Abstract

This research aims to discuss the reflection of Pancasila values ​​in the practice of Character education for postgraduate students of the Master of Christian Religious Education, Kupang State Christian Institute. This research uses the literature research method where data is collected from various scientific literature, such as reference books, proceeding articles, scientific journals, and so on, to be summarized and analyzed reductively to explain the results of implementing and reflecting Pancasila values ​​in educational practice. Characteristics of Masters students at the Kupang State Christian Institute (IAKN Kupang) are felt to have significant and meaningful benefits because they can create a conducive campus life and unite. The contribution of Pancasila values ​​in the practice of character education makes every student more aware of establishing harmonious friendships with each other in the campus environment and avoiding various forms of discriminatory attitudes. Although it is acknowledged that there are still individual students who sometimes violate cultural norms and show negative character, every teaching staff member always strives to help these individual students change their behavior to become more Indonesian people who live the values ​​of Pancasila.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to identify and explain the patterns of parental and peer support in shaping anti-bullying behaviour among students at SMPK Citra Bangsa Mandiri Kupang.  Bullying is a persistent and repetitive form of aggressive behaviour characterised by an unequal power dynamic between the offender and the victim, with the intention of causing harm and exerting pressure on the victims. This study employs descriptive methodologies with a qualitative approach, utilising interview techniques. This buy is mostly aimed for the eighth grade children. The study involved a total of four participants, comprising two parents and two students. Interviews are systematically done to examine the influence of school programmes on the development of anti-bullying behaviour through observation.  The study findings indicate the existence of three distinct forms of parental support in shaping children' anti-bullying behaviour. The concept of Conscious Parenting is the deliberate and mindful approach of raising children, with a strong emphasis on attentive care and effective communication. Authoritative Parenting, the second style, is distinguished by parents who make fair requests and have high levels of responsiveness towards their children. Parents who have been given official permission not only have elevated standards for their children, but also provide them with the necessary resources and assistance to achieve success.

Abstract

This training is to provide understanding to school principals and teachers about the importance of preparing school accreditation in order to improve the quality and quality of school education. The targets for this Community Service group activity are leaders, teaching staff and education staff at SMP Negeri 1 Semau Selatan. The activity was carried out for 2 days starting from 7 until 8 August 2023. The main material presented was to provide education through assistance regarding the School/Madrasha Accreditation system and procedures for SMP Negeri 1 Semau Selatan and provide practice/simulation regarding concrete steps in preparing School/Madrasha Accreditation for SMP Negeri 1 Semau Selatan. The method used in carrying out activities is Participatory Action Research (PAR). The PKM activities were applied with lecture activities and strengthened through FGD (Focus Group Discussion) discussions and questions and answers between presenters/stakeholders and participants. The number of participants who took part in the training was 35 teachers. The results of the training show that participants understand and mastery of the material regarding creditation, starting from the accreditation system and procedures, and the participants also practice directly the concrete steps in preparing all the documents required for school accreditation. The training participants were very enthusiastic about taking part in this activity because one of the factors is that the school will enter a reaccreditation period in the near future in 2023.Keywords: accompaniment; preparation; accreditationAbstrakPelatihan ini untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada kepala sekolah dan guru akan pentingnya penyiapan akreditasi sekolah demi meningkatkan mutu dan kualitas Pendidikan Sekolah. Sasaran dalam kegiatan kelompok Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini yaitu para pimpinan, tenaga pendidik maupun kependidikan di SMP Negeri 1 Semau Selatan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 2 Hari mulai tanggal 7 sampai dengan 8 Agustus 2023. Materi pokok yang disampaikan adalah, untuk memberikan edukasi lewat Pendampingan mengenai sistim dan prosedur Akreditasi Sekolah/Madrasha Bagi SMP Negeri 1 Semau Selatan dan memberikan praktek/simulasi mengenai langkah-langkah konkrit dalam mempersiapkan Akreditasi Sekolah/Madrasha Bagi SMP Negeri 1 Semau Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan yaitu Participatory Action Research (PAR). Kegiatan PKM tersebut, diaplikasikan dengan aktifitas ceramah dan dikuatkan melalui diskusi FGD (Focus Group Discussion) serta tanya jawab antara pemateri/stakeholders dengan peserta. Jumlah peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan sebanyak 35 orang guru. Hasil Pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman dan penguasaan materi tentang kreditasi Mulai dari sistim dan prosedur akreditasi sudah dipahami oleh para peserta dan peserta juga mempraktekkan secara langsung langkah-langkah kongkrit dalam mempersiapkan semua dokumen yang dipersyaratkan dalam akreditasi sekolah. Para peserta pelatihan sangat antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan ini dikrenakan salah satu faktor adalah sekolah sudah memasuki masa reakreditasi dalam waktu dekat ditahun 2023 ini.Kata Kunci: pendampingan; penyiapan; akreditasi

