Abstract

Early childhood education is essentially education that is held to facilitate the growth and development of children as a whole or emphasize the development of all aspects of the child's personality, especially interpersonal aspects. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of ice breaking on the interpersonal development of early childhood. This study was used a quantitative approach or quasi-experimental research designs. The data collection method was used observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques was used the t-test with the help of SPSS 23.0 for windows. The results showed that there were differences in interpersonal abilities of young children before and after ice-breaking activities. The pretest value of interpersonal aspects of early childhood in the control and the experimental class has a probability value of 0.000 > 0.05. While the post - test interpersonal aspects of early childhood in the control class and the experimental class have a probability value of 0.000 < 0.05. Increased interpersonal aspects of early childhood before and after the ice-breaking activity around of 72.34%. It was concluded that the hypothesis was accepted that there was a significant increase in the development of interpersonal aspects of the age of 5-6 years through ice-breaking activities.

Abstract

This study aims to produce teaching materials to improve problem-solving skills that are feasible to use as a class XII physics learning media on sound wave material. In addition, it is also to find out the response of students to teaching materials developed in terms of meeting the standards of usability and quality. This research is R & D research with design according to Borg including: needs analysis, product planning and development, product development, product evaluation, and final products. The instructional materials developed have been implemented in 63 students of class XII SMAN 5 Semarang. Data collection is done by giving a validation sheet to the senior teacher. Data on students 'problem solving abilities were obtained from the results of the pretest and posttest while the students' performance was seen from the observation of practical activities in the laboratory. Students are also given a questionnaire to provide input on the teaching materials that have been developed. The results of the study indicate that the product of development is declared feasible based on expert judgment. Implementation of teaching materials in physics learning in sound wave material is able to improve problem solving skills and student performance.

