Abstract

The microcontroller is one of the necessary parts of a computer system. In a simple microcontroller will produce a specific output based on the input received and the program given. The microcontroller as semiconductor technology its presence greatly assist the development of electronics world. With a functional architecture but contains a lot of transistor content is integrated, thus supporting the creation of a more portable electronic circuit. One effort made to graduate Computer Systems courses can compete in the world of work is to provide more practice. Therefore it takes the media trainer microcontroller training to facilitate practical activities. Through this research, hope can realize a media trainer microcontroller training that can do the instructions given. That is, the most critical part of a computerized system is the program itself created by a programmer.

Abstract

Wireless sensor network is a technology used in supporting monitoring activities both inside and outside environment. Data communication on wireless sensor networks is done wirelessly. The Zigbee protocol is one of the protocols used in data communication on wireless sensor networks as an implementation of XBEE devices. In this study measurement of Zigbee protocol performance on XBEE devices inside and outside environment. The measurement conditions in the room are limited by the wall partition, while the outdoor conditions are line of sight. Measurements were made by sending packet data using XCTU software, by testing distance parameters, packet delay, packet loss, RSSI, and throughput with 84 Bytes packet data size. The results showed that the measurement results of XBEE Pro S2 devices that were carried out indoors were able to communicate with a maximum distance of 30 meters, while the outdoor measurements showed the communication capability of XBEE Pro S2 devices reached a maximum distance of 600 meters.

Abstract

The irrigation system in rainfed lowland is done through a water gate (Temuku). Farmers should always control the height of the water and wetland gates during the dry and rainy seasons. This is due to delays in control which can cause the fields to dry or flooded. In this research, water warning system and Temuku control (water gate) for irrigation of paddy field. This tool can provide water level information and can also close or open the irrigation water gate through an SMS. Components used in the manufacture of water alert warning systems and the control of Temuku (sluice gates) for irrigation rice fields are arduino UNO, ultrasonic sensors, SIM 900 and servo motors. From the results of tests that have been done, it can be concluded that the system of water warning and control of Temuku (sluice gate) for irrigation of paddy field has been able to provide water level information to farmers and also the system has been able to control the irrigation water gate according to the input given by SMS.

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network is a wireless network technology that includes sensor nodes and embedded systems. WSN has several advantages: it is cheaper for large-scale applications, can withstand extreme environments, and data transmission is relatively more stable. One of the WSN devices is nRF24L01+. Within the specifications given, the maximum communication distance is 1.1 km. However, the most effective distance for transmitting data in line of sight and non-line of sight is still unknown. Therefore, testing and analysis are needed so that the nRF24L01+ device can be used optimally for communication and data transmission. Through testing analysis on nRF24L01+ line of sight, Kuta beach location in Bali and non-line of sight on the STMIK STIKOM Indonesia campus. The effective communication distance of the nRF24L01+ module in line of sight is between 1 and 1000 meters. The distance of 1000 meters is the limit of the effective distance for sending data, and the packet loss rate is less than 15% which is included in the medium category. Meanwhile, in the non-line of sight, the effective distance of the nRF24L01+ communication module is 20 meters, and the packet loss is close to 15%, which is a moderate level limit. With the analysis module, nRF24L01+ can be a reference in determining the effective distance on WSN nRF24L01+ in determining remote control equipment data communication.

Abstract

Some distribution transformers in densely populated areas have a loading percentage of more than 100% and also less than 10%. This problem shows that the use of a distribution transformer is inappropriate. With descriptive, correlational and comparative research methods, it is hoped that it can optimize the placement and capacity selection of distribution transformers. Data were taken from 25 people living in the Pemecutan Kelod and Tegal Harum areas using questionnaires and interviews. The data were tested using the T and Pearson tests to determine the effect of placing the distribution transformer. The results of equalization of the load with the addition of a new distribution transformer and relocation of the distribution transformer capacity to the feeder are expected to get optimal results. The technical solution is obtained with a voltage of less than 10% and a distribution transformer capacity that is in accordance with the growth of the population electrical load. Socially and culturally, for the level of conformity there is an increase in the harmony of the population after the placement of a new distribution substation (t = -7.71 and p <0.05), for the comfort level there is an increase in the comfort of the population after the placement of a new distribution substation (t = -9.57 and p <0.05), and for the level of security there was an increase in the tranquility of the population after the placement of a new distribution substation (t = -8.42 and p <0.05). The relationship between suitability and comfort obtained a very strong relationship (r = 0.90), the relationship between suitability and safety obtained a very strong relationship (r = 0.85), and the relationship between comfort and safety obtained a very strong relationship (r = 0.86).

Abstract

Arduino MKR merupakan salah satu bagian dari keluarga arduino yang memiliki kemampuan yang berbeda dengan arduino biasa. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis akan membahas kemampuan dari IC RTC yang sudah tertanam pada papan Arduino MKR dan membandingkan data dari ketelitian pembacaan nilai RTC. Nilai yang didapatkan akan menunjukkan papan Arduino MKR yang memiliki kemampuan pembacaan nilai RTC terbaik. Adapun papan Arduino MKR yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan tipe Arduino MKR 1000, Arduino MKR Fox 1200, dan Arduino MKR Vidor 4000. Untuk mendukung penelitian, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif eksperimental. Penggunaan metode ini sangat cocok digunakan karena metode ini menonjolkan angka sebagai data dan penulis juga melakukan percobaan langsung pada papan Arduino MKR. Setelah penelitian dilakukan, maka dari hasil percobaan diperoleh rata-rata MKR 1000 memiliki selisih waktu terkecil sebesar 2.912 detik dibandingkan dengan MKR Fox 1200 dengan selisih waktu rata-rata 4.097 detik dan MKR Vidor 4000 memiliki selisih waktu rata-rata 5.804 detik. Untuk proyek yang menggunakan RTC (Real Time Clock) direkomendasikan menggunakan  MKR 1000.

Abstract

Safes in the market are usually doesn’t offer a system that can monitor the activities carried out by users on the safe. This becomes a problem when the safe has many users who can access it. We can't identify who, when or what other users are doing. In addition, safes generally have an authentication system that only offers passcodes and keys. That authentication system is considered outdated. In this study, a web-based safe monitoring system was created that uses a fingerprint sensor and passcode as authentication. In addition, this system can also send data about user activity to the website so that admins or other users can monitor anyone who accesses the safe. This system will be tested using black box testing. In the test, it was found that this safe system can only be opened if the user inputs a valid passcode and a finger print that has been registered in the system. In addition, the activity data has been successfully sent to the website. In security testing, it was found that if the safe door is opened forcibly, an alarm in the form of a buzzer will ring and a warning notification will be sent to the website.
