Abstract

Abstract

Edutourism is a program where participants travel to a place or area in a group to engage in a learning experience that is directly related to the destination. This educational tourism activity is carried out at the Mini Agrotourism, owned by the Surabaya City Food Security and Agriculture Service (DKPP), on Jl. Pagesangan Timur. This activity aims to discover the role of mentoring in improving visitors' understanding of the agricultural sector. The educational visit process through Goldenmelon includes creating an account, filling in data, selecting a destination, and uploading an application letter online until it gets approval from the officer. After that, the visit is carried out with the assistance of an officer, followed by reporting activities and periodic evaluations to improve services. The DKPP Surabaya Mini Agrotourism is an educational tourism destination that offers interactive activities such as plant introductions, cultivation practices, and interactions with livestock for all ages. We carry out activities in a structured manner and conclude with a satisfaction survey to evaluate our services. Abstract

Balas Klumprik Grand Forest Park (Tahura) in Surabaya plays a strategic role in environmental conservation, ecological education, and urban sustainability. Amidst the rapid urbanisation of Surabaya, this forest park is designed to function as an integrated green space that combines conservation, education, and recreation. This study aims to comprehensively analyse the implementation of development strategies in the park, identify the challenges faced during their execution, and explore the potential for future optimisation. A qualitative descriptive method was used, supported by primary and secondary data obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that development efforts are translated into programs such as horticultural cultivation, plant propagation, and digital promotion. However, the implementation still faces challenges, including limited financial and human resources, low public participation, lack of infrastructure, and pressures from surrounding urban development. Despite these constraints, Tahura Balas Klumprik has strong ecological and social potential to become a centre of educational ecotourism and a hub for community-based environmental empowerment. This study provides several recommendations, including innovation in educational tourism programs, infrastructure improvements, and digitalization. Strengthening multi-stakeholder collaboration and sustainable management is essential to maximize the park’s role in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly goals 11 and 15. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the attitudes of melon farmers in Klotok Village toward the attributes of NPK 161616 fertilizer using the Multi-Attribute Fishbein method. Melon is a horticultural commodity with significant potential in Tuban Regency, a major melon producer in East Java. The research method involved 40 melon farmers as respondents, the data collected was questionnaires and observations. The results indicate that farmers have a positive attitude toward the fertilizer attributes, particularly in terms of brand and price. The brand attribute received the highest attitude score, followed by price, indicating that these two factors significantly influence farmers' purchasing decisions. Additionally, the legality and product information attributes also received considerable attention. This study recommends that fertilizer producers enhance information transparency and strengthen their brand to increase farmers' trust.

Abstract

Cepoko Village, Jombang Regency, is one of the rice production centers that produces large amounts of husk waste. So far, the waste has been burned or discarded, causing environmental problems and failing to provide added value to the community. This service activity aims to empower farmer groups by utilising rice husk waste to produce environmentally friendly board particles. The methods used include problem identification, technical training, production assistance, and participatory evaluation. The production process involves shredding the husk, mixing adhesive materials, pressing, and drying. The results of the activity demonstrate an increase in the community's understanding and technical skills in converting waste into products of economic value. The resulting board particles have the potential to be developed as alternative building materials. This program also has an impact on the growth of environmental awareness and the opening of local, resource-based business opportunities. This activity proves that appropriate technological approaches combined with participatory empowerment can encourage socio-economic transformation at the village level. Abstract

Tuna is an essential commodity in the fishing and marine due to its high economic value and ability to generate foreign exchange for the country. Analysis of the factors affecting Indonesia's tuna exports to Japan is very important based on Japan's position as the main export market for Indonesian tuna in order to help formulate effective policies in increasing the competitiveness and volume of Indonesian tuna exports. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of tuna fish production in Indonesia, the real price of tuna fish exports, and the real rupiah-US dollar exchange rate on the volume of Indonesian tuna fish exports to Japan. The data used is quantitative with secondary data sources from the United Nations Commodity Trade Statistics Database (Un Comtrade), Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), and Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan (KKP) from 2009 to 2023. Time series data for 15 years were analyzed using multiple linear regression models (Ordinary Least Square). The results showed that simultaneously, production variables, real prices, and real exchange rates had a significant influence on the volume of Indonesian tuna exports to Japan. However, partially, only the real exchange rate has a significant effect on export volume but the direction of the effect is negative, while production and real prices have no significant effect on export volume. Policy recommendations include enhancing production efficiency and product quality through fleet modernization and stronger processing capacity, stabilizing the rupiah exchange rate, and promoting the use of hedging instruments among tuna exporters. These measures aim to mitigate exchange rate risks and strengthen Indonesia’s tuna export competitiveness in high-value markets such as Japan.

Abstract

Fishermen are one of the coastal community groups that are vulnerable to economic uncertainty due to dependence on catch results and natural factors. Weather fluctuations, price changes, and limited access to production facilities often affect their income and welfare. In Klampis Village, the increase in the number of fishermen has not been followed by an increase in fish catch, leading to economic problems within fishermen households. This study aims to analyze household income and fishermen's welfare based on the Fishermen's Exchange Rate (NTN) in Klampis Village, Klampis Subdistrict, Bangkalan Regency. The research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with 60 respondents selected through simple random sampling from a total population of 150 fishermen. The analytical methods used include household income analysis and NTN calculation. The results show that the average household income of fishermen is IDR 3,585,718 per month, while the average expenditure reaches IDR 3,498,426 per month. The NTN value of 1.024 indicates that fishermen households are at an economic equilibrium point, with a surplus that has not yet been utilized for savings or long-term investments. Most income is still allocated to daily consumption and operational costs, resulting in weak long-term economic resilience.
