Abstract

Tradition, widely acknowledged as a custom rooted in ancient historical events, holds immense significance within societies, often serving diverse purposes ranging from political to cultural, depending on the historical context. Indonesia, a nation rich in cultural diversity, boasts a myriad of traditions unique to each region, with many communities steadfastly adhering to these age-old customs. This article endeavors to explore the enduring nature of traditions and their integral role in shaping human lives. It contends that traditions, developed over time, serve as repositories of cultural and historical identity, fostering a sense of belonging and continuity across generations. By delving into the intricacies of Indonesia's diverse cultural traditions, the article seeks to illuminate the dynamic interplay between tradition and societal evolution. Moreover, it emphasizes the imperative of preserving these traditions to ensure their proper development and transmission to future generations. In essence, the article aims to foster a comprehensive understanding of the profound impact of traditions on human life and the imperative of their preservation for the enrichment of cultural heritage.

Abstract

Berdasarkan Standar Nasional Pendidikan Tinggi (SN-Dikti) ditetapkan bahwa Kelulusan Tepat Waktu (KTW) sebesar atau sama dengan 40%, dan Persentase Keberhasilan Studi (BS) sebesar atau sama dengan 70%. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan strategi konseling elektik dalam monitoring penyelesaian tugas akhir mahasiswa prodi Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam di UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah field research dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik Pengumpulan Data observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik Analisis Data: reduksi data (data reduction), penyajian data (data display) serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi (conclusion drawing/verification). Berdasarkan hasil konseling eklektik model Skilled-Helper melalui kegiatan workshop bersama konselor dan para coach, didapati bahwa problem utama yang dihadapi mahasiswa adalah “rasa malas” (44%). Kedua, manajemen waktu (26%). Ketiga, pengaruh lingkungan (12%). Keempat, mood yang berubah-ubah (8%). Kelima dan Keenam, rasa pesimis/kurang yakin dan biaya (4%).  Ketujuh, alat/ laptop rusak (2%). Selanjutnya untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dilakukan pendekatan coaching model Intention, Goal, Reality, Will (IGROW) melalui lima tahapan, diantaranya: 1. Coach menawarkan kesepakatan topik pembicaraan (intention), 2. Coach menentukan hasil dari suatu proses coaching (Goal), 3. Coach mendalami hasil tersebut (reality), 4. Coach mencari beberapa alternatif solusi (Option), 5. Coach mengakhiri dengan komitmen tindak lanjut (Will). Hasilnya tersdapat 47 mahasiswa (55,2%) yang berhasil lulus tepat waktu (KTW)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the independent curriculum in developing critical thinking skills in learning Islamic Religious Education at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Sidoarjo. Using qualitative research methods, the type of data collected is in the form of qualitative and quantitative. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation, primary and secondary sources. The data collected was analyzed through the process of data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions, while to check the validity of the data triangulation was carried out with sources and a team of experts. The results of the study show that: 1) The application of the independent curriculum in the learning process of Islamic Religious Education focuses on the activeness of students in the hope that their critical thinking skills will develop; 2) Implementation of the independent learning curriculum in Islamic Religious Education Learning contributes to the development of students' critical thinking skills. 3) Improving the ability to think critically in learning out by teachers using various approaches, strategies, methods, learning techniques, and applying innovative learning media. Teachers train students to think critically by reasoning, assessing and making a decision to determine the advantages and disadvantages that must be faced systematically.

