Abstract

General Background: Reading skills are a fundamental component of language learning in elementary education, particularly for developing students’ cognitive and affective abilities. Specific Background: Poetry, as a distinct literary form, demands specialized techniques for interpretation and expression, making it a challenging yet valuable medium in language instruction. Knowledge Gap: However, students often struggle with poetic comprehension and expression due to the lack of effective pedagogical strategies tailored to poetry reading. Aims: This study aims to analyze the implementation and effectiveness of the IMOD (Imitation Model) method in enhancing the poetry reading skills of fifth-grade elementary students. Results: Using a qualitative case study approach involving classroom observations, interviews, and documentation, the research found that IMOD significantly improved students' engagement and interpretative performance, especially for poems themed "my teacher", "my mother", and "my father". Novelty: The novelty of this research lies in demonstrating the practical integration of modeling techniques in poetry instruction, which fosters active participation and expressive reading among students despite limited learning facilities. Implications: These findings highlight the necessity of innovative and experiential teaching models in language education and suggest that structured imitation can be a powerful tool to cultivate poetic literacy in young learners.Highlight : IMOD (Imitation Model) method effectively enhances students’ poetry reading skills through modeling by teachers. The approach increases student engagement despite limited learning facilities. Implementation involves clear planning, expressive reading, and overcoming technical and performance challenges. Abstract

Indonesia has high cultural diversity, but this diversity often becomes a challenge in communication between individuals from different cultural backgrounds. Based on these problems, this study aims to analyze and improve students' diversity motivation by implementing the Independent Student Exchange Program (PMM) as part of universities' Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) policy. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The subjects in this study were 103 PMM student participants from various universities in Indonesia. Data were collected through a questionnaire with an assessment scale to measure students' level of diversity motivation. The results of the data analysis showed that the PMM program succeeded in creating a significant cross-cultural learning experience, marked by an average questionnaire score of 95%. This program encourages students to respect cultural differences, strengthen a sense of unity, and foster an inclusive attitude. The conclusion of this study shows that the Independent Student Exchange Program effectively increases diversity motivation among students. The implications of this study underline the importance of integrating diversity values ​​in the independent curriculum to form adaptive and tolerant student characters in facing the challenges of the era of globalization and the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Abstract

This study intends to assess how the principal implements academic supervision to enhance teacher performance in elementary schools. The primary objective of this study is to provide recommendations to schools regarding the implementation of supervision, whether there are aspects that need to be stopped, improved, or continued without changes. Secondary objectives include evaluation of the design, installation, process, and product of the supervision implementation. This study uses an evaluative approach with the Discrepancy Evaluation Model (DEM), which emphasizes identifying gaps between standards (Standard/S) and actual performance (Performance/P) in each implementation stage. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. In this study, the research subjects were the principal, vice principal, 18 teachers, 30 students, and 6 school committee members. The evaluation results show that at the design stage of supervision there are still gaps between standards and performance, especially in the systematic and realistic aspects, so that it is in the "Good" category. The installation stage, implementation process, and supervision product all demonstrate full conformity between standards and performance, resulting in a "Very Good" rating. Overall, the implementation of supervision is in the "Good" category.

Abstract

The intent of this study is to evaluate and measure the gaps in various components—design, installation, process, and product—so that it can provide information for improvement and development related to the Facilities and Infrastructure Standards in Building Educational Quality at Senior High School. The evaluation model approach used in this study is the Discrepancy Evaluation Model, developed by Malcolm Provus. This research method is a mixed method, not only qualitative, descriptive, and evaluative but also quantitative, and it combines both. The evaluation subjects were 12 people, including principals, vice principals, educators, parents, committees, and supervisors at Fatahillah Ciledug Senior High School, Tangerang City. The evaluation findings indicate that the gap or discrepancy in the design aspect is 70% according to the standard indicators of facilities and infrastructure, based on the reference criteria categorized as "High/Sufficiently Appropriate." For the installation aspect, the gap level is 75% on the standard indicators of facilities and infrastructure, which falls into the category of "High/Good." Additionally, there is a gap level of 37% on the same standard indicators, placing it in the category of "Medium/Good." For the process aspect, the gap level of 37% on the standard indicators of facilities and infrastructure with reference to the discrepancy/inequality reference criteria is included in the category of “Medium/Good,” and for the product aspect, the gap or inequality level is 39%. This rating is after consulting the reference criteria of discrepancy/inequality.

