Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menginterpretasi gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan mutu Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MI Hifdzul Qur’an Sangatta Utara, Kutai Timur. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah delapan orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala madrasah yang menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif cenderung menciptakan lingkungan yang inklusif dan membangun hubungan yang harmonis antara semua pihak terkait, termasuk guru, staf, siswa, orang tua, dan masyarakat. Keterlibatan aktif dalam proses pengambilan keputusan dan pelaksanaan program-program mutu memungkinkan partisipan untuk merasa memiliki, meningkatkan motivasi, dan memperkuat komitmen mereka terhadap upaya peningkatan mutu. Dengan demikian maka eksplorasi gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif kepala madrasah menyoroti pentingnya kolaborasi dan keterlibatan semua pemangku kepentingan dalam mencapai tujuan bersama peningkatan mutu Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya pengembangan kompetensi kepemimpinan yang memungkinkan kepala madrasah untuk mempraktikkan pendekatan partisipatif secara efektif guna menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang inklusif, responsif, dan berorientasi pada peningkatan mutu.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze class management strategies, class management processes, and class management problems in implementing the Merdeka curriculum in basic education institutions. This research was conducted at MIN 1 East Kutai. The method used is the descriptive qualitative research method. There were 8 informants in this study: the deputy principal for curriculum, class I, II, IV, and V teachers, and three invalid teachers. The research results show that classroom management strategies involve collaboration between teachers and students in lesson planning, selection of diverse materials, open and active learning, and emphasis on formative assessment. The class management process is carried out through initial assessments, preparing plans, implementation through understanding the goals and principles of the independent curriculum, determining learning objectives, using appropriate methods, facilitating students in creating study groups, providing assistance regarding conflicts and challenges in learning, and evaluating learning. The problems include too many students in one class, lack of student learning independence, lack of appropriate learning media, uneven understanding, difficulty managing time, lack of communication, and insufficient resources and understanding of the Merdeka curriculum. The practical implications of this research can help educators develop more effective approaches to managing the classroom and designing classroom management that allows students to reach their maximum potential in an Merdeka curriculum.

Abstract

This research examines building educational independence through management innovation. The aim is to analyze the concept of management innovation, management innovation in building the independence of educational institutions, as well as problems in building the independence of educational institutions. The method applied in this research is the library research method. The research results are: The concept of management innovation often emphasizes the importance of innovation as the key to improving organizational performance and maintaining competitiveness in a dynamic environment. Meanwhile, building the independence of educational institutions can be done by: developing vision, mission, and strategy; efficient resource management; developing leadership and managerial skills; using technology to improve performance; and developing strategic partnerships. The problems are: limited financial resources, dependence on government funds or donors, limited access to technology and infrastructure, lack of managerial skills among staff and leaders of educational institutions, changes in government policy, and lack of community support. It is hoped that this research will provide valuable insight for education policy makers, teaching staff, and other stakeholders in their efforts to strengthen the educational institution system and prepare educational institutions that are strong and competitive. Keywords: Innovation, Management, Independence, Educational institutions Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang membangun kemandirian pendidikan melalui inovasi manajemen. Tujuannya adalah untuk menganalisis konsep inovasi manajemen, inovasi manajemen dalam membangun kemandirian lembaga pendidikan, serta problem dalam membangun kemandirian lembaga pendidikan. Metode yang diaplikasikan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian yaitu: Konsep inovasi manajemen sering kali menekankan pentingnya inovasi sebagai kunci untuk meningkatkan kinerja organisasi dan mempertahankan daya saing di lingkungan yang dinamis. Sementara dalam membangun kemandirian lembaga pendidikan dapat dilakukan dengan: pengembangan visi, misi, dan strategi, pengelolaan sumber daya yang efisien, pengembangan kepemimpinan dan keterampilan manajerial, penggunaan teknologi untuk peningkatan kinerja, penggunaan teknologi untuk peningkatan kinerja, dan pengembangan kemitraan strategis. Adapun problemnya adalah: keterbatasan sumber daya finansial, ketergantungan pada dana pemerintah atau donatur, keterbatasan akses terhadap teknologi dan infrastruktur, kurangnya keterampilan manajerial di antara staf dan pimpinan lembaga pendidikan, perubahan kebijakan pemerintah, dan kurangnya dukungan masyarakat. Harapannya, penelitian ini akan memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi para pengambil kebijakan pendidikan, tenaga pendidik, dan stakeholder lainnya dalam upaya mereka untuk memperkuat sistem lembaga pendidikan dan mempersiapkan lembaga pendidikan yang tangguh dan berdaya saing. Abstract

