Abstract

The availability of health service facilities certainly contributes to one of the success factors in the distribution of health services in Indonesia, including renal replacement therapy (RRT) services. Through Minister of Health Regulation (PMK) No. 8 of 2022, the government ensures that patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) receive equal access to RRT. One of the efforts to equalize dialysis services is implementing Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) services. Therefore, RSUD Kota Bogor must prepare for CAPD services in its dialysis installations. This research analyzes the readiness and efforts to provide CAPD services at RSUD Kota Bogor. This study employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach to examine the preparation and readiness of RSUD Kota Bogor to provide CAPD services. Most of the CAPD service readiness assessment instruments at RSUD Kota Bogor, based on PMK No. 8 of 2022, have been fulfilled, achieving an 80% compliance rate. However, there is still a need to prepare facilities, infrastructure, and Standard Operating Procedures (SPO) that have not yet been completed so that CAPD services can be effectively implemented.

Abstract

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is an important part of fulfilling infant nutrition to achieve optimal growth and development in early life and subsequent growth. Some mothers cannot provide exclusive breastfeeding, especially working mothers. The purpose of this study was to analyze health policies on providing exclusive breastfeeding to working mothers. This study is a systematic review conducted in 2024 which was taken from the search site "google scholar". The articles selected after going through the process of identification, screening and determining the inclusion criteria were 9 articles. Working mothers face major challenges in providing exclusive breastfeeding to their babies. This challenge arises because of the conflict between work and family demands, busy work schedules, lack of flexibility, and inadequate lactation facilities in the workplace are the main obstacles, lack of social support from the surrounding environment also exacerbates the situation, stress due to work and family demands can affect breast milk production and make mothers feel uncomfortable while breastfeeding. However, with strong support from various parties, such as companies, families, and communities, working mothers can overcome these challenges and continue to provide exclusive breastfeeding. Comprehensive solutions are needed to address this complex problem, such as providing adequate lactation facilities, company policies that support breastfeeding, and socialization about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

The development of sharia-based hospitals in Indonesia began with the Indonesian Islamic Health Effort Assembly (MUKISI) in collaboration with the National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI) with the issuance of fatwa No. 107 / DSN-MUI / X / 2016 concerning Guidelines for Implementing Hospitals Based on Sharia Principles. One of them is Sari Asih Sangiang Hospital (RSSA) in the city of Tangerang, which has received sharia certification since 2018. Sharia hospitals guideline regulates Sharia Minimal Service Standards (SPM). The SPM contains regulations of reciting basmalah before procedures, hijab for patients and breastfeeding mother, mandatory training for patient's fiqh, Islamic education, gender-based ECG usage, using of hijab in the operating room, and scheduling elective surgery which not constrained by prayer times. This study uses a qualitative approach through report document review on the implementation of sharia quality indicators. The indicator format is determined by checklist, survey, medical record document; daily, monthly, and annual census recapitulation; secondary data from previous research, related literature, and in-depth interviews with correspondent criteria who responsible for implementing Sharia Quality at Sari Asih Sangiang Hospital. The results show that Sari Asih Sangiang Hospital has implemented Sharia SPM optimally, whose implementation refers to the standards and guidelines for the implementation of sharia hospitals issued by the DSN-MUI but is still constrained with the data recording problem. We suggest to put forward the need for coaching and training in Human Resources, and data recording should be done more regularly in order to maximize achievement targets.

Abstract

The Unmet Need for Family Planning (KB) in 2019 is still far from the 2015-2019 Strategic Plan target set at 9.91 percent. Seventeen provinces have a percentage of Unmet Need KB above the national figure (14.4 percent). One of them is WestJava Province, with a percentage of Unmet Need of 14.8%. Provinces with a high number ofUnmet Needs require the attention of policymakers, especially in the COVID-19 pandemic. West Java is the high-risk red zone category of COVID-19. Increased public awareness of the transmission of Covid-19 is an additional constraint to reducing the Unmet Need for family planning in the community. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the determinants of Unmet Need as a basis for formulating policies on family planning services appropriate to be applied during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research used mixed methods with SKAP 2019 data as secondary data to identify determinants of Unmet Need for Family Planning inWestJava, and primary data in the formof in-depth interviews with family planning service stakeholders to explore the implementation of family planning services in West Java, including the COVID-19 pandemicsituation. Furthermore, multinomial logistic regression using in the data analysis. The results showed that the variables that had a statistically significant effect on Unmet Need Spacing were age (OR = 0.485) and never visits health facilities (OR = 1.616). While thevariables that have a significant effect on Unmet Need Limiting are the variable age (OR = 7.101), the number of living children more than 3 (OR= 1.466), ruralresidence (OR= 0.528),and the median wealth index (OR = 1.536)

Abstract

A favorable work environment will influence the quality of work life, would create quality human resources, and support the improvements in the quality of services. To discover the correlation betweem the quality of work life and the employees’ performance at Ogan Ilir District General Hospital, a study was performed in March-April 2018. The study was a cross sectional quantitative study on 315 civil servants and voluntary staff at the hospital. Univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis was performed using the chi-square and the double regression prediction/determinant model. We discovered that the quality of the work life at the hospital was lacking, particularly for pride in their place of work, employee involvement/participation, and the facilities provided to the employees. It was also discovered that of the 315 employees, 164 (51.1%) employees had low performance index and there was a significant correlation between the employee involvement/participation and the facilities provided to the employees with their performance. Therefore, the three components that was correlated strongly with employee performance was employee involvement/participation [Odds Ratio (OR): 2.190, Confidence Interval (CI): 95%, P <0.001], facilities provided (OR: 2.670; CI 95%, p < 0.000), and work safety (OR: 0.972, CI 95%, p = 0.911).
