Abstract

Artikel ini membahas nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila dan kajian makna yang terdapat dalam cerpen Kompas. Cerpen kompas yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini sebanyak tiga judul yang terdiri atas (1) Hawa Panas ditulis oleh  Silvester Petara Hurit (2022), (2) Khasiat Embun Pohon Putih  Ahda Imran (2022), (3) Bukan Bocah Biasa ditulis oleh Ketut Sugiartha (2022). Analisis data dilakukan dengan tahapan (1) membaca intensif, (2) menandai data yang mengandung Profil Pelajar Pancasila, (3) menganalisis data, dan (4) menarik simpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dari ketiga cerpen tersebut, nilai berkebinekaan global merupakan nilai yang paling banyak dominan dengan jumlah data 15 atau  36,59%.  Selanjutnya, nilai yang paling sedikit tingkat kemunculannya adalah nilai kreatif dengan angka kemunculan 2 atau 4,88%. Tingginya kemunculan nilai berkebinekaan global membuktikan bahwa masyarakat Indonesia sangat tinggi perasaan menghormati keberagaman yang ada di Indonesia. Untuk nilai kreatif yang jumlahnya sedikit ditemukan dalam penelitian ini disebabkan ketiga cerpen tersebut tidak dikategorikan dalam genre fantasi ataupun fiksi ilmiah. Kajian makna yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini sebagian besar cerpen kompas memiliki makna leksikal dan makna gramatikal. Untuk makna referensi dan makna kiasan hanya terdapat di beberapa cerpen. Hal ini menyimpulkan bahwa cerpen Kompas dapat dipahami secara lugas oleh para pembaca umum.

Abstract

The research examines the expressions of rejection used by Instagram users against Rohingya immigrants in Aceh Province. This study is grounded in the growing public apprehension surrounding the influx of Rohingya immigrants, which has been steadily rising over time. The current population of Rohingya immigrants in Indonesia is 1,600, since their initial arrival in Aceh in 2009. This instigates social and economic strife, in which the state of prosperity for the Acehnese population remains incomplete. The data source for this research is 500 comments from Instagram users on five posts on multiple Instagram media profiles. The research data was acquired in December 2023 and subsequently examined using a qualitative descriptive methodology. According to the study's findings, the most common form of rejection was one that used suggestions or other alternatives. It indicates that the individuals in Aceh exhibit a high degree of empathy; however, due to various conditions, they suggest alternative resolutions. Meanwhile, the most minimal form is rejection accompanied by gratitude. These findings demonstrate that Instagram users consider it unnecessary to use courteous language and consider it acceptable to reject Rohingya immigrants. This research also indicated that technological innovations have contributed to the advent of forms of language rejection. We have discovered novel types of rejection discourse, specifically employing symbols or emoticons, utilizing metaphors, and employing hashtags to exert influence over fellow Instagram users.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pola penamaan gampong dalam bahasa Aceh yang terdapat di Kabupaten Aceh Barat, Provinsi Aceh dengan jumlah data sebayak 154 nama gampong. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif karena hasil yang akan diperoleh berupa frekuensi kosakata bahasa Aceh yang muncul dalam penamaan gampong dan penggunaan ejaan. Penganalisisan data dilakukan dengan tahapan 1) menemukan frekuensi kata yang dipakai dalam penamaan gampong, (2) menemukan gabungan huruf vokal dan kosonan yang tidak sesuai dengan EYD edisi V, (3) membuat deskripsi, dan (4) menarik simpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dari 140 nama gampong di Aceh Barat, terdapat 4 kosakata bahasa Aceh yang telah dibakukan dalam KBBI. Gabungan huruf vokal dan konsonan dalam bahasa Aceh terdapat perbedaan dengan bahasa Indonesia. Dalam bahasa Aceh gabungan huruf vokal dan kosonan terkait penamaan gampong meliputi (ee), (eu), (ue), dan (ie) (br), (lh), (dr), dan (kr).

