Abstract

By utilizing waste from Zn-C batteries, it is possible to produce ZnO semiconductor compounds from waste water laundry, which fall under the category of photocatalysts that can decompose harmful organic and inorganic compounds from waste laundry. The research method employed is coprecipitation, which involves synthesizing ZnO through a solution precipitation process, followed by mixing it with zeolite and testing the photocatalyst's activity with varying contact times of 30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes, as well as different weights of ZnO-Zeolite photocatalysts at 0.5, 0.75, and 1 gram. The characterization results of ZnO-Zeolite indicated a crystal size of 23.94 nm and a band gap energy of 2.98 eV. To evaluate the effectiveness of the ZnO-Zeolite photocatalyst, parameters such as pH, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), and the degradation of surfactant compounds in laundry waste were analyzed using UV-Vis Spectrophotometry. The findings revealed a decrease in pH from level of 9.18 to 7.25, and a reduction in COD from 269 mg/L to 64 mg/L, representing a percentage decrease of 76.21%. Additionally, the degradation of surfactant levels dropped from 2.817 mg/L to 0.035 mg/L, achieving a degradation percentage of 98.76% with a catalyst mass of 0.75 g and a contact time of 90 minutes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the Wafa method by providing rewards in learning tahfidz Al-Qur'an at SMP IT Insan Mandiri Cendekia Palembang. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the Wafa method is applied through the Quantum Teaching model with the TANDUR (Grow, Natural, Natural, Demonstrate, Repeat, Celebrate) approach. The obstacles faced include the adaptation of new students who are not familiar with the Wafa method, limited parental involvement, inequality in teacher competence, lack of teacher training at the tasnif level, and not optimal time management. The results of the study show that the Wafa method has a positive impact on improving the quality of student memorization, especially in the memorization of Juz 30 and other juz. This method increases student motivation, discipline, and responsibility. Rewarding support and involvement of teachers and parents is essential. The Wafa method is worthy of being maintained and developed as an effective tahfidz learning strategy.

Abstract

Globalization brings rapid flows of information, technology, and culture, which significantly impact the character formation of the younger generation. This phenomenon requires Islamic education to adapt to global dynamics without neglecting the fundamental values of Islamic teachings. This study aims to conceptually examine the relationship between globalization and Islamic education in the context of developing Islamic character. A review of the literature indicates that globalization presents challenges in the form of shifting values, consumerism, individualism, and moral relativism, all of which have the potential to erode character values. On the other hand, Islamic education plays a strategic role through the strengthening of aqidah (faith), akhlak (morality), and adab (proper conduct), thereby shaping individuals who are resilient, have integrity, and are adaptive to change. The findings emphasize the importance of integrating contextual Islamic educational methods in line with global developments, utilizing technology wisely, and institutionalizing Islamic character values within both formal and non-formal curricula. This study provides a conceptual contribution for educators and policymakers in designing relevant and sustainable Islamic character education strategies in the era of globalization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Abraham Maslow’s humanistic theory in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and its implications for the self-actualization of eleventh grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Madang Suku II OKU Timur. The background of this research is based on the predominance of cognitively oriented and teacher-centered PAI learning, which tends to overlook students’ psychological and humanistic needs. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of PAI teachers and eleventh grade students. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The data validity technique referred to the concept proposed by Moleong, including credibility testing through source triangulation and technique triangulation, as well as prolonged engagement and reference adequacy. The results indicate that Abraham Maslow’s humanistic theory was implemented contextually through the fulfillment of students’ physiological needs, safety needs, love and belongingness needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization needs within the PAI learning process. The teacher acted as a facilitator who created a safe, comfortable, democratic, and respectful learning environment. The implementation of this theory contributed to increased learning motivation, self-confidence, courage to express opinions, and the development of students’ potential and self-actualization. This study confirms that Abraham Maslow’s humanistic theory is relevant and effective in supporting humanistic, participatory, and meaningful Islamic Religious Education learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi konsentrasi H₂SO₄ pada tahap hidrolisis kulit singkong serta menentukan kondisi yang paling efektif untuk menghasilkan glukosa sebagai substrat utama fermentasi bioetanol. Kulit singkong dipilih karena kandungan pati dan selulosanya yang tinggi serta ketersediaannya yang melimpah sebagai limbah agroindustri. Proses hidrolisis dilakukan dengan variasi konsentrasi H₂SO₄ (0,1 N; 0,3 N; 0,6 N; 0,8 N; dan 1 N), dilanjutkan tahap fermentasi menggunakan Saccharomyces cerevisiae dengan penambahan urea sebagai sumber nitrogen. Fermentasi dilakukan selama 3 dan 5 hari guna mengkaji pengaruh lama fermentasi terhadap akumulasi etanol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hidrolisis dengan konsentrasi H₂SO₄ 0,6 N menghasilkan kadar glukosa tertinggi sebesar 7,0 °Bx, yang berkontribusi pada pembentukan etanol maksimum sebesar 9,8% pada hari ketiga fermentasi. Setelah hari ketiga, kadar etanol menunjukkan kecenderungan menurun. Dengan demikian, konsentrasi H₂SO₄ 0,6 N dapat disimpulkan sebagai kondisi paling optimal untuk proses hidrolisis kulit singkong dalam mendukung produksi bioetanol.

