Abstract

Desa Jambuwer Kecamatan Kromengan merupakan salah satu desa yang sedang berusaha untuk menjadi desa wisata. Potensi yang dimiliki desa jambuwer yaitu wisata edukasi jowaran dan wisata air ambya’an. Untuk wisata Ambya’an sendiri memiliki beberapa aspek yang dapat dikembangkan. Hasil identifikasi masalah dan analisis kebutuhan yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa wisata Ambya’an Desa Jambuwer membutuhkan beberapa pengembangan, terutama pengembangan taman. Berdasarkan hasil koordinasi dengan tim pengelola wisata, tim pengabdian masyarakat berhasil membantu pengembangan taman. Beberapa pengembangan kedepan yang dapat dilakukan untuk wisata ini adalah perbaikan kolam, fasilitas gazebo, dan perbaikan akses jalan.

Abstract

A structured and comprehensive understanding of physics concepts is crucial to physics learning. Such proficiency is characterized by the consistency in students' thought processes across multiple representations. This research aims to ascertain the consistency in the thought processes of first-year students when determining distance in multiple representations. This study employed a descriptive research design with a quantitative-qualitative approach, involving 77 students as research subjects. The participants are divided into classes: Class H with 41 students and Class I with 36 students. Data analysis techniques included quantitative descriptive analysis and Huberman and Miles' analysis. The research instrument consisted of 28 reasoned multiple-choice items that have undergone validation. The findings indicate that only 8 (10.39%) students possess a precise and consistent understanding of the definition of distance, applying it across various representations. A small proportion (12.99%) experiences misconceptions. These research findings corroborate previous studies, emphasizing that, in general, first-year students are novices in physics.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan modul elektronik berbasis multimedia dengan asesmen formatif pada materi fluida statis dan mengetahui tingkat kelayakannya. Jenis penlitian yang digunakan adalah Reseach and Development (RnD) dengan menggunakan metode 4D (Define, Design, Delompent, Desseminate). Namun penelitian ini hanya sampai tahap development. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari angket validasi ahli materi dan media, dan instrumen uji kelayakan media. Penelitian dilakukan pada 2 ahli yang terdiri dari dosen dan guru, dan 135 siswa kelas XI. Hasil penelitian berhasil mengembangkan modul elektronik berbasis multimedia dengan asesmen formatif pada materi fluida statis. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian angket validasi media, angket validasi materi, dan angket uji kelayakan diperoleh rata-rata presentase sebesar 91,67%, 90,83%, dan 87,36% sehingga media dalam kategori sangat layak. Meskipun layak digunakan, media ini memiliki kelemahan yakni memerlukan penyimpanan yang besar karena menggunakan aplikasi PowerPoint. Oleh karena itu, peneliti berikutnya diharapkan dapat mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dengan mengembangkan media menggunakan aplikasi lain

Abstract

Conceptual understanding of physics is one of the important factors to improve the quality of learning physics. However, several studies have shown that student’s  conceptual understanding is low, especially in static fluid material. Several studies have attempted to use recitation programs and have succeeded in increasing understanding of the concept. Student's conceptual understanding can be improved through independent learning. Independent learning can use recitation programs, but not many available static fluid recitation programs are equipped with concept explanations and do not yet cover students who study in a formal and boarding school system, such as boarding school students. Existing recitation programs are widely used by students to support independent learning. Recitation of students is still rare because of the lack of independent learning. Therefore, this study aims to improve boarding school student’s conceptual understanding in static fluid material through recitation program. This research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental and one group pretest-posttest design. The recitation program is given in the form of an interesting computer-assisted animation outside of learning. The subjects of this study were 40 students of class XI Natural Science 1 at the SMA International Islamic Boarding School Ar-Rohmah Dau, Malang. The research instruments included valid recitation programs and pretest-posttest questions. Data obtained from the results of the conceptual understanding test supported by interviews. The results showed that there was an increase in students' understanding of the concept which was calculated through an N-gain of 0.45 in the medium category and an effect-size of 1.68 in the strong category. The findings of this study imply that the recitation program can improve student's understanding of concepts like previous research, and practically that teachers can utilize the recitation program as student learning material.