Abstract

 This article discussed the distribution of nasal vowels in the Acehnese language in the Maritime Dictionary of Aceh-Indonesia. The nasal vowels included were /ã/, /ĩ/, /ũ/, /ɛ/̃, /ɔ̃/, /ʌ/̃, and /ɯ̃/. The data source for this research was the Aceh-Indonesia Dictionary, published by the Aceh Provincial Language Center, Ministry of Education and Culture Research and Technology, in 2021. This study employed a phonological approach with the theory of distinctive features. The research detailed the distribution of nasal vowels, including their frequency of occurrence and syllable positions. To achieve high accuracy in terms of nasal vowel occurrence frequency and syllable positions, the data was processed using the Antconc software. The research findings showed that maritime domain nasal vowels in the Acehnese language consisted of noun (n) and verb (v) word classes. There were eight nasal vowels in the noun class and two nasal vowels in the verb class. Among all nasal vowels in the Acehnese language, the vowels /ɛ/, /ɔ̃/, and /ɯ̃/ were not found in the Maritime Dictionary of Aceh-Indonesia. The research results also demonstrated that some nasal vowels were formed due to reduplication and onomatopoeia. In terms of syllable position, Acehnese nasal vowels were only found in the middle and at the end of syllables. Nasal vowels in the initial syllable position of the Acehnese language could not form words related to maritime matters. Consequently, it could be concluded that nasal vowels were not productive in the maritime vocabulary of the Acehnese la-nguage.Artikel ini membahas distribusi vokal nasal bahasa Aceh dalam Kamus Kemaritiman Aceh-Indonesia. Vokal nasal dimaksud meliputi /ã/, /ĩ/, /ũ/, /ɛ/̃, /ɔ̃/, /ʌ/̃, dan /ɯ̃/. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah Kamus Aceh-Indonesia yang diterbitkan oleh Balai Bahasa Provinsi Aceh, Kemdikbudristek, tahun 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan fonologi dengan teori fitur distingtif. Penelitian ini menjabarkan distribusi vokal nasal yang meliputi frekuensi kemunculan vokal nasal dan melihat posisi silabel. Untuk memperoleh hasil keakuratan yang tinggi terkait frekuensi kemunculan vokal nasal dan posisi silabel, data diolah dengan perangkat lunak Antconc. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa vokal nasal bidang kemaritiman dalam bahasa Aceh terdiri atas kelas kata nomina (n) dan verba (v). Terdapat delapan vokal nasal pada kelas nomina dan dua vokal nasal pada kelas verba. Dari semua vokal nasal dalam bahasa Aceh, vokal /ɛ/, /ɔ̃/, dan /ɯ̃/ tidak ditemukan dalam Kamus Kemaritiman Aceh-Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini juga memperlihatkan bahwa beberapa vokal nasal terbentuk akibat reduplikasi dan onomatope. Ditinjau dari posisi silabel, vokal nasal bahasa Aceh hanya berada di tengah silabel dan di akhir silabel. Vokal nasal pada posisi awal silabel bahasa Aceh tidak dapat membentuk kata yang berkaitan dengan kemaritiman. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa vokal nasal tidak produktif dalam perbendaharaan kosakata bahasa Aceh bidang maritim.

Abstract

This study delves into elementary school teachers’ evaluation of children’s books featuring Indonesian national heroes. Despite the significant roles of historical figures picturebooks, research on how teachers incorporate it as useful resources in teaching is limited. In fact, the availability of quality historical fiction picturebooks that portray stories of national heroes in Indonesia is also scarce. Through snowballing technique, 25 teachers voluntarily participated. Through an online questionnaire, they were asked to provide their opinion about three Indonesian hero storybooks, which include (1) Aku Kartini [I am Kartini], (2) Wahidin Soedirohoesodo Sang Dokter Bangsa [Wahidin Soedirohoesodo the Doctor of The Nation], and (3) Menyusuri Tempat Tinggal Srikandi Aceh Cut Nyak Meutia [Strolling the Residence of an Acehnese Heroine Cut Nyak Meutia]. The participants were asked to examine aspects like text complexity, plot, illustration, moral values, and pedagogical strategies for classroom implementation. The data were analyzed qualitatively to describe the teachers’ evaluation on the quality of the books. The findings emphasize the significance of continuous teachers’ professional development, especially in book selection and utilization. The consensus surrounding Book #1 “Aku Kartini” suggests its potential as a valuable resource for teaching national heroes, as well as a model of quality historical fiction picturebook. We argue that adult’s evaluation, particularly teachers, in selecting books for children to read, play a pivotal role both in the children and in the practice of teaching.

Abstract

This paper details the report of the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Training on Inventory, Planning, and Monitoring of Peat Ecosystems in the districts of West Aceh and Nagan Raya held in October 2023. The activities involved lecturers from Universitas Malikussaleh,  AKN Aceh Barat, UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh, and the Sustainable Ecosystem Foundation (YEL), with the aim of formulating the Plan for the Protection and Management of Peat Ecosystems (RPPEG). Through the FGD, a deep understanding of the complexity of peat ecosystem management was achieved, with the identification of challenges such as land use change. The technical training included GIS mapping and peat depth measurements, enhancing the skills of the RPPEG drafting team. With a strong legal foundation and involving multiple stakeholders, this report becomes a strategic basis for the RPPEG in West Aceh and Nagan Raya. These steps encompass the protection of local communities, creating an inspirational model for other regions in managing peat ecosystems in accordance with sustainability principles and environmental regulations.

