Abstract

This study aims to analyze innovative learning methods in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) that strengthen students’ spiritual and social competencies in the digital era. The research employs a literature review method by examining books, scholarly articles, and reputable online sources published in the last decade. The findings show that digital-based PAI learning encourages interactive, contextual, and collaborative learning through multimedia, gamification, digital literacy, and project-based learning. These innovations are proven to enhance students’ motivation, critical thinking, ethical awareness, and internalization of Islamic values. Furthermore, the study identifies challenges such as digital inequality, low teacher digital literacy, and ethical risks in online interaction, which may hinder students’ spiritual development. The results also highlight the important role of teachers as designers of digital learning who integrate Islamic ethics into learning activities. In conclusion, the study emphasizes that digital innovation in PAI must balance technological advancement with spiritual and moral formation, ensuring that students develop not only digital competence but also strong Islamic character and responsible social behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of bullying on the psychological development of children at the primary education level, with the perspective of Q.S. Al-Hujurat verse 11. Bullying can harm children's psychological development in emotional, social, and character-building aspects. The verse teaches the importance of mutual respect and avoiding behavior that degrades others, which is relevant in addressing bullying in the school environment. The research method used is qualitative, with a literature review approach and text analysis. Data was gathered through a review of literature related to bullying and the interpretation of Q.S. Al-Hujurat verse 11. This study also involves observations regarding bullying behavior in primary school settings. The results indicate that bullying can lead to psychological disturbances in children, such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and difficulties in building social relationships. The perspective of Q.S. Al-Hujurat verse 11 offers social ethical values that emphasize the importance of maintaining harmony among individuals and avoiding behaviors that can harm social relationships. The conclusion of this study is that character education based on Quranic values, particularly those contained in Q.S. Al-Hujurat verse 11, can serve as a strong foundation for preventing and addressing bullying in primary schools. Efforts to prevent bullying through the development of character that emphasizes respect and mutual appreciation should be implemented in primary education to protect the psychological development of children.

Abstract

Digitalisasi studi Islam di era Society 5.0 merupakan langkah penting dalam mengadaptasi pendidikan Islam dengan perkembangan teknologi dan kebutuhan generasi digital. Integrasi platform pembelajaran daring (LMS), media interaktif berbasis multimedia, dan kecerdasan buatan (AI) meningkatkan fleksibilitas, efisiensi, dan interaktivitas dalam proses pembelajaran, memungkinkan peserta didik mengakses pengetahuan Islam secara lebih luas. Transformasi digital ini tidak hanya mempermudah penyebaran literatur keislaman, tetapi juga memungkinkan peserta didik untuk terlibat dalam diskusi global dan mengeksplorasi berbagai perspektif dalam ajaran Islam. Namun, implementasi digitalisasi menghadapi beberapa tantangan, seperti ketimpangan infrastruktur digital antara daerah perkotaan dan terpencil, rendahnya literasi digital di kalangan pengajar, serta perlunya peningkatan standar etika dan keamanan informasi. Meskipun demikian, digitalisasi memiliki potensi besar untuk memperkaya pengalaman pendidikan dengan menjadikan studi Islam lebih aksesibel, inklusif, dan menarik. Transformasi ini mendukung pengembangan generasi yang cerdas digital, beretika, dan memiliki pengetahuan, siap menghadapi tantangan global yang semakin kompleks.

