Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Artificial Intelligence in diagnostic systems and the digital competence of healthcare workers on hospital service efficiency. The research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory design to examine the causal relationships between variables. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to healthcare workers, including doctors, nurses, and administrative staff. The data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics, applying validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that Artificial Intelligence in diagnostic systems has a positive and significant effect on hospital service efficiency. Similarly, the digital competence of healthcare workers also has a positive and significant influence on service efficiency. The simultaneous test (F-test) indicates that both variables jointly have a significant effect on hospital service efficiency. The coefficient of determination (R²) reveals that a substantial proportion of service efficiency can be explained by these two variables, while the remaining variance is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. These findings highlight that the integration of advanced technologies and the enhancement of human resource capabilities are essential in improving hospital service performance. The study suggests that hospitals should invest in the development of Artificial Intelligence systems as well as continuous training programs to strengthen the digital competence of healthcare workers. Such efforts are expected to support the achievement of efficient, effective, and high-quality healthcare services.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the misalignment of admission pathways in the implementation of the New Student Admission System (SPMB) at SMA Negeri 1 Mataram, conducted by the Department of Education and Culture of West Nusa Tenggara Province. This policy is implemented as an effort to promote equitable access to and quality of education across all regions, particularly at the senior secondary education level. The main issues encountered in the implementation of this policy include a surge in applicants to favored schools, public resistance to the zoning system, and various technical and social obstacles. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation for data collection. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model by Miles and Huberman, supported by Atlas.ti 25 software to map the findings. The study focuses on (1) the implementation of the SPMB policy, (2) supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation process, and (3) strategies employed to overcome the challenges. The findings reveal that the SPMB policy at SMA Negeri 1 Mataram has been implemented in accordance with guidelines from the Education Department, yet still faces significant challenges such as domicile data manipulation, limited infrastructure, and insufficient public outreach. Key supporting factors include the school's commitment, readiness of the online system, and supportive regulations. Strategies undertaken include enhanced inter-institutional communication, adaptation of admission quota allocation, and improvements to digital services. This research recommends strengthening transparency, equal distribution of facilities across schools, and reinforcing monitoring and regular evaluation systems for the SPMB implementation. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for refining education policies, particularly in ensuring fair and equitable student admissions.

Abstract

Leadership is a strategic factor in determining the effectiveness of hospital management, particularly in addressing the complexities of the modern healthcare system. In the Indonesian context, military hospitals exhibit distinct leadership characteristics compared to civilian hospitals, namely leadership based on discipline, hierarchy, obedience to command, and mission orientation. This literature review aims to comprehensively analyze the implementation of a military leadership style in hospital management in Indonesia, including its advantages, limitations, and implications for organizational and healthcare worker performance. The method used is a systematic literature review with a narrative approach to various scientific publications from 2020–2026 obtained from reputable international journals, global health organization reports, and indexed national publications. The study results indicate that a military leadership style has advantages in organizational discipline, operational efficiency, cross-unit coordination, and crisis management, particularly in emergency situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic and health disaster management. However, this leadership style also has limitations, particularly in aspects of interpersonal communication, organizational flexibility, healthcare worker participation, and psychological safety. Recent literature indicates the need for a hybrid leadership model that integrates the strengths of military leadership with a more participatory and humanistic civilian leadership approach. This study also identifies several research gaps, including a lack of comparative empirical research in Indonesia, a lack of longitudinal studies, and limited exploration of the influence of organizational culture on the effectiveness of military leadership in hospitals. Theoretically, this study broadens our understanding of leadership adaptation across sectors, while practically providing implications for developing more adaptive, effective, and contextual hospital leadership models within the Indonesian healthcare system.

Abstract

This study analyzed the effectiveness of Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) implementation in improving hospital service performance by examining the interaction between technological, human, and organizational dimensions. A qualitative literature synthesis with a conceptual narrative review design was employed by integrating secondary data from scientific journals, academic books, and health information system policy documents. Data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis guided by the De Lone and McLean Information System Success Model and enriched with a socio-technical systems perspective. The synthesis showed that SIMRS implementation improved service efficiency, data accuracy, inter-unit coordination, and decision-making quality through better system quality, information quality, and service quality. However, its effectiveness depended on system-user alignment, digital competence, infrastructure readiness, and organizational support. Poor alignment between system design and actual work practices may reduce adoption and encourage workarounds. Therefore, SIMRS should be implemented holistically by balancing technical infrastructure, user capacity building, and adaptive organizational governance.

Abstract

The quality of healthcare services, particularly in the Pharmacy Installation, plays a crucial role in shaping patient satisfaction and loyalty at primary healthcare facilities. The phenomenon observed at Global Medical Center Clinic Batam reveals several challenges, including relatively long pharmacy service waiting times, unfriendly staff attitudes, limited drug information and education, and inadequate supporting facilities. These conditions have the potential to reduce patient satisfaction and loyalty, making it necessary to conduct an empirical study to determine the extent to which pharmacy installation services, service quality, and patient satisfaction can influence patient loyalty. This study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method conducted on 110 patient respondents. Data analysis was performed using SPSS software through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that pharmacy installation services significantly influence patient loyalty (β = 0.206, p = 0.026); service quality significantly influences patient loyalty (β = 0.273, p = 0.006); and patient satisfaction significantly influences patient loyalty (β = 0.078, p = 0.035). Simultaneously, all three variables explain 83.3% of the variance in patient loyalty (F = 9.869, p = 0.000). Clinic management is advised to implement continuous improvements in pharmacy service aspects, service quality standards, and patient experience to maintain competitiveness and the clinic's reputation.
