Abstract

This paper has a purpose, to discuss the thought of Islamic education according to Fazlur Rahman with an education currently developing. He is a modern Islamic thinker who has the idea of combining general knowledge with Islamic knowledge by inserting Islamic education into secular education. Thus, a person will gain balanced knowledge. Data is collected using library research methods, analyzing Fazlur Rahman's thoughts and their current relevance. From the research results, it can be concluded that Fazlur Rahman's thoughts are relevant to Islamic education in Indonesia. The harmony can be seen in Islamic education because both have the same goal: an effort or process to produce dignified and integrative human beings. In terms of educational methods, it should go up to the stage of understanding and analyzing, not just the stage of memorizing. Regarding the education system, Fazlur Rahman gave the idea not to reject the Western education system. It is intended that Islamic education in Indonesia can dialogue and collaborate with other disciplines. Furthermore, educators are interpreted as people responsible for students' development by seeking the development of all potentials of students, both effective, cognitive, and psychomotor potentials. This must be supported by educational facilities in the form of educators, residents, budget, facilities, and infrastructure.   Keywords: Islamic Education, Dichotomy, Modernity, Fazlur Rahman

Abstract

Abstract:This paper discusses the contribution of Muslim scientists in developing civilization. This is analyzed using the lens of the unity of science paradigm. A scientist must have critical analysis, research, and make various efforts for the development of Islamic science in globalization. Through this method, the chosen strategy is to develop scientific integration that can be taken for the development of knowledge that has been unable to dialogue with religion. Paying attention to inter-scientific relations without sacrificing autonomy between each scientific discipline and paying attention to the religious dimension of the Indonesian nation. Abstract

This paper discusses the moderation attitude to counter radicalism in Indonesia. Why is this research interesting to discuss? Fundamentalism is dammed by education and understanding of diversity. Therefore, the author offers the thoughts and personality of Ibn Rushd. In historical records, Ibn Rushd is a scholar who never attacks personally and accuses his opponents of infidelity. The moderation attitude showed by Ibn Rushd can be used as a model for character building for Muslims today. In terms of methodology, this article is of library research type. Furthermore, the writer digs up data from Ibn Rushd’s books and uses a philosophical approach with content analysis or hermeneutics. According to Ibn Rushd, a scholar must have several essential moderation personalities. There are three parts: before, in, and after thinking. Before thinking, a scholar must have an open, honest, curious, sceptical, courageous, and patient personality. Scholars’ personality in thinking is speculative, willing to be guided by experience and reason, willing to accept, ready to face mistakes and dare to make decisions. Abstract

Abstract This paper discusses the paradigm of thinking of PAI teachers in the era of disruption. Science as the main capital that must be held by a teacher. In this era of disruption, of course there must be an effort to develop Islamic knowledge located in the hands of PAI teachers. A PAI teacher may be passive. He must always think, research and make various efforts for the development of Islamic science in the midst of globalization. In this way, the task of the chosen strategy is to develop scientific integration that can be taken to develop knowledge that has been less able to dialogue with religion. Abstract

Abstract Educational democracy is a very important process because it will provide equal educational opportunities to all, regardless of race (ethnicity), creed, skin color and social status. The principles of democracy can be implemented in the Islamic education system because basically Islam gives freedom to individuals (students) to develop natural values that exist within themselves in line with the times. In this study, it discusses the relevance of Democratic Islamic Education in Surah Ali Imron 159. In this surah there are implicit democratic concepts such as gentleness and deliberation or communication within organizations. In the verse, it explains the steps of deliberation. Namely, being gentle, forgiving other deliberation participants, asking for their forgiveness and putting trust in after the deliberation. In this article, we will present a view of the democratic concept in Islamic education. Keywords: Education, Democratic, Islamic Education Abstrak Demokrasi pendidikan merupakan proses yang sangat penting karena akan memberikan kesempatan pendidikan yang setara kepada semua, tanpa memandang ras (suku), keyakinan, warna kulit dan status sosial. Prinsip demokrasi dapat diterapkan dalam sistem pendidikan Islam karena pada dasarnya Islam memberikan kebebasan kepada individu (peserta didik) untuk mengembangkan nilai-nilai kodrati yang ada dalam dirinya sejalan dengan perkembangan zaman. Dalam kajian ini membahas tentang relevansi Pendidikan Islam Demokratis dalam Surah Ali Imron 159. Dalam surah ini terdapat konsep demokrasi yang tersirat seperti kelembutan dan musyawarah atau komunikasi dalam organisasi. Dalam ayat tersebut dijelaskan langkah- langkah musyawarah. Yakni, bersikap lembut, memaafkan peserta musyawarah lainnya, meminta maaf dan menaruh kepercayaan setelah musyawarah. Pada artikel kali ini, kami akan menyajikan pandangan tentang konsep demokrasi dalam pendidikan Islam. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan, Demokrasi, Pendidikan Islam

