Abstract

This research aims to develop Canva-based digital interactive comic media in science learning, especially on the topic of energy sources, in order to improve the learning outcomes of third grade elementary school students. This research was conducted because the learning process was less effective because the teacher only used the lecture method during learning. Lack of application of effective learning media to support the learning process. This development uses the ADDIE development model. Based on the validity of digital interactive comic media, using two material experts and two learning design experts. The media expert test obtained an average value of 0.95 which is classified as high validity, the material expert test obtained an average value of 0.94 which is classified as high validity, and the learning design expert test obtained an average value of 0.90 which is also classified as high validity. The results of the practicality test for practitioners or teachers obtained a score of 92%, which means the percentage level is very good, the student response to 17 class III students obtained a score of 88.78%, which means a good percentage level, the small group test got a score of 90.46%, which means the percentage level is very good, and the individual test got a score of 93.33%, which means the percentage level is very good and practical to use. The effectiveness test carried out in class III of SD Negeri 1 Ambengan, totaling 17 students, through the resistance t-test obtained a significant value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.001. These results show a significant magnitude smaller than 0.05. Based on these results, it was concluded that Canva-based digital interactive comics were proven to be valid, feasible and effective in improving elementary school students' science learning outcomes.

Abstract

The low student learning achievement is due to the thematic learning process that is not optimal. A valid and practical lesson plan is needed to realize a more meaningful learning process. This study aims to develop a thematic lesson plan with a scientific approach to the Nature Of Science learning model. The type of research used is research and development. The development model used in this research is the 4D development model. The subject of this research is the validity of learning tools in the form of lesson plans. This study's data collection method was to provide validity sheets to 2 experts and give practicality sheets to 5 practitioners. The instruments used were in the form of a validity sheet and a practicality sheet for the lesson plans. This study obtained the Rxy results for the whole item worth 1.00, the r-table with the number N = 5 at the 5% significance level was 0.878, and the practicality test results of the learning tools obtained an average score of 3.67. This research concludes that the lesson plans developed are declared valid and meet practicality requirements. This research's implication is that lesson plans that have been tested for their validity and practicality can be implemented in the learning process.

Abstract

Low science learning outcomes are one of the problems in this study. This study aimed to analyze the effect of a guided inquiry learning model assisted by audio-visual media on fourth-grade elementary school students' science learning outcomes. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research design with a post-test only control group design. This study's population amounted to 182 students, while the sampling in this study used a random sampling technique. In this study, the data collection method used the test method, and the research instrument used the selected objective test. Methods and data analysis techniques through descriptive statistical tests, prerequisite tests, and t-test. This study's results indicate that the results of the t-test with a 5% significant level and with dk = 42 obtained tcount> ttable (4.212> 2.018), which means that H0 is rejected while H1 is accepted. This study concludes that the guided inquiry learning model assisted by audio-visual media affects fourth-grade elementary school students' science learning outcomes. This research implies that this research can allow teachers to develop teaching skills using innovative learning models and learning media and affect student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The limitations of learning media in the learning process are mainly in the content of social studies with the topic of natural resources in grade IV. This study aims to develop a valid comic-based learning media. The development model used is the ADDIE model which has five stages, namely: analysis, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation. Comic-based learning media products were the subject of this study, then the validity of comic-based learning media was the object of research. The data collection method was conducted using a questionnaire method. In measuring the validity of comic-based learning media, a rating scale instrument is used in the form of a media validity assessment sheet filled in by 1 lecturer as a material expert and 1 lecturer as a media expert and 2 teachers as a practitioner expert. The media validity data obtained were then analyzed using the mean formula to determine the average score of the validity of comic-based learning media. The average score obtained by each expert on the material expert is 4.80, the media expert is 4.79, and the practitioner expert is 4.88, the three average scores obtained belong to the "very good" category. Based on this, the comic-based learning media developed on the topic of natural resources is declared valid and can be used in learning in grade IV elementary schools.

Abstract

The lack of availability of innovative learning media that is able to contain material effectively results in low learning motivation and students' understanding of the material. It takes innovative learning media that can improve the quality of learning and create a more meaningful learning process for students. This development research aims to develop instructional video media based on the powtoon application on the topic of the 6th grade solar system whose validity has been tested. This development research uses the ADDIE model. The subjects in this study were instructional video media based on the powtoon application on the topic of the 6th grade solar system with the validity of the media as objects in the study. The data were collected using a questionnaire method and a rating scale instrument in the form of an assessment sheet given to 2 material experts, 2 media experts, and 2 practitioner experts to determine the validity of the powtoon application-based instructional video media on the topic of the solar system. The percentage of scores obtained was 84% and 88% from material experts, 80% and 86% from media experts, 89% and 87% from good predicate practitioners. So, based on this analysis, the instructional video media based on the powtoon application on the topic of the 6th grade solar system is valid and suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