Abstract

Air minum yang aman dan berkualitas merupakan kebutuhan penting untuk kelangsungan hidup. Air Minum Isi Ulang (AMIU) sering dipilih masyarakat karena harganya lebih terjangkau dibanding Air Minum Dalam Kemasan (AMDK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahiu kinerja Membran Reverse Osmosis (RO) tipe Silvertec ULP-2021-100 dalam mengolah dua jenis air baku, yaitu air PDAM dan air Sukomoro, menjadi air minum sesuai standar kualitas menurut Permenkes No. 2 Tahun 2023. Proses pengolahan diawali dengan pra-filtrasi menggunakan filter sediment dan karbon aktif, dilanjutkan dengan filtrasi utama menggunakan membran RO berukuran pori 0,0001 mikron, serta sterilisasi akhir dengan sinar ultraviolet. Variasi tekanan fluida antara 3–7 bar diuji untuk menentukan tekanan optimal yang menghasilkan kualitas air terbaik berdasarkan parameter pH, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), dan laju alir. Penelitian ini mendapati bahwa tekanan optimal berada pada 5 bar, di mana air PDAM memiliki pH 7,4, TDS 18 mg/L, dengan laju alir mencapai 10,3171 L/jam, sedangkan air Sukomoro memiliki pH serupa 7,4, TDS 18 mg/L, dengan laju alir sebesar 9,5952 L/jam. Uji parameter kimia pada tekanan ini mengindikasikan bahwa kadar besi (Fe²⁺), klorida (Cl⁻), dan sulfat (SO₄²⁻) tetap di bawah batas standar. Sementara itu, pengujian mikrobiologi menghasilkan hasil negatif untuk total coliform dan E. coli setelah penanganan dengan sinar UV. Secara keseluruhan, sistem RO ini telah terbukti efektif serta efisien dalam menghasilkan air minum berkualitas, dengan tekanan 5 bar sebagai kondisi operasi optimal untuk kedua jenis air sumber yang digunakan

Abstract

Arabic plays an important role in education, but many students have difficulty writing due to their weak mastery of basic grammar. This research aims to analyze the relationship between mastery of mufradat (vocabulary) and qawaid (grammar) on students' ability to write Arabic. This study was quantitative with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 31 students who answered a questionnaire containing 30 statements and a test to measure mastery of vocabulary, qawaid, and writing skills. Data analysis was conducted using validity, reliability (Cronbach's alpha), and Pearson correlation. All questionnaire items were declared valid. The results showed that 74.2% of students had good vocabulary mastery, 83.9% had a good understanding of qawaid, and 61.3% had good writing skills. The correlation test produced a correlation coefficient of 0.691, indicating a positive and significant relationship between vocabulary and qawaid mastery and writing ability. These findings emphasize the importance of mastering understanding and grammar as the basis for learning Arabic. This research is expected to contribute to teachers in developing effective learning strategies, as well as encouraging students to actively broaden their horizons and understand qawaid, in order to improve their Arabic writing skills accurately and communicatively.

