Abstract

Science learning fosters logical and critical thinking by integrating real word contexts, such as the Klampar Pamekasan batik motif, to enhance students understanding of biological classification. Therefore, the objective of this research is to examine the concept of science in the Pamekasan Klampar batik motif as a source for learning science. This study employs an exploratory descriptive method, which involves field observations, interviews with batik artisans and educators, and documentation analysis to comprehensively examine the classification of living organisms depicted in Klampar Pamekasan batik motifs. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis. The results of the exploration of Klampar Pamekasan batik motifs found several motifs in the form of living creatures such as butterflies, woodpeckers, jasmine flowers, onagadori chickens, roses, sparrows, and so on. These living things can be classified based on kingdoms, divisions, classes, orders, families, genera, and species. The Klampar Pamekasan batik motif has the potential to be a source of science learning material for the classification of living things.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui peningkatan literasi sains siswa setelah menggunakan e-module berbasis etnosains keris madura dengan materi unsur, senyawa, dan campuran. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian one group pretest posttest. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII MTsN Bangkalan. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu 30 siswa kelas VIII-C. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes literasi sains. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan literasi sains siswa sebesar 0,69 yang masuk kategori sedang setelah menggunakan e-module berbasis etnosains keris madura dengan 16 siswa masuk kategori tinggi. Sebanyak 14 siswa lainnya masuk dalam kategori sedang. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, literasi sains siswa dapat ditingkatkan menggunakan e-module berbasis etnosains keris madura dan sangat valid digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep pada materi pemanasan global dan motivasi belajar siswa dengan penerapan aplikasi Kahoot. Penelitian menggunakan metode mix method di SMPN 1 Mlonggo dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 1 kelas yaitu kelas VII B berjumlah 32 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument tes pilihan ganda dua tingkat untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep siswa, instrument angket jenis skala likert unruk mengetahui motivasi belajar dan instrument wawancara untuk mendukung informasi data. Teknik analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan rumus persentase sedangkan data kualitatif menggunakan Miles dan Huberman. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa memiliki persentase rata-rata sebesar 62.29% dengan kategori sedang, (2) motivasi belajar siswa memiliki rata-rata sebesar 68.29% dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

Rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa berada pada pencapaian oleh kegiatan pembelajaran yang masih didominasi oleh aktivitas guru dan penggunaan bahan terbuka belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa sebelum dan setelah diterapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan e-modul. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Tragah. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Tragah dan penelitian sebanyak 25 siswa dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Metode Penelitian adalah Pra-eksperimen dengan desain one grup pretest posttest design. Analisis peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa menggunakan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis setelah diterapkan model PBL berbantuan e-module.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektif atau tidaknya model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam menyampaikan implikasi akronim IPA. Subjek penelitian adalah sekelompok siswa kelas VIII dari salah satu madrasah swasta di Kabupaten Mojokerto yang berjumlah 39 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian ukuran sampel kecil. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen dan non-eksperimental. Analisis penilaian ganda melalui dua puluh lima soal pilihan, sedangkan non-penilaian lima pilihan ganda melalui observasi. Data yang telah dianalisis dilakukan analisis deskriptif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari 75,07 persen pada kategori sedang prasiklus menjadi 78,97 persen dengan kategori sedang siklus I, kemudian kembali meningkat menjadi 84,10 persen pada kategori tinggi siklus II. Indikator keberhasilan penelitian telah terpenuhi yang didasari atas terlampauinya persentase rata-rata hasil belajar dan ketuntasan belajar yang didapatkan oleh peserta didik. Selain itu, memasukkan PBL ke dalam pendidikan sains dapat efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Science comic based on auvidi media are rarely applied in science learning. Based on the result of pre-research at SMP Al Hikam Kemayoran students consider that learning science is very difficult and boring due to the lack of use of learning media. The solution given is to develop science comics based on auvidi media on global warming materials. This development research aims to determine the feasibility, readability, and students responses to the media. This study uses the ADDIE development model. This research was conducted at SMP Al Hikam Kemayoran class VII with 34 students. The sampling method is a saturated sample technique for class VII students. Data collection techniques use interviews, quesrionnaires, and documentation. The results of the media feasibility validation obtained an average result of 0,98, while the material eligibility validation obtained an average of 0,83 as very valid. The readability percentage obtained an average score 83,50% and student respons obtained an average score of 88,88% in the very good category.

