Abstract

This study aims to empirically analyze the influence of work-life balance and workload on employee performance at the North Samarinda District Office. The background of this study is based on the importance of creating a balance between personal and work and managing a healthy workload to increase the productivity of government apparatus. The research approach used is quantitative with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 100 employees from the district office and eight villages in the North Samarinda area. Data analysis was carried out using validity and reliability tests, classical assumptions, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R2) with the help of SPSS software version 23. The results of the study indicate that work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on employee performance while workload has a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance. The determination coefficient shows that 27.2% of employee performance variations are run by these variables, the rest is influenced by other factors outside this study. This finding supports the importance of workload policies and management in improving performance in North Samarinda District.

Abstract

The main issue faced by PT Rejeki Bukit Separi, a manpower provider in the mining sector, is the suboptimal performance of its employees, characterized by low work quality, delayed task completion, and reduced work effectiveness. This problem is suspected to be closely related to the level of employee competence, particularly in terms of technical understanding, operational skills, and professional attitude. This study aims to analyze and empirically examine the effect of competence on employee performance. A quantitative explanatory survey method was employed. The population consists of all operational employees at PT Rejeki Bukit Separi, totaling 66 respondents selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale, supported by observation and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and simple linear regression with SPSS version 25. The results show that competence which includes knowledge, skills, and attitude has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The regression coefficient value is 0.973 with a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05), and the coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.530, indicating that competence explains 53% of the variation in performance. These findings emphasize the importance of structured competency development programs to enhance productivity and ensure operational safety in the mining industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of job training on the productivity of Generation Z employees at Pizza Hut Samarinda City. In the highly competitive and dynamic fast food industry, job training is a strategic element in improving competence, work effectiveness, and competitiveness of human resources. This is increasingly important for Generation Z employees, who are known to be adaptive to technology and have different learning styles compared to previous generations. This study uses a quantitative approach with the saturation sampling method, involving 55 respondents from Generation Z who are actively working in the company. The data collection technique was carried out through a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale, and the data were analyzed using SPSS software version 27. The results showed that job training had a positive and significant effect on employee productivity, with a regression coefficient of 0.728 and a significance value of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.528 indicates that 52.8% of the variation in employee productivity can be explained by job training. The quality of training materials and evaluation factors were identified as the most dominant aspects in increasing productivity. These findings emphasize the importance of designing relevant, digital-based training programs that are tailored to the characteristics of the younger generation. This research is expected to contribute to the development of human resources in the fast food sector and become a reference in designing effective training policies in the modern era.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya daya saing UMKM kuliner yang belum optimal memanfaatkan platform digital seperti layanan food delivery dan media sosial, khususnya TikTok, sebagai sarana branding dan pemasaran produk. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan literasi digital dan keterampilan promosi UMKM kuliner agar mampu menjangkau pasar yang lebih luas dan meningkatkan omzet penjualan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi observasi kebutuhan mitra, pelatihan intensif penggunaan aplikasi GoFood, GrabFood dan ShopeeFood dan strategi pembuatan konten TikTok yang menarik, serta pendampingan langsung dalam implementasi digital branding. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan mitra dalam mengelola akun food delivery, membuat konten video kreatif, dan memahami algoritma TikTok untuk memperluas jangkauan audiens. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam mendorong transformasi digital UMKM kuliner, memperkuat eksistensi usaha di era digital, dan meningkatkan daya saing mereka di tengah persaingan pasar yang semakin ketat. Metode kegiatan dalam program ini dilaksanakan melalui pendampingan interaktif, praktik langsung (hands-on), dan pendampingan berkelanjutan yang mencakup registrasi serta pengelolaan akun food delivery, teknik penyusunan menu digital dan strategi promosi online, pembuatan serta optimalisasi akun TikTok bisnis, produksi konten video branding yang menarik, informatif, dan relevan dengan tren pasar. Sasaran utama sebagai peserta adalah UMKM kuliner di kota Samarinda dengan jumlah pelaku usaha sebanyak 15 UMKM kuliner yang dilaksanakan sejak bulan Mei – Juni 2025. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang kami lakukan sebesar 100% peserta berhasil membuat dan mengelola akun di platform food delivery seperti GoFood, GrabFood atau ShopeeFood secara mandiri, serta 85% di antaranya mulai aktif memanfaatkan TikTok bisnis sebagai media promosi digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh employee engagement dan beban kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Dinas Pekerjaan Umum, Penataan Ruang, dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR-PERA) Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei, melibatkan 121 responden dari 173 populasi yang dipilih melalui teknik random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan SPSS versi 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa employee engagement berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai (nilai signifikansi = 0,004; t hitung = 3,039), sedangkan beban kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan (nilai signifikansi = 0,416; t hitung = -0,823). Secara simultan, kedua variabel juga tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai (nilai F = 0,222; signifikansi > 0,05), dengan nilai R² sebesar 0,201 yang berarti hanya 20,1% variasi kinerja dapat dijelaskan oleh kedua variabel tersebut. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa keterlibatan pegawai memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja, sementara beban kerja berlebih tidak memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam model ini. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya penguatan employee engagement sebagai dasar pengambilan kebijakan pengelolaan SDM di sektor publik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pemahaman terhadap faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kinerja pegawai, khususnya di tingkat kecamatan dan kelurahan sebagai ujung tombak pelayanan publik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh lingkungan kerja dan stres kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Kantor Kecamatan Samarinda Utara. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survei, dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 100 responden yang terdiri atas pegawai kantor kecamatan dan kelurahan di wilayah Samarinda Utara, dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa variabel lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, sebagaimana dibuktikan dengan nilai signifikansi (p < 0,05). Sementara itu, stres kerja tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan secara parsial. Namun secara simultan, kedua variabel tersebut menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,082 mengindikasikan bahwa 8,2% variasi kinerja pegawai dapat dijelaskan oleh lingkungan kerja dan stres kerja, sedangkan 91,8% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam studi ini. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penciptaan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif merupakan prioritas utama dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja aparatur di tingkat kecamatan, sementara manajemen stres tetap perlu diperhatikan sebagai langkah preventif dalam menghadapi dinamika beban kerja.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of employee welfare and training on worker productivity at PT. Hayyu Pratama Kaltim. Welfare and training are considered important factors in improving employee performance, especially in construction service companies with high workloads. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 48 randomly selected respondents. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 27. The results show that employee welfare and training have a positive and significant effect on worker productivity, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 41.6% indicates that these two variables explain a significant portion of the variation in employee productivity. These findings suggest that efforts to improve productivity should be supported by appropriate welfare and training programs.

