Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of management functions in curriculum management at the senior secondary school level in Sleman Regencies, namely: (1) curriculum planning; (2) organization and implementation of the curriculum; (3) curriculum evaluation; and (4) curriculum development. The research method used is a qualitative method with inductive descriptive data analysis techniques and source triangulation to check the validity of the data. Data collection was carried out using observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and examining relevant documents. The research results provide an illustration that the application of management functions in curriculum governance will provide good results for the quality of education and learning. The governance is: (1) curriculum planning begins with a needs analysis and efforts to fulfill the needs of students both by the school in the form of an education unit level curriculum, and by teachers in the form of lesson plans/teaching modules; (2) the organization and implementation of the curriculum is carried out by distributing tasks and responsibilities to teachers and school staff, providing clear directions to students and teachers, facilitating learning activities, and creating an environment that is conducive to learning; (3) curriculum evaluation, involving regular monitoring and evaluation to ensure that the curriculum runs as planned; and (4) curriculum development, which is an ongoing process to ensure that the curriculum remains relevant, effective, and in line with student needs and educational developments.

Abstract

Big Data analysis has a role in optimizing the efficiency of teacher management in Vocational High Schools during the educational transformation in the digital era. This research uses a literature review method to analyze relevant concepts, theories, and previous research findings. This research emphasizes vocational schools' challenges, such as the rapid evolution of market-driven skills needs and the lack of qualified vocational teachers. This article proposes a systematic data collection and analysis approach to address these challenges, focusing on volume, velocity, and variability in educational big data. Through a "drivetrain approach," this research outlines a framework for determining purpose, influence, data, and model development, highlighting how this can result in more focused and effective teacher management. The findings show that Big Data analysis can optimize teacher placement based on qualifications, expertise, and school needs, improving teaching effectiveness and overall human resource management efficiency. This article concludes by underscoring the importance of data-based decision-making in the digital era of education.

Abstract

Kurikulum merdeka menekankan pada paradigma baru dan diferensiasi dalam pembelajaran, sehingga setiap siswa berkesempatan untuk belajar sesuai kebutuhannya. Guru perlu penguatan agar mampu mendesain pembelajaran berdeferensiasi dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Kegiatan yang didukung oleh Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta ini memberikan penguatan dan pendampingan bagi guru dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Materi Penguatan yang diberikan adalah pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, literasi, dan coaching dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Pelatihan diberikan pada sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Mlati Kabupaten Sleman. Ada 26 peserta terdiri dari kepala sekolah dan guru, hadir mengikuti kegiatan ini. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan moda luring dan daring. Pada sesi luring/tatap muka, metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, diskusi dan latihan dalam kelompok. Dilanjutkan dengan belajar mandiri, peserta berpartisipasi dalam pengerjaan tugas mandiri melalui google classroom, penguatan kembali secara daring disertai evaluasi terhadap tugas mandiri. Melalui kegiatan ini guru dapat menyesuaikan metode pengajaran untuk memenuhi kebutuhan individual siswa, sehingga proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih efektif dan inklusif. Selain itu guru dapat mengembangkan pola pikir yang menekankan pada adaptabilitas dan penerimaan terhadap perbedaan, melatih guru beradaptasi dengan berbagai gaya belajar dan kemampuan siswa untuk tumbuh dan berkembang sesuai potensinya, serta siap menghadapi berbagai perubahan dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka.

