Abstract

This study examines the sharh methodology employed by Ibn al-‘Attar in his work Al-Uddah fi Sharh Umdah fi al-Ahadith al-Ahkam. Using a qualitative method and a library research approach, this research focuses on the socio-historical analysis of Ibn al-‘Attar's intellectual background and the influence of the Shafi’i school on his works. The findings indicate that Ibn al-‘Attar applied the tahlili (analytical) method in his sharh, aimed at facilitating readers, particularly beginners, in understanding legal hadiths. Social factors, especially the Shafi’i culture in Damascus, along with the significant influence of his teacher, Imam Nawawi, greatly shaped Ibn al-‘Attar's approach. The book demonstrates a clear system, providing detailed explanations based on the companions' narrations and their associated rulings. This study contributes significantly to understanding the role of sharh in the development of hadith studies and the influence of the Shafi’i school on hadith interpretation within Islamic scholarly traditions.Abstrak: Kajian ini membahas metodologi syarah yang digunakan oleh Ibn al-‘Attar dalam karyanya Al-Uddah fi Sharh Umdah fi al-Ahadith al-Ahkam. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan kepustakaan, penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis sosio-historis yang melatarbelakangi pemikiran Ibn al-‘Attar serta pengaruh mazhab Syafi’i terhadap karya-karyanya. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa Ibn al-‘Attar menerapkan metode tahlili (analisis) dalam syarahnya, yang ditujukan untuk memudahkan pembaca, terutama pelajar pemula, dalam memahami hadis-hadis hukum. Faktor sosial, terutama budaya Syafi’i di Damaskus, serta pengaruh besar dari gurunya, Imam Nawawi, sangat memengaruhi pendekatan Ibn al-‘Attar. Kitab ini juga menunjukkan sistematika yang jelas, dengan penjelasan yang rinci dan berbasis pada riwayat sahabat serta hukum-hukumnya. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memahami peran syarah dalam perkembangan ilmu hadis dan pengaruh mazhab Syafi’i terhadap interpretasi hadis dalam tradisi keilmuan Islam.

Abstract

Syaikh Muhammad Yasin al-Fadani adalah ulama terkenal dari Nusantara dan Makkah yang menulis kitab al-Arba'una al-Buldaniyyah Arba'una Hadithan . Kitab ini berupa kumpulan juz-juz kecil yang memuat empat puluh hadis dengan tema yang telah ditentukan oleh pengarangnya. Artinya, tidak fokus pada tema-tema tertentu seperti tasawuf, fiqih, akidah dan sebagainya. Penelitian ini fokus pada motivasi al-Fadani dalam menulis kitab hadis serta karakterisitik dalam penulisan kitab yang ditulis oleh al-Fadani. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian penelitian kepustakaan (studi kepustakaan) dan sumber data primer yang di pakai yaitu Kitab al-Arba'una al-Buldaniyyah karya Syaikh Yasin al-Fadani. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwasanya al-Fadani termotivasi untuk menulis kitab yang memuat empat puluh hadis dari para ulama seperti Imam al-Nawawi. Kualitas dari empat puluh hadis tersebut berkisar dari shahih, hasan dan hasan shahih. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa tujuan al-Fadani dalam membuat kitab al-Arba'una al-Buldaniyyah untuk membantu umat Islam menangani masalah agama.

Abstract

Character education is the main foundation in forming a young generation that is not only intellectually intelligent, but also has noble, tolerant, and wise morals amidst the currents of globalization and complex social problems. The Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW has great potential as a source of values ​​and guidelines in building a tolerant and wise character, but its utilization has not been optimal. This study aims to examine and implement relevant hadiths to formulate an effective character education model. Through a literature study, this article discusses the relevance of hadiths in character education, especially the value of honesty (Ash-Shidq) which leads to goodness and heaven, as well as the character of tolerance and compassion (At-Tasamuh Wal Rahmah) which encourages empathy and creates an inclusive environment. In addition, the character of responsibility and trustworthiness, which emphasizes each individual as a leader of what they lead, is an important foundation. The implementation of ideal character education requires a holistic environment, an integrated curriculum, school-family-community collaboration, and the role of teachers as role models. However, challenges such as limited teacher understanding, academic pressure, negative environmental influences, and shifts in socio-cultural values ​​often hinder effective implementation. Therefore, character education must be adaptive, balancing traditional and modern values, and requires collaborative support from various parties to create a generation with integrity, adaptability, and the ability to bring about positive change.

Abstract

Afghanistan is one of the countries with relatively high cases of discrimination against women. This is due to the implementation of the Islamic shari'a system of government imposed by the Taliban based on their own understanding. As well as textual interpretation of some of the postulates of Islamic teachings. So that the existence of the role of women is increasingly cornered. One of the Taliban's policies, which is considered to violate human rights, is the prohibition of higher education for women in Afghanistan. This problem raises the negative stigma of "outsiders" towards Islam, they will consider Islam as a religion that mistreats women. In fact, the Islamic sharia law implemented by the Taliban is different from the essential teachings of Islam. The reason is that there are so many verses of the Qur'an or Hadiths that explain gender equality, one of which is the Hadith narrated by al-Bukhari index number 7310 which explains the attitude of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, related to education for women. In this context, this research using the Library research method aims to provide a review of the case of the prohibition of education for women that occurred in Afghanistan and its relationship with the Hadith narrated by Imam al-Bukhari number 7310. The hadith is one of the arguments that women also have rights in education. To achieve the purpose of this study, it is necessary to analyze Hadith Imam al-Bukhari no. 7310 in order to describe and interpret a case of prohibition of higher education for women. This research concludes that the prohibition of education that has occurred in Afghanistan is a form of patriarchal culture that is considered as an act that has been legitimized by Islamic religious propositions, as well as an understanding that is only limited to the textual propositions of Islamic teachings.
