), EOQ reduces costs by 60.5%. Forecasting analysis reveals that Exponential Smoothing (MAPE 19.67%) outperforms Moving Average (MAPE 22.5%) in accuracy. These findings highlight EOQ’s effectiveness in minimizing waste, preventing stockouts, and improving productivity. The study provides practical insights for coastal small-scale farmers and policymakers in the marine sector.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted the learning process, requiring teachers to adapt in order to fulfill their roles as educators and mentors. Learning during the pandemic differs greatly from pre-pandemic methods, and teachers must choose appropriate strategies to ensure effective teaching continues. This study aims to explore the strategies employed by Islamic Education (PAI) teachers to enhance PAI learning during the pandemic at SDN 1 Nunggal Rejo, and to examine how the learning process was conducted during this period. This qualitative research was conducted at SDN 1 Nunggal Rejo using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were collected, processed, and analyzed to draw conclusions. The findings indicate that teachers implemented several strategic approaches, including goal-oriented instruction, structured procedures, and clearly defined learning activities. Teachers acted as facilitators, and although discipline and time management were challenging, learning continued through a combination of online and limited face-to-face methods. Abstract

A movie is one of oral literature that is a major literary goal for connoisseur of literature. One of the films that became an object of this study was the Merindu Cahaya De Amstel movie that had a storied life on a continent in Europe. Merindu cahaya de amstel movie reveals many of the problems that often occur in daily life, but it has become interesting to study because of the sincerity values it contains. The study hopes that learning about the value of the sincerity held by Merindu cahaya de amstel will be a study and reference to a millennium child knowing the value of the sincerity that is then a role model in life, thus shaping children's character, attitudes, and behavior today. In the value of sincerity that will be discussed in this study rests upon the value of sincerity with two categorically as: 1) grace in the worship of god almighty and 2) grace in the pursuit of god's reward. The research he obtained was: That is 1) showing people's attitude is alive with the only will of god whatever he does all acts of kindness, 2) showing that people is obedient to a command that god has ordained, and 3) showing that they are conscious of all their good deeds and their charitable acts It was attitude that showed the value of sincerity in merindu cahaya DE amstel movie. Abstract

This article examines the implementation of Ulul Ilmi character-based parenting in female dormitories as a strategy to enhance students’ mental health and educational attainment. The Ulul Ilmi concept, which integrates scientific knowledge with Islamic values, is designed to foster positive character development among students, thereby supporting both their psychological well-being and academic success. Employing a qualitative case study approach in the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) dormitory, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation analysis. The findings reveal that Ulul Ilmi character-based parenting creates a supportive environment that strengthens students’ emotional resilience, mental health, and learning motivation, ultimately improving academic achievement. Furthermore, the study highlights the role of spiritual and social reinforcement in shaping constructive peer interactions and promoting holistic self-development. This study contributes to the growing discourse on character education and mental health in higher education by offering an integrative model of parenting in dormitory settings. It demonstrates that embedding Ulul Ilmi values into parenting practices not only enhances students’ well-being but also provides a framework for fostering a healthier, value-driven academic environment. These insights can inform dormitory management policies and character-based education programs in both national and international contexts.