Sekolah Dasar (SD) di kawasan wisata Lovina, Bali, menghadapi tantangan besar dalam meningkatkan minat belajar Bahasa Inggris pada siswa. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam menerapkan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris dengan metode storytelling untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar bahasa Inggris siswa di SD Gugus 1 Kecamatan Buleleng. Berbantuan media English Cartoon Story yang merupakan rangkaian komik bergambar dengan materi bahasa Inggris menjadi media pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam metode storytelling. Selain mengimplementasikan metode storytelling, pengabdian ini juga bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam teknologi pendidikan dengan pelatihan membuat English Cartoon Story, sehingga guru mampu menghasilkan media pembelajaran bahasa Inggris sendiri. Tahapan dalam pengabdian ini terdiri dari 4 langkah yakni perencanaan dan persiapan, sosialiasi kegiatan pengabdian, pelatihan dan pendampingan, serta evaluasi. Hasil dari PKM ini menunjukkan hasil yang baik karena dapat meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam manajemen kelas bahasa Inggris serta meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam membuat media English Cartoon Story. Hasil yang baik juga ditunjukkan dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Inggris terjadi peningkatakn terhadap motivasi belajar bahasa Inggris siswa.

Abstract

Not all new students are able to understand letters or reading materials effectively. Many first-grade elementary school students still face challenges in learning to read. This study aims to develop a digital comic learning media designed to improve the reading skills of first-grade elementary school students, particularly on the topic of "Forgiveness." The research type is developmental research using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research subjects included material experts, media experts, and educational practitioners. The trial subjects consisted of first-grade students, involving an individual trial with three students and a small group trial with nine students. Data collection methods utilized a rating scale with a questionnaire as the instrument. The data analysis technique employed both quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study showed that the evaluation of the material and media tests using Aiken's V formula yielded a percentage of 98%, categorized as "very good." Additionally, the practitioner test analysis indicated a 100% percentage with a "very good" qualification. The individual trial results showed a 100% score, categorized as "very practical." Based on these findings, it can be concluded that digital comic learning media is feasible to be used in learning to enhance the reading skills of first-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the social learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills on the material of my proud region. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent Post-test only control group design. The population in this study were all students in class totaling 151. The sampling in this study used a simple random sampling technique with the results obtained, namely 10 fifth grade students as the experimental group and 19 other students as the control group. Data collection was carried out using a descriptive test method totaling 10 questions. The data were analyzed using a t-test with the results obtained so that H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. The conclusion from the results of the data analysis in this study is that there is a significant influence of the social learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills on the material of my proud region.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of learning concentration among third-grade elementary students, as identified through the initial results of the Grid Concentration Test, which showed that most students were categorized as "Low" to "Very Low." The purpose of this study was to develop a brain gymnastic video as a medium to enhance students’ learning concentration. The research involved 39 third-grade students and employed a development research method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The development process included expert validation from subject matter experts, instructional design experts, and media experts, as well as individual and small group trials. Validation results indicated that the brain gym video met a very high standard of quality, with scores of 98.33% from both the subject matter and design experts, and 97.5% from the media expert. The effectiveness test, using a paired sample t-test, showed a statistically significant improvement in concentration (t-calculated = 28.303 > t-table = 2.026). These findings indicate that the brain gym video is effective in improving students' learning concentration. The implication of this study is that brain gym videos can serve as an innovative learning medium that effectively enhances students’ focus and attention in primary education settings.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah masih berpusat pada guru, oleh karena itu perlu adanya model pembelajaran yang inovatif yang dapat menumbuhkan keterampilan kolaborasi peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran inquiry training terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi peserta didik kelas IV SD Mutiara pada mata pelajaran IPAS. Penelitian ini termasuk kuasi-eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian post-test only control group design. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 31 peserta didik, terdiri dari 17 peserta didik sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 14 peserta didik sebagai kelas kontrol.Teknik pengumpulan sampel yang digunakan adalah Non-Probability Sampling. Variabel independen adalah model pembelajaran inquiry training, sedangkan variabel dependennya adalah keterampilan kolaborasi peserta didik. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji independent sampel t-test. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh thitung sebesar 9,530 dan ttabel 1,699 Sehingga dapat diketahui bahwa thitung lebih besar dari ttabel 9,530 > 1,699. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikansi model pembelajaran inquiry training terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi peserta didik kelas IV pada mata pelajaran IPAS. Implikasi penelitian ini yakni model pembelajaran inquiry training dapat meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik untuk bekerja sama dalam pembelajaran IPAS.
