Abstract

Kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan desain pembelajaran merupakan faktor penting yang menentukan ketercapaian kompetensi peserta didik. Modeling Instruction merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang revelan dengan pembelajaran IPA di sekolah.  Kegiatan ini merupakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk bimbingan teknis untuk memberikan wawasan pada guru dalam memahami pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Modeling Instruction dan cara merancang RPP berbasis Modeling Instruction. Pekaksanaan bimbingan teknis dilaksanakan secara online (dalam jaringan) dari tanggal 1 Agustus 2020 sampapi 7 Agustus 2020. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilkaukan dengan menggunakan Zoom Meeting untuk platform pertemuan online dan WhatsApp Group sebagai sarana diskusi. Dalam bimbingan teknis ini, guru tidak diawajibkan hingga menyelesaikan RPP karena tujuan utamanya adalah agar guru dapat memahami pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Modeling Instruction. Jumlah peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan adalah 784 guru dari berbagai Provinsi di Indonesia. Adapun jumlah guru yang menyelesaikan RPP adalah 257 guru. Pelaksanaan bimbingan teknis menunjukkan hasil yang cukup baik, diindikasikan oleh kualitas RPP guru yang sudah baik dan hasil survey dari guru yang menunjukkan bahwa (1) pelaksanaan bimbingan teknis berguna; (2) paparan materi mudah dipahami; (3) penggunaan media zoom efektif dalam pelaksanaan bimbingan teknis; dan (4) penggunaan WhatsApp group sebagai sarana diskusi yang efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman konsep fisika peserta didik pada materi suhu dan kalor. Responden terdiri dari 48 peserta didik SMA Negeri 1 Singosari kelas XI. Instrumen penelitian berupa 10 soal tes pilihan ganda yang berbantuan aplikasi online Quizizz. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan, pemahaman konsep peserta didik terkait materi suhu dan kalor dengan kategori sedang (48%). Beberapa peserta didik masih mengalami kesalahan dalam memahami beberapa konsep suhu dan kalor, diantaranya peserta didik belum paham tentang pemuaian keping bimetal pada sakelar otomatis, peserta didik menganggap kalor jenis berhubungan dengan perubahan suhu suatu benda, dan konsep peserta didik kurang tepat tentang perpindahan panas secara konduksi.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the results of the development of a test instrument for problem solving abilities. Topics focused on Work and Energy. This article was the result of research and development (R&D) by adapting the 4D model. Define done by analyzing the needs that exist in Universitas Negeri Malang. The design phase was carried out by determining the question indicators that were in accordance with the CPMK course in Basic Physics I, the appropriate cognitive domain, determining the answer key, and scoring rubric. The develop phase was carried out in three steps, namely validation by experts, legibility testing, and empirical testing. The results of research and development obtained intrument tests of feasible problem solving abilities based on the results of (1) the validators state that the instruments in the category were very feasible; (2) the readability test respondents state that the instrument is very good; and (3) empirical tests related to validity and reliability with the results of all items are valid at a significance level of 0.05 and reliable with Cronbach's Alpha coefficient is 0.746.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the students' conceptual understanding on the concept of work and energy. In this study focused on discussing the ability of students to understand the concept of kinetic energy. To achieve this goal, 5 reasoned multiple choice questions were used. The question is a standard test of basic physics lectures at UM. This research is a descriptive research. The study was conducted on 50 students in the "Physics Content and Its Pedagogic I" course. The results showed that only 13 (26%) students correctly answered the relationship of K(x) from the F(x) graph and 10 (20%) students who correctly answered the K ratio of the two objects driven by the same force and displacement. Students' difficulties when solve the questions are more likely to be caused by the habits of students using mathematical equations without understanding their physical meaning, in addition students also have weaknesses in mathematical operations.

