Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of evaluating the extent of the professionalism of the apparatus within the Central Bangka Regency Government by examining how performance affects it, as well as evaluating the extent to which competence, motivation, and organizational culture contribute to the achievement of the performance of Government Employees with Employment Agreements (PPPK). By applying a quantitative approach and explanatory research design, data was obtained through a survey of 191 respondents, then analyzed using multiple linear regression methods and simple linear regression. The results of the analysis show that the three independent variables simultaneously or separately have a significant influence on employee performance, where organizational culture emerges as the most dominant factor. In addition, performance has been proven to make a positive and significant contribution to the formation of apparatus professionalism. These findings confirm that the level of professionalism cannot be separated from the work performance displayed, which is substantially determined by individual abilities, motivational drive, as well as the collective values that live in the organization's culture. Based on these results, the policy recommendations that can be drawn highlight the urgency to strengthen the organizational culture based on the core values of the State Civil Apparatus, encourage the development of competencies in accordance with the needs of the position, and reorganize the incentive system and performance evaluation to build a more professional and responsible bureaucracy.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of digital literacy, creativity, and tolerance for ambiguity on the entrepreneurial attitude of Generation Z, with growth mindset as a mediating variable. Generation Z, as digital natives, possess extensive access to technology, yet entrepreneurial attitudes among them remain uneven. Drawing from socio-cognitive and entrepreneurial mindset theories, this research employs a quantitative approach using a structured survey and partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) to analyze responses from 137 Gen Z participants. The findings reveal that digital literacy significantly affects growth mindset, which in turn strongly influences entrepreneurial attitude. However, digital literacy, creativity, and ambiguity tolerance do not show direct significant effects on entrepreneurial attitude. Only the growth mindset mediates the relationship between digital literacy and entrepreneurial attitude significantly, highlighting its pivotal role. These insights underline the importance of fostering a growth-oriented learning environment and strengthening digital competence to encourage entrepreneurial behavior. The study contributes theoretically by expanding the mediating role of growth mindset and offers practical implications for entrepreneurship education tailored to Generation Z in the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of government policies, trade unions, and managerial roles on the stability of industrial relations and their impact on the performance of tin mining smelter companies in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The main problem in this study is how the interaction of these three independent variables can create a stable, productive, and sustainable working relationship climate, which in turn affects the company's overall performance. The method used in this study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive-causal design, where data is collected through a questionnaire of 170 respondents, consisting of tin smelter employees and employees of the Manpower Office. The instrument was measured on a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression and simple linear regression to determine the correlative relationship between the variables studied. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that simultaneously government policies, trade unions, and managerial roles have a significant influence on the stability of industrial relations. Partially, each independent variable also makes a significant contribution to the stability of industrial relations. This research makes a theoretical contribution to the study of industrial relations and offers practical recommendations for policymakers, company management, and trade unions to strive for a positive and sustainable work environment.

The improvement of public sector employee performance depends greatly on various managerial and technological factors. This study aims to analyze the influence of participative leadership style, human resource availability, and information technology capability on work motivation and their impact on employee performance at the sub-district level in Pangkal Pinang City. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method involving 75 respondents. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique through SmartPLS version 4. The results indicated that participative leadership style, human resource availability, and information technology capability significantly influenced work motivation. Work motivation was also found to have a direct effect on employee performance. Meanwhile, the direct effects of participative leadership style and information technology capability on performance were not significant; however, both exerted indirect effects through work motivation as a mediating variable. These findings highlight the critical role of work motivation in mediating the influence of managerial and technological factors on achieving optimal employee performance in the public sector

Abstract

This study aims to analyze community perceptions of the application of legal and economic principles of food security in Rias Village, Toboali District. Food security is a crucial issue because it is directly related to survival, welfare, and regional economic stability. However, the community's understanding of food security is often limited to food availability, without considering its relationship with legislation and the dynamics of the village economy. The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach that included in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of the local community. The results of the study show that the people of Rias Village have a positive perception of the importance of food security, especially from an economic perspective, such as market access, food prices, and business capital. However, understanding of legal aspects is still limited, especially regarding government and local regulations that should protect the community's right to access food. This perception confirms that the successful implementation of food security principles in Rias Village is influenced by legal policies that favor the community and economic strategies that encourage local food self-sufficiency.

Abstract

This research investigates the effect of the availability of Islamic financing on the economic growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Sukabumi. A sample of 197 MSMEs participated in the study, providing data on Islamic financing utilization, financial performance indicators, and other relevant variables. The analysis employs Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to examine the relationships between these variables. The results reveal a significant and positive relationship between the availability of Islamic financing and the economic growth of MSMEs. Additionally, the study uncovers the mediating role of financial performance indicators, indicating that improved financial performance acts as a mechanism through which Islamic financing positively influences economic growth. Furthermore, the moderation analysis highlights the varying impact across different enterprise sizes, with medium-sized enterprises experiencing a more pronounced positive effect. The practical implications of these findings are discussed in the context of policy, financial institutions, and MSME owners. Policymakers can use the results to design targeted policies, financial institutions can refine their strategies, and MSME owners gain insights into the benefits of utilizing Islamic financing.

Abstract

This study explores the complex relationships that exist between innovation, competitiveness, and competition legislation in West Java, Indonesian businesses. West Java's varied industrial landscape makes it a perfect place to study how competition legislation influences creativity and competitiveness. Using a mixed-method approach, the study combines survey data that is quantitatively collected with qualitative information obtained through interviews. The results show that a sizable majority of West Javan businesses have a favorable opinion of competition legislation and see it as a tool for ensuring openness and fair competition. Notably, a significant fraction of these businesses also devote a notable amount of their resources to research and development (R&D) and actively participate in innovation activities. According to the survey's findings, firms may be encouraged to invest in innovation by competition laws that are properly implemented, which is consistent with neoclassical economic theory. In spite of the favorable attitudes and investments in innovation, there are differences amongst West Javan enterprises in competitiveness metrics like market share and profitability. This highlights the intricate connection—which varies depending on the sector and industry—between company competitiveness and competition legislation. Qualitative insights gleaned from interviews shed light on the dynamics and obstacles unique to the industry, highlighting the necessity of customized strategies for competition law enforcement. The paper also outlines obstacles, including a lack of knowledge about competition law among enterprises, resource limitations that regulatory bodies must deal with, and worries about intellectual property protection in very competitive markets. These results highlight the need of raising awareness and developing capacity among regulatory agencies as well as businesses. The research has consequences for policymaking as well, pointing to the need for programs to raise business understanding, provide funding to regulatory bodies, and create safeguards for intellectual property rights. The study adds to our knowledge of how competition legislation affects corporate behavior and offers insightful information that can guide regulatory strategies in developing nations like West Java.