Abstract

The existence of misconceptions could affect students? problem solving ability in physics subject. The source of misconceptions could be derived from the text books that used by the students, from the students itself, as well as from the teachers. One of the learning models that might reduce the misconceptions on the topic of light was worksheets-assisted by problem based learning model. The purpose of this study was to identify the misconceptions experienced by the students of SMP IT BinaAmal on the topic of light, to analize misconceptions on the topic of light, to identify the descriptions of the students? improvement on the concept of light, and to identify the worksheets-assisted problem based learning could develop the students? scientific attitudes. The research method used mixed methods research using sequential explanatory design with pre-test and post-test Control Group Design. The sample of this research was the IX grade students of Hafshoh bint Abu Bakar class, and the IX grade students of Zaenab bint Jahsyi at SMP IT BinaAmal Semarang. The instruments that used in this study were questions and observation sheets. Based on the calculation of problem-solving test, in the experimental class obtained a gain factor of 0.553 with medium criteria, while the control class produces a gain factor of 0.249 with low criteria. The initial t-test shows thitung (-1.55) <t table (1.68) that the experimental class is no better than the control class. The final t test shows thitung (2,481)> t table (1.68) that the experimental class is better than the control class after the LKS-assisted PBL learning model is used. A very strong relationship between conceptual mastery and the reduction of misconceptions. LKS-assisted PBL learning influenced the results of the decrease in student misconceptions from 55.1% to 19.5% in the experimental class and a decrease in misconception from 59.4% to 31.9% in the control class. Based on the results of cognitive tests, obtained a qualitative data analysis, misconception that occurred in SMP IT Bina Amal on the concept of light, among others: regular reflections and diffuse; shadow formation, shadow space and shadow properties, light propagation; light sources and human processes can see things; and the law of refraction. Based on the result of the research, it is found that the LKS-based problem-based learning model is effective to reduce light misconception.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pelaksanaan, menghasilkan produk, menguji validitas dan reliabilitas, serta menguji kepraktisan instrument. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan (Research & development) yang merupakan perbatasan dari pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pengembangan instrument mengacu pada model Djemari Mardapi. Instrument ini dirancang untuk mengukur psikomotor siswa dan instrument ini dibuat dalam bentuk aplikasi android. Hasil analisis data pada produk awal divalidasi oleh pakar untuk mendapatkan validitas isi. Selanjutnya, instrument diujicobakan secara terbatas kepada peserta didik di SMP Negeri 4 Pemalang dan diujicoba skala luas di SMP Negeri 5 Pemalang. Hasil uji coba instrument psikomotor tari selendang pemalang diukur validitas dengan rumus formula aiken’s V. selanjutnya uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus ICC. Instrument penilaian psikomotor tari selendang prmalang yang diukur adalah validitas dan reliabilitas. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa instrument penilaian psikomotor tari selendang pemalang yang dikembangkan valid, reliabel, praktis. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation, produce, test the validity and reliability, as well as test the practicality of the instrument. This research use approach (Research & Development), which is the border of qualitative and quantitative approaches. Instrument development refers to the model Djemari Mardapi. This instrument is designed to measure psychomotor students and this instrument is made in the form of android applications.The results of analysis of data on the initial products validated by an expert to get the content validity. Furthermore, the instrument tested on a limited basis to students at SMP Negeri 4 Pemalang and tested a wide scale SMP Negeri 5 Pemalang. The trial results pemalang shawl dance psychomotor instrument measured the validity of the formula V. aiken's subsequent reliability testing using the formula ICC. Psychomotor assessment instrument measured prmalang shawl dance is validity and reliability. The measurement results showed that the shawl dance psychomotor assessment instrument developed pemalang valid, reliable, practical.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil wawancara yang dilaksanakan kepada guru IPA di SMPN 22 Semarang diketahui bahwa lebih dari 75% siswa memperoleh nilai IPA belum melampaui kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM). Kegiatan belajar mengajar yang dilaksanakan belum menggunakan kurikulum 2013. Mata pelajaran IPA diampu oleh guru bidang studi, karena dasar pendidikan dan pengalaman guru bukan dari bidang studi IPA. Pembelajaran dilaksanakan belum mengoptimalkan media yang tersedia dan belum berpusat pada siswa sehingga kegiatan di dalam kelas membosankan. Kegiatan pembelajaran yang tidak berpusat pada siswa mengakibatkan penanaman nilai karakter rendah. Media yang dikembangkan adalah media permainan kartu UNO. Desain penelitian ini yaitu penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development). Terdapat dua tahap dalam penelitian ini, yaitu pengembangan media permainan kartu UNO dan tahap untuk menguji efektivitas yang dilaksanakan di kelas. Data diperoleh dari angket, tes hasil belajar, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Validasi dari ahli materi didapatkan nilai 94,2% dan ahli media didapatkan nilai 90,8%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media permainan kartu UNO efektif dilaksanakan di kelas yang ditunjukkan dengan ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar mencapai 79,31%, uji gain 0,56. Berdasarkan hasil observasi didapatkan karakter rasa ingin tahu siswa mendapatkan nilai 88,51%, kerja sama 87,36%, mandiri 83,91%, dan komunikatif 88,51% dengan kriteria membudaya. Sehingga media permainan kartu UNO dapat mengembangkan karakter siswa. Based on interview to the science teacher in SMP N 22 Semarang known that there are more than 75% students got score under minimum score criteria. The 2013 curriculum had not used by the school. Learning process had not implemented integratedly because teacher’s basic knowledge was only on one field study (biology or physics). The using of media in science learning had not been optimal. Students did not learning actively made students character in low quality. the media was made was UNO Card Game Media with theme optic. The design of this research was Research and Development (R &amp; D). This research had two phases, that were development of UNO card game media and research to know the effectiveness of media. The data was collected by questionnaire, evaluation test, observation, and documentation. UNO Card Game Media had been assessed by validator of content and media. The score was gotten by validator of content was 94.2%, from validator of media was 90.8%. This research shown that UNO Card Game Media was effective used in science learning that showed by minimal score criteria get 79.31%, gain test 0.56. Based on the observation of character, the curiousity got score 88.51%, team work got score 87.36%, independency got 83.91% and communicative ability 88.51%, was included in culturized criteria. Thus UNO Card Game Media was able to develop student character.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif Jigsaw IIberbantuan LKS terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan karakter siswa, serta untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap model pembelajaran tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu quasi experiment dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling, kelas VIII D (kelas eksperimen) yang diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran kooperatif Jigsaw IIdan kelas VIII C (kelas kontrol) yang diberi perlakuan metode diskusi dan tugas di SMP Negeri 1 Bergas. Data diambil dengan metode tes (pre-test dan post-test), observasi (karakter), dan angket (tanggapan tentang model dan penilaian diri). Hasil penilaian karakter didapatkan bahwapersentase nilai karakter siswa setiap pertemuan selalu meningkat.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata hasil belajar (post-test) kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol (81,30&gt; 77,94). Nilai N-gain kedua kelas masing-masing meningkat sebesar 0,57 dan 0,51 (kategori sedang). Ketuntasan klasikal kelas eksperimen (85%) &gt; kelas kontrol (68%). Dari uji hipotesis, diperoleh thitung&gt; ttabel (2,22&gt; 1,671). Rata-rata persentase karakter siswa kelas eksperimen (63%) yang masuk dalam kategori mulai berkembang lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol (49%) yang masuk dalam ketegori mulai terlihat. Dari uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung&gt;ttabel (4,09&gt; 1,67). Tanggapan siswa tentang model pembelajaran kooperatif Jigsaw II berbantuan LKS dinyatakan efektif. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif Jigsaw II berbantuan LKS efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan karakter siswa. The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of cooperative learning model Jigsaw II LKS assisted to improve understanding of the concept and value of student character and finding out of students rensponse. This study used a quasi experimental design, especially non-equivalent control group design. The samples of this study was grade VIII D (experiment)used cooperative learning model Jigsaw II and VIIIC (control) of SMPN 1Bergas, taken with purpossive sampling method. The data was taken by test method (pre-test andpost-test), observation (character of students), also questionnaire (students’ responses and self-assesment). The results showed that the average of experiment class is higher than the control ( (81.30 &gt; 77.94). This result proved by the t-test which achieved tvalue&gt; ttable (2.22&gt; 1.671). The N-gain value of both classes were increased by 0.57 and 0.51 (medium category). The classical completeness of experimental (85%) &gt; controls (68%). The average percentase of character students of experimental (63%) and control (49%). This result verified by the Mann-Whitney test which obtained tvalue&gt;ttable (4.09 &gt;1.67). The students’ responses about cooperative learning of Jigsaw II assisted LKS was effective . In conclusion, students in the experimental group had better understanding concept, and more positive value of character toward cooperative learning Jigsaw II.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah memberi pembekalan keterampilan pembuatan media CD pembelajaran berbasis excel dan power point bagi guru MA dan MTs di pondok pesantren Baitussalam Semarang. Subjek kegiatan adalah 20 guru (ustadz) pondok pesantren Baitussalam. Hasil uji Gain Faktor <g> menunjukkan grup penerima kegiatan memperoleh 0,59 (sedang) dan kelompok yang lain 0,48 (sedang), hasil ini menunjukkan perbedaan peningkatan kompetensi profesional. Berdasarkan data lembar observasi dapat dinyatakan bahwa skor 81 dan 80 telah dicapai kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Hal ini disimpulkan bahwa praktik pemanfaatan media telah diimplementasikan oleh guru dengan baik. Dengan demikian kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan para guru PP Baitussalam, sehingga guru diharapkan dapat memotivasi dan menciptakan iklim yang kondusif dalam kelas. Teknik presentasi mengajar di depan kelas (peerteaching) yang siswanya peserta diklat, dapat menciptakan berbag pengalaman dan kepekaan sosial dalam upaya peningkatan daya serap dan pemahaman yang benar terhadap konsep profesionalisasi dan pemahaman media pembelajaran, sehingga tidak terjadi kesalahan pemahaman konsep.