Abstract

Kualitas air minum yang aman sangat penting untuk kesehatan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas produk air minum yang diperoleh dari unit pengolahan air minum yang hasil rancangan unit pengolahan air minum oleh penulis dengan berbasis membran reverse osmosis Silvertec ULP-2012-100G dan juga post carbon pada variasi tekanan fluida 4, 5, 6, 7, dan 8 bar. Air baku yang digunakan berasal dari keluaran air PDAM yang sebelumnya diproses melalui beberapa tahapan filtrasi, meliputi filter sedimen, Granular Activated Carbon (GAC), Chlorine, Taste, and Odor (CTO), membran Reverse Osmosis (RO), dan Post Carbon. Produk air minum ini juga mengacu pada Permenkes RI No. 2 Tahun 2023 sebagai standar air minum berkualitas baik yang memenuhi aspek fisika, kimia, dan mikrobiologi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Teknik Energi Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya, Palembang. Hasil produk air yang telah melalui membran reverse osmosis maupun post carbon keduanya memenuhi kualifikasi air minum sesuai dengan PERMENKES No. 2 Tahun 2023. Fluks permeat dan % rejeksi pada RO linier dan menghasilkan air dengan tingkat rejeksi yang semakin tinggi seiring meingkatnya tekanan fluida, hal ini membuktikan bahwa tekanan fluida mempengaruhi kinerja membran RO sehingga menghasilkan produk air minum yang baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja system Unit Pengolahan Air Minum berbasis Reverse Osmosis (RO) yang ditinjau dari tiga kolom filtrasi, yaitu membrane silvertec, post carbon, dan bio mineral. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menganalisis pengaruh variasi tekanan operasi terhadap nilai fluks dan efisiensi rejeksi zat terlarut, meliputi Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Mangan (Mn), dan Besi (Fe). Penelitian ini menggunakan tekanan operasi bertingkat, yaitu 3 bar, 4 bar, 5 bar, 6 bar, dan 7 bar sebagai variable bebas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan tekanan berbanding lurus dengan nilai fluks, dengan nilai tertinggi diperoleh pada membrane silvertec sebesar 21.212 L/m2.jam pada tekanan 1 bar. Namun demikian, efisiensi rejeksi terhadap TDS, Mn, dan Fe cenderung menurun seiring peningkatan tekanan, yang mengindikasikan adanya batas optimal tekanan operasi. Kolom post carbon menunjukkan efisiensi rejeksi yang rendah namun berperan dalam peningkatan kualitas air, sedangkan kolom bio mineral cenderung meningkatkan TDS, sesuai dengan fungsinya sebagai media remineralisasi. Seluruh parameter hasil akhir air olahan menunjukkan kesesuaian dengan baku mutu air minum berdasarkan Permenkes Nomor 2 Tahun 2023. Dengan demikian, sistem pengolahan air minum ini dinyatakan telah memenuhi kriteria efisiensi secara kualitas maupun kuantitas dalam menghasilkan air siap konsumsi.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi mendorong transformasi pelayanan publik, termasuk pada administrasi pemerintahan desa. Namun, proses pelayanan surat-menyurat di banyak desa masih dilakukan secara konvensional sehingga menimbulkan keterlambatan layanan, rendahnya efisiensi kerja, serta keterbatasan transparansi dalam pemantauan status pengajuan surat. Permasalahan tersebut juga terjadi di Desa Lubuk Layang Ulu, Kabupaten Lahat, Sumatera Selatan, dimana pengelolaan administrasi surat masih dilakukan secara sederhana. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan membangun sistem informasi pelayanan surat-menyurat berbasis web untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan administrasi desa. Pengembangan sistem menggunakan metode agile yang memungkinkan proses pengembangan dilakukan secara bertahap dan adaptif terhadap kebutuhan pengguna. Sistem yang dihasilkan memungkinkan masyarakat mengajukan permohonan surat secara daring, memantau status pengajuan, serta membantu perangkat desa dalam mengelola data secara lebih sistematis. Implementasi sistem diharapkan mampu meningkatkan efektivitas, efisiensi, dan transparansi pelayanan administrasi desa.
