Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of finding a feasible and practical Acceptance and Commitment Counseling (ACC) model to improve student self-compassion and self-regulated learning. A research and development design was used to achieve the stated objectives. In accordance with the chosen design, the research procedures included: a preliminary study to determine the need for the model; model planning; product draft development; product validation; product revision based on validation results; limited trials; revisions based on limited trial results; large-scale trials; final product revision; and dissemination of the final results. Data collection used a feasibility and practicality questionnaire completed by experts and product users. The feasibility test used the Aiken's V formula, and the practicality test used a practicality analysis based on the scores of each indicator in the practicality questionnaire. All procedures were implemented and resulted in: 1) a feasible ACC model, which was concluded based on the feasibility of each product tested. A score of 0.82 was obtained for the ACC model book, a score of 0.93 for the practice’s guide book for counselors and a score of 0.86 for the practice’s guide book for students; 2) the practical ACC model, this was concluded based on the practicality test of the practice’s guide product on counselors and students.

Abstract

The Guidance and Counseling (BK) profession is developing in line with the complexity of the needs of students and the demands of the professionalism of counselors. This study explores the ontology of the BK profession systematically, focusing on the concept, role, and professional identity of counselors. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on PRISMA, with an analysis of 7 selected scientific articles. The results show that counselors' professional identities are a dynamic construct formed through accredited education, practical experience, regulation, collective advocacy, cultural context, spiritual values, and social orientation. The role of a counselor is multidimensional, encompassing individual practice, leadership, advocacy, and social engagement, while the concept of a counselor encompasses professional knowledge, skills, and values. The ontology of the BK profession emphasizes that the reality of counselors is progressive, subjective, and contextual. Strengthening professional identity is the foundation of competence, ethics, and sustainability of BK services.

Abstract

Career guidance is closely related to the career development of high school students in the educational environment. Career guidance services have obstacles, one of which is that the service approach has not been running optimally so that one approach model is needed, one of which is discovery learning. The purpose of this study is to examine insights into analyzing career guidance services for high school students through the Discovery Learning approach. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach. This approach was chosen because it is to explore and analyze career guidance services for high school students through the Discovery Learning approach. Data sources used include accredited scientific journals and relevant research reports, especially those published in the last 5 years, to ensure the collected data is up-to-date and contextual. The analysis procedure was carried out by identifying the main themes that emerged in the literature related to career guidance services for high school students through the Discovery Learning approach. The results of the study show that the discovery learning approach in career guidance services can be developed through several steps or stages of service, which adapt the principles of discovery learning . The stages that are often used include: 1) Stimulus: 2) Problem identification, 3) Data / information collection 4) Processing and verification of information, 5) Generalization / reflection. In addition, the Discovery Learning approach increases students' active involvement in the career guidance service process, because students play an active role in finding information and constructing meaning for their own career understanding.

Abstract

Every individual has future career aspirations but often faces challenges in realising them. Early career awareness and planning through career exploration is an important factor in their achievement. In elementary school-aged children, this exploration is still at the fantasy stage, where they are interested in professions that they often see. This study examines the career fantasies of Generation Alpha and the factors that influence them. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, this study involved 100 students in grades 3-6 in a remote school in Lampung, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through an open-ended questionnaire related to professional interests, reasons for choosing a profession, and sources of information that influence career fantasies. The results showed that doctors, teachers, police, and soldiers were the most frequently chosen professions by students. Gender, family, school, and digital media influence career fantasies. The findings have implications for career education and guidance, supporting children's early career development. Keywords: career fantasies, alpha generation, digital technology, career development