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the opposition of a rural community at Kedungbanteng, Paguyangan, Brebes in responding to the pace of modernity, which tends to degrade human morality as its main actor. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. This study uses the interview method with structured interview guidance and participatory observation. A combination of several existing techniques carried out the data collection. Those techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, to test the validity of the data, three methods were used: source triangulation, technical triangulation, and time triangulation. It was found that the opposition applied by society in responding to the fundamental changes due to modernization was using zuhud behaviour. Specifically, these oppositions were manifested by eliminating materialism, increasing the caution of seeking sustenance (wirai), and firmly rejecting the formalist tradition diversity (fikih oriented). The zuhud movement can be carried out because a charismatic figure initiated it. In addition, what is quite prominent is the tomb pilgrimage to certain tombs believed to be the tombs of local ancestors and kyai. Pilgrimage can increase awareness that life exists in the world and in the grave; there is also life in the afterlife. So that someone will be careful and prepare provisions for the next life. The emphasis is on the spiritual practice of religious teachings rather than studying texts. So rarely try to find arguments as the basis of certain practices. (Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap resistensi kelompok masyarakat di Dusun Kedungbanteng, Desa Paguyangan, Kab. Brebes dalam menanggapi laju modernisasi yang dewasa ini cenderung menurunkan moralitas manusia sebagai aktor utamanya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi transendental. Penelitian ini juga dilengkapi dengan metode wawancara serta pedoman wawancara terstruktur, serta observasi partisipatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggabungkan beberapa teknik yang ada. Teknik-teknik tersebut adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan untuk menguji keabsahan data digunakan tiga metode yaitu triangulasi sumber, triangulasi teknis, dan triangulasi waktu. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa resistensi yang dilakukan masyarakat dalam menyikapi perubahan mendasar akibat modernisasi adalah praktik zuhud. Lebih khusus lagi, secara praktis resistensi ini dimanifestasikan oleh; menghilangkan paham materialis, meningkatkan kehati-hatian dalam mencari rezeki (wirai) dan sangat menentang tradisi agama formalis (berorientasi fikih). Gerakan zuhud tersebut dapat terlaksana karena diprakarsai oleh sosok yang kharismatik. Selain itu, yang cukup menonjol adalah ziarah makam ke makam-makam tertentu yang diyakini sebagai makam para leluhur dan kyai setempat. Ziarah dapat meningkatkan kesadaran bahwa hidup ada di dunia dan di alam kubur; ada juga kehidupan di akhirat. Sehingga seseorang akan berhati-hati dan mempersiapkan bekal untuk kehidupan selanjutnya. Penekanan terdapat pada pengamalan spiritual ajaran agama daripada mempelajari teks. Sehingga jarang mencoba mencari argumentasi sebagai dasar dari praktek-praktek tertentu.)

