Abstract

Particleboard is a composite wood that still relies on wood from natural forests. Research on the manufacture of particleboard using ligno-cellulosic fibrous material other than wood namely agricultural waste in the form of bagasse and corn stalks using urea-formaldehyde adhesive has been carried out, aiming to obtain information about the characteritic of the resulting particleboard. Particles from bagasse and corn stalks were dried in an oven to a moisture content of 5%. The particleboard density target was made 0.7 g/cm3, using liquid urea formaldehyde (UF) adhesive, with a pressurization process of 12 kg/cm2 at 140°C for 10 minutes. After being conditioned for 7 days, the particle board was made a test sample. The results showed that the particleboard made of bagasse and corn stalks had a density of 0.64 g/cm3 and 0.67 g/cm3, respectively, including medium density, so that they could be used for space insulation, furniture. The development of thickness, MOR and MOE of the manufactured particleboard is significantly influenced by the type of raw material. Moisture content, density and MOR of bagasse particle board are in accordance with SNI standards, while on corn stalk particle board are water content and density.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine and analyze the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and intensity of Research and Development (R&D), which is expected to improve firm value and stock return on companies that go public on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The populations of this research are companies go public on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The samples of this research 25 companies that go public, which are observed at 2010, 2011, and 2012. The results of this research generally indicate that (1) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) have a significant positive effect towards firm value, (2) Intensity of research and development (R&D) have a significant positive effect towards firm value, (3) firm value have a significant positive effect towards stock return, (4) foreign ownership is able to act as a moderating variable in raising corporate socialresponsibility (CSR) and firm value, (5) foreign ownership is not able to act as a moderating variable in raising intensity of research and development (R&D) and firm value.

Abstract

Dewasa ini permintaan bibit ayam joper yang merupakan hasil persilangan ayam ras petelur final stock dengan ayam lokal jantan mengalami peningkatan terus dari tahun ke tahun. Ayam joper mempunyai banyak keunggulan yaitu pertumbuhannya yang lebih cepat dengan FCR maksimal diangka 3 pada akhir panen berat 1 kg, postur tubuh ayam lebih besar dari ayam kampung asli serta karakteristiknya tentang ketahanan penyakit dan pakan sederhana bisa berkembang, kualitas dagingnya mirip ayam kampung asli. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh dan level penambahan kecambah kacang hijau (Phaseolus radiatus) terhadap fertilitas, daya tetas, dan berat (Day Old Chick) DOC, hasil inseminasi buatan. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 45 ekor hyline – brown betina umur 30 minggu dan 3 ekor jantan lokal umur 1,5 tahun. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut menguji P0 (tanpa pemberian kecambah kacang hijau) sebagai kontrol, P1 (30 gram kecambah kacang hijau) dan P2 (40 gram kecambah kacang hijau). Variabel yang diukur adalah fertilitas telur, daya tetas telur, dan berat DOC. Metode analisis data mengunakan ANOVA dan apabila terjadi perbedaan nyata selanjutnya akan diuji dengan uji jarak berganda Duncans. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penambahan kecambah kacang hijau berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap fertilitas, daya tetas, dan berat DOC. Hasil uji lanjut Duncan menunjukkan adanya perbedaan di setiap perlakuan. P0 berbeda nyata dengan P1 yang memiliki fertilitas tertinggi. Sementara daya tetas dan berat DOC tertinggi pada perlakuan P2. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini adalah penambahan kecambah kacang hijau meningkatkan sebanyak 30 gram/ekor dua kali dalam seminggu, dengan umur perkecambahan kacang hijau 48 jam dapat ,meningkatkan fertilitas, daya tetas telur, dan berat DOC hasil inseminasi buatan.