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to examine marriage by capture from the perspective of Christian marriage so that, in the end, the church, government, and all levels of society can determine the correct attitude towards catch marriage. This paper uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Sampling used purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Capture marriage, one of the marriage methods in Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara, is a tradition of kidnapping women to make her a bride. This has been practiced by noble descendants for prestige purposes since the era of kingdom rule in Sumba. The results obtained show that marriage by capture has experienced a shift in meaning, where it was once done for prestige and by mutual consent, but now it is an act of violence and crime that is very detrimental and even demeaning to women. In the perspective of Christian marriage, the capture of marriage is an act that opposes the Word of God because marriage should be based on love. The government, churches, non-governmental organizations, traditional leaders, and community leaders have expressed their rejection of marriage by capture. Evidence of this rejection is the existence of policies or regulations and a number of other programs to overcome and eliminate capture marriage. However, so far, the government, churches, non-governmental organizations, traditional leaders, and community leaders have not really implemented every existing regulation.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk membahas mengenai kesatuan nilai Pancasila dan nilai-nilai Kristiani. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian kepustakaan yang pengumpulan datanya dilakukan mencari informasi dari berbagai bentuk literatur ilmiah seperti buku, jurnal ilmiah, prosiding maupun artikel-artikel yang releban dengan topik pembahasan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan memaparkan hasil bahwa meskipun Pancasila dan nilai-nilai Kristiani berasal dari konteks yang berbeda, terdapat beberapa persamaan dan keselarasan antara keduanya yaitu: Pertama, prinsip ini mencerminkan keyakinan akan keberadaan Tuhan yang Maha Esa. Nilai-nilai Kristen juga menekankan kepercayaan kepada Tuhan sebagai inti iman. Kedua, nilai-nilai Kristen mengajarkan kasih, keadilan, dan keberadaban dalam berhubungan dengan sesama. Pemberian hak asasi manusia dan perlakuan yang adil untuk semua adalah nilai yang dihargai. Ketiga, nilai-nilai Kristen mengajarkan tentang persatuan, solidaritas, dan kerjasama dalam membangun masyarakat yang berdama. Konsep koinonia atau persekutuan dapat dihubungkan dengan persatuan dalam Pancasila. Keempat, prinsip ini menekankan pada partisipasi rakyat dalam pengambilan keputusan. Dalam konteks Kristen, nilai-nilai demokrasi dan keterlibatan aktif dalam membangun masyarakat dapat dihubungkan. Kelima, nilai-nilai Kristen, seperti keadilan sosial, empati terhadap yang lemah, dan perhatian terhadap orang miskin.

Abstract

The aim of this author is to discuss the importance of implementing Christian character in maintaining the morality and holiness of life as a civilized human being. This research applies a literature study method where the review is carried out descriptively with supporting material obtained from various literature and the discussion focuses on the author's topic related to the implementation of Christian character in social life. Data was collected from various scientific literature and analyzed reductively which describes the results of the discussion that the implementation of Christian character plays a very important role in maintaining the sanctity of life as a civilized human being which should be implemented from an early age in the current millennial era. It is very important to implement Christian character education, because the teaching is not only limited to understanding theories, but also requires implementing them in the practice of moral behavior and maintaining a holy lifestyle as a long-term investment for the nation and state. As Christians who live in the plurality of the Indonesian nation, we must make Christ a reflection in our behavior, namely the ability to control ourselves and not compromise with sin because Christian values ​​teach that every person needs to realize that this body is God's temple, so that they take the initiative to make themselves a good example. right through the right way of life, words, behavior, social relations, spirituality so that people around them can feel the goodness of the existence of Christians as obedient followers of Christ.

Abstract

The country of Indonesia is blessed with great natural wealth so that every citizen should be able to enjoy prosperity, but the facts show that there are still many members of society who are detected as still living below the poverty line. The main objective is to review the significance of Pancasila values ​​in the fifth principle for justice and social welfare. The method used in this research is a literature study with a descriptive analytical approach, the results of which reveal that even though Pancasila as the basis of the Indonesian state emphasizes the importance of social justice, the practice of social justice in the field still faces various significant challenges. This research reveals that there is striking inequality in various aspects of people's lives, including access to the economy, education, health and infrastructure. Even though various policies have been implemented, the results often do not meet expectations, resulting in inequality that continues to widen. Therefore, more inclusive and sustainable policy reforms are needed to overcome social injustice. Some concrete steps that can be taken include fair economic redistribution, increasing access to education and health services, and equitable infrastructure development. All of these efforts must be carried out by involving community participation to ensure that the policies implemented truly reflect the needs and aspirations of all levels of society.