Abstract

This research aims to decide the quality scores of 21st century skill-based assessment instruments for high school students on the compiled static fluid material; describe the ability of scientific literacy as one aspect of 21st century student skills; and obtain mastery patterns of static fluid concepts. This research used Research & Development model. The research subjects are high school students with total sample of 70 students. The results showed that instrument is valid and high reliability. The results of difficulty index is moderate and the discrimination index is very good. The scientific literacy skills of high school students' on static fluid based on scores still has a very low scientific literacy ability of 58.6%. Understanding the concept of static fluid in high school students based on their scientific literacy abilities starting from the most easier to the difficult ones is the question in category 2 as a way of investigating, category 4 as an interaction of science, technology, and society, category 1 as a body of knowledge and category 3 as a way of thinking.

Abstract

Learning in 21st Century focuses on the development of students learning activities in order to increase their creativity through creative products. This study aims to describe the implementation of Project-based Learning model using STREAM-based approach (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) on students learning activities and the results of creative products made by students. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The data source was chosen using purposive sampling technique. The research subjects are 3 elementary schools in Banjarmasin city, amounting to 80 students. Data collection techniques were done through observation and product assesment. The results showed that the implementation of the PjBL model using STREAM-based approach had an effect on increasing the result of students learning up to 92.1 (very good), and their activeness in learning activities made them become more creative in designing an interesting product. In this study there were 4 creative products created by the students namely drip irrigation, water cycle, water quality test, and religious-based picture story booklets. The implication of this research is a great opportunity for teachers in elementary schools to use PjBL model using STREAM-based approach in order to increase students’ interest, creativity, and social attitudes in learning.

Abstract

This study aims is to determine the effectiveness of the guided discovery model in distance learning to improve students' scientific literacy competencies. The method used in this study was an experimental method with a pretest-posttest one group design. The research subjects were fifth grade students from three schools — Primary School A, Primary School B, and Primary School C — in Kudus Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. Sampling was determined using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques used scientific literacy tests. The data analyses used were paired sample t-test, one-way ANOVA test and n-gain test. The results of the paired sample t-test showed that there were significant differences in the mean scores of scientific literacy competences before and after the guided discovery model was applied. The one-way ANOVA test showed that there was a significant difference in the mean score between the three primary schools studied. Students at Primary School B, located in suburban area, scored the highest on average in scientific literacy competencies, followed by Primary School C students in urban area and Primary School A students in remote area. Based on the n-gain test, two primary school has high criteria with score 0.74 and 0.73 for school B and C, respectively. And the other one has moderate criteria for School A with n-gain score is 0.59. That means, guided discovery model is effective to improve the scientific literacy competencies on primary school student in Kudus Regency, Central Java, Indonesia.
