Abstract

Memasuki abad ke 21 dunia pendidikan mulai beranjak pada pendidikan yang berbasis kepada nilai serta karakter. Karakter peduli sosial wajib ditanamkan pada peserta didik melalui berbagai kegiatan sosial. Mahasiswa dididik untuk bertanggung jawab dan memiliki kewajiban untuk membantu orang-orang yang membutuhkan. Melalui kegiatan sosial, pembentukan sikap dan kepekaan sosial dalam diri mahasiswa dapat tumbuh sehingga memiliki rasa kepedulian terhadap keanekaragaman ras, budaya, serta agama yang berada ditengah masyarakat. Nilai karakter yang dicapai adalah tujuan yang ingin dicapai yaitu: Pertama. Menumbuhkan karakter peduli sosial mahasiswa baik dilingkungan keluarga maupun masyarakat. Sebagai sosial control mahasiswa harus mengamati perubahan yang terjadi di lingkungan masyarakat dan memberikan solusi untuk menyelesaikan jika terjadi suatu masalah di sekitarnya. Kedua, Memupuk rasa tanggung jawab mahasiswa sebagai mahkluk sosial, harus memiliki jiwa empati dan simpati terhadap lingkungan serta memupuk jiwa cinta tanah air demi terciptanya masyarakat yang berkeadilan sosial melalui proses kegiatan sosial yang dilakukan guna memenuhi kebutuhan di camp pengungsian warga esk Timor Timur dalam bidang pendidikan. Ketiga, mahasiswa dapat merancang program kelompok belajar “Cinta Indonesia“ di camp pengungsian serta melakoni peran sebagai guru ditengah masyarakat.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan dari pelatihan ini yakni, memberikan pengenalan operasi komputer dalam bentuk pelatihan pengenalan komputer bagi siswa kelas V SDN Mareda Kalada. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Mareda Kalada mendapatkan edukasi tentang dasar penggunaan komputer dan cara mengoperasikan komputer. Dari hasil tersebut siswa lebih mudah dalam mengoperasikan komputer dalam belajar terutama penggunaan microsoft word dan powerpoint.Kata Kunci : pengabdian, edukasi, microsoft, word, powerpointAbstractThe purpose of this training is to provide an introduction to computer operations in the form of computer introduction training for grade V students of SDN Mareda Kalada. The result of this community service activity is that grade V students of SDN Mareda Kalada get education about the basic use of computers and how to operate computers. Abstract

AbstrakPelatihan pengembangan kompetensi guru di Sabu Raijua perlu dilakukan karena sebagian besar guru-guru di Sabu Raijua belum memahami dengan baik proses pembelajaran yang bersifat kontekstual, assesment dan sertifikasi yang dapat menunjang potensi guru dalam proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas. Dalam pelatihan ini, kampus Universitas Citra Bangsa Kota Kupang berkolaborasi dengan GAIN Global Teachers and Trainers Academy untuk melaksanakan program Pelatihan, Asesmen, dan Sertifikasi Internasional. Program ini bertujuan untuk Penguasaan Pembelajaran Kontekstual yang berpusat pada siswa, berdiferensiasi, dan berpusat pada projek yang saat ini sedang diterapkan sebagai standar pendidikan di Indonesia oleh Pemerintah melalui Kemendikbudristek Republik Indonesia. Pelatihan ini telah dilaksanakan dan memberikan hasil yang memuaskan bagi guru-guru di Sabu Raijua dalam memahami bagaimana menentukan strategi pembelajaran, materi yang digunakan, memahami karakter dari peserta didik dan menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan agar menumbuhkan minat belajar guru maupun siswa. Kata Kunci : Pelatihan, Kompetensi, Guru AbstractTeacher competency development training in Sabu Raijua is necessary because the majority of teachers in Sabu Raijua do not yet have a thorough understanding of contextual learning processes, assessment, and certification that can support teachers' potential in the classroom learning process. In this training, Citra Bangsa University in Kota Kupang collaborates with GAIN Global Teachers and Trainers Academy to implement an International Training, Assessment, and Certification program. This program aims to achieve mastery in student-centered, differentiated, and project-centered contextual learning, which is currently being implemented as the education standard in Indonesia by the government through the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The training has been conducted and has yielded satisfactory results for teachers in Sabu Raijua, enabling them to understand how to determine teaching strategies, utilize appropriate materials, comprehend the characteristics of learners, and create an enjoyable learning environment to foster the interest of both teachers and students in learning. Abstract

Literacy activities in learning aim to develop the ability to understand texts and relate them to personal experiences, think critically, and process communication skills creatively. Through this PKM activity, which covers material on narrative texts, it can help, increase reading interest and narrative literacy skills of class 10 high school students at SMA N 1 Amanuban Selatan, increase students' understanding of the structure, characteristics and techniques of writing narrative texts. Develop students' skills in producing narrative texts creatively.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the challenges in building a digital literacy ecosystem in the Indonesia-East Timor border area, particularly in East Amfoang Sub-district. Using a descriptive qualitative approach. The results show that the majority of teachers face difficulties in accessing the internet and digital technology for learning activities, with 121 teachers reporting consistent difficulties. The challenges faced by the community are limited digital infrastructure, low economic capability and lack of digital literacy training, which hinder the utilization of technology in daily life and education. The findings highlight the importance of developing satellite-based or 5G internet infrastructure that can reach remote areas, as well as digital literacy training that focuses on practical skills for teachers and students. In addition, public education programs related to information safety and news source verification are also needed to increase public awareness of digital risks. Based on the research results, it is recommended to implement more equitable digital infrastructure development policies, community-based digital skills training, and collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and the private sector to create technology solutions that suit local needs. With these strategies, it is expected to reduce the digital divide and improve the quality of life and economic welfare of people in border areas.