Abstract

Dalam memahami konsep Fisika secara utuh, mahasiswa banyak mengalami kesulitan karena miskonsepsi (memahami konsep secara keliru dengan konsisten). Namun terkadang kesulitan tersebut disebabkan karena pemahaman mahasiswa yang tidak utuh (teori resource). Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap kesulitan mahasiswa dalam memahami konsep kinematika. Penelitian dilakukan pada 100 mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika tahun pertama. Dengan menggunakan 5 soal pilihan ganda beralasan, pilihan jawaban mahasiswa menjadi sumber data kuantitatif sedangkan alasan jawaban mahasiswa menjadi sumber data kualitatif. Data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik desktiptif. Sementara itu, data kualitatif dianalisis menggunakan tahapan analisis Miles and Huberman untuk melihat level pemahaman mahasiswa dan resource yang diaktivasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mahasiswa dalam memahami konsep kinematika masih cenderung rendah. Hal tersebut diindikasi dari rata-rata skor pemahaman konsep kinematika yang hanya mencapai 37,00. Selain itu, rata-rata mahasiswa dengan level pemahaman mantap (Sound Understanding) hanya mencapai 7,2% dan resource yang diaktivasi dalam menajawab soal menunjukkan adanya pemahaman yang masih belum utuh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi mahasiswa pada topik suhu dan kalor. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang dilakukan pada 82 mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Fisika yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah Fisika Dasar I. Identifikasi miskonsepsi dilakukan dengan memberikan 10 soal two tier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa mengalami miskonsepsi pada seluruh sub topik yakni, kesetimbangan termal, pengaruh kalor terhadap perubahan suhu, pengaruh kalor terhadap perubahan wujud zat, perpindahan kalor, pemuaian, dan Azas Black. Miskonsepsi dalam kategori sedang dengan rata-rata miskonsepsi 51,22% mahasiswa.

Abstract

This article discusses to reveal students' conceptual understanding in determining the direction of acceleration in two-dimensional movements, with special cases of pendulum motion. To achieve this goal, there are 3 reasoned multiple choice questions which are part of 20 conceptual kinematics questions. The study was conducted on 37 first year physics education master students at Universitas Negeri Malang. This research is quantitative descriptive. Research data shows that students' understanding is still low, only 4 (10.81%) students answer the first question correctly, 3 (8.11%) students answer the second question correctly, and 24 (64%) students answer question correctly. Based on the answer analysis, students are indicated due experience errors, such as (1) the acceleration of the object is always in the direction of motion, (2) at the highest point the object pauses, accelerates zero, and (3) the pendulum had zero acceleration in lowest position because the velocity is maximum.

Abstract

This research was conducted to develop discovery learning-based E-modulees combined with PhET in kinetik gas theory materials with the aim of: 1) producing discovery learning-based E-modulee products in the analysekinetik theory of gassesmaterial subjects for students. (2) knowing the feasibility of discovery learning-based E-modulee products in kinetik gas theory material for students. referring to the R&D (reaserch and development) method of the step of development refers to Thiagarajan (4D) which has been adapted to the purpose of research only until the development stage. The development procedures in this study include define, design, and development. This research resulted in a product in the form of discovery learning based emodules on the subject matter of kinetik gas for students with a decent category. Based on the results of validation by experts, the overall product feasibility percentage is 87.7%, which means that the product falls into very valid criteria. The readability test conducted on 14 students of physics education UM obtained an average reading result of 96.4% of the readability criteria included in the legible category.

Abstract

This research was conducted to develop a computer-assisted recitation program on statics fluid topics The type of research used is R & D (Research and Development) by adapting the Four-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) developed by Thiagarajan, but the research carried out is limited to the develop stage. The product has been validated by 2 media experts in the field of physics education. The feasibility test was carried out on 97 students who took Basic Physics I courses. Based on the results of validation by experts, the average value was 3.74 for content validation and 3.56 for product validation with valid criteria. The feasibility test obtained a proportion of 92.58% in the eligible criteria.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap resouces yang diaktivasi siswa ketika menjawab soal terkait gaya apung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan instrumen tes 20 soal pilihan ganda beralasan pada topik fluida statis dan didukung dengan wawancara. Namun dalam artikel ini dibahas 1 soal terkait gaya Archimedes. Penelitian dilakukan pada 39 siswa kelas XI SMAN 5 Jambi. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan ide naive terkait gaya apung. Ide tersebut berasal dari resource berupa “benda akan bergerak naik jika gaya ke atas lebih besar”.Kata kunci: Resources, gaya Archimedes This article aims to reveal students-activated resouces when they are solving the buoyancy force questions. This study used survey method with 20 MCQs reasoned on static fluid and supported by interviews. But in this article discussed a question related to buoyancy force. The study was conducted on 39 students of grade XI SMAN 5 Jambi. The results obtained show the naive-related idea of buoyancy force. The idea comes from a resource in the form of " the object will move up if the upward force is bigger than downward force".Keywords: Resources, buoyancy force
