This research uses qualitative methods of literature studies, by collecting and analyzing data from books, scientific journals, and digital sources relevant to AI-based learning and Islamic Family Education. The results show that AI and digital platforms have the potential to improve the formation of children's Islamic character through interactive and visual learning experiences that support moral and spiritual development. However, the study also highlights the existence of ethical risks such as exposure to inappropriate content, as well as excessive dependence on technology that can weaken the immediate moral role of parents. Compared to traditional Islamic educational methods such as example, advice, and habituation. Digital Learning offers flexibility and accessibility, but it lacks in emotional depth and spiritual experience.

Abstract

The study of Islamic social political critique has developed as an important part of contemporary Islamic discourse that highlights the relationship between religion, power, social structure, and global political dynamics. Although the number of scholarly publications on this theme has shown a significant increase, the existing literature is still fragmented and dominated by external perspectives, particularly from the Western social science tradition. Therefore, systematic mapping is needed to understand the direction of development, epistemological structure, and thematic tendency of the study of socio-political criticism of Islam in the international academic literature. This study aims to map and analyze the development of Islamic social political critique studies through a bibliometric approach using 119 scientific documents indexed in the Scopus database. The data was analyzed quantitatively and visually through mapping of publication distribution by year, journal source, author productivity, institutional affiliation, country of origin, as well as keyword network analysis using VOSviewer software. This approach allows the identification of knowledge production patterns, academic relationships, and temporal and thematic shifts in the focus of studies. The results show that the study of Islamic social political critique has experienced consistent growth, especially since the 2010s, and has developed into an established theme in global academic discourse. The production of knowledge is dominated by Western countries, particularly the United States and the United Kingdom, while the contribution of Muslim countries is still relatively limited. From a thematic perspective, Islamic socio-political critical discourse tends to be concentrated on ideological issues such as Islamophobia, secularism, colonialism, and modernity, with Islam more often positioned as an object of criticism than as an epistemic subject. This study concludes that although the intensity of Islamic social political critique studies is quite high, there are still epistemological inequalities in the perspectives used. Therefore, this study affirms the importance of developing a more dialogical and balanced socio-political critique of Islam, in particular by strengthening an approach rooted in the Islamic intellectual tradition itself. These findings are expected to be a starting point for further research that expands and deepens the contribution of critical Islamic studies in a global context.

Abstract

Objective: This research systematically investigates the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to facilitate personalized learning pathways in Qur'anic education, focusing on phonetic accuracy (tajwid) and student engagement. The study aims to bridge the gap between traditional instruction and modern "precision pedagogy" through a synthesis of multidisciplinary evidence. Methodology: Adhering to the PRISMA protocol, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted on 25 high-impact, peer-reviewed studies. The analysis utilized the Input-Process-Output (IPO) framework to classify AI applications, ranging from Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT to Deep Learning algorithms like CNN and U-Net, adapted from precision medical technologies. Findings: The literature synthesis reveals that AI-assisted tactical instruction significantly outperforms traditional methods in improving phonetic precision and reducing "speech anxiety." Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) integrated with LLMs provide measurable, instantaneous feedback, while the anthropomorphic features of AI assistants enhance learning motivation. However, technical effectiveness is mediated by the Uncanny Valley effect and the digital literacy of religious educators. Implications: The results suggest that "Precision Pedagogy" can standardize Qur'anic learning globally without neglecting individual cognitive needs. Policymakers and Islamic institutions should prioritize AI ethical frameworks and data privacy, utilizing synthetic data to protect students' biometric voice identities. Originality: This study is among the first to adapt concepts from precision oncology and multi-omic integration into Islamic Education, proposing a novel "Qur'anic ITS" architectural model that balances technical precision with ethical-spiritual sustainability.

Abstract

The rapid development of intelligent technologies has significantly accelerated innovation in Islamic education. However, such innovation has largely been dominated by a technical-instrumental approach that prioritizes efficiency and system performance, often marginalizing ethical considerations and the normative goals of Islamic education. This study aims to analyze innovation in Islamic education in the era of intelligent technology from an ethical and value-based perspective and to reconstruct an innovation framework aligned with the fundamental objectives of Islamic education. Employing a qualitative approach with a library research design, this study utilizes qualitative content analysis of reputable academic literature on Islamic education, intelligent technology, and educational ethics. The findings reveal that innovation in Islamic education undergoes transformations across pedagogical, institutional–managerial, and epistemological domains, each carrying significant ethical implications for pedagogical relationships, scholarly authority, and educational orientation. As a conceptual contribution, this study proposes an ethical framework for innovation in Islamic education that positions technology as a supportive instrument, human beings as the primary subjects of education, and Islamic values as the normative compass guiding innovation. The study concludes that sustainable innovation in Islamic education must integrate technological advancement with the cultivation of moral character, ethical awareness, and students’ spiritual development.

Abstract

Internationalizing Islamic higher education requires universities to cultivate enduring community values alongside academic excellence. This study examines the role of Islamic education in promoting community values among international students at Muhammadiyah University Surakarta, addressing what forms enact these values, which factors shape them, and what implications follow for belonging and participation. Using a qualitative descriptive design, we analysed interviews, focus group discussions, non-participant observations, and institutional documents. Participants were purposively selected to reflect diverse nationalities. Data were coded iteratively and thematically, with triangulation, peer debriefing, and reflections supporting trustworthiness. Findings show a three-channel ecosystem: formal curriculum linking theology, ethics, and jurisprudence to daily practice; extracurricular platforms (study circles and service) translating principles into action; and institutional culture embedding value-bearing routines. Four conditions influenced value formation: cultural diversity and peer interaction, dialogic pedagogy, institutional support systems, and language proficiency. These dynamics yielded transformative outcomes moral resilience in addressing dilemmas, social cohesion through a shared moral vocabulary of justice, compassion, and responsibility, and intercultural competence oriented to global citizenship. The study refines an integrative framework connecting curricular, co-curricular, and cultural channels to value internalization and identifies practical levers for inclusive design. Future research should test these pathways longitudinally and across Islamic university traditions.

Abstract

This article examines the position of teachers in contemporary education through a pedagogical study of the content of Qur’anic Surah Al-Mujādilah (58) verse 11. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics and challenges of contemporary education, to examine the position of teachers in both national and international contexts, and to reveal the Qur’anic pedagogical foundations concerning teachers’ dignity and justice. This research employs a qualitative approach based on library research using the pedagogical exegesis method (Tafsir Tarbawi), focusing on conceptual and normative analysis of the Qur’anic text as well as scholarly literature on contemporary education and teacher professionalism. The findings indicate that contemporary education is characterized by the dominance of instrumental rationality, the standardization of educational systems, and increasing professional demands on teachers that are not always accompanied by social recognition and structural justice. This condition creates a gap between the professionalism expected of teachers and the social status they receive. Qur’anic Surah Al-Mujādilah (58) verse 11 provides a pedagogical foundation that emphasizes the elevation of rank based on faith and knowledge; therefore, dignity, moral integrity, and social justice become fundamental principles in understanding teacher professionalism. This study affirms that the Qur’anic perspective offers a relevant value framework for reaffirming the dignity of teachers within contemporary educational systems.