Collaborative decision-making is an important element in educational management, especially in Raudlatul Athfal (RA) institutions, which have complex needs from various parties. This study aims to analyze the collaborative decision-making model at Raudlatul Athfal PIQ Sangatta Utara, focusing on the implementation process, benefits, and challenges faced. This study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis and then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The study results indicate that the collaborative decision-making model involves the active participation of the principal, teachers, parents, and school committee in the strategic policy-making process. This approach has succeeded in increasing a sense of shared ownership, strengthening communication, and producing decisions that are more responsive to the needs of the institution and stakeholders. Other benefits identified include increased management effectiveness, quality of education services, and satisfaction of related parties. The implementation of this model faces several challenges, such as differences in interests between stakeholders, limited managerial capacity, and resistance to changes in organizational culture. The researcher recommends a strategy to strengthen participatory management capacity, improve communication between parties, and provide continuous training for decision-makers in educational institutions.

Abstract

Sosialisasi wawasan kebangsaan sebagai upaya penguatan nilai-nilai Empat Konsensus Nasional bersama anggota DPRD Provinsi Kalimantan Timur sangat relevan dalam memperkokoh persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa, khususnya di tengah keberagaman yang ada di Kalimantan Timur dan Indonesia. Sosialisasi Wawasan Kebangsaan dilaksanakan pada hari Minggu, 17 November 2024, di Agra Rasa (Eks. Mesfa Mulia), Jln. Yos Sudarso 3, RT.2, Teluk Lingga, Sangatta, Kutai Timur, Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Acara ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat pemahaman masyarakat tentang pentingnya empat konsesnsus kebangsaan, yaitu Pancasila, UUD 1945, NKRI, dan Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Kegiatan ini menghadirkan anggota DPRD Provinsi Kalimantan Timur, tokoh masyarakat, serta akademisi yang memberikan materi terkait wawasan kebangsaan, serta tantangan dan solusi dalam implementasinya di kehidupan sehari-hari. Diskusi tanya jawab menjadi ajang bagi peserta untuk mengungkapkan pertanyaan dan pandangan mengenai kendala yang dihadapi dalam penerapan nilai-nilai kebangsaan. Dengan tujuan memperkuat rasa nasionalisme, acara ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam menjaga persatuan, keberagaman, dan keutuhan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia, sehingga tercipta masyarakat yang lebih harmonis, sejahtera, dan berwawasan kebangsaan yang tinggi.

Abstract

The enthusiasm of the community to attend religious activities, such as the taklim assembly, tabligh akbar, the celebration of Islamic holidays, yasinan and tahlilan tends to be lacking. However, it is often found that community participation tends to increase when attending music concerts, art performances, night markets, and activities that are far from religious values. The purpose of this service is to increase community participation in participating in religious activities at Dusun Airport. The method used in this service is the Participatory Action Research method, where the author is directly involved in its implementation. The result is assistance for religious activities in the form of teaching at the TPA Nur Hijrah Mosque, the celebration of the Isra' Mi'raj of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, and recitation of the taklim assembly. Assistance for religious activities in the airport hamlet can increase the knowledge and experience of the community in the religious field within a framework of togetherness. This can be seen from the increasing attention of parents towards their children's Al-Qur'an education, the spirit of togetherness in participating in taklim assemblies is increasing, and the commemoration of the Isra' Mi'raj is the forerunner to the celebration of other big days in one calendar year Hijri.

