Abstract

The Free Tutoring Program for Students from Underprivileged Families aims to enhance access to and quality of education for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The program includes the identification and selection of students, recruitment and training of tutors, development of learning materials and modules, implementation of tutoring sessions, as well as regular monitoring and evaluation. A total of 100 students from various elementary and secondary schools were selected to participate in this program. Tutors, consisting of college students, teachers, and volunteers, received intensive training to ensure the quality of the tutoring provided. The learning materials, based on the national curriculum, were adapted to the students' needs, covering core subjects and additional skills. The results of the program showed significant improvements in students' academic performance, increased motivation to learn, and enhanced self-confidence in their studies. The interactive and personalized tutoring sessions successfully created a conducive learning environment. Regular monitoring and evaluation ensured the program ran effectively and provided useful feedback for improvement. The provision of motivation and rewards also proved effective in maintaining students' enthusiasm for learning. The program demonstrated that through solid collaboration between various parties, including schools, education departments, and the community, as well as structured program implementation, students from underprivileged families can achieve better academic performance and have broader opportunities for their future. Suggestions for the sustainability of this program include expanding the program's scope, enhancing tutor training, developing digital modules, strengthening collaboration with the community, and continuous evaluation. Thus, this program is expected to continue contributing significantly to improving access to and quality of education for students from underprivileged families.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship and skills training for rural communities in Anggeraja District has successfully improved the skills, knowledge, and economic independence of participants. This program focuses on developing technical skills relevant to local potential, such as handicrafts and modern agriculture, as well as providing an understanding of basic entrepreneurship and marketing through digital technology. The results of this training show improvements in product quality, competitiveness, and the application of technology in small businesses. Additionally, the formation of strong social networks among participants has further strengthened community solidarity and provided support for business development. However, challenges related to access to finance and technological infrastructure still remain as barriers that need to be addressed to expand the program’s impact. Therefore, for sustainability and broader impact, increased access to technology, ongoing mentorship, and easier access to finance, as well as collaboration with relevant stakeholders, are needed to support entrepreneurship development in rural areas.

Abstract

Learning guidance is an effective effort in improving academic achievement, especially for children from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. This tutoring program is designed to provide more intensive attention to students' academic, social, and emotional development. The results of its implementation show a significant improvement in understanding of subject matter, increased self-confidence, and higher motivation to learn among the participants. Additionally, the tutoring program has contributed to strengthening the relationship between parents and children and has had a positive impact on the development of students' social skills. Through an empathetic approach and interactive methods, the tutoring program has helped students overcome learning barriers and build a positive attitude towards education. The long-term impact of this program includes increased opportunities for higher education and overall improvement in quality of life. Therefore, tutoring for underprivileged children not only improves their academic performance but also makes a significant contribution to character development and prepares them for the future.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPola hidup sehat dan bersih adalah sebuah proses yang melibatkan perubahan gaya hidup untuk meningkatkan kesehatan fisik dan mental serta menjaga lingkungan di sekitar agar tetap bersih dan sehat. Pelaksanaan edukasi pola  hidup sehat dan bersih (PHBS) ini menggunakan metode partisipatif dengan melalui kegiatan  Jumat bersih dan sehat, yakni kegiatan senam pagi bersama, dilanjutkan membersihkan sanggar bimbingan dan lingkungan tempat tinggal warga masyarakat sekitar sanggar bimbingan sentul Malaysia. Sasaran dari program pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan ini adalah anak-anak stateless di Sanggar Bimbingan Sentul Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Jumlah anak Stateles yang ikut sejumlah 38 anak dari yang terdaftar sebanyak 41..  Kegiatan   Kamis Sehat dan Jumat Bersih merupakan salah satu cara untuk membantu anak Stateles menjaga kesehatan dan kebersihan melalui olahraga senam bersama dan bersih diri (gerakan cuci tangan dan sikat gigi) dan bersih lingkungan melalui program lihat sampah ambil (LISA) ke tempat sampah . Hal ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan antusiasme mereka dalam mengikuti pendampingan. Anak-anak stateles mengikuti semua kegiatan dengan antusias dan riang gembira

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji fenomena alih kode dan campur kode dalam percakapan siswa SMA di aplikasi WhatsApp. Penggunaan bahasa yang fleksibel di kalangan remaja, khususnya dalam media sosial seperti WhatsApp, memunculkan variasi bahasa yang menarik untuk diteliti. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi Jenis dan fungsi alih kode campur kode yang terjadi dari bahasa Indonesia ke bahasa Jerman, serta faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menganalisis sejumlah kalimat yang diketik oleh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri di Sulawesi Selatan. Analisis dilakukan dengan mengacu pada teori Hoffman (1991). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa menggunakan dua jenis alih kode, yaitu intra-sentensial dan inter-sentensial, melakukan campur kode berupa penyisipan kata, frasa, dan klausa bahasa Indonesia ke dalam kalimat berbahasa Jerman, fenemone ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, yaitu keterbatasan kosakata bahasa Jerman, keinginan mempertahankan istilah, serta keinginan untuk menjaga kelancaran komunikasi. Kata Kunci: Alih Kode, Campur Kode, Bahasa Jerman, Grup WhatsApp, Komunikasi Bilingual