Abstract

Rejeki Bukit Separi is a labor supply company for the coal mining industry in East Kalimantan. This study employs a quantitative approach using survey techniques, involving the entire population of 66 employees as the sample through total sampling. The analytical techniques used include validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumptions, and simple linear regression tests using SPSS version 25. The results of the study indicate that the physical work environment significantly influences performance. The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of the work environment on employee performance at PT. Rejeki Bukit Separi. Specifically, this study aims to identify the extent to which aspects of the work environment, both physical and non-physical, such as safety and social relationships, play a crucial role in supporting employee productivity and work effectiveness. Therefore, companies need to prioritize workplace environment quality as a strategic component of human resource management, especially in the mining sector, which is characterized by operational challenges and high work-related risks. These findings not only provide practical contributions for company management in designing policies more focused on employee well-being but are also expected to serve as a reference for further research and contribute theoretically to the development of human resource management science, particularly in the labor-intensive sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of internal communication on employee performance at the Traffic Unit of Polresta Samarinda. The main problem addressed is the lack of effective internal communication, which leads to miscommunication, task execution errors, and low employee morale. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 93 respondents out of a total population of 120 employees. Data were collected through questionnaires, and the validity and reliability were tested using SPSS version 27. The data analysis techniques used include simple linear regression, t-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results show that internal communication has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a regression coefficient value of 0.810 and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.748 indicates that 74.8% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by internal communication, while the remaining 25.2% is influenced by other factors. These findings emphasize the importance of effective internal communication in improving employee performance, especially in work environments that require high levels of coordination, such as the police force. Therefore, improving the quality of internal communication can be a key strategy to enhance work effectiveness and productivity in the Traffic Unit of Polresta Samarinda.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kinerja pegawai sebagai faktor penentu keberhasilan pelayanan publik, khususnya di lingkungan pemerintahan tingkat kecamatan yang memiliki beban tugas administratif dan pelayanan masyarakat yang cukup kompleks. Beban kerja yang tidak terkelola dengan baik serta kondisi lingkungan kerja yang kurang memadai dapat memengaruhi kinerja pegawai, terutama dalam menghadapi tantangan era digitalisasi layanan publik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh beban kerja dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai di Kantor Kecamatan Samarinda Utara. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 100 responden, yang terdiri atas pegawai negeri sipil dan tenaga honorer di kantor kecamatan dan delapan kelurahan di wilayah tersebut. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan software SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial, beban kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, ditunjukkan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,178 (> 0,05) dan nilai t-hitung 1,358 (< t-tabel 1,984). Sebaliknya, lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,025 (< 0,05) dan t-hitung sebesar 2,275 (> t-tabel 1,984). Secara simultan, beban kerja dan lingkungan kerja bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, dengan nilai F-hitung sebesar 5,166 dan signifikansi 0,007 (< 0,05). Namun demikian, kontribusi kedua variabel tersebut terhadap kinerja tergolong rendah, ditunjukkan oleh nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 9,6%. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya peningkatan kualitas lingkungan kerja dan perlunya strategi pengelolaan beban kerja yang lebih efisien dalam rangka mendukung optimalisasi kinerja pegawai di sektor pemerintahan.