Abstract

The purpose of this qualitative research was to examine the dimensions of instructional leadership of elementary school principals. Drawing upon semi-structured interviews with three teachers and five school principals from Yogyakarta city, this research analyzed significant statements and created codes to illuminate the dimensions that facilitate learning. Five the analysis of the combined data sources, five overarching dimensions emerged for school principals to effectively run school programs. These prioritized dimensions are: (a) Articulating the school’s vision, (b) Designing a comprehensive curriculum, (c) Modifying professional development, (d) Fostering a positive learning climate, and (e) Implementing diverse supervision approaches. The findings underscore the necessity for the development of school principals' supervision skills due to the multifaceted impact of instructional leadership roles, which are interconnected and collectively influence each dimension.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran sangat penting untuk mengoptimalkan kompetensi guru dalam menerapkan metode pengajaran yang inovatif dan efektif, sehingga hasil belajar siswa meningkat. Selain itu penguasaan metode pengajaran interaktif   juga penting bagi guru dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan di era modern. Tujuan pelatihan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam merancang dan melaksanakan pembelajaran yang efektif, inovatif, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Peserta kegiatan adalah guru SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Seyegan dan SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Tempel sebanyak 30 orang. Pelatihan mencakup berbagai aspek seperti pengelolaan kelas, penerapan model pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, serta penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, diskusi kelompok, dan simulasi, yang bertujuan memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada peserta. Hasil pelatihan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap strategi pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan berpusat pada siswa. Guru mampu mengelola kelas dengan baik, menerapkan diferensiasi dalam pembelajaran sesuai profil belajar siswa, serta memanfaatkan teknologi baik sebagai media dalam pembelajaran maupun evaluasi belajar siswa (menggunakan Google Forms, Kahoot, quizizz, wordwall). Dengan adanya pelatihan ini, diharapkan guru-guru mampu menerapkan praktik pembelajaran yang lebih berkualitas dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi manajemen konflik yang diterapkan dalam mengatasi konflik linguistik di SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta dan menganalisis penerapan prinsip-prinsip organisasi pembelajar yang kurang optimal, yang menjadi penyebab timbulnya konflik tersebut.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan observasi non-partisipatif dan wawancara sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan kerangka berpikir gaya manajemen konflik oleh M.A. Rahim yang mencakup lima gaya manajemen konflik yaitu dominating, integrating, compromising, avoiding, dan obliging, serta teori organisasi pembelajar oleh Peter Senge yang mencakup lima disiplin utama yaitu personal mastery, shared vision, mental models, team learning, dan systems thinking. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan SOP berbasis Sistem Manajemen Mutu ISO 9001 yang kaku menghambat fleksibilitas dalam menerapkan strategi manajemen konflik, yang hanya terbatas pada obliging dan domination. Selain itu, penerapan prinsip-prinsip pembelajaran organisasi seperti personal mastery, mental models, dan shared vision di SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta belum optimal, yang menjadi latar belakang timbulnya konflik linguistik. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi praktis bagi sekolah dan organisasi pendidikan lainnya untuk mengoptimalkan penerapan prinsip-prinsip pembelajaran organisasi dan strategi manajemen konflik guna mengurangi konflik linguistik di masa mendatang.

Abstract

Guidance and Counseling Services is a process of providing assistance provided to students continuously in order to achieve independence in self-understanding. Guidance and Counseling Services are an integral part of education in an effort to help students to achieve optimal development, in accordance with their potential. But the fact is, not all services are carried out by BK teachers. This study aims to find out and understand the achievement of Guidance and Counseling Services at SMP N 1 Plered Cirebon District. This research is a qualitative research with case study method. The results showed that the BK teacher only did two of the nine services that should be carried out, namely counseling services for groups and individuals on students who were problematic. This condition is caused by the ratio of the number of students who are not in accordance with the number of BK teachers, so the service is not optimal.

Abstract

The low motivation of students to continue their studies to tertiary institutions is due to the lack of encouragement from close people. BK teachers have a big role in motivating students. Through career guidance, motivated students determine the choice of further study. This study is aimed at finding out the relationship of career guidance services to the further motivation of students studying at SMA Negeri 1 Sindangwangi Majalengka. This research is a quantitative research with correlational methods. The sample in this study were 123 students who were taken randomly from the population of class XII students as many as 186. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between career guidance kites and motivation to continue their studies to college.

Abstract

Parenting is the treatment given to children in order to provide affection, protection, guidance, direction and education in everyday life and how parents behave in their relationships with their children. The task of parental obligations is to educate. In educating adolescents (13-16 years old) parents carry out different parenting patterns. The majority of parents at MTs Cirebon are busy working. This happened based on a case study at MTs Negeri 11 Cirebon. So it is necessary to conduct research with the aim of determining parenting patterns that have an impact on adolescent behavior. The research method uses a qualitative method with an interactive qualitative case study research type. The research subjects numbered 6 people consisting of 3 parents and 3 students (some of whom were in class IX B, IX C, and IX D) at MTs Negeri 11 Cirebon with a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were interviews, observations and documentation. The results obtained, parenting patterns are influenced by the amount of working time, work, educational background and communication built with adolescents. This is what distinguishes parenting patterns in educating adolescents at MTs Negeri 11 Cirebon. So because of the differences in parenting patterns, it can shape the behavior of adolescents at MTs Negeri 11 Cirebon.