Abstract

Telah dikembangkan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM) berbasis Prediction, Observation, and Explanation (POE) pada topik fluida statis. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan validasi LKM berbasis POE, mendiskripsikan respon, dan mendiskrisikan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa setelah menggunakan LKM berbasis POE. Pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. LKM telah divalidasi dan dilakukan uji terbatas kepada beberapa mahasiswa. Setelah dilakukan revisi, uji coba terbatas dilakukan kepada 25 mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Fisika pada perkuliahan Fisika Dasar I. Kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa diperoleh dari tes. Informasi kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa diperoleh dari perolehan skor untuk tiap indikator. Dari analisis yang di dapat, seluruh indikator memperoleh hasil validasi ahli dengan kategori sangat valid. Mahasiswa secara keseluruhan memberikan respon positif terhadap produk dan kemampuan berpikir kritis secara keseluruhan sebesar 69,60% sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir mahasiswa berada pada kategori kritis.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the level of understanding (LoU) and resources that students activate. This is a descriptive study. The study used a survey method by distributing ten multiple-choice questions. The focus of the study is geometric optics. The research was conducted on 64 physics students who were taking Basic Physics III courses. Data analysis was carried out by determining descriptive statistics and categorizing students' LoU based on the reasons given. The LoU includes Sound Understanding, Partial Understanding, Partial Understanding with Specific Misconceptions, Specific Misconceptions, and Not Understanding. Based on the analysis of the research results, the average score of students' conceptual understanding was 53.44. Furthermore, the average levels of understanding are 15.9% for Sound Understanding, 28.1% for Partial Understanding, 14.7% for Partial Understanding with Specific Misconceptions, 16.4% for Specific Misconceptions, and 26.2% for Not Understanding. Meanwhile, the resource that is activated by students when showing possible rays in the formation of images on a convex lens is "there are only three possible rays". It means that students do not understand that it is not only "three special rays" reflected by objects towards the lens to form an image.

Abstract

This research was conducted to develop a recitation program on Newton's law and to test its practicality. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with a Four-D (4D) model with stages, namely Define (defining), Design (design), Develop (development), and Dissemenate (dissemination). The research subjects were 38 third semester physics students at the State University of Malang. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of media validity test questionnaires and content validity tests given to 2 validator lecturers, as well as practicality test questionnaires and perception questionnaires on the use of each item given to students. The data generated is the percentage of the assessment of the validity test, practicality test, and student perception questionnaires, as well as suggestions given by lecturers and students related to the recitation program. This research resulted in a recitation program in which there were 38 questions accompanied by feedback. The results of the content validity test obtained a value of 95.7%, while the results of the media validity test obtained a value of 93.75% so that it was included in the very valid category. Then, the results of the practicality questionnaire show that students agree that the recitation program can make it easier to understand Newton's law concepts, help strengthen their understanding of Newton's law concepts, and this program is interesting for them. Meanwhile, based on the results of the student perception test regarding the use of items, the average score was 96.6%, which means that the questions, feedback, and discussion videos in the recitation program are very easy to understand.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze how students' scientific literacy abilities are seen from their ability to solve physics questions on work and energy. The research design used is quantitative research with descriptive methods (quantitative descriptive). The population used in this research was the entire class X of SMK N 3 Tanjung Jabung Barat. The sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling because the initial data obtained from the entire population is normally distributed and homogeneous. The samples in this study were class X TKRO 1 and class X TKRO 2 because these two classes had the same number of students, namely 52 students. From the results of the data analysis that has been carried out, it can be stated that the level of students' scientific literacy abilities is 13.46% of students in the high category, 67.31% in the medium ability category, and 19.23% of students in the low category. On average, students' abilities are in the medium category.

Abstract

 Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengkaji kemungkinan penyebab terjadinya kekeliruan siswa dalam menjelaskan berbagai fenomena fisis, terutama karena kurangnya kemampuan dalam memahami konsep. Tidak seperti sudut pandang miskonsepsi, teori resource yang memandang bahwa kekeliruan siswa lebih dikarenakan pemahamannya yang belum utuh lebih jarang ditilik oleh peneliti, khususnya di Indonesia. Kajian mendalam terkait penyebab kekeliruan siswa menjadi sangat penting untuk kemudian digunakan sebagai acuan sebagai rancangan pembelajaran yang berkualitas. Dalam artikel ini akan dikaji kesulitan siswa dalam memahami konsep gaya menurut perspektif teori resource, serta alternatif pembelajaran untuk mereduksi kesalahan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep dan mengungkap kesalahan konsep mahasiswa dalam menentukan posisi, jarak tempuh, dan perpindahan pada gerak dua dimensi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri atas 50 mahasiswa baru S1 Pendidikan Fisika dan S1 Fisika Univeristas Negeri Malang. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas 8 soal pilihan ganda. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pemahaman konsep mahasiswa terkait posisi, jarak tempuh, dan perpindahan masih tergolong relatif rendah ditunjukkan dengan rata-rata perolehan skor yang hanya mencapai 43,48. Terdapat beberapa kekeliruan mahasiswa dalam menjawab soal, diantaranya: (1) posisi merupakan besaran skalar, (2) perpindahan merupakan besaran skalar, (3) perpindahan merupakan jumlah posisi () setiap waktu, (4) tidak memperhatikan tanda + dan – pada konsep posisi dan perpindahan, dan (5) kesulitan dalam menafsirkan grafik hubungan antara posisi dan waktu .
