Abstract

This theological study explores the nature and implementation of Jesus’ leadership and management as a foundational paradigm for church ministry. Utilizing a phenomenological methodology within a naturalistic paradigm and grounded in a qualitative research approach, data were gathered through observation, in-depth interviews, and comprehensive literature analysis. The findings reveal a significant disparity in the understanding and application of Jesus’ leadership and management principles within ecclesial contexts. This discrepancy is primarily attributed to four interrelated factors: (1) insufficient comprehension of the foundational concepts of Jesus’ leadership and management, (2) a lack of clarity regarding their intended purpose within ministry,(3) weak strategic alignment with Jesus’ leadership model, and(4) the  absence of Christlike character in the exercise of leadership roles within the church. Drawing upon theological frameworks and empirical insights, the study proposes a contextualized model for integrating the leadership and management of Jesus as a core foundation for effective and faithful church ministry. The research outcomes offer practical implications for local congregations in Indonesia and serve as a reference point for future theological and pastoral scholarship. All reflections and recommendations are ultimately directed toward the glorification of God.

In addition, they have a higher level of productivity above average in the workplace. The Bible is a very important and valuable book for humans, by reading and studying the Bible, humans will benefit from their lives based on the results of the regression equation, the magnitude of the influence between variables X and Y based on the results of the analysis can be obtained Rsqure (xy) = 0.565 or 56.5%, meaning that the contribution of the Bible reading variable as a whole to the growth of the congregation's faith is 56.5% while the remaining 43.5% is influenced by other factors. These other factors were not examined in this study. It can be said that the implementation of Bible reading as a whole has a strong influence on the growth of faith of the GKKD congregation in Yogyakarta. There is a regression line equation that produces Y = 29.154 + 0.762X. It can be interpreted that every time the reading of the Bible as a whole increases by one, the average growth of the congregation's faith increases 0.762. Keywords: Influence, Bible Reading, Faith Growth, GKKD Yogyakarta. ABSTRAKPeranan membaca Alkitab sangat diperlukan karena mampu meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual dan menangkal segala pengaruh buruk yang merusak hubungan yang baik dengan Kristus Yesus. Abstract

Abstract

Love is a fundamental principle in Christian life that should be expressed concretely within the church community. In practice, however, this teaching is not always fully internalized by believers. This study aims to examine the level of implementation of the Apostle Paul’s teaching on mutual love based on Romans 12:9–21 and to identify the most dominant contributing dimension among the congregation of Gereja Bethel Indonesia Sungai Yordan Telogah, Sanggau, West Kalimantan. Employing a quantitative survey method, data were collected from 26 respondents using a validated and reliable questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The results indicate that the implementation of mutual love is categorized as moderate. Regression analysis shows that the dimension of loving without demanding retaliation has the strongest influence, contributing 92.2% to the overall implementation, exceeding the dimension of brotherly love. This finding suggests that forgiveness-oriented love plays a central role in shaping congregational life. The study concludes that sustained pastoral teaching is necessary to deepen the internalization of Paul’s ethical teaching as a consistent spiritual character within the church.

Abstract

This study aims to clarify the role of theological philosophy as a medium for dialogical and interreligious communication in an increasingly pluralistic and globalised world. It seeks to confront epistemological, theological and social barriers that often hinder interfaith dialogue and to propose an inclusive framework grounded in universal ethical values such as love, justice, peace and human dignity. Methodologically, the research adopts a theoretical, descriptive–analytical approach, drawing on key literature in theological philosophy, religious pluralism and interreligious dialogue, with particular attention to the Abrahamic traditions. Through reflective analysis of primary and secondary sources, it identifies major obstacles to interreligious engagement, including divergent epistemological assumptions, historical prejudices, power asymmetries and persistent resistance to pluralism. The findings indicate that a dialogical form of theological philosophy can function as a mediating bridge between religious traditions by emphasising shared ethical commitments without compromising the doctrinal integrity of each faith. Philosophical reflection proves crucial for uncovering common metaphysical and moral ground, for reshaping attitudes to religious “others” and for informing practical strategies, such as dialogical pedagogies, interfaith forums and the constructive use of digital media. The study contributes to current scholarship by integrating theological philosophy more explicitly into both theoretical and practical discussions of interfaith dialogue and by articulating a conceptual framework that links metaphysical reasoning, hermeneutics and social practice. Its implications extend to the promotion of social cohesion in pluralistic societies such as Indonesia, where constitutional pluralism and rich religious diversity coexist with real risks of polarisation.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of the philosophy of worship within Christian religious education in the church, emphasizing its role as a holistic expression of missional service in urban communities. The primary objective is to demonstrate that worship philosophy—when aligned with mission-oriented and pastorally focused teaching—embodies a comprehensive devotion of believers to God. This devotion is expressed through both worship and acts of service that exemplify Christian values, particularly within the complexities of urban life. Drawing on qualitative analysis of various literature sources, the study investigates how mission-oriented pastoral practices have been implemented in urban contexts, where congregational engagement is often hindered by fast-paced lifestyles and spiritual apathy. Despite these challenges, the research finds that many individuals have been effectively encouraged to re-engage with church life through intentional, spiritually grounded approaches that affirm God as the ultimate source of meaning and direction. The findings highlight that contextually sensitive mission services—especially those that are responsive and pastoral in nature—function as redemptive teaching tools. These approaches reawaken inactive congregants and foster renewed commitment to corporate worship. The study concludes that strategic pastoral outreach and mission care in urban settings can effectively revitalize worship participation and empower believers to live faith-filled, victorious lives

Abstract

Amidst the complexities of the era of information disruption and the escalating global humanitarian crisis, mastering critical thinking skills based on social empathy and transformative religious literacy has become a fundamental urgency for students. Emancipatory and dialogical theological teaching has been identified as an effective and creative pedagogical strategy in revitalizing students' awareness to respond to structural injustice. This research is grounded in concerns about the paradox of religion in the Muslim world, where sacred values are often reduced to legitimize patriarchal and authoritarian practices. In contrast to conventional theological studies, which tend to be trapped in normative-dogmatic rigidity, this article evaluates the significance of a paradigm shift toward theoanthropology in stimulating students' cognitive-analytical and psychomotor aspects in social action. The main objective of this study is to formulate an epistemological framework for Asghar Ali Engineer's theoanthropology as a solution to contemporary social crises. Using interpretive qualitative methods with a critical hermeneutics approach, this study analyzes Engineer's discourse, supported by a comprehensive secondary literature review. The results confirm that the theoanthropological paradigm successfully reconstructs the meaning of faith as an ethical praxis that aligns divine transcendence with the mandate of humanity. The findings indicate that critical awareness in textual interpretation is a key determinant of the success of this transformation, while rigid dogmatism has been shown to contribute little to social change. In conclusion, theoanthropology is seen as an urgent integrative framework to be adopted in Islamic education curricula to strengthen advocacy for human rights, gender justice, and harmony within pluralism.
