Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the One-Day Positive Self-Talk Session in reducing anxiety levels among pregnant women. Anxiety during pregnancy is a common condition that can negatively impact the physical and psychological health of the mother as well as the development of the fetus. This research uses a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. Participants in this study were 20 pregnant women in their second and third trimesters who attended a one-day positive self-talk training session. Anxiety levels were measured using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) before and after the intervention. Data analysis using the paired sample t-test revealed a statistically significant reduction in anxiety levels after attending the training session (p<0.05). The findings of this study indicate that the One-Day Positive Self-Talk Session is effective in reducing anxiety among pregnant women. The implications of this study support the use of brief and practical interventions such as positive self-talk as part of psychological support programs for pregnant women in primary healthcare services and communities.

Abstract

The Sumba Island electricity is divided into two central systems, the Waingapu and Waikabubak. The load growth of the Waikabubak system, which is in the Sumba Jaya area, is predicted to be higher than that of the Waingapu system. The existing power generation systems in this area consist of solar PV system (PLTS) Bilacenge along with vanadium redox battery (VRB), micro hydro power plant (PLTMH) Lokomboro and Umbuwango, the diesel power generation (PLTD) Waikabubak and Waitabula (Baru Laratama). The existing configuration of these systems produces renewable energy penetration below 45%. Hence, this condition shows that renewable energy exploration has yet to be carried out optimally, even though this area has an average potential for solar irradiation and wind speed reaching 5.84 kWh/day and 5.29 m/s, respectively. This research proposes an optimization design for developing the electricity system in the Sumba Jaya area, including Sumba Barat and Sumba Barat Daya Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The proposed design searches for the optimal capacity of the existing system by adding renewable energy power generation in the form of wind turbine generation (PLTB) in Wanokaka with a capacity of 3,000 kW. The modelling was conducted using Hybrid Optimization of Multiple Energy Resources (HOMER) software to assess the feasibility of the proposed system. As a result, the payback period of the proposed system is achieved around four years, with the net present cost (NPC) and cost of energy (COE) lower than the existing system. In addition, the level of CO2 emissions was reduced, with the increased renewable energy penetration rate at around 96.6%.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of media exposure, firm size, and board size on carbon emission disclosure, with environmental performance as a moderating variable. The population comprised 62 mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, observed over five years from 2018 to 2022. This study uses purposive sampling with a sample of 28 companies, and 74 units of analysis were selected. The data were analyzed using SPSS 26 software, employing the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) technique. The results indicate that firm size and board size positively influence carbon emission disclosure, while media exposure does not have a significant effect. Environmental performance strengthens the positive relationship between firm size and carbon emission disclosure but does not moderate the impact of media exposure and board size on carbon emission disclosure.