Abstract

Educational change requires teachers to be more digitally literate due to rapid technology development. This adjustment is difficult for some teachers, especially elementary school teachers. This research is driven by the principal's transformative leadership and managerial talents in guiding this transition. The purpose of this study is to analyze the principal's managerial strategy, how the principal improves teachers' digital literacy, teachers' perceptions of the principal's transformational leadership style, and the obstacles faced by teachers in improving digital literacy. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subjects consisted of the principal, teachers at various levels, and administrative staff. Data sources were obtained through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. The research instruments were interview guidelines and observation sheets. The data analysis technique used was the interactive model of Miles, who plays, which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity was maintained through triangulation techniques for data sources and methods. The findings of this study demonstrate that the principal has adopted a transformational leadership style by offering motivation, serving as a role model, and fostering collaboration among teachers. However, some teachers have encountered resistance due to age, time constraints, and a lack of confidence in using digital devices. School principals continue to make various efforts to overcome these obstacles so that teachers' digital literacy can improve sustainably.

Abstract

Elementary schools still have many problems, such as the need for more effectiveness in using models and media to improve reading skills. This study aims to determine the efficacy of a problem-based learning model with a letter card interactive media approach in enhancing the reading skills of grade II students. Type of research: Pre-experiment with a quantitative approach. The research design is One Group Pretest-Postest. The population of this study was all grade II students; 28 students of class II A were selected using the nonprobability sampling technique, a purposive sampling approach. Pre-tests and post-tests were given to determine the level of reading skills. The data collected was processed by paired sample t-test and effect size because the data was expected. This study concludes that using a problem-based learning model with a letter card interactive media approach is practical enough to improve reading skills in grade II. The sig value. 0.000 <0.05 indicates a difference before and after treatment, and the effect size test result is 0.298 with a reasonably effective category. Therefore, it is stated that the initial hypothesis is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis is accepted.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Letter Card, Reading Skills

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Educandy pada mata pelajaran matematika, khususnya materi pecahan, untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Educandy dipilih karena dapat memfasilitasi berbagai jenis permainan edukatif yang mendukung pembelajaran aktif, serta dapat diakses secara fleksibel baik di kelas maupun di luar kelas. Pengembangan media ini mengikuti model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), yang melibatkan analisis kebutuhan pembelajaran, perancangan media, pembuatan materi, serta uji coba produk untuk mengetahui efektivitas dan kualitasnya. Hasil pengujian terhadap media pembelajaran ini menunjukkan bahwa media berbasis Educandy dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa, memperkuat pemahaman konsep pecahan, dan membantu siswa untuk lebih mudah mengingat materi. Berdasarkan evaluasi, media ini layak digunakan sebagai alat bantu dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah. Dengan demikian, pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Educandy diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif inovatif yang mendukung proses belajar mengajar, khususnya pada materi pecahan.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Assemblr Edu learning media with the RADEC learning model for implementing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in Elementary Schools. This research used the R&D (Research and Development) method with the 4D model. The research subjects consisted of material validators, media validators and 58 students. The data collection instrument used in this research was a questionnaire which was then analyzed descriptively qualitative and quantitative. The results of this study indicated that Assemblr Edu learning media based on the results of material validation obtained 97% with a very feasible category, and the results of media validation obtained 92% with a very feasible category. Educators could apply the results of the Assemblr Edu learning media development in implementing P5 with the RADEC learning model in elementary schools. This research makes a significant contribution to the education field, especially in utilizing Assemblr Edu technology and the RADEC learning model in elementary schools. In practice, it can enrich the literature on technology-based learning and educational innovation to improve the quality of high-quality learning.

Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) dan Artificial Intelligence (AI) telah menjadi bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika saat ini. Tujuan riset ini mengetahui seberapa jauh kemampuan guru matematika dalam memanfaatkan AR dan AI dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru-guru matematika yang telah menggunakan AR dan AI dalam proses pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini karena dapat memberikan gambaran dan deskripsi yang lengkap. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan deskripstif kualitatif yang membantu peneliti memberikan penguatan atas temuan yang di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa AI dan AR sangat membantu guru dalam pembelajaran matematika yang lebih berkualitas. Tantangan terbesar pembelajaran matematika berbasis AI dan AR yaitu proses penyiapan pembelajaran yang sangat membutuhkan waktu tetapi disisi lain, kegiatan persiapan pembelajaran yang sangat membutuhkan waktu, tenaga, dan modal yang tidak sedikit masih belum diperhitungkan sebagai beban kinerja guru.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh tim, dilaksanakan di SDN Satu Atap 01 Pulau Pari, Kepulauan Seribu, dengan diikuti 24 peserta didik. Kegiatan tersebut dilakukan dengan melangsungkan proses pembelajaran IPAS yang dibantu dengan media pembelajaran Diorama, dengan tujuan agar semangat belajar peserta didik dapat meningkat. Berdasarkan survei kepuasan yang diberikan kepada 24 peserta didik yang menjadi partisipan, maka hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan 25% puas dan 75% sangat puas terhadap penggunaan media Diorama pada pembelajaran IPAS
