Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe; (1) image of Islamic Elementary School Mohammad Hatta; (2) educational services marketing strategy for image to the community at SD Islam Mohammad Hatta; (3) the success of the results of the marketing strategy for image to the public. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive case study research. The location of this research is in Mohammad Hatta Islamic Elementary School, Malang City. The data collection techniques used observation, interview, and observation techniques. This study uses a key informant, the principal of SD Islam Mohammad Hatta. The results of the study show that the educational services marketing strategy in building the image of the school in the eyes of the community is successful, as seen from a positive assessment of the image of the school and the increase in the number of students from year to year. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan; (1) gambaran citra SD Islam Mohammad Hatta; (2) strategi pemasaran jasa pendidikan untuk citra kepada masyarakat di SD Islam Mohammad Hatta; (3) keberhasilan hasil strategi pemasaran untuk citra kepada masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian ini berada di SD Islam Mohammad Hatta kota Malang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan observasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan informan kunci Kepala sekolah SD Islam Mohammad Hatta. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan strategi pemasaran jasa pendidikan dalam membangun citra sekolah dimata masyarakat berhasil, dilihat dari penilaian yang positif mengenai citra sekolah dan peningkatan jumlah peserta didik dari tahun ke tahun.

Abstract

Abstract: The learning community is a paradigm in education that affirms that learning outcomes are obtained from positive cooperation with other individuals. In the context of a learning community, it is necessary to develop a good curriculum to the level of classroom management in order to promote students lifelong learning. The purpose of this study was to find out significant documents from the construct of the learning community. The data source was obtained from the Google Scholar database with a total of 1000 documents in the period 2003-2022. Publish or Perish software is used to extract data. The results confirmed an increase in the number of publications of each developmental period (Birth, Development, Adulthood). The study presents 15 significant documents based on the number of citations in each developmental period and analysis of the content of the documents. Implications of the findings are discussed and future research opportunities are suggested.Keywords: Community Learning, Content Analysis, Publish or PerishAbstrak: Masyarakat belajar merupakan sebuah paradigma dalam pendidikan yang menegaskan bahwa hasil belajar diperoleh dari adanya kerjasama yang positif dengan individu lain. Dalam konteks masyarakat belajar, diperlukan pengembangan kurikulum yang baik sampai pada tataran pengelolaan kelas agar dapat mempromosikan siswa belajar sepanjang hayat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dokumen signifikan dari konstruk masyarakat belajar. Sumber data diperoleh dari database Google Scholar dengan total 1000 dokumen pada rentang waktu 2003-2022. Perangkat lunak Publish or Perish digunakan untuk mengekstrak data. Hasilnya menegaskan adanya peningkatan jumlah publikasi dari setiap periode perkembangan (Kelahiran, Perkembangan, Dewasa). Studi ini menyajikan 15 dokumen signifikan berdasarkan jumlah sitasi pada setiap periode perkembangan dan analisis isi dari dokumen. Implikasi dari temuan didiskusikan dan peluang penelitian masa depan disarankan.Kata kunci: masyarakat belajar, analisis isi, publish or perish

Abstract

Abstract: The zoning system is a policy for admitting prospective new students by using the radius closest to the school. This study aims to (1) find out how high the quality level of input is student, (2) find out how high the level of student learning achievement, (3) determine whether or not the zoning system has significant influence on learning achievement in terms of the quality input of student, (4) knowing whether or not there is a difference in thevalue input and student achievement in zoning and non-zoning systems. This study uses a quantitative approach with simple and comparative linear regression methods using data in the form of report cards and national examination scores. The conclusions of this study are: (1) there is a significant difference between the quality of input of students of the 2018/2019 class and the 2016/2017 class, (2) there is no significant difference between the learning achievement of students of the 2018/2019 class and the 2016/2017 class. (3) there is no influence of the zoning system on student achievement in terms of the quality input of studentin SMP Negeri 2 Jogoroto, Jombang Regency, (4) there is a difference in the sample mean of the two pairs ofquality input, but there is no difference in the average sample. on two pairs of learning achievement. Abstrak: Sistem zonasi merupakan kebijakan dalam penerimaan calon peserta didik baru dengan menggunakan radius jarak terdekat dengan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui seberapa tinggi tingkat kualitas input peserta didik, (2) mengetahui seberapa tinggi tingkat prestasi belajar peserta didik, (3) mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh yang signifikan sistem zonasi terhadap prestasi belajar ditinjau dari kualitas input peserta didik, (4) mengetahui ada atau tidak perbedaan nilai input dan prestasi belajar peserta didik pada sistem zonasi dan non zonasi. penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode regresi linier sederhana dan komparatif yang menggunakan data berupa nilai rapor dan nilai UN. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu: (1) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kualitas input peserta didik angkatan 2018/2019 dengan angkatan 2016/2017, (2) tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara prestasi belajar peserta didik angkatan 2018/2019 dengan angkatan 2016/2017, (3) tidak adanya pengaruh sistem zonasi terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik ditinjau dari kualitas input peserta didik di SMP Negeri 2 Jogoroto Kabupaten Jombang, (4) terdapat perbedaan rata-rata sampel pada dua pasangan kualitas input, namun tidak terdapat perbedaan rata-rata sampel pada dua pasangan prestasi belajar.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to: (1) describe the process of lesson study based instructional management; and (2) enhance students’ activity in lecturing by implementing the lesson study based instructional management. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative and classroom action research, which were implemented with two cycles, the first cycle and the second cycle. The research instruments were the lesson study observation sheet and students’ activity observation sheet during the learning process. The results showed that: (1) the process of lesson study based instructional management was a cyclical process involving the development of the lesson plans, the implementation of learning (do, open class), and the evaluation of learning (see), and (2) there was an improvement in terms of students’ activeness in following the lecturing activity when lesson study based instructional management was implemented.Keywords: instructional management, lesson study, students’ activityAbstrak:Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) mendeskripsikan proses manajemen pembelajaran berbasis lesson study; dan (2) meningkatkan keaktifan mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan dengan menerapkan manajemen pembelajaran berbasis lesson study. Abstract