Abstract

Tradisi Kekristenan menyebut Allah adalah Allah Bapa, namun dalam penghayatan religiositas, Allah juga disapa dengan Allah ibu. Gelar Allah Ibu maupun Allah Bapa yang disematkan kepada Tuhan sebenarnya adalah sebuah simbol. Allah sebagai Bapa atau Allah sebagai Ibu disebutkan bukan karena atas dasar jenis kelamin tetapi merupakan sebuah simbol yang menjembatani hubungan dan komunikasi antara manusia dengan Allah yang adalah transenden sekaligus imanen.  Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pustaka dan wawancara mendalam untuk mendapatkan data penelitian yang valid. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa penghayatan orang Riung tentang Allah sebagai ibu yang disapa sebagai ibu (Nde) dengan beberapa penyebutan: Mori, Mbo Mori, Poso Wongko masih terus dihidupi hingga saat ini dalam tuturan ritual adat dan doa-doa personal maupun kolektif terhadap Sang Allah Ibu yang maharahim, mahapencipta dan penuh kasih sayang terhadap umat-Nya. Ungkapan doa orang Riung sering menyandingkan Allah bapa dan Allah ibu secara bersamaan. Kau Nde awa Ema eta - Kau Mori Keraeng Poso Wongko (Allah ibu dan Allah bapa, Engkaulah Mori Keraeng, Poso Wongko kami). Orang Riung mengakui Allah sebagai Nde (ibu) yang penjamin kebahagiaan, penyedia “rumah purba” (rahim) yang nyaman bagi kehidupan orang Riung. Ikatan arkhais ibu-anak  ini menjadi sumber pengalaman orang Riung, yang justru melahirkan religiositas. konsep adat orang Riung yang disebut Pintu Pazir, Allah atau Wujud Tertinggi selalu disapa sebagai Ibu (nde), Nde eta mai, awa mai, ilimai, le mai: ibu yang berada di depan, di belakang, di kiri dan kanan”. Ibu memenuhi kebutuhan dan memberikan perhatian serta cinta yang tidak bersyarat kepada anaknya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengulas pentingnya Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai kasih Kristus, toleransi, dan solidaritas sebagai solusi untuk mengurangi potensi konflik yang timbul dari perbedaan keyakinan khususnya di Nusa Tenggara Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi pustaka, dengan menelaah berbagai literatur kredibel yang relevan. Berdasarkan berbagai literature ilmiah mengemukakan hasil bahwa nilai-nilai PAK, seperti cinta kasih, pengertian, dan penghormatan terhadap keberagaman, mampu menjadi fondasi kuat dalam membentuk karakter individu yang toleran dan menghargai perbedaan. Dalam konteks Nusa Tenggara Timur, meskipun memiliki indeks kerukunan yang tinggi, kasus-kasus konflik antar agama di masa lalu menegaskan pentingnya dialog terbuka, pendidikan multikultural, dan pembinaan moral untuk menjaga kedamaian. Pembelajaran PAK yang bebasis pemanfaatan teknologi juga dapat diadaptasi untuk menyebarkan pesan-pesan kedamaian dan kerukunan ke generasi muda. Pembelajaran PAK mengajarkan tentang “kasih persaudaraan” yang perlu dijunjung sehingga tidak membiarkan perbedaan maupun kemajemukan masyarakat, termasuk dalam konteks beragama sebagai alasan untuk berperilaku yang dapat memecah belah persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa.

Abstract

The Sara Douda dance is a form of oral tradition cultural art that combines movement elements from original Loli dance accompanied by energetic traditional music, namely gongs and drums, as a powerful medium for expressing the experience of faith, namely gratitude to the Almighty for giving His blessings of life to the Loli community. Sara Douda is full of verbal and non-verbal symbols, rich in meaning, messages and cultural values ​​for the Loli community, used for social interaction and also as an expression of faith in the Most High. The aim of this research is to obtain an overview of the nature, form and meaning of Sara Douda cultural symbols as a form of expression of art, culture and faith of the Loli community in the study of Contextual Theology. This study uses qualitative methods and is analyzed narratively which shows that Sara Douda is a cultural symbol of the Loli people and also a symbol of their faith. Religious symbols allow individuals access to Divine reality and expression. their experience of faith in a cultural context. The verbal and nonverbal symbols in Sara Douda show the Loli Community's faith and belief in God, the Creator of heaven and earth as in the expression Ama wolo Ama rawi. Their offerings of praise and thanksgiving are expressed through poetry in the form of verses and lines as well as beautiful dances from time to time, from generation to generation until now contextual in social life.
