Abstract

Interference is defined as the divergence from the norm of language usage that occurs as a result of multilingualism with regard to one or more other languages. Interference occurs when students are studying both the intended language and their first language in the same time. The incapacity of a person who is bilingual to differentiate between the components of the two languages that they are fluent in will lead to a successful error that is known as morphological interference. This occurrence also happens in MAN Kota Palangka Raya. This research was conducted to discover the various sorts of morphological interference created by the students at the eleventh grade of MAN Kota Palangka Raya in their English writing. The qualitative technique was used to analyse the data gathered for this research. The subjects were the students from XI MIPA 1 that consists of 34 students. Abstract

The research aims to find out the process of translating recount texts by using Google Translation Machine. This study integrated a qualitative phenomenological approach of a group of 18 tenth-grade students at MA Miftahul Jannah, Palangka Raya. Online questionnaires via Google Forms and unstructured follow-up interviews were employed. The 15-question questionnaire, featuring both open-ended and closed-ended formats, explored aspects ranging from general usage of resources, such as Google Translation Machine, to specific processes in translating recount texts. The result of this research showed the students' process in translation began with comprehensively reading the text to gain full understanding. Following this initial step, they mentally process their translation before writing it down. In the translating phase, Google Translate was an essential tool. Some students used it directly, while others employed it as a guide for their translations. The focus here was on the accurate selection of words, phrases, and sentences. Once the translation was complete, the majority of the students cross-checked their work against the original text to maintain fidelity. However, a small number skipped this critical revision step. This highlighted the necessity of reinforcing the importance of evaluation and revision stages in the translation process.

Abstract

A teacher must employ an appropriate learning model in order to improve the caliber of the teaching and learning process. One learning model that teachers can employ to improve the caliber of the teaching and learning process is the differentiated learning model with the local wisdom approach. This study used a quasi-experimental methodology in conjunction with a quantitative approach. In this study, the impact of a differentiated learning strategy grounded in local wisdom on eleventh-grade students' English learning results at MAN Kota Palangka Raya is to be investigated. The alternative hypothesis (Ha), which claims that the differentiated learning model based on local wisdom has an impact on students' English achievements, is accepted in light of the findings. At the same time, the null hypothesis (H0), which claims that the differentiated learning approach based on local knowledge has no effect on students' English outcomes, is rejected. This indicates that MAN Kota Palangka Raya students' English learning outcomes can be enhanced by implementing a differentiated learning methodology based on local knowledgePENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERDIFERENSIASI BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR BAHASA INGGRIS SISWA

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of morning routines at Kanggraksan State Elementary School in fostering character values among students, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that morning routine activities are conducted regularly and systematically with a variety of activities such as flag ceremonies, morning prayers, literacy, istighosah, infaq, gymnastics, and cleaning activities that effectively instill religious values, discipline, responsibility, independence, nationalism, and social awareness. The success of this program is supported by the active involvement of teachers, school principals, student participation, parental support, and the role of external parties such as PLP students. However, there are challenges such as the lack of discipline among some students and the tardiness of staff, which require strengthening consistency. Overall, morning routines play a strategic role in shaping positive character traits in students, reflecting behavioral changes toward greater discipline, self-confidence, independence, and concern for the surrounding environment. These findings underscore the importance of morning routines as an integral part of character education in elementary schools ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pelaksanaan kegiatan pembiasaan pagi di SD Negeri Kanggraksan dalam menumbuhkan nilai-nilai karakter peserta didik, serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaannya. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the “honesty tree” media as a means of building honest character in fifth-grade elementary school students. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires and interviews, which were conducted at SDN 3 Kasugengan Lor. The results of the study indicate that most students demonstrate positive attitudes toward the value of honesty, both in academic activities such as completing assignments, in social interactions with peers, and in participating in other school activities. The “honesty tree” medium was deemed effective because it presents the value of honesty in a visual and interactive manner, thereby capturing students' interest and encouraging them to be more open and reflective about their behavior. The role of teachers is highly significant in guiding and setting an example, while support from the school environment further strengthens the process of cultivating honest behavior. Additionally, collaboration between schools, parents, and the community is an important supporting factor in instilling the value of honesty as part of educational culture. With the appropriate use of educational media and a supportive environment, honest character can be consistently shaped and instilled from a young age, providing a strong foundation for children's moral development in the future.

Abstract

Sexual health issues remain unresolved globally and nationally. In Indonesia, unwanted pregnancies among women aged 15-19 years are twice as high (16%) as those aged 20-24 years (8%), and 19% of young people aged 15-24 who have had sexual relations report unwanted pregnancies. Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) is one of the media in addressing this issue, fostering self-motivated learning that empowers adolescents to prevent unintended pregnancies and manage their sexual health. This study aimed to identify media and tools that effectively enhance adolescents' motivation for independent learning about reproductive health. A literature review was conducted using the Publish or Perish database for articles from 2018 to 2023, with keywords such as "self-motivated learning," "reproductive health," and "adolescents." Through the PRISMA method, we found 1,755 articles were screened, and four relevant studies were identified. The findings suggest that game-based learning platforms and M-Health websites offering direct counseling and practical reproductive health guidance are particularly effective in fostering self-motivated learning. In conclusion, both game-based learning and M-Health platforms are key tools in promoting autonomous learning among adolescents about reproductive health.
