Abstract

Tanjung Dayang Utara is a village located in the South Indralaya sub-district, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. One of the most important inorganic fertilizers frequently used in agriculture is KCl, and considering its role in plant growth, it is crucial to increase the understanding of KCl application for plants. Organic fertilizers, such as chicken manure, are also added to the planting media to provide nutrients in addition to chemical fertilizers. The Bima Brebes variety of shallots are the crops grown in this study, and through this activity, information on shallots and fertilizer was provided, including preparing the planting media and the seedlings, planting, plant maintenance, and harvesting. This activity was carried out from July to September 2023. The activity is aimed at helping the residents of Tanjung Dayang Village comprehend the advantages, nutritional worth, and growth of shallots, as well as the proper techniques of growing shallots, particularly the Bima Brebes variety.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji dampak keberadaan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Bayu (PLTB) Sidrap, Sulawesi Selatan, terhadap masyarakat Desa Mattirotasi dan Desa Lainungan di Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap). Penelitian dilakukan melalui kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, pengamatan, dan dokumentasi dalam pengumpulan data. Pemilihan informan dilakukan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PLTB Sidrap memiliki dampak positif yang signifikan pada berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat. Dampak ekonomi mencakup ketersediaan energi listrik tambahan, peningkatan infrastruktur transportasi, dan pertumbuhan sektor bisnis. Dampak pembangunan manusia mencakup penciptaan lapangan kerja, terutama pada tahap konstruksi proyek. Dampak lingkungan mencakup penggunaan energi angin bersih, ketersediaan air bersih, minim limbah, sosialisasi lingkungan, dan perubahan positif dalam pemanfaatan lahan. Selain itu, PLTB Sidrap memberikan kontribusi pada peningkatan kesadaran lingkungan dan perubahan positif dalam budaya masyarakat sekitar. Pemerintah daerah juga meraih penghargaan untuk upaya mereka dalam mengurangi emisi Gas Rumah Kaca dan mendukung inisiatif lingkungan dan perubahan iklim. Dalam kesimpulan, PLTB Sidrap memiliki dampak positif yang signifikan dalam berbagai aspek pembangunan, yang mencakup ekonomi, pembangunan manusia, dan lingkungan hidup.

Abstract

Flavonoids are a group of polyphenolic compounds produced in plants as secondary metabolites. Flavonoids have favorable biochemical effects on multiple diseases and other bioactivities. This study aimed to isolate the active compounds contained in malacca (Phyllanthus emblica) leaves and analyze toxic properties using the Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method in Artemia salina leach shrimp larvae. This study used malacca leaf powder with ethyl acetate solvent then macerated. Ethyl acetate extract was concentrated and fractionated, then toxicity tests were carried out. Extracts from the evaporation results were further fractionated using solvent petroleum ether, diethyl ether, and ethyl acetate. Then the ethyl acetate fraction was hydrolyzed using reflagged with 7% sulfuric acid for two hours, then the filtrate was extracted with ethanol solvent. The obtained fraction washed with aquades and dried using a vacuum desiccator. The toxicity test results showed that the flavonoid compound of malacca leaves was not toxic with a value of LC50 > 1000 ppm, an increase in the concentration of the extract was followed by an increase in the average mortality of larvae.