Abstract

The Community and Village Empowerment Office of Mojokerto Regency, East Java Province, is a government agency that plays a vital role in formulating and implementing regional policies in the field of community and village empowerment. It also coordinates, supervises, and facilitates the implementation of programs related to community and village government empowerment, including the existence of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in villages throughout Mojokerto Regency. In this study, the author used a qualitative descriptive research method with data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The research findings indicate that optimizing the development of management capacity in Village-Owned Enterprises can increase village original income through the implementation of Joint Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDesMa) carried out by villages and sub-districts across Mojokerto Regency. While there are notable benefits, several challenges still remain, which necessitate consistent monitoring and evaluation to ensure the continued progress of BUMDesMa in Mojokerto Regency. With these efforts, BUMDesMa is expected to function optimally as an economic driver in rural areas and significantly contribute to the sustainable increase of Village Original Income (PADes) in Mojokerto Regency. ABSTRAK Dinas Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dan Desa Kabupaten Mojokerto, Provinsi Jawa Timur, merupakan salah satu instansi pemerintahan yang memiliki peran penting dalam melaksanakan urusan pemerintahan di bidang penyusunan dan pelaksanaan kebijakan daerah bidang pemberdayaan masyarakat desa dan juga mengkoordinasikan, membina dan memfasilitasi pelaksanaan program-program Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dan Pemerintah Desa, serta adanya BumDes yang ada di desa-desa di seluruh Kabupaten Mojokerto. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan data yang diperoleh melalui teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mengoptimalkan pengembangan kapasitas pengelolaan Badan Usaha Milik Desa dapat meningkatkan pendapatan asli desa dalam Badan Usaha Milik Desa Bersama yang dilaksanakan eh desa bersama kecamatan di seluruh Kabupaten Mojokerto Hal ini tentu saja adanya keuntungan dan juga hambatan yang ada sampai saat ini, tentu juga harus di lakukan monitoring dan evaluasi untuk kemajuan Badan Usaha Milik Desa Bersama yang ada di Kabupaten Mojokerto. Dengan langkah-langkah tersebut, diharapkan BumDes Bersama dapat berfungsi optimal sebagai motor penggerak ekonomi desa dan memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan Pendapatan Asli Desa (PADes) di Kabupaten Mojokerto secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh modal sosial terhadap partisipasi mahasiswa dalam organisasi kemahasiswaan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terhadap 30 responden mahasiswa HIMASOS UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Hasil uji validitas dan reliabilitas menunjukkan seluruh item instrumen valid dan reliabel. Uji korelasi Pearson menghasilkan nilai r = 0.601, menunjukkan hubungan positif yang cukup kuat antara modal sosial dan partisipasi mahasiswa. Sementara itu, hasil regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan bahwa modal sosial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap partisipasi mahasiswa (R² = 0.361; p = 0.000). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi modal sosial mahasiswa, semakin tinggi pula tingkat partisipasi mereka dalam organisasi kampus.