Abstract

Sleep is a part of Allah's creation system that has biological, mental, and spiritual dimensions. The purpose of this research is to explain the meaning and wisdom of sleep in the Qur'an through a thematic interpretation approach, exploring its philosophical values and functions as a divine law that maintains the balance of the physical and spiritual aspects, as well as assessing its relevance to modern life. The method used is descriptive-analytical qualitative research based on literature studies. The primary data consists of verses from the Qur'an related to sleep (naum) along with explanations from Tafsir Al-Munīr, Al-Marāghī and Al-Mishbah. The secondary data includes supporting literature and scientific publications (books, journals, theses and dissertations). The analysis is conducted by grouping verses related to sleep, then interpreting their meanings, functions and wisdom from biological, spiritual and theological perspectives. The results of the study show that the Qur'an depicts sleep as a divine mechanism for physical recovery, inner peace and a reminder of human limitations. QS. Al-Baqarah [2]:255 emphasizes the perfection of Allah swt who does not sleep; QS. Al-Furqān [25]:47 explains sleep as a means of recovery and QS. Al-Nabā’ [78]:9 describes it as a time for total rest. Through thematic interpretation, sleep is understood to have multidimensional functions and remains relevant in shaping a healthy, harmonious and balanced lifestyle in the modern era.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the concepts of tartil and tilawah in the Qur'an and to identify the values contained within them through a thematic interpretation (maudhu’i) approach. The phenomenon of Qur'an recitation in society still tends to focus more on technical aspects, such as fluency and the beauty of the recitation, while the aspects of understanding and internalizing Qur'anic values have not become a primary concern. The method used is qualitative research with a literature study approach, with the main data consisting of Qur'anic verses related to tartil and tilawah, such as QS. al-Muzzammil [73]: 4, QS. al-Furqān [25]: 32, QS. al-Baqarah [2]: 121 and 129, QS. Fāṭir [35]: 29, QS. Āli ‘Imrān [3]: 113, QS. Yūnus [10]: 61, and QS. an Naml [27]: 92, which are analyzed through Tafsir Ibnu Katsīr, Tafsir al-Mishbah, and Tafsir al Jalālain. The results of the study indicate that tartil means reading the Qur'an slowly, orderly, and in accordance with the rules of tajwid, while tilawah encompasses reading accompanied by understanding, contemplation (tadabbur), and the practice of Qur'anic values. The values contained within it include precision, devotion, sincerity, faith, and moral responsibility. This research emphasizes that tartil and tilawah serve not only as reading techniques but also as means of fostering Qur'anic character that touches upon spiritual, intellectual, and social dimensions.

Abstract

The teaching of Maharah Kalam to tenth-grade students at MA Raudhatul Ulum Sakatiga still faces obstacles in the form of low confidence in speaking, lack of creativity in developing verbal ideas, and minimal opportunities for students to actively practice Arabic communication. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Chain Story method in improving students' speaking skills (Maharah Kalam). The research used a mixed method approach with a sequential explanatory design, involving quantitative measurements through pre-tests and post-tests as well as N-Gain analysis, which was then supported by qualitative data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the quantitative analysis show that the students' N-Gain scores ranged from 0.08 to 0.53 with an average of 0.2956, which is in the low category. This indicates that the improvement in students' speaking skills after participating in Chain Story learning is still relatively low, although it still shows positive development. Qualitative findings reinforce these results by showing an increase in students' courage to speak, increased participation, interaction between students, and creativity in composing chain stories. Thus, the Chain Story method has been proven to contribute to the improvement of Maharah Kalam, although it has not yet produced a high quantitative improvement. This method remains relevant as an alternative strategy for oral activity-based learning that encourages active and collaborative communication in Arabic language classes.

Abstract

This study aims to critically compare the conceptualization of ‘adab’ in Islamic education according to Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas and M. Amin Abdullah. Using a qualitative approach with critical literature study design, this research analyzes the epistemological, methodological, and practical differences between the two thinkers. The results show that al-Attas positions ‘adab’ as a metaphysical-cosmological foundation that restores the hierarchical order of knowledge and existence, while Abdullah reconstructs ‘adab’ as an integrative-interconnective ethics capable of dialoguing with plural and fragmented contemporary knowledge. Although both place ‘adab’ as the heart of transformative education, their approaches differ in source of authority, methodology, and orientation. This study offers a dialectical synthesis of both paradigms, proposing ‘adab’ as an epistemic compass in the digital era, a foundation for inclusive identity, and holistic ecological ethics. The research concludes that the reactualization of ‘adab’ requires a combination of strong metaphysical foundations (al-Attas) and flexible contextual methodologies (Abdullah) to address contemporary challenges without losing Islamic identity.
