Abstract

The transformation of the health sector consists of six pillars, one of which is the transformation of health technology. The electronic medical record is the collection, storage, processing, and access of patient medical record data in hospitals using information technology. The Minister of Health, in Regulation of the Minister of Health number 24 of 2022, requires all health service facilities to maintain electronic medical records. In this study, research was conducted on the process of collecting, storing, processing, and accessing medical data at the ERM in a hospital using a personal computer and an Android tablet. This research uses a qualitative case study method that investigates phenomena in real-life contexts and is examined in a case that is carried out intensively, in depth, in detail, and comprehensively. The independent variable is the process of collecting, storing, processing, and accessing medical record data, and the dependent variable is electronic medical records. Data was collected by observing the patient's medical record recording process and interviewing informants consisting of registrars, doctors, nurses, laboratory staff, hospital IT personnel, and hospital administration; triangulation was then carried out on the data obtained. The results of the study found that the process of collecting medical record data on personal computer media was different from that on Android tablet media, from the method of writing to the results of recording medical records. However, the flow from recording to storage, access, processing, and security of medical record data is not much different In the implementation of electronic medical records, there are advantages and disadvantages to each medium, but it would be better if a combination of the two was carried out. In order to create continuity in the process of recording medical records in electronic media.

Abstract

Midwives are healthcare workers who make the first physical contact with newborns during delivery. They bear significant responsibilities in preventing COVID-19, which can contribute to increased anxiety levels. Many factors are associated with healthcare workers' anxiety, yet studies specifically focusing on predictors of anxiety among midwives remain limited. This analytical study utilized a cross-sectional approach to identify predictors of anxiety among midwives during the COVID-19 pandemic in Nagan Raya District. The study involved a sample of 533 midwives, with data collected via Google Forms. Multivariate analysis was conducted using multiple logistic regression tests with a 95% confidence level. The study found that 43 midwives (81.24%) experienced anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Factors significantly associated with anxiety included age ≥32 years (p-value = 0.006; OR = 1.86; 95% CI: 1.20–2.89), workload (p-value = 0.000; OR = 2.43; 95% CI: 1.53–3.84), independent midwifery practice (p-value = 0.044; OR = 4.44; 95% CI: 1.04–18.95), and acting as the primary birth attendant (p-value = 0.032; OR = 1.61; 95% CI: 1.04–2.49). The most dominant factor associated with anxiety was high workload (p-value = 0.000; OR = 2.35; 95% CI: 1.46–3.79). Midwives with high workloads were 2.35 times more likely to experience anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic compared to those with lower workloads. It is recommended that midwives reduce their workloads and manage their tasks by creating structured work plans. Additionally, midwives should improve their managerial skills to distribute workloads effectively among team members.

Abstract

Generation Z today cannot go a day without gadgets. Over time, Generation Alpha is likely to become similarly preoccupied with gadgets, as they have been influenced by technology since birth and view it as an essential tool for both school and other activities. Excessive gadget use negatively impacts the quantity and quality of sleep. This study employed a cross-sectional design to analyze the relationship between gadget addiction, sleep quality, and academic performance among adolescents in the coastal and mountainous areas of Pidie Regency. The sample consisted of 337 students from Kembang Tanjong High School and 159 students from Tangse High School, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test and linear regression. The results showed no significant differences in the average sleep quality and gadget addiction levels between adolescents in coastal and mountainous regions. However, there was a significant difference in the average academic performance between these two groups. Factors associated with sleep quality included age, male gender, mothers’ lower education level, gadget addiction, and anxiety. Meanwhile, factors influencing academic performance were male gender, gadget addiction, social media motives, ease of gadget access, depression, and anxiety. Adolescents are encouraged to reduce gadget usage, as it adversely affects sleep quality and academic performance. They can replace gadget usage with positive activities such as physical exercise, playing sports, socializing with peers, studying together, and other productive activities.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on TB patients, particularly in terms of treatment and drug monitoring. During the pandemic in 2020, there were 350 cases of TB in Aceh Besar District. This study aimed to assess the compliance of TB patients during the Covid-19 period at the Aceh Besar District Health Center. A cross-sectional study design was employed, and data were collected from 118 TB patients from April to October 2020. The research was conducted in April 2022. Questionnaires were used for data collection, and bivariate and multivariate analyses were performed using the STATA 12 application program. The results of the multivariate analysis revealed that several risk factors, including Covid-19, history of illness, sources of information, age, knowledge, and trips to the health center, were associated with non-compliance in taking OAT medications. Efforts to increase awareness and educate the public about the risk factors of TB should continue, even during the Covid-19 pandemic. Building partnerships with former TB patients who have completed treatment and recovered can also help in promoting adherence to OAT medications among current TB patients.
