Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is by the limited availability of mathematics learning instrument based curicullum 2013 by teachers. This research purpose is produce to mathematics learning instrument (Lesson Plan and Student Worksheet) which refers to Discovery Learning model on matter of build trigonometri for SMA/MA with minimum valid and practical criteria. This reserch method used is ADDIE model by Dick & Carry, that consist of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation, but the reserch only done to implementation step due to time and cost constraints. In this research, a limited trial was conducted on 17 students of high school class XI.. Based on the results, data analysis can be concluded that the study of mathematics is very valid to the average ratings for the lesson plan is 3.71 and the average ratings for the student worksheet is 3.52. The student worksheet has also reached the practical qualification in mean percentage of student responses 94,58% in limited group trial with very practical criteria. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that the product in the form of RPP and LKS mathematics with discovery learning model on Trigonometry material for SMA / MA is considered very valid and practical.Keywords: Discovery Learning model, Lesson Plan, Students worksheet, Trigonometry

Abstract

Abstract: This research was based on the low student’s achievement in mathematics in grade VIIa of SMP An Namiroh Pekanbaru. From data of daily students was obtained the percentage of students who got the Mastery Minimum Criteria were 43,3% for main subject Integers and 13,3% for subject Algebra. This research is a class action research. This research aims to improve the learning process and improve learning result in mathematics by implementation of cooperative learning Think Pair Square (TPS) approach. The subject of this research were the students in the class VIIa of SMP An Namiroh Pekanbaru at the even semester of academic year 2016/2017 that consist of 14 boys and 15 girls. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and student’s mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in desciptive narative to see the process of activities learning process that the implementation wasn’t based on plan that was made so it can be arranged the improvemen plan for second cycles while the student’s mathematic tests were analyzed in statistic desciptive. The result of this research showed an improvement of learning process and student’s achievement of learning mathematic prior to the action on the first and second cycles. The students have be seriously in doing students worksheets by develop their own capability and every member of group took an active part in doing students worksheets. The students also were confident if being showed to do the presentation and being more active in giving idea for group who did the presentation. From the analysis of getting the Mastery Minimum Criteria showed an improvement student’s achievement from the basic score with percentage 34,5% to the first test with percentage 41,4% to second test with percentage 54%. Based on the result of this research could be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning Think Pair Square (TPS) Approach can improve the learning process and improve the student’s achievement of learning mathematic in grade VIIa of SMP An Namiroh Pekanbaru at the even semester of academic year 2016/2017.Key Words : Students Math Achievement, Cooperative Learning Think Pair Square Approach, Clasroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: this research is motivated by the result of learning mathematics of class student VIII6 SMP Negeri 12 Pekanbaru which is still under the minimum mastery criteria with a persentage of 37,5% only 15 students from 40 students who achieve the minimum mastery criteria on the subject matter of the circle. The purpose of this study is to improve the learning process and increase the student?s mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of Cooperative learning structured approach Numbered Heads Together. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research with two cycle. The research was conducted in class VIII6 SMP Negeri 12 Pekanbaru in the second semester of the 2016/2017 academic year with the subject of as many as 40 students, consist of 22 boys and 18 girls. The research instrument consists of learning devices and instrument data collectors. Learning device used in this research is the Syllabus, Lesson Plan and Worksheet. The instrument data collector used in this research is the observation sheet and math achievement test. The observation sheet was analyzed descriptive qualitative while the test of mathematics learning outcomes was analyzed statistically. Based on qualitative analiysis showed that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Weakness on cycle I is improved on implementation cycle II according with planning of improvement after reflection cycle I. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to daily test II. The number of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria on basic scor, daily test I and daily test IIare respectively 15 person (37,5%), 20 person (50%) and 27 person (67,5%). Results of this research indicates that application of the Cooperative learning structured approach Numbered Heads Together can improve learning process and increase mathematics learning outcomes from the students at class VIII6 SMP Negeri 12 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2016/2017.Key words: Students? Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to improve learning process and mathematics learning outcomes in SMP Negeri 35 Pekanbaru by implementing Structural Approach to Cooperative Learning Model Numbered Heads Together (NHT). Subjects of the research were students grade VII5 who have the academic ability of the heterogeneous. This research is a classroom action research with two cycles. Each cycle has four stages, the stages are planning, action, observation and reflection. The results show the activity of teachers and students have done well after doing the action. There was enchanment in the number of students who achieved KKM (minimum criteria of achievement) in formative test at the end of each cycle is compared to the number of students who achieve KKM on base score. Starting from 25% increased to 35% and increased to 77,5%. There was also an increasing in the number of students who scored 20 and 30 is compared to the development of the number of students who received grades 5 and 10. Results of this research indicate that the application of Structural Approach to Cooperative Learning Model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) can improve learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students grade VII5 SMP Negeri 35 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic year 2013/2014.Key words: Mathematics learning outcome, Cooperative learning, Numbered Heads , Class action research.