Abstract

Community service through the Da'wah Camp and Student Service (KDBM) program is one form of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The purpose of this service is to carry out the service activity items in the da'wah camp program and student service at STAI Sangatta Kutai Timur. The method used in this service is participatory action research (PAR). The results of the dedication show that the da'wah camp program and student service at the Daarus Sholah Islamic Boarding School are carried out with several activity items, namely: congregational prayer assistance and brief advice giving students an understanding of the importance of regularly praying, tidying up and tidying up rows, and knowing the virtues of congregational prayer, Teaching the Koran to students provides understanding to students on how to read the Qur'an properly and correctly and in accordance with the rules of tajwid and makhorijul letters, as well as community service at the service location, resulting in togetherness in protecting the environment and social life. The Daarus Sholah Islamic Boarding School environment has become cleaner, neater, more beautiful, and, of course, healthier. The hope is that with community service through the missionary camp and student service programs, higher education institutions can make a real contribution to the wider community.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of Islamic religious education teachers in developing students' attitudes of tolerance, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors faced by teachers in the process of developing students' attitudes of tolerance. This research uses a qualitative approach, and data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. In contrast, the analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman analysis techniques with data condensation, data presentation, and verification. The results of this research show that PAI teachers at SMAN 2 Sangatta Utara play a role in developing students' attitudes of tolerance, PAI teachers act as educators, teachers, mentors, trainers and role models. Apart from that, PAI teachers also play a role in teaching the values ​​of tolerance through discussions, case studies and extracurricular activities, as well as creating an environment that respects diversity by encouraging positive interactions between students from various religious backgrounds. Supporting factors in implementing multicultural education include teacher commitment, cooperation with parents and the community, and support from the school administration while inhibiting factors include new students who have difficulty adapting and lack of support from the home environment, which is often internally related.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form of classroom management evaluation, the implementation process, and its implications for the learning process at the elementary education level. Although classroom management is a key factor in the effectiveness of learning, there is still a gap in understanding the optimal evaluation strategy to improve the quality of teacher-student interactions. Therefore, this study seeks to provide deeper insight into the evaluation practices implemented by teachers in managing the classroom. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach with the research location at Elementary School 006 North Sangatta, East Kutai. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to understand classroom management evaluation comprehensively. The study results indicate that classroom management evaluation is carried out through checking student attendance, reprimanding students who are not conducive, seating arrangements, and using oral tests as formative and summative assessments. The evaluation process is done by giving assignments and tests, monitoring student involvement, implementing predetermined evaluation criteria, and developing improvement strategies based on the evaluation results. The implications of this study indicate that classroom management evaluation contributes to increasing learning effectiveness, where teachers can adjust teaching techniques based on student needs and available resources. In addition, the evaluation results help teachers adopt more relevant learning strategies, increase student participation and understanding, and optimize managerial skills in creating a conducive learning environment. These findings emphasize the importance of classroom management evaluation as part of efforts to improve the quality of basic education.

Abstract

Educational institutions have their own way of responding to the Covid-19 pandemic in the month of Ramadhan, including in terms of increasing the practice of Ramadhan for their students, one of which is by implementing a virtual Ramadhan Islamic boarding school program. YPPSB Middle School, North Sangatta, East Kutai, is one of the schools that carry out virtual Ramadhan Islamic boarding school activities. The purpose of service is to motivate students to improve their practice in the month of Ramadhan. The implementation of the Ramadhan boarding school is carried out virtually by using a computer, the Google Meet application and the internet network. The result is that the implementation of the service runs smoothly, and the students are enthusiastic about participating in the Ramadhan boarding school by actively asking questions in the discussion and question and answer sessions. The material presented is about prayer, congregational prayer, and prayer priests. The moral material discusses morals to parents, teachers, and fellow human beings.