Abstract

This development research aims to determine the feasibility, student responses and produce products for integrated science module media based on mixed separation ethnoscience themes. This research is a development research that uses the 4D development modelconsisting of(Define, Design, Develop andDisseminate).However, this development only reached the development stage. The data collection technique in this research is using a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that the integrated IPA module based on ethnoscience of mixed separation themes that was developed is included in the criteria for use, judging from the results of media expert validation of 84.37 %, media expert reliability of 92.72, material expert validation of 89.17 %, material expert reliability as big as 96.19 %. These results get a positive response so that it can be said that the integrated science module based on ethnoscience with mixed separation themes is suitable for use by seventh grade junior high school students.

Abstract

Integrated science learning in ethnoscience is very important because students can know the concrete form of local culture by constructing indigenous knowledge of the community in the process of making shrimp paste into scientific knowledge which is implemented through learning media in the form of e-modules. The purpose of this study was to produce an e-module and determine the level of validity, and student readability to an integrated science-based e-module based on ethnoscience using a flipbook with the theme of rebon shrimp paste. This type of research is development research using the ADDIE development model. The population in this study were all students of class VIII MTsN 2 Sumenep with a sample of class VIII-B. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were validation sheets of media experts, material experts, science teachers, and questionnaires student readability. The results showed that: 1) The results of the media aspect validity were 88.74% and the reliability value was 95.71% with very valid and very reliable categories. The value of the validity of the material aspect is 86.11% and the reliability value is 89.66% with a very valid and very reliable category. 2) Students' readability scores a percentage value of 88.18% with a very good category.

Abstract

Students’ scientific literacy in Indonesia, especially at the junior high school level, is still low, thus requiring an innovative learning approach. Integrating local wisdom, such as Madurese batik, into science learning makes learning more contextual. This research aimed to analyze the effect of discovery learning assisted by a Madurese Batik science module on students’ scientific literacy improvement. A one-group pretest-posttest design was utilized for this study, involving a sample of 31 students from class 7 at SMPN 2 Bangkalan. The research instrument used an essay test on scientific literacy competency. The analysis technique used the Wilcoxon and the N-Gain tests. The findings indicated a significant improvement in students’ scientific literacy (Wilcoxon sig. = 0.000), with a moderate N-Gain of 0.65. This study implies that integrating local wisdom into discovery learning can be an effective strategy to enhance students’ scientific literacy.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kevalidan, keterbacaan dan respons siswa terhadap produk yang dikembangkan berupa e-magazine konteks soto Madura pada materi unsur, senyawa dan campuran. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE. Penelitian dilakukan pada siswa kelas IX-A untuk uji coba terbatas dan VIII-F MTsN Bangkalan untuk tahap implementasi. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar validasi, lembar angket keterbacaan, dan lembar angket respons siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan e-magazine konteks soto Madura pada materi unsur, senyawa dan campuran dinyatakan valid dengan nilai validitas 95,14% pada aspek media dan 87,50% pada aspek materi. Hasil keterbacaan siswa terhadap e-magazine mendapatkan kategori sangat baik dengan rata-rata 89,80%. Hasil respons siswa terhadap penggunaan e-magazine mendapatkan kategori sangat tinggi dengan rata-rata 88,83%. Berdasarkan perolehan nilai tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan e-magazine konteks soto Madura pada materi unsur, senyawa dan campuran dinyatakan sangat valid digunakan dalam pembelajaran, dan sangat baik dari segi keterbacaan serta mendapatkan repons sangat tinggi dari siswa.