This research aims to know students' perceptions of the competencies of pedagogical lecturers, the quality of administrative services, the completeness of the facilities supporting lectures, student satisfaction and its relationship with the motivation of student learning. The approach used is quantitative with the design of survey research. The research population was 3,702 of FIP UM students, while the sample was 361 students. The study was conducted in 2020. Sampling techniques using proportional sampling and simple random sampling. Data collection using questionnaires, meanwhile for data analysis using two kinds of analysis techniques, namely descriptive analysis and path analysis. The results showed: (1) the competency of pedagogic lecturers, and the quality of administrative services according to the perception of students in the category is quite good, while the student's perception of the completeness of the lecture support facilities in the category is quite complete, the student expresses satisfaction for the services received. But on the motivation of studying of FIP students have a low level; (2) there is an influence on the level of pedagogical competency of lecturers on the motivation of student learning; (3) there is an influence on the quality of administrative services on student learning motivation; (4) there is an influence on the completeness of the facilities to support lectures on the motivation of student learning; (5) there is an influence of satisfaction on the motivation of student learning; and (6) simultaneously there is the influence of lecturer competency level, quality of administrative services, completeness of lecture support facilities, and student satisfaction on learning motivation.

Abstract

Abstract: Work readiness can be defined as the extent to which individuals are seen to possess the attitudes and characteristics necessary for future success in the workplace. This study aims to assess the Student Work Readiness Scale. Five dimensions and twenty-one items are arranged to measure the construct of student work readiness. The questionnaire survey was administered to 151 students at Universitas Negeri Malang. The correlation of Pearson’s Product Moment to test validity and Cronbach’s Alpha to test reliability. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the process of instructional leadership within the framework of clinical supervision. This research was carried out with a qualitative approach, participant-observer method. The participants of this study were principals and teachers. This research was conducted at MI Al Fattah, Malang City, Indonesia. The data were collected using observation technique, where the researcher observed the principal’s instructional leadership behavior in fostering teachers based on the clinical supervision framework. The data were analyzed using Mason’s analysis model, namely categories, codes and explanatory logic (Mason, 2020). The results conclude that the processes that can be used by school principals as instructional leaders within the framework of clinical supervision are identification of instructional problems, define and describe the problem, critical analysis, examine solutions, formulate action plans, implementation, and evaluate.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the characteristics of the selected respondents in exploring the development of the Parents Assisted Learning Model (PALM) on the literacy skills of upper-class students in public elementary schools in coastal and mountainous areas. The data analysis technique used is the descriptive analysis technique. The selected research sample is the parents of students as the key subjects of PALM implementation. The results showed that the characteristics of the parents of students who support the development of the Parents Assisted Learning Model (PALM) in order to support the literacy movement of students in elementary schools in coastal and mountainous areas are the parents of students with the type of work of farmer/fisherman/trader/honorary.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the profile of instructional leadership shown by the Principal of Junior High School, Malang City. The experiment was conducted with a qualitative approach. The technique of collecting data used interview, observation, and documentation. Data was analyzed using an interactive model as proposed by Miles and Huberman. The results showed the profile of instructional leadership principals were: (1) the action according to the vision and mission of the school; (2) developing the curriculum according to the vision, mission, and objectives of the school; (3) develop schools towards learning organization; (4) work hard to achieve the success of the school as a learning organization; (5) creating a culture and school climate conducive to learning and innovative; and (6) manage learners in order to develop its capacity. Keywords: instructional leadership, principal, junior high school

Abstract

The current phenomenon of climate change is a significant global issue, particularly affecting coastal regions like the Caribbean. The impacts of climate change disrupt stability across various sectors of human life. Consequently, many individuals are compelled to flee their home countries, leading to the emergence of term used to describe those who relocate due to climate-related challenges in their homeland. The purpose of this study is to assess the legal protections available for climate refugees, with a specific focus on the Caribbean, in light of global climate change and the challenges faced both currently and in the future. The research employs a normative legal methodology, which seeks to identify legal rules, doctrines, and principles to address the legal issues at hand, ultimately generating new arguments, theories, or legal concepts in response to these challenges. This research approach incorporates both a legislative and a conceptual framework. The legal materials utilized in this study include primary legal sources, secondary legal sources, and non-legal materials, gathered through literature review techniques. The findings and conclusions of this study aim to advocate for legal protections for climate refugees in the Caribbean, despite the absence of a clearly defined convention governing this issue. The efforts to provide legal protection can be categorized into three aspects: first, human rights; second, the role of states or international organizations; and third, international regulations.
