Abstract

Media pembelajaran adalah sarana pendidikan sebagai pembawa informasi dan merangsang peserta didik untuk mempertinggi efektivitas dan efisiensi dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Guru sebagai pendidik tentunya harus memiliki kemampuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang dapat dikembangkan adalah Sparkol Videoscribe. Permasalahan di SMA Taman Madya Jetis adalah kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi dalam pembelajaran, sedangkan pada era revolusi industri 4.0 teknologi merupakan pusat perindustrian. Oleh karena itu, tujuan pelatihan ini adalah untuk memberikan wawasan sekaligus praktik tentang pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis Sparkol Videoscribe untuk meningkatkan kemampuan 3N “niteni, nirokke, nambahi”. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut adalah sosialisasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil dari pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah: (1) peserta memahami bagaimana menggunakan aplikasi Sparkol Videoscribe; (2) peserta mampu membuat media pembelajaran berbasis Sparkol Videoscribe; dan (3) peserta mampu mengaplikasikan media pembelajaran yang telah dibuat.

Abstract

In the strategic plan of the DIY Environmental Service (DLH), it is emphasized that to reduce waste accumulation in TPSTs, waste sorting at the upstream level, such as households, is crucial. However, the issue persists at this level, as observed in boarding school-based institutions like the SahabatQu Islamic Boarding School in Sleman Regency, DIY. The negative repercussions of this problem include a decline in the quality of life and health among students. This service initiative aims to enhance the skills of students by cultivating maggots using organic waste sorted from the school's waste. The approach involves socialization, practical training, and mentoring. The outcome of this activity is an improvement in the knowledge and skills of SahabatQu Islamic Boarding School students in raising maggots to the pre-pupae stage, with some successfully reaching the phase of becoming BSF flies and entering the mating process.

Abstract

Daily waste production in the Yogyakarta Special Region, exceeding 1,000 tons, threatens community health and quality of life. The Yogyakarta Special Region Governor prioritizes waste reduction, including in educational institutions. The Merdeka Curriculum, with its P5 Project, encourages interactive learning and practical waste management, making it highly relevant for increasing students' awareness. This community service program aims to assist in implementing P5 Projects focused on waste management using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggots and ecobricks to reduce waste at its source. Methods include socialization, training, technology application, and ongoing support. Results demonstrate program success: 100% of teachers understand organic and inorganic waste management and are prepared to teach students; 100% of teachers implemented a complete cycle of the P5 Project using BSF maggots and ecobricks; two cross-generational P5 Project teams formed with defined responsibilities; and the implementation of a PPEPP system ensures the program's structured and sustainable continuation.

Abstract

The Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) faces a priority waste problem, with daily production exceeding 1000 tons. Vocational high schools (SMK) with Culinary Arts Programs contribute significantly to organic waste from practical activities. This community service program aimed to reduce waste production at the source (school level) by implementing a creative, circular economy-based project: the cultivation of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggots and tilapia. The methods applied included socialization, training, technology application, mentoring, and evaluation for teachers. The activity focused on training teachers to process school organic waste into BSF maggot feed, which was then utilized as feed for tilapia. The program evaluation results showed that 100% of the participating teachers understood and were able to practice the entire cultivation cycle of BSF maggots and tilapia. The teachers are also ready to disseminate this knowledge to students as a creative project. This program successfully created an effective, integrated food waste management model within the school environment.