Abstract

This study describes the intertextual relationship between the characters and plot of the novel "Hati Suhita" by Khilma Anis with several characters and plots in the world of wayang (shadow puppetry). The research employs a qualitative descriptive method in relation to text interpretation. Based on the findings, the forms of intertextuality that appear in the novel "Hati Suhita" are in the description of (1) character naming, (2) character traits, (3) character emotions, and (4) suppositions. The intertextuality contained within also serves as evidence that the author uses other works as references in producing her work. The novel "Hati Suhita" is greatly influenced by stories from wayang characters, allowing readers to internalize cultural values and philosophies through the content of the story. Based on this, the novel "Hati Suhita" is not only an interesting novel in terms of its narrative but also serves as a reflection of culture, social criticism, and a literary work rich in moral and spiritual values. AbstrakPenelitian ini mendeskripsikan hubungan intertekstualitas pada karakter dan alur cerita novel “Hati Suhita” karya Khilma Anis dengan beberapa karakter dan alur cerita dalam dunia pewayangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif  dalam menganalisis hubungannya dengan interpretasi teks. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, bentuk intertekstualitas yang muncul dalam novel ”Hati Suhita” adalah dalam deskripsi (1) bentuk penamaan tokoh, (2) karakter tokoh, (3) perasaan tokoh, dan (4) pengandaian. Intertekstualitas yang terkandung juga menjadi bukti bahwa pengarang dalam memproduksi karya menjadikan karya lain sebagai referensinya. Novel “Hati Suhita” banyak dipengaruhi oleh kisah-kisah dalam tokoh pewayangan sehingga pembaca juga dapat menginternalisasi nilai-nilai budaya dan filosofi yang terkandung melalui isi cerita. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, novel “Hati Suhita” tidak hanya menjadi novel yang menarik dari segi cerita, tetapi juga sebagai refleksi budaya, kritik sosial, dan karya sastra yang kaya akan nilai moral dan spiritual.

Abstract

Since the global COVID-19 pandemic, traditional classrooms have no longer become accessible for everyone. Most teaching and learning process is conducted virtually. The use of interactive and dynamic pedagogy is needed to maintain the quality of learning, especially that enhance argumentation and literacy skills. This research aims to examine whether there are differences in literacy and argumentation skills of Indonesian university students before and after the implementation of Collaborative Reasoning (CR) approach during online learning. A quasi-experimental one-group pretest-and posttest design was employed. A total of 30 students taking Communication and Gender course were involved in this research. We developed a Reading Comprehension Test (RCT) to collect the literacy scores of the students and Cognitively Based Assessment of, for, and as Learning (CBAL) Argumentation Progression to measure argumentation scores. Using a paired samples t-test, the literacy and argumentation scores of the students before participating in CR were compared to their scores after participating in CR. The literacy and argumentation scores were significantly higher after participating in CR. This finding indicates that there is an increase in literacy and argumentation scores over time that was not likely to be due to chance. It is pivotal then for language educators to consider CR in their classrooms.

Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri Samatiga merupakan salah satu dari 11 Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri yang ada di Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Permasalahan yang dihadapi terkait kurangnya pemahaman siswa mengenai kepengurusan jenazah sesuai ajaran Islam. Pemahaman ini dianggap penting sebagai bagian dari fardhu kifayah dalam agama Islam. Kendala logistik, seperti kurangnya sarana dan prasarana, juga menjadi tantangan dalam melaksanakan praktik pemulasan jenazah di sekolah. Alternatif solusinya adalah menyelenggarakan pelatihan pemulasan jenazah di SMK Negeri 1 Samatiga untuk memberikan pengalaman dan pengetahuan yang lebih baik kepada siswa serta meningkatkan fasilitas praktik pemulasan jenazah di sekolah. Pemelajaran ini sebagai tanggung jawab sosial dan kontribusi positif terhadap masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan sosialisasi, diskusi, dan praktek. Pemelajaran dilaksanan di ruang kelas  SMK Negeri 1 Samatiga dengan  tahapan pembukan, pemberian materi dan praktek langsusng tata cara memandikan jenazah, mengkafani jenazah,  menshalatkan jenazah, dan menguburkan jenazah. Pelatihan ini membantu siswa mendapatkan pengalaman secara langsung dan ilmu pengetahuan dari materi pelajaran yang belum tersampaikan secara maksimal)

Abstract

This article discusses Acehnese entries found in the Great Dictionary of the Indonesian Language (KBBI). The objective of this study is to assess the contribution of the Acehnese language in the KBBI based on lexicographic aspects. This study employs a qualitative descriptive research design with lexicographic approach. All data were collected on April 20, 2024, using document analysis techniques. The results of this study conclude that there are 142 entries in the KBBI originating from the Acehnese language. Of these 142 entries, 97 or 68.31% are nouns, 32 or 22.54% are verbs, 1 or 0.70% is adverb, 8 or 5.63% are adjectives, 1 or 0.70% are phrases, and 3 or 2.11% are not classified. Acehnese entries contribute only 0.12% of the 120,551 entries in the KBBI. Acehnese entries in the KBBI consist of basic word entries, compound words, and phrases. Reviewed by form, Acehnese basic entries consist of words and compound words. In terms of meaning, there are 26 Acehnese entries with homonym numbers and 2 entries that are polysemous. This study also found the writing of combinations of vowels and consonants different from the Standard Spelling Guidelines (EYD). Acehnese entries in the KBBI include vowel combinations such as ue, ie, and ui, while consonant combinations include ph, bl, dr, kr, pl. It is hoped that the latest edition of the Standard Spelling Guidelines (EYD) will accommodate vowel and consonant combinations from the Acehnese language.