Abstract

This research explores the integration of local culture “Halaika” into the formal education system of the Boti Dalam community amidst the challenges of education digitalization. The Boti Dalam community faces a dilemma between the importance of formal education to prepare the younger generation for the times and concerns about the negative impacts of technology. One of the main challenges faced is how to integrate Halaika cultural values that emphasize harmony with nature and avoidance of excessive use of technology into the formal education curriculum without compromising the quality of education. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs) and participatory observation involving traditional leaders, parents, students and teachers. The results show that the Halaika teachings serve as a safeguard against the negative influence of the digitalization of education but also reveal challenges in integrating these traditional values into formal education. Although there is a growing awareness among the Boti Dalam community about the importance of local wisdom-based education, the main challenges faced are the lack of training for teachers as well as the limited resources available. Therefore, collaboration between educational institutions and the government, as well as the development of specialized training for teachers, is needed to create programs that support the integration of Halaika values.

Abstract

The commodification of Belis culture in Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, is increasing, threatening the preservation of traditional values related to social honor and family relations. These values are now starting to shift into commodities that are traded for economic interests. Preservation efforts through education and cultural revitalization have not been effective in facing this challenge. Therefore, this study aims to examine the strengthening of digital literacy as a strategy to prevent the commodification of Belis culture. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, which allows in-depth exploration of the phenomenon of cultural commodification. The results show that strengthening digital literacy is an important solution to protect Belis culture, by giving the community the ability to access and disseminate cultural information through digital platforms. Some of the strategies found in this research include: first, increasing the capacity of the community in utilizing digital technology to preserve Belis culture; second, creating educational content about Belis culture through articles, videos, and podcasts; and third, forming digital communities to support cultural preservation collaboratively.

Abstract

Keterbatasan akses terhadap pelatihan profesional, kurangnya kesempatan untuk berbagi pengalaman antar guru, dan kekurangan sumber daya pendidikan berdampak pada rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Kurangnya kolaborasi antara guru berdampak pada kurang inovasi dan kreativitas guru dalam mengelolah kegiatan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di daerah tersebut, diperlukan untuk membentuk komunitas belajar guru yang dapat memberikan wadah untuk berbagi praktik baik dalam mengelola kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui pengelolaan pembelajaran yang efektif di Kabupaten Sabu Raijua melalui pembentukan dan pembinaan komunitas belajar guru. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup identifikasi kebutuhan melalui wawancara dan survei, pembentukan komunitas belajar, sesi berbagi praktik terbaik, diskusi reflektif, serta pelatihan dan workshop yang relevan dengan konteks lokal. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru, serta kolaborasi yang lebih baik antar guru. Sebanyak 87% peserta merasa lebih percaya diri dalam menerapkan teknik pengajaran baru, dan 91% merasa lebih terhubung dengan rekan sejawat mereka. Selain itu, pembentukan komunitas belajar yang berkelanjutan diharapkan dapat terus memberikan dampak positif bagi kualitas pembelajaran di wilayah ini. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap peningkatan kompetensi guru dan kualitas pendidikan di Kabupaten Sabu Raijua.

Abstract

The Neno Bo'ha tradition is a form of postpartum care practiced for generations by the Dawan indigenous community. This tradition involves isolation for 40 days in a traditional house (ume kbubu), hot baths (tatobi), body fumigation (se'i), and certain food restrictions. This study aims to examine the dynamics of the existence of the Neno Bo'ha tradition amidst the development of modern health practices, as well as identify challenges and opportunities for integration between the two. The research used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), observation, and documentation, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques and source triangulation.Results show that Neno Bo'ha is still strongly practiced because it is believed to protect mothers and babies physically and spiritually. However, this practice presents a number of health challenges such as poor sanitation, infections, nutritional disorders, stunting, and delays in medical access. On the other hand, adaptations have begun to emerge within the community such as the involvement of midwives in care, ritual modification, and health education through traditional leaders. The study concludes that collaborative and culture-based approaches are more effective in increasing community acceptance of modern health practices. Integration of local cultural values with context-sensitive health education is a strategic key to improving the quality of maternal and child care in indigenous areas.

Abstract

PjBL and STEM learning models can overcome the lack of critical thinking skills and collaboration. Those learning models involve 4C that support students’ critical thinking skills and collaboration. This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of STEM-based PJBL models on students’ critical thinking skills and collaborative attitudes. This study was quantitative research with a descriptive method. The data had been collected using a critical thinking skills test, collaborative attitude questionnaires, and learning observation guidelines. Before performing data analysis, the researchers performed prerequisite tests consisting of the normality test, homogeneity test, variance-covariance matrix homogeneity test, N-Gain test, and effectiveness test. The basic assumption test results showed that the MANOVA test could be performed. The MANOVA test results revealed that the STEM-based PjBL learning model effectively improved students' critical thinking skills and collaborative attitudes.