Abstract

Introduction: Dysmenorrhea is a common menstrual pain complaint among adolescent girls affecting physical, psychological, and social activities. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2021, 90% of women worldwide experience dysmenorrhea, and approximately 10–15% suffer from severe cases. One of the biological indicators related to menstrual pain is Mean Platelet Volume (MPV), the average size of platelets in the blood and reflects platelet activity and inflammation. The normal range of MPV is 150.000–400.000 µL, and elevated values may indicate an inflammatory process or acute pain, such as in dysmenorrhea. Objective: To determine the effect of the combination of Sanyinjiao (SP6) acupressure and cinnamon decoction on Mean Platelet Volume (MPV) levels before and after treatment in adolescent girls with dysmenorrhea. Methods: This study used a Pre-Experimental design with a One Group Pre-test and Post-test approach. The sample consisted of 32 adolescent girls with dysmenorrhea, selected using total sampling. The intervention of Sanyinjiao (SP6) acupressure and cinnamon decoction was administered twice daily for five days during menstruation. Results: The mean value of MPV showed a decrease after the intervention, with a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant effect of the combination of Sanyinjiao (SP6) acupressure and cinnamon decoction on reducing MPV levels in adolescents with dysmenorrhea. Conclusions: The combination of SP6 acupressure and cinnamon decoction was proven to be effective in significantly reducing MPV levels in adolescent girls with dysmenorrhea. This therapy may serve as a practical and safe non-pharmacological alternative to alleviate menstrual pain associated with inflammation.

Abstract

Merokok merupakan kebiasaan yang sampai saat ini sulit untuk dihilangkan bagi masyarakat yang perokok. Hal ini karena adanya zat nikotin yang merupakan zat adiktif yang membuat perokok.Tujuan umum untuk mendapatkan informasi secara mendalam, mengkaji dan menganalisis mengenai Strategi Promosi Kesehatan Berdasarkan Ottawa Charter Dalam Mempertahankan Kawasan Tanpa Rokok Di Desa Bone-bone Kecamatan Baraka Kabupaten Enrekang. Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi kualitatif yang bermaksut mengeksplorasi secara mendalam karena mengambarkan atau melukiskan fakta-fakta atau kejadian ataupun situasi yang tampak dalam Desa Bone-bone Kecamatan Baraka Kabupaten Enrekang Tahun 2022 melalui wawancara mendalam (indepth interview), observasi dan dokumentasi secara terus menerus selama penelitian berlangsung. Dengan adanya Gerakan masyarakat ini warga desa bone-bone berhasil dilakukan dengan masyarakat demi meningkatkan pengetahuan dengan penyuluhan dan pelibatan karang taruna, posyandu dilakukan dalam mempertahankan KTR Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan kebijakan berwawasan Kesehatan, Lingkungan yang mendukung, Reorientasi Pelayanan Kesehatan,Keterampilan Individu, dan Gerakan Masyarakat yang dilakukan diDesa bone-bone dengan berbagai strategi yang dilakukan berhasil membuat masyarakat desa bone-bone menjadi desa KTR. Diharapkan pada peneliti selanjutnya sebaiknya meneliti strategi yang dilakukan dalam mempertahankan KTR apabila berpindah domisili

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pentingnya diksi dalam sebuah karya sastra khususnya puisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan, menganalisis dan menginterpretasikan diksi dalam kumpulan puisi Ikan-ikan kebaikan Terbang dari Sungai ke Langit Lengang Karya Muhammad Asqalani eNeSTe. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berupa Kumpulan puisi (Ikan-ikan kebaikan Terbang dari Sungai ke Langit Lengang) teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik hermeneutik dengan teknik analisis data melalui Langkah-langkah berikut (1) mengklasifikasikan data sesuai masalah penelitian (2) menganalisis data dengan teori diksi yang dikemukakakn oleh teori Keraf (2007). Setelah dilakukan analisis data ditemukan hasil penelitian tentang gaya bahasa diksi dalam Kumpulan puisi karya Muhammad Asqalani eNeSTe bahwa di dalam kumpulan puisi sehimpun puisi ini kami tergambar kualitas puisi tersebut dari diksinya. Unsur diksi sangat berperan penting karena keunggulan puisi terdapat pada pemilihan kata yang unik dan tepat sehingga menarik perhatian pembaca. Pada puisi ini pengarang berhasil menciptakan suatu puisi yang menarik dengan mengunakan pemilihan kata yang sederhana sehingga dapat dipahami oleh pembaca. Adapun rincian data yang diperoleh dari berupa makna konotasi berjumlah secara keseluruhan 15 dan makna konotasi dengan data keseluruhan sebanyak 53 makna.
