Abstract

The community service program conducted in the fostered village of LPPM USU, namely Kuta Mbelin Village, STM Hulu District, Deliserdang Regency, which already has a village information system (https://s.id/kutambelin) as a manifestation of a digital village, should convert the population data processed conventionally into population data that can be integrated with the village's needs. This includes the ability to monitor population growth, facilitate correspondence and archiving, obtain village population statistics, and more. To improve this data, the fostered village team is implementing an open-source Village Information System, commonly known as Open SID. The data processed by the village using MS Excel covers two hamlets out of the three in Kuta Mbelin village. Hamlet I has 261 residents and Hamlet II has 532 residents, while Hamlet III is still being processed by the village operator. This existing population data needs to be refined and integrated into the Open SID-based population data platform by first performing data cleaning to ensure it can be incorporated into the village information system. The data entry process is continuously carried out by the LPPM USU community service team and village operators, involving USU MBKM KKN students in the village.

Abstract

Cara untuk mengamankan citra dapat dilakukan dengan kriptografi. Penelitian pada algoritma kriptografi sudah cukup banyak berkembang. Beberapa penelitian menyebutkan bahwa menggabungkan dua algoritma kriptografi dapat lebih meningkatkan keamanan dari citra dibandingkan dengan hanya satu algoritma. Penelitian ini melakukan enkripsi menggunakan kombinasi dua algoritma yaitu teknik transposisi segitiga dan Hill Cipher. Proses penggabungan dua algoritma dilakukan dengan terlebih dahulu mengenkripsi menggunakan teknik transposisi segitiga dan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan Hill Cipher. Begitu juga dengan proses dekripsi yang dilakukan secara kebalikannya. Pada penelitian ini menghasilkan performa yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan menggunakan satu metode yang dapat dilihat pada nilai rata-rata MSE yang besar yaitu 10878,992 dan rata-rata PSNR yang kecil yaitu 0,781. Hal tersebut menandakan dengan menggabungkan dua algoritma dapat membuat pesan menjadi lebih aman. Metode dalam penelitian ini juga berhasil mengembalikan citra dangan baik tanpa adanya penambahan maupun pengurangan yang dapat dilihat dari hasil MSE dan PSNR yaitu 0 dan ∞.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a new method called pasca-multidimensional scaling (pasca-MDS) by modifying the multidimensional scaling (MDS) method, the developed model comes as a solution to overcome the problem of data complexity by reducing its description dimension without losing important information. This model, offers an innovative approach in dealing with these problems. Pasca-MDS not only focuses on reducing the dimensionality of data, but also retains the essence of relevant information from each data point. As such, it allows for easier and more efficient analysis without compromising the accuracy of the information conveyed. The main advantage of pasca-MDS lies in its ability to produce simpler visual representations while maintaining the original structure of complex data. This provides clarity and ease in understanding the patterns or relationships hidden within. By using adjustment techniques after the MDS process, this model can provide more optimized results. This process allows the adjustment of data points to achieve a better representation in a lower dimensional space, resulting in a more intuitive and easy-to-understand interpretation. The developed distance formula has the ability to minimize stress compared to other distance formulas in MDS space, with the aim of improving the accuracy of high-dimensional data visualization.

Abstract

This study investigates the correlation between Tesla's stock prices and the prices of the two leading cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin and Ethereum, from 2010 to 2024. By employing both Pearson and Spearman correlation analyses, the research identifies strong positive correlations between these assets, with Tesla-Bitcoin showing a Pearson coefficient of 0.76 and Tesla-Ethereum at 0.82. The Spearman correlations further validate these findings, indicating that Tesla's stock prices are significantly aligned with the movements of Bitcoin and Ethereum. The results suggest that similar market forces and investor sentiments influence both Tesla and these cryptocurrencies. This strong correlation implies that investors should be cautious when seeking diversification, as these assets tend to move together, potentially amplifying portfolio risk. The study's findings underscore the importance of considering cross-market dynamics in investment strategies and highlight the interconnectedness of traditional and digital financial markets. Future research could explore the relationships between other technology stocks and digital assets, as well as the evolving correlations in response to major market events.

Abstract

Abstract: The digital transformation of village administration has become an urgent need to enhance public service efficiency and ensure transparent local governance. This study analyzes the implementation of the Village Information System (SID) in Kuta Mbelin Village, STM Hulu Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency, as a mechanism for supporting administrative digitalization. It also evaluates the role of information technology in village governance and the integration of village statistical data within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The research employs a combination of literature review, field observation, and interviews with village officials and community members. The findings indicate that the adoption of SID in Kuta Mbelin Village improves administrative efficiency, accelerates public service delivery, and enables evidence-based data management that supports sustainable village development planning. This study recommends enhancing SID by integrating data analytics and strengthening information security to maximize its usefulness in village governance. Penelitian ini menganalisis implementasi Sistem Informasi Desa (SID) di Desa Kuta Mbelin, Kecamatan STM Hulu, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, dalam mendukung digitalisasi administrasi desa. Studi ini juga mengevaluasi peran teknologi informasi dalam tata kelola pemerintahan desa serta integrasi data statistik desa dalam perspektif Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi studi literatur, observasi lapangan, dan wawancara dengan perangkat desa serta masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan SID di Desa Kuta Mbelin meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi, mempercepat pelayanan publik, dan memungkinkan pengelolaan data berbasis bukti yang mendukung perencanaan pembangunan desa berkelanjutan. Abstract