Abstract

The translation of chengyu is an essential aspect of Mandarin language studies, as these expressions contain figurative meanings and cultural values that cannot always be interpreted literally. However, users in Indonesia often face difficulties in obtaining accurate chengyu translations, especially when relying on automatic translation tools. This study aims to analyze the comparative results of translating 25 Mandarin chengyu using two AI-based translation tools, Deepseek and Google Translate. Employing a descriptive qualitative analysis method, the data were collected from the translation outputs of both tools and compared based on idiomatic accuracy, cultural contextualization, and translation fluency. The findings indicate that Deepseek tends to produce more natural and accurate translations, as it successfully preserves idiomatic meaning and Mandarin cultural context. In contrast, Google Translate more frequently generates literal and lexical translations, causing several chengyu to deviate from their intended figurative meanings. Of the 25 chengyu analyzed, 17 showed similarities in meaning, while 8 displayed differences, with Deepseek demonstrating superiority in terms of semantic accuracy and word choice. This study concludes that Deepseek is more effective for translating Mandarin chengyu into Indonesian, as it provides translations results that better reflect cultural values ada idiomatic nuances.

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to identify students' learning styles and determine whether there are differences in learning outcomes among the students of class XI 2 at SMA N 4 Enrekang. The research is qualitative and employs a descriptive approach. The primary research instrument is the researcher, and the supporting instruments used are Likert scales and interviews. The study results showed that among the 29 students, 51.73% with a visual learning style achieved learning outcomes in German subjects, with an average grade of 84. Among students with a kinesthetic learning style, 31.03% achieved learning outcomes in German, with an average score of 77.2, and 17.24% of students with an auditory learning style achieved learning outcomes in German, with an average score of 80.8. Of these three categories, the visual learning style, which many students in class XI 2 SMA N 4 Enrekang have, is the most popular.Keywords: Learning style, learning outcome

Abstract

This program explores how collaboration between schools and local communities can meaningfully enhance language learning and improve the overall quality of education at the junior and senior high school levels. Recognizing that language is key to communication and critical thinking, the research draws on foundational theories such as Vygotsky’s social interaction theory, Bandura’s social learning theory, Freire’s critical pedagogy, and the concept of authentic learning by Herrington, Reeves, and Oliver. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research involved students, teachers, school leaders, and community members selected purposively. Data were gathered through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document review, and analyzed thematically. The findings reveal a strong positive impact of school-community collaboration. Around 85% of students showed noticeable improvement in speaking skills, while 92% of educators reported increased student motivation. Community involvement in language activities also rose significantly from 30% to 78%. Moreover, 88% of students felt they gained a deeper understanding of the cultural and social context of the language, and 90% expressed greater confidence in using the language in real-life situations. These results highlight how real-world interactions with the local community can bring language learning to life, making it more relevant and engaging for students. The study recommends that schools continue building meaningful partnerships with communities, supported by consistent programs and government policies. Further research is also encouraged to explore the long-term benefits of such collaborative efforts in education.

Abstract

Abstrak. Pembelajaran digital merupakan sebuah inovasi yang tidak bisa terhindarkan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi digital dikalangan guru SMK Negeri 5 Takalar untuk merancang pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif dan efektif. Tahapan pelaksanaan program ini meliputi persiapan, pelatihan dasar penggunaan kecerdasan buatan dan pendampingan pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis AI. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan 1) kompetensi guru, memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik terkait konsep AI dan penerapannya dalam pembelajaran. Guru mampu untuk menjelaskan manfaat AI dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pengajaran, 2) Produk media pembelajaran berbasis AI, terdapat beberapa produk yang telah dihasilkan antara lain, soal ujian adaptif berbasis Quizizz, presentasi interaktif dengan menggunakan Canva, serta modul pembelajaran dengan integrasi chatboot edukatif. Hal mengindikasikan bahwa AI mampu menjadi inovasi strategis dalam pembelajaran berbasis digital, karena tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru, tetapi juga menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif, adaptid, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang didapatkan meunjukkan bahwa AI berperan sebagai salah satu solusi inovatif dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan di era digital. Keberlanjutan program ini diharapkan mampu memperkuat budaya pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, mendorong guru untuk terus berinovasi, serta memberikan dampak positif yang lebih luas bagi peningkatan mutu pendidikan, tidak hanya di sekolah mitra, tetapi juga pada satuan pendidikan lain di sekitarnya. Kata Kunci : Kecerdasan Buatan, Pembelajaran, Inovasi, Media, Digital

Abstract

Abstract. The aim of this research is to describe students' errors in conjugating modal verbs and the factors that lead to these errors. This research is a descriptive qualitative study. The population of this research consists of 152 students of class XII science. The sample of this research is 32 students of class XII Science 6 of SMAN 12 MAKASSAR who were randomly selected (random sampling) to determine the class, subject of study represents. Data collection was done through tests and questionnaires. Based on the data analyses, a total of 352 conjugation errors were found in the modal verbs. There were 75 errors for can (47%), 50 errors for must (31%), 56 errors for like (35%), 65 errors for may (41%), 60 errors for want (37%) and 44 errors for should (27%). The total number of conjugation errors of modal verbs in simple sentences in German by the students of Class XII Science 6 of SMAN 12 Makassar is 37% and falls in the “high” category. The factors that lead to these errors are lack of understanding of the concepts of modal verbs in German, especially in the area of grammar, vocabulary as well as influence of mother tongue.