Abstract

Based on the mosque management strategy, which aims to increase religious activities, we can show the world that we are not allergic to culture and country. The formation of such a mindset can be carried out broadly through good mosque management. This study aims to determine a good direction in increasing religious activities in mosques. This study used a qualitative descriptive method and data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used Creswell's qualitative analysis. In mosque management, which aims to increase religious activities in mosques, several things are found: a) There are values still held by the community from traditions and religious activities in the Baitul Muttaqin mosque. These values include religious values and tolerance values; b) The community views the imam of the mosque as waliyul ilmi forming a moderate and tolerant character in society, while the community views the imam of the mosque from the perspective of da'wah in the form of community empowerment as a form of economic development for the environment, c ) Enculturation carried out by the community around the Baitul Muttaqin mosque in various ways, including through the field of TPQ education, trading in the form of stalls around the mosque, as well as maintaining oral speech which until now has been used in behavior and attitudes determines the good or bad of an Reaction.oral speech which until now has been used in behavior and attitudes determines the good or bad of an action.(Berpijak dari strategi manajemen masjid yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kegiatan keagamaan, kita bisa menunjukkan kepada dunia bahwa Islam tidak alergi terhadap budaya dan negara. Pembentukan pola pikir tersebut dapat dilakukan secara luas melalui pengelolaan masjid yang baik. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manajemen yang baik dalam meningkatkan kegiatan keagamaan di masjid. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif Creswell. Pada manajemen masjid yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kegiatan keagamaan di masjid secara umum dalam pendidikan Islam ditemukan beberapa hal: a) Adanya nilai-nilai yang hingga kini masih dipegang oleh masyarakat dari tradisi dan kegiatan keagamaan di masjid Baitul Muttaqin. Nilai-nilai tersebut diantaranya nilai religi, serta nilai toleransi, b) Perspektif masyarakat terhadap imam masjid dari segi dakwah berupa pemberdayaan masyarakat sebagai wujud pengembangan ekonomi kepada lingkungan, sedangkan perspektif masyarakat terhadap imam masjid sebagai waliyul ilmi membentuk karakter moderat dan toleran di masyarakat, c) Enkulturasi yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat di sekitar masjid Baitul Muttaqin dengan melalui berbagai cara, di antaranya melalui bidang pendidikan TPQ, perdagangan berupa warung di sekitar masjid, serta menjaga ucapan lisan yang hingga kini dijadikan dalam berperilaku dan bersikap menentukan baik buruknya suatu tindakan.)

Abstract

The use of ships as transportation vessels has a relatively low accident rate due to the incorporation of prevention and mitigation facilities in ship construction. However, with the increasing demand and variety of ships, the need for electrical energy on board fluctuates significantly. Utilizing ship power generators can harness solar energy as an alternative source of electrical energy. Indonesia's solar energy potential is approximately 4.8 kWh/m2, covering regions across the country. Therefore, the research team aims to develop the KISAT SAKSI (Bright Solar Fishing Boat, Leak Threat Sensor System) energy. Solar energy is abundant near the equator and available throughout the year, except during rainy seasons. Solar energy can be used as an alternative to traditional, increasingly limited, and expensive energy sources. The data contained in this document are derived from publications, manufacturers, relevant government agencies, scientific literature, and other sources. Solar energy utilization as electrical energy can be achieved by installing solar panels on ships. The generated electrical energy can power ship propellers, electrical equipment, be used for ship lighting at night, or serve as a leak detection tool for fishing boats. The utilization of solar power systems can also have positive impacts on fishermen, including enhancing health, economics, environmental sustainability, and fostering independent fishermen.

Abstract

This study analyzes and explores mosque management from the perspective of grassroots social movements within Muhammadiyah. Through observable phenomena, the author elaborates on the theory of social movements within mosques affiliated with Muhammadiyah. This qualitative descriptive research was conducted at Al-Khuzaemah Grand Mosque in Pekalongan Regency. The study involved six informants, including mosque officials, organizational leaders, and Muhammadiyah sympathizers. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using transcendental phenomenological analysis by Van Kaam. The study’s findings indicate that Muhammadiyah members substantially embrace the concept of religious moderation. The social movement within Al-Khuzaemah Mosque begins with a commitment to integrate with the surrounding community, regular religious study gatherings, training for Muhammadiyah cadres, the selection and invitation of external speakers, and consistent adherence to Muhammadiyah’s values in preaching while respecting the religious practices of other groups. As a result, a grassroots social movement emphasizing religious moderation has substantively emerged.

Abstract

This research aims to examine and analyze the success of the Prophet Muhammad SAW's preaching in Medina, so that this success includes the character values taught by the Prophet Muhammad SAW as the main role model for Muslims. This research is qualitative literature research with a historical approach. So data collection was carried out by examining historical texts through books, journals and other documents relevant to the study topic, and then presented descriptively.  Data collection was carried out by examining historical texts through books, journals and other documents relevant to the study topic, and then presented descriptively. The results of this research show that the success of the Prophet Muhammad's preaching in Medina cannot be separated from the prophet's humanist behavior, obedience to Allah SWT, ukhuwah, peace and unity. Meanwhile, in cultivating these character values, mentoring, stories and example methods can be used.