Abstract

Masyarakat Desa Tanjung Pering tidak memiliki usaha ternak ayam, sehingga kebutuhan pupuk organik kotoran ayam yang dibutuhkan untuk bertanam sayuran dipasok dari luar desa dengan harga yang cukup tinggi, akibatnya biaya produksi sangat tinggi. Disisi lain di Desa Tanjung Pering banyak terdapat tanaman pisang. Faktor-faktor tersebut menimbulkan persoalan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat desa sebagai mitra yaitu 1] Mitra tidak memiliki sumber pupuk organik, dan 2] Belum ada pembinaan yang berkesinambungan cara membuat pupuk organik berbahan dasar tanaman dan aplikasinya pada budi daya sayuran. Tujuan kegiatan adalah melatih masyarakat tani di Desa Tanjung Pering untuk mampu membuat pupuk organik berbahan tanaman seperti batang pisang, sehingga dapat menyediakan sendiri pupuk organik. Manfaat kegiatan adalah 1] Masyarakat memahami cara membuat pupuk organik berbahan dasar batang pisang, 2] Masyarakat mampu mengaplikasikan pupuk organik berbahan tanaman pada budidaya Sayuran dan 3] Dapat mengurangi biaya produksi. Hasil kegiatan yang telah dilakukan masyarakat sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian pelatihan pembuatan kompos, dan hasil percobaan penggunaan kompos batang pisang sebagai campuran media tanam menunjukkan bahwa campuran media tanam yang tepat dari tanah, pupuk kendang dan kompos menghasilkan pertumbuhan beberapa tanaman sayuran yang lebih baik.

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).South Sumatra Province is a province with great swampland potential. One of the uses of lebak swamp land is by floating cultivation. Floating cultivation in this study used a raft made of 10 bamboos with a size of 2x1 M. This study aimed to determine the effect of npk fertilizer application on the growth and yield of land kale plants in a floating manner. This research was carried out Embung on the campus of Sriwijaya Indralaya University, from May to July 2022. The study was prepared using a Randomized Group Design (RGD) with 4 treatments, each treatment was repeated 3 times and received 12 treatment units, each treatment unit had 3 plants, so that the total number of plants was 36 plants. P0= Control P1= 0.5 g NPK/polybag P2= 1 g NPK/polybag P3= 1.5 g NPK/polybag. Observed parameters include plant height, number of leaves, degree of leaf greenness, leaf area, fresh weight of the crown, fresh weight of the leaves, fresh weight of the roots, length of the roots, dry weight of the crown, dry weight of the leaves and dry weight of the roots. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the administration of the recommended dose of NPK fertilizer P2 = 1 g NPK/Polybag gave the best results compared to other dose treatments.

Manure produced from farms is continuous as long as the farm operates. This will be a problem because it will pollute the surrounding environment. To overcome this problem, the potential of cow dung waste can be used as compost for horticultural crops such as red chili (Capsicum annum L). This study aimed to compare the growth and production of red chili (Capsicum annum L. var. Gada F1) with floating and non-floating systems at various doses of cow compost. The study started with the cultivation of red chili varieties of Gada F1 by applying compost at various doses with a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 3 replications. The dose of cow dung compost used is 300 g/5 kg of soil; 600 g/5 kg of soil; 900 g/5 kg soil; and 0 g/5 kg of soil as control. Data were obtained from the calculation of plant growth and production which included height, number of leaves, diameter of the crown, number of flowers, number of fruits, fruit length, fruit diameter, and fruit weight per plant and analyzed using ANOVA. If there is a significant difference, then it can be continued with the BNT test (Least Significant Difference). For the results of production observations which include fruit fresh weight, fruit length, and fruit diameter, an unpaired independent sample t-test was used. This t-test is used to compare the difference between the two means (means) of two independent samples with the assumption that the data are normally distributed.. With a non-floating system and application of cow compost at a dose of 900 g/5 kg of soil, it can provide the most optimal results for the production of red chili plants of the Gada F1 variety.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini sebagai upaya dalam menurunkan faktor pembatas penggunaan jerami padi sebagai pakan ternak. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Lapangan Peternakan (LLP) Universitas Syiah Kuala pada tanggal 15 Juli hingga 26 Agustus 2023. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Dimana metode amofer dilakukan dengan level lama pemeraman. Adapun Faktornya terdiri dari 4 perlakuan yang berbeda berdasarkan lama hari pemeraman (B0 = 0 hari, B1 = 7 hari ; B2= 14 hari ; B3= 21 hari). Setiap perlakuan terdiri dari 3 ulangan, sehingga diperoleh 16 unit perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan amofer pada jerami padi secara keseluruhan mampu mempengaruhi kualitas fisik jerami padi.