Abstract

Abstract : The research background is the importance of mathematics learning instruments as mathematics lesson plans which is arranged by the teacher as a professional worker in order to achieve mathematics learning goals. The available of mathematics learning instruments is limited, and does not refer to 2013’s Curriculum yet. This research is aimed to develop the mathematics learning instruments: syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets using the discovery learning model on ratio subject for 7th grade students of SMP/MTs that is categorized as valid and the student worksheets is categorized as practical. This research used ADDIE model The research instruments that used in this research were learning instruments validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The learning instruments are validated by three validators and revised according to the validator’s suggestions, and then tested on thirty two students of Class VII4 of SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru for large trials . According to the result of validation data analysis of syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets, syllabus and lesson plans were categorized as very valid with the average score for syllabus was 3.69 and 3,46, and student worksheets was were categorized as valid with the average score 3.24. According to the result of student response questionnaires toward the student worksheets practicality, it were categorized as practical with a percentage of 82,26%. According to the result of data analysis and the discussion, it can be concluded that the syllabus, lesson plans using the discovery learning model on ratio subject were very valid, and student worksheets were valid, practical and feasible to be used by 7th grade students of SMP/MTs.Key Words: Discovery Learning Model, Mathematics Learning Instruments, Ratio

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the learning process and the student’s mathematical representation skill by applying Problem Based Learning model. The research subject were 39 students of class VII3 SMPN 3 Pekanbaru. This study was conducted in the odd semester of the academic year 2019/2020. This research is Classromm Action Research with two cycles and each of cycle has four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data used in this research are qualitative (Teacher and Student Activity Sheets) and quantitative data (Mathematical Representation Tests). The research instuments consists of learning device (Syllabus, Lesson Plans, and Student Activity Sheets) and instruments for data collecting (Observation Sheet and Mathematical Representation Tests). The data collection technique of this reseacrh are observation by using qualitative analysis and the mathematical representation test was analyzed by using quantitative analysis. Based on analysis of teacher and student activity sheets was obtained that implementation of learning process on cycle II better than cycle I. The result of mathematical representation skill show that score of student’s mathematical representation skill in the first test was 46,39 (low) then it increased to 65,89 (moderate) on cycle I and 78,91 (high) on cycle II. This study concludes that the implementation of Problem Based Learning model improves the learning process and improve the student’s Mathematical Representation Skill at class VII3 SMPN 3 Pekanbaru.Key Words : Problem Based Learning, Mathematical Representation Skill, Learning Process

Abstract

This study aims to produce a digital learning media assisted by a flat-shape solid figures worksheet for 8th grade of SMP/MTs students that is valid and practical. The development model used in this study is the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data collection techniques using validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The learning media validity test was carried out by three expert validators. There are 2 aspects of the assessment, namely the material aspect consisting of curriculum and learning, and the media aspect consisting of the program, media display, and worksheet display. The practicality test of learning media was carried out through a limited trial to 6 students. The results showed that the media validity test was in the very valid category. Furthermore, the results of the practicality test are in the very practical category. The conclusion of this study is that the worksheet-assisted digital learning media is very valid and practical to use in learning the material for flat-sided geometry.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is students low in mathematical of grade at SMP Negeri 1 Dumai. The aims of research is to improve learning process and to increase student mathematics achievement with applying the learning model of Problem Based Learning. This research is classroom action research. The subject of this research is student of class VIII2 SMP Negeri 1 Dumai in academic years 2018/2019, which amounted to 32 students, consist of 15 boys and 17 girls. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle have four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research is observation sheets that consisting of the identity of the observation sheet, filling instruction, indicators that refer to PBL steps, descriptors and observations and students mathematic tests. The observation sheets is analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the students mathematic tests is analyzed in quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive show an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycle. Most of students are very confidence and active in learning process, such as while they are finishing mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning. The results of this study indicate the number of students who reached Minimum Mastery Criteria of knowledge increase from basic score to quiz-I and quiz-II. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (31,25%) to the first quiz (43,75%) to the second quiz (62,5%). For the skills of basic score (37,5%) to the first quiz (46,88%) to the second quiz (81,25%). From these data it can be concluded that the application of Problem Based Learning can improve learning process and increase mathematics achievement from the students at class VIII2 SMP Negeri 1 Dumai in academic years 2018/2019 for the subject relation and fungtion.Key Words: Students’ Mathematic Achievement, Problem Based Learning, Class Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes in fifth grade students of SD 80 Bumbung by implementing cooperative learning model Students Teams Achievement Division (STAD). The subjects in this study were fifth grade students consisting of 12 male and 13 female with the heterogeneous academic ability. This research is a class act consisting of two cycles. Each cycle consisted of three meetings and one-time Daily Deuteronomy (UH) which was held at the end of each cycle. This study also consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The result of observations indicate the teachers and students activities have performing well after the action. After UH held at the end of the cycle, the number of students who achieve a score is increase of KKM compare to the basic score. With this increasing, the results of research carried out showed that the implementation of STAD cooperative learning model to improve mathematics learning outcomes in fifth grade students of SD 80 Bumbung in the odd semester of the academic year 2013/2014.Keywords: Learning Processes, Results Learning Mathematics, Cooperative Learning, STAD, Classroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstract : This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to improve the learning process and the result of learning mathematics by applying Discovery Learning model. Subjects in this research were students of class VIIIA SMP Negeri 1 Rokan IV Koto in the second semester 2018/2019 academic year consisting of 12 male students and 14 female students. The research instruments used are mathematical learning instruments (syllabus, Lesson Plans and Student Worksheet) and data collection instruments (observation sheets and learning outcomes test sheets). The observation sheet is used to obtain data on teacher and student activities during the learning process, while the mathematics learning outcomes test is used to obtain learning outcomes data. Based on the analysis of the observation sheet, it was found that the implementation of the learning process from cycle I to cycle II had improved. The results of learning mathematics of KBM students' knowledge indicators increased from a base score of 50% (13 students) to 57,69% (15 students) in the first cycle and increased to 69,23% (18 students) in the second cycle. The results of the KBM students' mathematics learning skills indicators experienced an increase from the base score of 57,69% (15 students), increasing to 69,23% (18 students) in the first cycle and increasing to 76,92% (20 students) in the second cycle. With these results it can be concluded that in learning there is an improvement in the learning process and improvement in the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIIIA SMP Negeri 1 Rokan IV Koto in the second semester 2018/2019 academic year through the application of the Discovery Learning model in the subject matter of Pola Bilangan.Keywords : Students’ Math Achievement, Discovery Learning Model, Clasroom Action Research.