Abstract

Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDES) are institutions established with the aim of improving the welfare of society through the development of productive economic enterprises and other sectors. Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDES) are growing over time with various new innovations that have been implemented to attract community interest. This study aims to determine the effect of product diversity, shopping experience, and service quality on consumers' repurchase decisions at BUMDES Krowe stores. The research method used is a quantitative method using primary data and secondary data. The data analysis method used is instrument test, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, t test, and F test. The results show that: (1) product variety partially has a significant effect on repurchase decisions. This shows that the availability of a variety of products will increase repurchase decisions. (2) shopping experience partially has a significant effect on repurchase decisions. This shows that a good shopping experience will increase repurchase decisions. (3) service quality partially has a significant effect on repurchasing decisions. This shows that the existence of optimal service quality will increase repurchase decisions. (4) product variety, shopping experience, and service quality simultaneously affect repurchase decisions. These three variables have an important role in influencing repurchase decisions, where the availability of a variety of products, a good shopping experience, and optimal service quality will jointly influence repurchase decisions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor penyebab klaim Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk melakukan analisis pada pengaruh kualitas layanan dan kemudahan penggunaan aplikasi terhadap kepuasan pelanggan Sociolla, platform e-commerce kecantikan di Indonesia. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kausal digunakan, melibatkan 124 responden yang memenuhi kriteria diperoleh melalui purposive sampling. Hasil menyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh secara signifikan antara kualitas layanan dan kemudahan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat membantu Sociolla dalam meningkatkan layanan dan aplikasi untuk mengoptimalkan tingkat kepuasan pelanggan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Provider Network Quality, Company Reputation and E-Service on Brand Switching. Brand switching itself is done by leaving old products and replacing new products. This research is a quantitative research, multiple linear regression analysis is used in this research. The data in this study uses primary data, namely data obtained based on student Telkomsel card users. The population of this study were students of the Muhammadiyah Ponorogo University management study program class of 2018. The number of respondents who met the criteria was 51 respondents. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire with a Likert scale which had five alternative answers. Validity test is calculated using the product moment formula, while the reliability test uses Croncbach's Alpha formula and hypothesis testing uses multiple linear regression. According to the results of this study, it has a partial positive and significant effect on the Provider Network Quality (X1) and E-Service (X3) variables, while for Company Reputation (X2) it partially produces negative research. as well as all variables by simultaneously producing a significant value. This study produces a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.63 and a coefficienta determination of 0.397. This means that the ability of the independent variables consisting of Provider Network Quality, Company Reputation, and E-Service in explaining the dependent variable Brand Transfer is 39.7% and the remaining 60.3% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to determine the effect of various layer compositions on the properties of 3-layer vertically glued laminated bamboo beam (LBB). Bamboo strips for LBB fabrication were prepared from mature culms (± 4 years old) of andong bamboo (Gigantochloa pseudoarundinacea (Steud.) Widjaja) collected from private gardens in West Java. The strips were pre-treated by soaking them in 7% boron solution for four hours. Three-layer LBBs were manufactured with six different layer compositions, including bamboo combination with wood planks of manii (Maesopsis eminii Engl.) or sengon (Falcataria moluccana (Miq.) Barneby & J.W. Grimes) as the core layer. The LBB was manufactured using Water Based Polymer-Isocyanate (WBPI) adhesive. The glue spread and cold pressing time applied were 250 g/m and one hour, respectively. Results showed that the average density, moisture content, thickness swelling, and width expansion of LBB were 0.65 g/cm ; 11.1%; 2.09%; and 1.99%, respectively. No delamination occurred in all samples using WBPI adhesive, which indicates high bonding quality. The average bonding strength and percentage bamboo failure (dry test) of LBB were 61.6 kg/cm and 90%, respectively. The physical and mechanical properties of LBB were significantly affected by the layer composition. The presence of wood laminates as the core layer of LBB and the cross wide orientation of the core layer decreased mechanical properties of LBB. On the contrary, the presence of cross-layer in LBB structure increased dimensional stability of the produced LBB.Three-layer thick laminated bamboo beam made of vertically glued andong bamboo strips with various constituted layer composition and all constitued layers laminated together in parallel grain direction had strength values comparable to those of class II of solid wood strength, eventhough the core layer was made of sengon or manii planks.

Abstract

Composite products made of rattan have a decorative value and potentially can be developed for current market demand. Rattan laminated board is expected to perform effective as a substitution material for wooden furniture. The aim of this research is to determine technology of making laminated rattan board from large rattan species which having diameter of more than 30 mm using phenol based adhesive from organic resources, i.e. bark (mangium, mahoni) and merbau sawdust. The laminated rattan board sizing of 1.5 cm x 7.5 cm x 90 cm were made of five layers which spreaded on one side of the surface and hot pressed with 10 kg/cm2 specific pressure for three hours. Testing of rattan laminated board products includes bonding strength and formaldehyde emissions, and also the bonding strength value of samples from the National Rattan Innovation Center (PIRNas) as a comparison. Results show that bonding strength and formaldehyde emissions of the rattan laminated board was influenced by interaction type of tannin-formaldehyde, pressing temperature, and glue spread. The best quality adhesive performance of rattan boards was obtained on the use of tannin-formaldehyde mangium resin with formaldehyde emissions with a glue spread of 200 g/m2 surfaces and 100oC pressing temperature, with formaldehyde emmision within the safe limits. Approximately 28% of the experimental rattan laminated boards possessed bonding strength which exceeds bonding strength value of the PIRNas board, which used synthetic resin based on the imported phenolic adhesive.

Abstract

The formulation of phenolic compounds extracted from biomass not only produces adhesives but can also be used as bioimpregnant. In this study, the synthesis was carried out by copolymerization of resorcinol (R) and formaldehyde (F) into the oilpalm bark extract (S) to produce SRF resin fluid. A complete characterization was carried out using FTIR, Py-GCMS, XRDand DTA. In addition, F emission was also undertaken to ensure its safety for health and the environment. The application ofbio-impregnant was done on samples of the hard (edge) and soft (middle) parts of the oil palm trunk. The results show that the oilpalm bark extract contains polyphenol components that have a strong affinity for resorcinol and formaldehyde in alkaline catalyst(NaOH 40%), so that it can form a copolymer that can be used as an impregnant. The application of the bio-impregnant canimprove the quality of the oil palm trunk in both parts from class V to class III of wood-strength classification with an increase indensity (>100%), hardness (4 times), thickness swelling in both cold and boiling water meets the requirements (<25%), as wellas formaldehyde emission that meets the standard SNI 03-2105-2006.

Abstract

Rattan has the potential to be developed into composite products with gluing technology into laminated rattan. However, as araw material, rattan has a weakness, namely that it contains chemical components that inhibit the adhesive bond with the chemicalmolecules of rattan. In an effort to overcome this, a technique for making composite rattan was carried out in order to obtain dataon the effect of pretreatment on rattan as a raw material. Rattan as a raw material is first dried by microwave, hydrothermalevaporation and conventional methods in order to reduce the levels of adhesive chemical components contained in rattan. This paperpresents the results of research on the technology of making laminated rattan from the Batang (Calamus zolingerii) large diameter(>20 mm) with mangium tannin adhesive. The results showed that the pre-treatment of rattan as a raw material in the form ofdrying by means of oven, steam, frying, hydrothermal, and microwave, each produced a different effect on the chemical componentscontained and the degree of crystallinity. The best rattan laminate board was obtained from rattan which was pretreated using a 1kW microwave oven (input) with a maximum energy strength of 50%.