Abstract

Plastic waste is a type of waste that has economic value when processed properly, one of which is by converting it into fuel oil using the pyrolysis method. Pyrolysis of plastic waste involves the decomposition of materials at high temperatures without the presence of oxygen. This study aimed to examine the effect of the mixture of polypropylene (PP) plastic waste and low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic waste in the pyrolysis process on the quantity and quality of the oil products. The ratio of PP:LDPE was varied to 100 kg : 0 kg, 70 kg : 30 kg, 50 kg : 50 kg, and 30 kg : 70 kg. The pyrolysis was conducted at a temperature of 350ºC for 10 hours. The research results show that the highest yield value of 82.24% wt. is obtained at PP:LDPE ratio of 100 kg : 0 kg. Furthermore, the best pyrolysis oil products are obtained at PP:LDPE ratio of 70 kg : 30 kg. The gasoline, kerosene, and diesel fuel products have densities of 760 kg/m3, 776.4 kg/m3, and 873 kg/m3, respectively. Then, the gasoline and diesel fuel have calorific values of 10,836 cal/g and 10,996.5 cal/g. The cetane number of diesel fuel is 42, while the octane number of gasoline is 78.9.

Abstract

Salah satu potensi yang dimiliki oleh desa pamboborang kecamatan banggae kabupaten majene adalah bawang merah, hampir sebagian penduduk menanam bawang merah, sehingga bawang merah menjadi produk unggulan di desa pamboborang. Pelatihan Ekspor bagi petani bawang merah di desa pamboborang dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan wawasan dalam memahami dasar-dasar pemasaran ekspor, dokumen apa saja yang harus disiapkan, kualitas dan jenis produk apa serta bagaimana cara mencari mitra di luar negeri. Pelatihan ini melibatkan 6 kelompok tani dan 3 Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT). Metode Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat telah merujuk dari hasil analisis hasil observasi yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani bawang merah di Desa pamboborang, Pengabdian ini melibatkan dosen dan mahasiswa universitas sulawesi barat, dengan tahapan 1) Persiapan; 2) Koordinasi dengan Pemerintah Desa dan kelompok tani, 3) Pembekalan mahasiswa; 4) Melaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan Ekspor bagi Kelompok petani bawang merah di desa pamboborang; 5) Pendampingan dan Pembimbingan. Pelatihan ini dilakukan dengan melibatkan praktisi ekspor / eksportir dan rumah BUMN Kabupaten Majene, Adapun hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah adanya peningkatan pemahaman dari kelompok tani dan kelompok wanita tani terkait prosedur dokumen dan jenis kualitas ekspor bawang merah

Abstract

Asridiana2, Muhammad Ammar3 and Hendra Koesmara4 Email: asridosen369@gmail.com ABSTRACT Foot and mouth disease (FMD) is one of the most feared livestock diseases in the world. Clinical symptoms in infected cattle include fever and lesions on the lips, tongue and mouth. The emergence of FMD cases, especially in Aceh, has affected the trade in live cattle and goats in Aceh Besar Regency as one of the districts with the largest population of large livestock (cattle) in Aceh Province. The efforts made by the Aceh Besar District government in dealing with the FMD outbreak through implementing policies issued by the central government have been successful in reducing the spread of FMD to the point of zero cases. The research method used was a literature review approach and data observations in 21 sub-districts spread across the Aceh Besar Regency government area as one of the areas most affected by FMD in Aceh Province. This literature study aims to look at the government's role in handling and preventing the spread of livestock foot and mouth diseaseFrom In all this case, 12,180 livestock were successfully recovered, 24 were conditionally slaughtered, and 28 livestock died due to FMD. Aceh Besar Regency has 21 sub-districts affected by the FMD outbreak. Montasik District recorded the highest number of cases, namely 186,754 cases. As of August 2022, there were 2,189 animals infected with FMD. when the FMD outbreak started to occur, another obstacle felt by farmers was the minimal stock of cattle. This was caused by the closure of cattle entry routes between provinces and districts to prevent the increasingly massive transmission of FMD from cattle to cattle.