Abstract: The Human Development Index (HDI) is an important indicator for measuring the quality of regional development through the dimensions of health, education, and decent living standards. In North Sumatra Province, HDI achievements between districts/cities still show significant disparities, requiring a data-based analytical approach to map development patterns objectively. This study aims to optimize the validity of regional HDI clustering through the application of the K-Means++ algorithm with distance measure variations. This study uses a quantitative approach with an unsupervised learning method. The data analyzed includes HDI, Average Length of Schooling (ALS), and Adjusted Per Capita Expenditure sourced from the Central Statistics Agency. The research stages include data preprocessing and standardization, determining the optimal number of clusters using the Elbow method, applying the K-Means++ algorithm, and evaluating cluster quality using the Davies–Bouldin Index (DBI) and Purity Index. In addition, a comparison of clustering performance based on Euclidean, Manhattan, and Cosine distances was conducted. The results of the study show that the optimal number of clusters is three clusters representing high, medium, and low levels of human development. A DBI value of 0.60 and a Purity Index of 0.61 indicate good clustering quality. Euclidean and Manhattan distances produced the best performance compared to Cosine distance. Abstrak: Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) merupakan indikator penting untuk mengukur kualitas pembangunan wilayah melalui dimensi kesehatan, pendidikan, dan standar hidup layak. Di Provinsi Sumatera Utara, capaian IPM antar kabupaten/kota masih menunjukkan ketimpangan yang cukup signifikan, sehingga diperlukan pendekatan analitis berbasis data untuk memetakan pola pembangunan secara objektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan validitas klasterisasi IPM wilayah melalui penerapan algoritma K-Means++ dengan variasi distance measure. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode unsupervised learning. Data yang dianalisis meliputi IPM, Rata Lama Sekolah (RLS), dan Pengeluaran per Kapita Disesuaikan yang bersumber dari Badan Pusat Statistik. Tahapan penelitian mencakup praproses dan standarisasi data, penentuan jumlah klaster optimal menggunakan metode Elbow, penerapan algoritma K-Means++, serta evaluasi kualitas klaster menggunakan Davies–Bouldin Index (DBI) dan Purity Index. Selain itu, dilakukan perbandingan kinerja klasterisasi berdasarkan Euclidean, Manhattan, dan Cosine distance. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah klaster optimal adalah tiga klaster yang merepresentasikan tingkat pembangunan manusia tinggi, menengah, dan rendah. Nilai DBI sebesar 0,60 dan Purity Index sebesar 0,61 menunjukkan kualitas klasterisasi yang baik. Euclidean dan Manhattan distance menghasilkan performa terbaik dibandingkan Cosine distance. Abstract

The use of online food ordering through food systems or applications continues to increase, requiring vendors to implement marketing and sales strategies through surveys, feedback. The problems that arise are building a system analysis model from a collection of tweets with hashtags or usernames for ordering food online . The Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm is used for text classification. Tweets are collected into data sets, training data, and testing data, then a classification model of the SVM Algorithm is built. Preprocessing data, tweets are cleansing, tokenized, and stopword remove. From the collected tweets, they are grouped into 10 variables to identify demographic profiles. The results of the analysis are classified as positive sentiments, namely residence, price range, using promos, paid types, halal food while negative sentiments are ethnicity, culture, vegetarianism, place. Classification accuracy is important to validate the results of the SVM model. From 500 train data tweet, the resulting classification is 66% positive sentiment and 34% negative sentiment. Overall accuracy model Linier SVM result 83.2% with accuracy 92.55%.

Abstract

Indonesia has many disaster-prone areas, natural disasters that occur in Indonesia in 2021 are 5,402 disasters. For disaster management in post-disaster areas, logistical planning is needed in the distribution of logistical assistance, it is estimated that the logistics costs of disaster assistance reach approximately 80% of the total costs in disaster management so that logistical assistance is an expensive activity of disaster relief. However, so far the process of distributing logistical assistance to disaster posts has not been evenly distributed. One of the causes of the unequal distribution is the inappropriate selection of distribution post locations. The facility location model is dynamic and has the objective function of minimizing the distance between emergency posts and refugee posts in terms of distribution of disaster relief goods in one cluster group. For grouping unsupervised learning data using a machine learning clustering algorithm, k-means. Model validation has been carried out using max run and max optimization 1000 times with results reaching 90%. This proves that the emergency facility location model can be used to determine the location of the emergency center, where the determination of the location of the emergency center has the closest distance to the request point/post shelter for disaster victims