Abstract

PURPOSE - MSMEs in Tuban Regency play an important role in the regional economy, but are still constrained by access to capital. Savings and Loan Cooperatives (KSP) are an alternative solution because of easy requirements, low interest rates, and business assistance.METHODOLOGY - This research was conducted at the Cooperatives, SMEs, and Trade Office of Tuban Regency using qualitative methods. The main source of data comes from primary data, obtained through direct observation and interviews with the Head of the Cooperatives Division, and one of the employees in the cooperative sector at the Institution. Savings and Loan Cooperatives in Tuban play an important role in assisting access to capital for MSMEs through inclusive financing and business training. Cooperatives also build social values such as mutual cooperation and responsibility.FINDING - Despite facing challenges such as low financial literacy and governance, cooperatives still have the potential to be sustainable drivers of the local economy. Therefore, institutional strengthening, increasing member participation, and external support from the government and strategic partners are key to making cooperatives the main pillar of MSME empowerment and sustainable people's economic development in Tuban.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Village Funds are a strategic government instrument to promote rural development and community empowerment in a sustainable manner. However, their implementation often faces challenges, particularly limited administrative capacity of village officials and suboptimal community participation in planning and program implementation. This community service activity aimed to assist the government and community of Sumbertebu Village, Bangsal District, Mojokerto Regency, in managing Village Funds in a more participatory, accountable, and empowerment-oriented manner. The methods applied included joint problem identification with community partners, participatory program planning, implementation of mentoring activities, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The mentoring focused on strengthening the capacity of village officials in Village Fund administration, optimizing the role of the village-owned enterprise (BUMDes) as a driver of the local economy, and enhancing community understanding of village development programs. The results indicate an improvement in village officials’ understanding of Village Fund governance principles, strengthened functions of BUMDes in supporting local economic activities, and increased community participation in development and empowerment initiatives. Overall, this community service activity contributes to improved Village Fund governance and the sustainable enhancement of community welfare in Sumbertebu Village. ABSTRAK Dana Desa merupakan instrumen strategi pemerintah dalam mendorong pembangunan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat desa secara berkelanjutan. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya, pemanfaatan Dana Desa masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, terutama keterbatasan kapasitas aparatur desa dan belum optimalnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan program. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi pemerintah dan masyarakat Desa Sumbertebu, Kecamatan Bangsal, Kabupaten Mojokerto, dalam pengelolaan Dana Desa agar lebih partisipatif, akuntabel, dan berorientasi pada pemberdayaan masyarakat. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi identifikasi permasalahan bersama mitra, perencanaan program secara partisipatif, pelaksanaan pendampingan, serta pemantauan dan evaluasi. Pendampingan difokuskan pada penguatan kapasitas aparatur desa dalam pengelolaan administrasi Dana Desa, optimalisasi peran BUMDes sebagai penggerak ekonomi lokal, serta peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap program pembangunan desa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman aparatur desa terhadap prinsip tata kelola Dana Desa, penguatan fungsi BUMDes, serta meningkatnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan pembangunan dan pemberdayaan. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi pada penguatan tata kelola Dana Desa dan peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat Desa Sumbertebu secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Stunting remains a chronic nutritional problem that is commonly found in rural areas, including Mojokerto Regency, and has serious implications for child growth and development. This community service activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and awareness of mothers with young children and posyandu cadres regarding stunting prevention through balanced nutrition education and the utilization of local food resources. The activity was implemented using an educational and participatory approach, including socialization sessions, nutrition counseling, interactive discussions, and hands-on assistance in preparing nutritious local food–based meals. The program targeted mothers of children under five, posyandu cadres, and members of the village community. The results indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding of the importance of balanced nutrition, appropriate parenting practices, age-appropriate child feeding, and the use of local food such as pumpkin as an alternative nutritious complementary food. In addition, the activity encouraged positive behavioral changes, particularly in regular child growth monitoring at posyandu. Overall, this community-based nutrition socialization contributed positively to stunting prevention efforts and strengthened community participation in improving child health and development outcomes.   ABSTRAK Stunting merupakan permasalahan kronis gizi yang masih banyak ditemukan di wilayah pedesaan, termasuk Kabupaten Mojokerto, dan berdampak serius terhadap kualitas tumbuh kembang anak. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran ibu balita serta kader posyandu mengenai pencegahan stunting melalui sosialisasi gizi seimbang dan pemanfaatan pangan lokal. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan dengan pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif melalui sosialisasi, penyuluhan gizi, diskusi interaktif, serta pendampingan praktik pengolahan makanan berbahan pangan lokal bergizi. Sasaran kegiatan meliputi ibu balita, kader posyandu, dan masyarakat desa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai pentingnya gizi seimbang, pola asuh yang tepat, praktik memberikan makan anak sesuai usia, serta pemanfaatan pangan lokal seperti labu kuning sebagai alternatif MP-ASI Bergizi. Kegiatan ini juga mendorong perubahan sikap masyarakat dalam melakukan pemantauan pertumbuhan balita secara rutin di posyandu. Secara keseluruhan, sosialisasi gizi berbasis komunitas ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam upaya pencegahan stunting dan penguatan peran masyarakat dalam meningkatkan kualitas kesehatan dan tumbuh kembang anak.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of interactive learning using Quizizz videos and mind mapping techniques on the understanding of Social Sciences (IPS) material on the theme of Indonesian Stories at MI Raden Rahmat Wonokromo Surabaya. Interactive learning is an approach that involves students engaging with digital media and utilizing fun visual strategies. Quizizz is an interactive digital quiz platform, and mind mapping is a visual note-taking technique that is believed to improve students' understanding of narrative and conceptual materials. The research method used is quantitative with an associative approach. The research sample was all sixth-grade students who were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that both Quizizz videos and mind mapping had a significant effect, partially and simultaneously, on students' understanding. The R² value of 0.975 indicates that 97.5% of the understanding of IPS material is influenced by these two variables. Thus, the integration of technology and visual strategies has proven effective in improving the quality of IPS learning in madrasah.

Abstract

Quality education is an important element in sustainable development and improving the quality of a country's human resources. However, Indonesia is still lagging behind other countries in the global education system ranking. This study aims to analyze the role of the WEPOSE community in supporting the fourth point of sustainable development goals (SDGs) related to quality education in Surabaya. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with a phenomenological approach. Data was collected through interviews with WEPOSE Surabaya managers as well as literature studies from reliable sources. The research locations are at several points in Surabaya, including Wonokromo, Kalisari Damen, Pasar Turi, and Keputran. The results of the study show that WEPOSE Surabaya has existed since October 24, 2019, with the Founder of WEPOSE Surabaya Tabitha Naema Christy. This community is a community that cares about children's rights. Self-development activities that Surabaya youth participate in to support quality education are diverse, such as volunteering, community service, village teaching, community organizations, love of nature, youth mosques, ambassadors, beauty competitions, and many more. Not only that, the Surabaya City Government also coordinates with the East Java Provincial Government to ensure that Surabaya children get quality education. The conclusion of this study shows that the existence of communities like WEPOSE contributes significantly to the improvement of the education of underprivileged children. The implications of this study highlight the importance of collaboration between communities, governments, and other stakeholders in ensuring inclusive and sustainable quality education
